Hey Nairalanders, I'm a northern girl who hails from Adamawa state. My both parents hail from adamawa, thesame local government but different villages. They're both christians. My mum died 2006 and my dad even remarried before her death. The 2nd wife is from a muslim home but converted to christainity for reasons best known to here. Since then we've been living in peace although she hasn't bore a child yet and I don't think my dad is considering marriage.
Right from childhood, I've been around muslims, I've always admired their religion ofcourse apart from the jihad and terrorism. But every other thing about them I love. Now, I'm thinking of converting, I've let my muslim friends know about my decision. But what I'm not certain about is if to let my family know about it, because I know the consequences that would come with it. I'll be disowned and thrown out of the house. But my mind is made up already. I don't know what to do. I'm the 1st daughter and we're just 2gurls.
I know somany of you will condemn me for this but I'm ready to receive all the condemnation and insults from my christian brothers and sisters.

This your case made it evident that throughout your Christian life you never had PERSONAL UNDERSTANDING AND ENCOUNTER OF JESUS Christ just as Christ instructed through Apostle Paul says "Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is LORD, but by the Holy Ghost." 1 Corin 12:3 and as Christ Himself said "Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." John 14:23 Just as many people who profess Christianity are just Church goer like you today.

The interesting part of these two passages is that both address INDIVIDUAL NOT A RELIGIOUS GROUP OR LEADER with "No man & a man"

@bold 2- Let it be known to you that you're not the first person who convert from Christianity to another religion or no religion nor you will be the last, well I know some people will actually condemn you but the truth is they are not God and majority of them might even be dying in ocean of fear of rejection either from family, friend or work sake if they take such step because many people only claimed to be Christian but deep down their heart they have no connection with the Author of life and the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world.

I can see how you misunderstood how God works with people in the scripture.

Things to know:
1. In the Old Testament God ONLY channels His HOLYSPIRIT to perform some specific tasks through some CHOSEN people that's why you can't see a whole congregation in the OT operating under the power of the Holy spirit.

2. In the New Testament God has freely pour out His Spirit UPON ALL FLESH which means The Spirit isn't working selectively by choosing some categories of people but ready to dwell with anybody who does His will.

1- Will a Christian loose the indwell of the Holy Spirit if or when they sin?

The word 'HOLY' that precedes His name denotes the main attribute of The Spirit and sin in other hand is anything that defiled the body or make it unholy. So if a Christian indulges in sin both Holy spirit and sin can't stay in the place. One must stay!

2 - Is the prayer of David in Psalm 51v11 still valid under the new covenant in the blood of Christ?

David's prayer does not bond by any covenant (but operational mode of Holy spirit defers in the two covenants) what the prayer simply means is that God since You've chosen to allow Your Spirit to work through me, please don't let me do any act contrary to Your will that'll make Him depart from me.

If you're not doing the will of the Holy spirit, He will leave you which can be said that God has taken His Spirit from you or the Spirit of God has departed from you.

But that doesn't mean the Spirit can't come back again.

Yes! But being a messenger of God does not make all the messengers of God an Angel.

Some human being are also God's messengers.

Sincerely, I've never stopped giving this a thought since I left home for service.
I have huge plans for my service year- Things I look forward to achieve, degrees, skills, contacts and so on. But above all, I look forward to starting life after my service year.
Now, this decision as we all know isn't one that comes on a platter. My reason for saying this goes thus:
1. To afford an apartment will require rentage and maintenance,
2. I'll have to earn to survive,
3. The Societal system doesn't trow jobs at your lap imidiately after service. Just to mention a few.

What was your experience like and how did you finally get on your feet?
Do you subscribe to going back to my parent's after service?
Did you have to stay at your parent's while starting life outside?
What were the things you did during your service year that helped you in this area at the long run?

How to start?
1. Get empty 50kg cylinder I don't know your area but no matter what it can't cost more than N20k.

2. Fill the 50kg at Gas station at rate of N10-N12k (Talk to them at the station that you want to use it for business not personal use if not they will give you retail price)

With this you still have over N15k left

3. Buy the small empty cylinder of 5kg & 6kg for start.
no matter your area it can't cost more than N4k for 5kg & N5k for 6kg (NOTE: this price is with the GAS BURNER without the burner is lesser)

You can start with 2 of 5kg & 1 of 6kg

Once all these are in place, your business begins.
Simply start REFILLING people's empty cylinder and selling Gas cylinder.


The gain
Take for instance the 5kg the refilling is N1500 and if you're to sell empty and also refill it it's nothing less than N6500 if you're lucky you can sell it above this. (Don't let this gain enter your eyes)

Note: you don't need to rent a shop just start in front of your compound.

Well what I know is this, it's not man who will tell God how to run His system it's what God wants that man will follow and God has foretold the sacrificial lamb that will take away the sin of the world by laying various anti-type of it since the very first day Adam sinned by killing an animal and used it to cover their sin TEMPORARILY and through the prophets of OLD TESTAMENT until THE SEED of the Woman will come and bruise the head of the accuser who is Satan.

For your information PREDESTINATE does not mean God PURPOSELY created death and suffering but as a God He knew end from the beginning that's He knows how the whole things will run because I see you making this mistake that's why you thing MAN IS PURPOSELY CREATED to die.
