Health › Re: Cameroon Rolls Out First Malaria Vaccination by epainos: 6:20am On Jan 23, 2024
ShoeGetSize:
The vaccine has already passed through the trial stage. Vaccine trials on human test subjects are 100% voluntary and they are bound by strict bio ethical guidelines.

The only reason it is being rolled out in tropical Africa is because that is the region of the world where malaria causes the greatest loss of life because most people are too poor to afford antimalarial medication and many of the antimalarial brands on the market now are losing their efficacy because the malaria parasite is developing drug resistance to them.

My only dissatisfaction is that it is only 36% effective, meaning that only 36% of those vaccinated will feel the full benefit of the treatment.
Amy nation exposing dirty stagnant water (not adopting closed drainage system) will forever have malaria issue. Period! Even if the nation is rich and can afford to waste money on medications. Yes, there comes a time when resistance will be developed. And listen...all of those taking the shots will keep renewing it. Those 30% who shared initial resistance due to the shots will soon or later bow to malaria. The only way out is to eradicate mosquitoes.

If you are poor to the extent of still killing yourself by looting money meant for constructing good roads, that is on you. That is why I don't say RIP to politicians. You die, you go to hell. Period. I bet most Nigerians don't know what is called a closed drainage road system. It is so disgusting to see those open drainage systems in Nigeria.

Ireti Kingibe is on the way to making Wike more powerful. grin

Who is responsible for the security in Abuja where the president resides? Lol. Some people are using her to tackle Wike. cheesy

Below was my response to a dude some minutes ago on this matter:

Wike's enemy will only make him closer to the president and more powerful with this strategy. The president will be at peace that Wike is taking the bullets for him, and Wike will gradually start attending meetings with chief security members of the nation. Soon, the chief of staff, naval staff, army staff, police, etc will start taking orders from Wike. Mark my words.

Some old people can be funny. So, they think using these hungry youths to mount pressure on Tinubu to sack Ganduje will work. Lol. grin I laugh in Swahili. It will take something really bad to separate Tinubu and Ganduje. The president appoints only trusted people as his chief of staff, ADC, and Chairman of the party. Lol.

The only way to sack Ganduje is to show the president that he is no longer loyal to him. Anything outside this....Ganduje will be the chairman for the next 8 years. And automatically, he will be extremely powerful.

ddippset:
But if there was good security and peace in the FCT don't you think Wike and his fans would be claiming they brought that to FCT?
Do your question and assumption still validate the fact Wike is not responsible for security in Abuja or anywhere in Nigeria?

Should you target Wike and his fans or the person responsible for it? Does it make sense to target the wrong person because you think he would lay claim to it if it was well? That's your assumption anyway. Even if he did it, I am sure people like us would tell him the person responsible for it is the president.

I'hv being trying to stop my mum from consuming excess beef in her food including her addiction to indomie, but to no avail she is not gonna stop. She can eat five pieces of beef in a small plate of rice at a time. And she is not the type that use to stress herself or engage in any exercise, too much of indomie and beef is excess fat. How do i advice her as her child?
Bro...don't wahala yourself cos she will never change until something changes her. So, don't become a nuisance to her. My sincere advice is that you should be ready to either become a gardener or go gather enough cash for organic green vegetables when that thing don jam her.

If you truly love her, you will be her nutritionist. Doctors cannot cure what she will contact, but only manage her. And the medications are what will still kill her enemy las las. Go watch all those diabetic, cancer, and HBP patients...most of them (not all) are killed by the side effects of the medications they take.

I have gotten several people off diabetics and HBP medications completely, and it is the power of nutrition.

See, you cannot get good food in Naija. Forget it. If you don't want to do it, you will commission a farmer and you will visit heaven and return grin when you hear the bill. So, learn it yourself and start growing them.

Dem no dey "telli" person. It is not a curse, something go jam her soonest.

Politics › Re: Reinstate Betta Edu As Minister, Middle Belt Coalition Begs Tinubu by epainos:
The Foundational Problem with Nigeria
Hmmm! This thread is proof of my stand that tribalism is the foundational problem with Nigeria and not corruption.

Corruption is a monster we MUST destroy, but tribalism gave birth to it, and it is still nurturing it. The moment we cut off tribalism, we will easily kill corruption. I said it many times....just because s(he) is from my tribe, we always want to forgive or defend such a person. Or cos s(he) is from my side, I need to do such a favour and give such the position whereas there are better-qualified people out there. Cos we must make a quota system, we cant choose the best.

Yes, I agree that we want development in our area so we need to put our own there. This is what is killing Nigeria. We will not grow. So, instead, let us get rid of that thing finally.

The Solution
We must make ourselves one. If we cannot make ourselves one, we cannot defeat tribalism. And if we can't defeat it, corruption will keep growing fat. Are we ready to make ourselves one so that there is no more nepotism and neglect of a group of people?

The Price
Deep integration is the price we must pay. What do I mean? We will need to create hybrids.

Cultural and religious conflicts will be the initial challenge we will face, and while trying to address them, we may lose our cultures if we do it wrongly. However, some strategies must be in place to protect our cultures.

I Can Fix Nigeria
I have 6 weapons to fight tribalism which are:

1. Inter-tribal marriages
2. Residency Rights
3. Rural Development & Agriculture
4. Ecology & Oceanic Resources (Green & Blue Economy)
5. Protection of Cultural Heritage
6. Women's Empowerment

I won't say more....but give me the space to work, and I will turn around Nigeria in 4 years (Just one term). I don't need to be the president, but work directly with the president and I will achieve this.

If you had disagreed with me on my previous posts, you owe me an apology if you had insulted me.

I never attacked you! Mate! grin go back and read my initial response to your comment, point out where i insulted you, i began with telling you that you are no different from the people you are calling evil, is that an attack? Do you even know what attack means? grin Jeeez!

Look! I can be very rude also, i can be a bloody bully it just that i am not in that mood now and i am not St Peter, what ever da fork that mean? I just wanted to teach you how to be civil to people you don't know personally and stop calling people evil without ever meeting them.
The guy who claimed he invested in the show was he not paid? The show may have invested in him hopping that he will stay longer with the show but instead he left them.
You see? How you just misunderstood my example of invest with if your son lives you? And how you interpreted it differently? That is why i said invest can be interpreted in different ways. Your interpretation is not what i meant, you can let your son iive with you rent free, free food and free everything because you may want them to be able to estabilish themselves before moving outta your house, so that they don't come running back to you if they cannot survive on their own, that can be termed as investing in them, i am not a Naigerian father, i would never depend on my sons, if anything they depend on me. grin you are still being derogatory, only you thinks your head correct, you are so ignorant man!

Stop lecturing me. Or giving me an assignment, you are not knowdgeable enough to do so.. grin and stop thinking you know me, you don't! Just as i don't know you!

You still think you are right grin i give up!

I am not your bro!
Hmmm. You are my brother whether you like it or not. grin I like an attribute you have, but I won't tell you. Just keep it up. I like people like that. I have it too. Don't ask me ooo cos I won't tell you. wink

Well, my point is that Stiff invested his time too in the show. That the show was the platform to stardom does not mean he also does not invest in it. 9 years no be beans bro. If you jam "use and dump", you will get my point.

Of course, Stiff was paid, and it is compulsory he must be paid. Lol. Let the producer and director not pay na. Let them look for volunteers na...they will know what's up. Business is Business. I want you to know this...employers cannot function without employees. This is how it is. Poverty is the reason we worship employers here....guy, you better join guys who work online and earn dollars in Naija. Na soo ooo. You will dump that useless N500k job if you jam a good offer.

This life is about cooperation. Yes, I agree that he invested in the show big time. Spiff did a wonderful job there. To be honest, can you say the show is still the same standard? Lol. What if he had left earlier? Perhaps the show would have crashed...or maybe not.

I agree that we should appreciate our employer and the platform we use to climb the ladder, but we should value ourselves too. We all need to work together to achieve good things. The show producer and director may not be successful too without Stiff. Who knows? Maybe.

Rema was nobody before Don Jazzy met him...and will you say Rema is not investing in Jazzy's business? Ok...let him not sign Rema na...perhaps he won't have singers who are in the limelight. Forget Tiwa...cos she was already gonna be there before Jazzy signed her. And I am not saying Rema is the reason for his singers to have more recognition. Yes, Jazzy has been known in the international scene, but Rema pushed him out more. So...Rema isn't investing now...right? Rema could have dumped Jazzy like 2 years ago when he got to the top, but he didn't. Would you say Rema would be a traitor or betrayal if he dumped him? Yes..I think many will think so. But not me. For me...I won't crucify him. He doesn't have to be with Jazzy. This is the truth. But Jazzy himself is not bad. You wan go...carry your load...he does not give a damn. Why? Cos he knows he has what it takes to find a replacement. But will the replacement move very fast like Rema? We don't know. This is life.

There are so many scenarios that can occur....so, life is simple. Stiff is not wrong for saying he invested in the show because he surely did. Na you dey see an as an insult or whatever.

Enough....I said too much already. I wish you the best bro.

Good luck!

You think i don't know what investing or invest means? grin grin just because you managed to type on your phone, you think you are more educated than everyone else..

NB. On invest or investing, if your Son lives with you, rent free, free food, and free everything and relies on you for emotional support. Would that be termed as you his father investing in him or not? You don't have to answer, invest or investing can be interpreted in different context. It is not binary.

I have no beef with you. I am here to learn and catch fun. grin grin there is no need for the derogatory remarks if you are eduacted as you claimed, you would know that. If you cross path with me in the street would be this rude? I doubt it. Faceless forum has made it easy for you to be rude to people you don't know for no reason.

Be lucky!
So you can tone down your post. Lol. Na waooo. You just attacked my post like Mr. Macho. Now that you got a good response, you want to play St. Peters. angry

Look at the bolded part, and compare it with what I told you to do. Must I spell it for you? Uma go say person dey insult you. Why not just scram if you know you don't have the right answer? Oga...go and learn about "investing time". Your kids staying with you is not a time investment. Ha ba!

Your kind sees your kids as an investment. Wrong approach. This is still the useless Nigerian mentality we need to correct. Oga, putting in time to train your kids is not investing time in them. When you invest, you must gain back. This is an investment. But you brought the kids into this world, and it is your primary obligation to look after them. If you were in a better country, you could freely give them out. But you won't be allowed to give birth to more and throw them away. Taking care of your kids is an obligation you need to cater for. It is your obligation.

In Nigeria, you always say children are investments...una heads no correct ni. If una heads are correct, we will modernize our healthcare system and set up care homes...not depending on our kids to take care of us in our old age.

For sure, if the kids want to do it and opt for the parents to live with them...fine. Why not? This is why it is good to be good to kids and building a good relationship with them is vital. But Nigerian daddies are psychopaths. grin Always trying to force their will on their kids. This is why they don't agree with the system abroad. Na to dish out corporate punishment dem sabi. Ma.d set of people.

Your assignment is to learn about Increasing your value while investing time in others. Go and learn about this, and it will be well with you.

Shalom bro!

The distributor in your area is responsible for it; however, they will not invest in areas where they aren't making a profit. It is only PHCN who could afford to be on a loss in those days cos the government is wasteful.

If you live in an area where there are minimal or no illegal connections, residents pay regularly, and residents are high users, no one will teach the distributor to replace faulty equipment immediately.

But when you live in an area where many residents don't pay their bills, so many illegal connections, meter by-passing connections of high-powered equipment, etc.. you won't have a regular electricity supply. And when there is any faulty equipment, you will suffer before they replace it. When you then have a faulty transformer which is a major expense, they won't supply you. They aren't supposed to ask you, so they will ignore you. Rather, they will take the little ones they supply you and give areas that pay them well. This is business. This is business.

For example, Ebute Meta in Lagos is notoriously known for illegal connections and they don't pay their bills. Dem dey suffers back to back in that area. Lol. But go to Magodo where a flat pays about N20 to N70k per month, and even more, they have an offline period of only 1 or 2 hours daily. At times, it is 24/7 light on.

Dem dey steal from the distributor, and it is struggling to make a profit...now, they want that same distributor to embark on a major expense. Lol. Na dem destroy that transformer cos of overload. ACs and high-powered equipment they did not register they were going to use...they added them and bypassed the meter. Lol. Dem think say dem wise. See...rather than cutting off their lines, they now adopt giving them long offline periods.

The ball is in your court. If you want almost steady electricity, go and get a place around rich people who always pay their bills. Poor people are their enemies. Na dem wicked pass. No mercy for them again. No subsidy. Gbam!!!

In all honesty I made between 600k-1.5m per month.

Just of recent, the zeal to Japa to Canada has been on my mind through school route. I currently have like 7m in my account and I know I could raise it till 15m before the end of the year. The cost of schooling keep giving me issue. How will someone travel abroad and spend over 15m when I could used the money to buy hostel from people who desperately needs money or invest in real estate.

Another concern of mine is that the future of legal profession is reducing because of the amount clients are paying particularly in the area of agreement and other things.

Definitely, I won't be selling the house if I decide to relocate, the rent from the two flats will go to my mom and the least could only be 500k per year. I won't have issues sending money at home.

Please, I really need advice from lawyers that are there, how do you cope migrating. Is it advisable I leave, if yes, what are the first things I might encounter, if am relocating it will be with my family. I just don't want to regret relocating. The exchange rate is just too much
Sir! JAPA

1.5m is just $1,200.

Masters law is cheap, so you don't need much. And even if you need much, it is still worth it.

Number 2: Good healthcare system

Number 2: Good education and almost free elementary and high school. And they already have a path to university. You are paying zero or very little.

You will know what's up when you start paying for the tuition of your children at the university.. grin

You may keep in touch with Naija. Sir, you need just 3 to 4 years before you get your residence permit, and then your pali. If you can get your residence within 4 years max, you are free to come to Naija anyhow you want. And when you finally get your pali... that's it.

So think about it. Will 5 years of sabbatical disturb your law profession in Naija? If you plan well I don't think so. If you think there are enough goodies in Naija, just save like $20,000 after you get your pali and move back to Naija...you can go to Canada for a holiday.

But I know that Canada offers more benefits than Naija. Just 2 million naira you won't stay behind. Please.... japa.

The people Japa is not for are the people who don't have the means to finance their stay there. They are always stressed. If you plan very well and you need the right set of people, you will do well in Canada.

You can become an immigration lawyer. Also, you may look into the real estate industry there because housing in Toronto presently is hard. Again, you can look into the financial part of law. The options are just too many for you if you know what you are doing.

The only challenge is your spouse. If she doesn't work in Canada, you will find it hard.
