Including in Alimosho where I voted with less than 5% of the population of ibo people? So, these people think APC actually won Lagos ? Keyamo must be under the influence of something cheap. Not you guys fault anyway. We will meet in court. We don't need to exchange words with anyone over this. At the PU where I voted at Alimosho, I snapped the result sheets , same as the LP and other party agents. Shockingly, when the result was being announced, I saw a different figure. The LP agent called ma and I asked her to be calm. We have enough evidence nationwide. This isn't a generation some fraudulent politicians wouid toy with and get away with it

We never wanted APC again in my LG and same happened in other LGAs in Lagos and the outcome of the 25th Feb had shown. Keyamo is a shameless being, even had the effrontery to say a candidate from outside lagos rigged...and people were just watching helplessly in a state tinubu claimed to be so popular? grin. He must have rigged Plateau and abuja too. Bunkum

Don't say this in Alimosho. They could Mob you. He didn't till ground there, unkike ambode who touched every LG in less than 4 years with massive projects. That's why the majority of the population in Alimosho, the most populous LG in Nigeria refused to vote tinubu

That's my worry right now...my Turkish partner chatted me tuday and said...but I learnt your incoming president once dealt drugs. I couldn't just defend this man cos the evidence is in the public domain for anyone to dig. He nw said, what would this portray your country in the comity of nations? I thought you guys were learned enough to do it right.

Check the number of World leaders who had poured in their congratulatory messages so far. From there alone, every sane being would know Nigeria is on a long tin, in the usual saying.

ogwumgbe:
Lagos is historically Edo or Benin, stop claiming land that doesn't belong to you. Do Yoruba kings answer Oba? you people should just borrow a leaf from Britain and keep your dirty stinking mouths shut before you stir the anger of Nigerians and opened the hornet's nest
My dad told me same. If you go to edo state, you'd see the way their Kings apparels look like, very similar to those worn by obas in Lagos. Eko is an edo language. Iga( iga iduganran for example) is an edo word. People should grab the history of lagos and read from pali to pali. Lagos obas used to be taken to Benin for burial after their death. Oshodi is edo language. Its actually Oshodin. People bear this name in Edo. It's a popular ne. Agege, apapa, etc. Oba Akiolu sef confirmed this. However, that doesn't make Lagos an edo land. Its in yorubaland, just the way Ijaw people can't claim the ese-odo and parts of ilaje where they occupy is an ijaw land, no!

That said, we're all Nigerians. Tribalism shouldn't have a place in our lives and living . This thing keeps retarding our growth as a nation but we dont seem to care. We met it here and we'd leave it behind. Those fighting over tribalism are the poorest in Lagos and they'd die same way if they don't change their mindset. We need each other to survive. Even tinubu isn't denying being an osun indigene. Its on his wiki page where he said he had his primary education in osun . No tinubu family had primary education outside lagos

Pa jakande who's our uncle from the maternal side hailed from kwara state. He remains the best governor in Lagos till today. My dad is from yoruba-speaking side of edo, near isua akoko. It's less than 5 minutes walk from isua but mum is from lagos, pa jakande family. Dad was born here to a yoruba woman from ekiti. Hamzat, the current deputy governor of lagos isn't from lagos. Igbos had developed Lagos much more than yorubas living here had done, individually.

Wherever they dominate, they develop with their own funds and passion. Go to Ago, okota, ojo, alaba, up to the island. Ago was a sordid slump. They sandfilled the place, bought transformers, etc. My friend's dad had his house close to Wasiu Ayinde's house there. Wesę kept demolishing that house. Its a swampy area. He left there eventually. The IGR Lagos is earning from Igbo business alone is more than what we are paying lagos govt and some brainless beings are saying they must leave? . If you now say they should leave, what does it profit you and I? Can you sell parts, cars, manage hotels, supermarkets, etc which are the vacuum they'd be leaving behind? I've not seen any yoruba doing all these. We're more of corporate-oriented people.

You also can't say they shouldn't participate in elections and vote based on their choice wherever they live when you're doing the same where you are. All these nonsense must end now. God bless Lagosians and God bless Nigeria.

This can reduce unnecessary argument when such a sensitive issue like this is being discussed. The biased Falana sef knows this. You cannot upturn the constitution. I noticed his sense of bias when he said we don't need military to man this election as if he didn't know better of the antecedents.

PoliticsRe: Atiku's Loss In The Presidential Election: The Major Causes. by Eriokanmi: 1:41pm On Feb 28, 2023
Xeeman:
Alhaji Waziri has made many unwise decisions which are responsible for his loss at the presidential polls. They are:

1. Siding with the likes of Tambuwal and Sule Lamido against Kwankwaso during PDP northwest zonal tussle. Now Kwankwaso has proven to be more useful poitically than the others.

2. Allowing Peter Obi to leave the party. He could have stayed if the VP seat has been reserved for him with genuine commitment.

3. Selecting Okowa instead of a more powerful Wike. Okowa didn't add value to the tiket.

4. Unability to let go the party chairman, Ayu, to pacify the so-called G5 governors. Ayu couldn't deliver Benue state to Atiku.

I hope the presidency of the projected winner, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed tinubu would be the best for the country.

May Nigeria succeed.
#NigeriaDecides
#nigeriaelection2023
The 2nd reason isn't tenable. Presidency was to be zoned to the south in accordance with their internal arrangements but out of greed, he flew into the country from his Dubai second home to buy a form and heavily bribed his way in. I so loved the way he spent heavily out of the looted funds. His account would never remain same again. Had this arrangements taken place, they probably would have won with Obi as their candidate. Wike wouldn't even have done so much as atiku had done, had he secured the ticket.

Conflict of interest brought down the PDP. Obi saw this coming and the moment he realised how heavily Atiku bribed people to secure the ticket, he backed off and joined the LP. The serial loser in this election is Kwakwanso cos of his Ego. That's the major problem of African leaders. See the man he said won't go far , that he's a social media candidate. Do you know how many Senate and Reps Seats won by LP in this election? Had he buried his ego, his case would have been like that of Obama-Biden today.

This election is a lesson to everyone, including the powerful in the Nigerian political space, not to underestimate anyone , anymore. I don't believe people voted candidates along religous lines in this election, except the core north. APC wouldn't have been able to secure such massive votes down south, had religion play any role, especially in the states in the SW,SE and SS where Christians were on the majority side. Amazingly, apc secured senate seats in SE and SS.

Only the core north voted along the religous paths and its understandable. Its been a primordial issue which their leaders need to address because this may cause them vote the wrong candidate in future cos he's of same faith as them. Merit should be viewed above religous sentiments and some of them are emancipated now.

God bless Nigeria

PoliticsDear Obidients, Congratulations To US. We Fought A Great Fight by Eriokanmi(op): 9:22am On Feb 28, 2023
Dear Obidients. We fought a good fight , even though we were rigged out. I'm happy some urchins who had conscience had also admitted to this fact. Only LP didn't rig elections in their favour. We came out willingly, spent our own money to mibilize and campaign instead of being induced by our leaders. A structurless party who came together in less than 6 months for a common cause and performed so well, winning many senate and house of assembly's seats nationwide, even defeating the rulling and opposition parties in many states. We shall have a mixed assembly this time as I once predicted, this is good for our democracy. There won't be dominance as usual by a particular party.

Personally, I achieved my aim of joining the Labour Party from the APC where i was once deeply rooted. I joined APC back then cos of Buhari's antecedents but I didn't see that change I was expecting. I chose to join LP not because obi is a Christian or from another tribe, nor because i needed a position or influence. I'm comfortable and I thank God for that. but because I liked Obi's ideas. He's also not a thief, unlike our politicians being celebrated today. Someone like him will do well in any progressive-minded country. INEC is a huge disappointment for not walking their talk on free, fair and credible elections, by allowing political riggers to have their way , using the loopholes created by them at the various polling units.

I told my people we'd deliver Lagos for the LP and we achieved that....that's one of my aims. Urchins have been calling me all manner of names since the inception of the electioneering campaigns cos of my stance on Obi but I don't care. Anyone of them who thinks only Igbos voted Tinubu out in Lagos needs to visit a psychiatrist. They need to come to Alimosho LG which is the largest in Lagos and the entire country in population and count the number of igbos there. We're 98% yorubas. Let urchins start by killing the Yorubas there who voted out Tinubu first before going to igbo dominanted areas and see our wrath. Lagosians had spoken, not a particular tribe. I know that isn't gonna happen, its a mere chest-beating from urchins.

That said, I'd urge obidients to remain calm and not take the law into their own hands. We're a much more civilised and sane people. We should allow the law to take its course. Most of us as we all know, are not poor as I've met with a large number of us in the course of this journey. We're also professional to the core and we benefit nothing from the Fed or state govt rather, they take from us in taxes. 99% of us don't even have Obi's contact , let alone meeting with him physically. We only want the best for our dear country. We were rigged out but its fine. If a presidential aspirant could lose his home states ( both osun and Lagos) , then his integrity and that of the elections in places where he had won is questionable. Charity begins at home, they say and that means a lot on the integrity of this election. We don't want to talk of the proofs in our hands. We shall meet at the court.

Dear Obidients, please get back to work and allow urchins enjoy their victory while it lasts. If anyone complains of bad governance here, I'd just turn a deaf hear. Everybody will face the consequences of their choices. A vote for Tinubu is a vote for nepotism and failure of the apc cos tinubu alone can't govern under apc. Nigeria is bigger than lagos where you can do some things and get away with it. We'd continue to support our dear country by being law-abiding and exercising our rights by way of paying our taxes and doing our country proud.

To all the religious bigots who thought only Christians voted Obi, Alimosho LG has the highest number of Muslims in Lagos. Anyone who also thinks the majority of those who voted Tinubu are Muslims should go to Ondo, Ekiti and Ogun and count how many Muslims live there, Benue and other places too, including the south east and south south where they won senate seats. People should shun religous and tribal bigotry. Democracy is about choices and we'd all reap the consequences of it.

The struggle continues. We will come back much stronger. Congrats to all the obidients.

God bless Nigeria.

Niger, Kwara and now Benue

Likely winning Kogi.

So how is Peter obi going to win North Central.

I guess in Plateau state..
Obi has won Nasarawa and Plateau. Plateau results alone, which was over 1.2m, would swallow Tinubu's less than 3k diff from Obi's votes in Benue, Niger, kogi including 3 states in NE and NW.where he won.

Tinubu may win 25% in at least 24 states but can't win the majority votes in this election, obi will. Come back and challenge this later

Dear Co-end Sars activists, the Lagos elections' resuits were a proof we are not cowards. This is victory for every victim of police brutality and intimidation by political moneybags in Lagos in particular and Nigeria in general.

This victory, is dedicated to the fallen heroes and heroines of the endsars aftermath of 2020 as well. When we said we'd pay Emilokan back, he thought it was a joke. They called us all manner of names...ipobs, traitors, miscreants, to mention but a few, despite seeing us waive only Nigerian flags they called army to kill. Our Muslim brothers were also seen praying at lekki toll gate on jumaat but they still called all of us ipop imported from outside to disrupt lagos peace. Whatever they call us, no worries, we move!

RIP Barr Bolanle Raheem, the most recent victim of police brutality. You remain in our heart.

This struggle is just the beginning. The presidential election results would be a tip of the iceberg, by the time the governorship election results are out, come, march. We've been hurt so badly. They shouldn't have called the military when we posed no threats to anyone.

Anyone who thinks a particular tribe voted out apc in this election must be joking. They must be ready to attack every lagosian from each LG then. The Lagosians had spoken( both Muslims and Christians alike ) , simple. In Alimosho where APC lost, igbo population is less than 10%. That's my LG and where i grew up. We're mainly lagosians, born and bread. We're the largest LGA in Lagos. So from there, anyone who plans to attack any tribe other than yoruba in Lag would be acting foolishly. The bigger bang is coming. Eko o ni baję ju bayii lo. Amin!
