IT is amazing to see how "christians" have all rushed out in defense of RCCG.

I for one am only here to state my own personal opinion.

In these end times, we are seeing so many things that we are now forced to ask ourselves if it is worth it. Yes it is okay to justify our every move in the name of God. Hells tomorrow if RCCG decides to build a multi-billion dollar airport to park their planes, it will also be justified (In the name of GOD). Afterall Convenant Uni was built by a church and yet over half the total congregation of that church cannot afford to send their kids to a school they contributed to build, (all in the name of GOD)
Now I am forced to ask, "WHAT SHALL IT PROFIT A MAN, IF HE GAINS THE WORLD (or builds a multibillion naira edifice), AND LOOSES HIS SOUL>.

The most Important thing is not your comfort nor the size of your buildings. Infact the size of ur building will not save a soul.

Comfort abi?? IT is better for a man to enter into the kingdom of GOD with one hand, than for him to comfortably go to hell, (just so u get me right, 'm not judging anybody, just stating the facts).

The catholic church can afford to build edifices that are twice the size of RCCG in every continent, but yet havent. Such things only happen with these new generation churches were one man is the King.

Just a few years back, Pastor Chris OKOTIE said the Lord told him he will become the next president of Nigeria, (U know the story), Several prophecies came about the death of OBJ in office (Now he is now in school), yet even with these happening christians are still very naive and gaullible.

Now lets reason like "NORMAL" people, Do u even have any Idea how much 7.7 billion Naira is?? That money could comfortale put up a series of low-cost houses for the poor and under-previledged in RCCG, It could build one of the finest clinics in Nigeria were the sick could be treated of their sicknesses, IT could build schools in so many rural communities and contributed positively to the lives of billions of ppl for ages. It could have planted several other churches all over Nigeria and won even more souls, but rather

Accomodation; This depends on what you want. Cable, air-conditioning, room-service, constant electricity, e.t.c. If you want all these options and more then you will have to pay more (bout 50dollars-120dollars per night). Examples of such hotels include Novotel Accor hotels (Accra), Shangrila (Accra), Elimina Hotels (Cape Coast) and some others (I cant remember all of them). But there are other cheaper yet decent hotels which offer you air-conditioning (only when there is public power supply but they offer you fans and basic lighting when there is public power outage), No cable (just public television/free view), No room service (but they offer you a very crappy breakfast), none of those fancy things (just a simple bed and breakfast). These cost around (250,000 cedis - 300.000cedis @ 900,000cedis to 100dollars _{(do the maths )} ). But on the up side, these cheap hotels are located in the center of town. Examples are Josca lodge (Accra), Bineys bed and breakfast (Accra), University guest house (cape coast), e.t.c _{(I'll add more as I remember them).}

Restaurants/fast food; There are some pretty good ones around. In Accra, there is Nandos/On the run (Osu food court) This is very popular in Ghana and is located in Osu, Papaye (Accra) another popular fast food restaurant, Frankies (Accra) this is a hotel/restaurant/fast food joint. They are quite expensive, but very good. Bus stop (Accra) is a bar/restaurant (You'll find alot of Nigerians here (mostly traders)), Elimina Hotels (cape coast) Expensive and very good. Ovation House (Accra) This is a Nigerian joint owned by Dele Momodu. It is very very good, and quite expensive, but it is all worth it. They also serve Ghanaian local dishes as well as continental dishes. (I'll update as I remember them).

Transportation; Since you''ll be shuttling between cities (Accra-Cape Coast-Takoradi), I will recommend you use the following public transport companies; STC (they are very good, cheap, safe, comfortable and somewhat reliable. They are a very organised transport company and are also very popular.), KTS (they are equally good, but not as organized as STC and they cover fewer routes. Also safety is not all that guaranteed), OA (this is another good transport company. They have some "F-_ed up" lookin buses but they are alright.)
Travelling within any town, it is advisable you take the cab on charter or "droppin". Its relatively cheap depending on the distance traveled and is normally in the range of 10,000-20,000 cedis per "droppin".

Nightclub's; I think Tomi has provided you with a very comprehensive list of all the nightclubs/bars.

Tourist Attractions; You might have to ask a Ghanaian but these are some of the places I would recommend you visit. Cape Coast; This town is full of history. like the name, it is surrounded by water (the atlantic ocean) and is littered with Slave castles and forts. You will definitely enjoy your visit. You might have to travel long distances (bout 30mins to 1hr) to see some of the more facinating and pretty beaches and castles but it is al worth it. Lots of beaches, loads of sea foods, and generally a quite city. Has no real night life. Accra; Capital city, not much here bt it is a very nice city. has a few beaches, museums, their independence square e.t.c. Takoradi; Has a cople of slave relics, and also has some nice beaches too. it is more like a commercial city but to see the beaches and stuffs, you have to travel into the villages. it is quite nice. about 30mins from cape coast. Tema; Beaches and joints. Nice clubs and generally fun Kumasi; All round commercial center of the country. Has a very active nightlife but thats were it ends. Oh I think theres a place called "Lake botsontwi" heard its nice but I've never been there. Other places are up north, I have no real info bout those areas. I'll find out and get back at you.

Security; The place is generally safe. No qualms bout nothing. There are a few very rough neighborhoods, but I doubt you'll ever wander into those areas.

Cost; The cost of things here are erm!! Ermm! I dont know. Here is a helpful pointer. use the exchange rate I provided earlier and cross-check them with the estimates I've gien you and convert. Nb; Since they are re-denominating their currency, things will change and I learnt inflation has gone up byabout 15%. I'll keep you posted. Or better yet, give me a list of the stuffs you'd like to know their prices and I'll help you out.

The problem in rivers state cannot be solved by declaring a state of emergency. In fact that will only worsen things. Those boys are so heavily armed that they make law enforcement agents look like boys scouts. At first this whole kidnapping thing was a sign of protest. Guidelines to running a successful church/religious business.

1. Location; The really big customers will like a very convenient location with ample parking space (for their expensive cars)
2. Comfortability; The customers _{(especially the rich ones)}, wont like to be sitted in an uncomfortable arena. So comfortable chairs need to be provided. A good arena (preferably in a high brow area or the hall of an expensive hotel will also attract big customers.
3. Sermon; This is very important. The well educated customers will need this in order to convince them to stay. So you need to read alot of biblical literatures, listen to the preachings of oyinbo (white pastors like Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, T.D Jakes e.t.c), speak with a foreign accent, and make sure most of your sermons has to do with wealth acquisition.
4. Dress code; This is also very important. You as the pastor will have to set the standard. Emporio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Lauren, Versace, Polo, GAP e.t.c should be amongst the dresses in your wardrobe. The pastor has to always look good (this gives hope to the congregation).
5, Title; You will need a good title. This will determine your level amongst other pastors in the business. Since this is a new church, you need to start with something small like Pastor or Reverend. Then you will promote yourself to the rank of Reverend dr., then Bishop, Arch bishop, General Overseer, Commander in chief, Field Marshall, Pope, then even GOD (if you like)
6. Entourage; You need to move with a crew of at least 10 people. 6 bodyguards, 1 personal assistant, 1 double (for security reasons), 2 outriders. This is to create awareness.
7. Public Relations; This involves Crusades, Retreats, Conventions, e.t.c. You holds such big gatherings with catchy titles like "Miracle bonanza 07", Miracle Explosion", Financial breakthrough Extravaganza, "Divine Encounter", Total Experience e.t.c. The idea behind these programs are to draw in/lure more customers to the church by promising them financial, spiritual and medical solutions to all their problems.
8. Advertising; Use all three medias radio, television and newspapers. Billboards, posters, flyer's e.t.c should also be used.
9. Merchandising; This is a very good source income generation. Cassettes, VCD;s, DVD's, Bumper stickers, T-shirts, Books, holy-water, olive oil/anointing oil, Blessed handkerchiefs, e.t.c
10. Franchising; You could open schools, universities, shopping malls, business centers, e.t.c even run for presidency.

I hope this will at least give you an idea of how to start your new business.
