Elder0001: JONNYSPUTE:It wasn't a house-help but yeah, an employee nevertheless and some people treat their employees badly, both men and women. As terrible as it is, I have also stayed in enough places to know it's not just a Nigerian thing. So there is nothing specifically Nigerian or 'women' about maltreating the less privileged. When men do terrible things, we don't call the entire gender, we only criticize the individual. But whenever a woman does something terrible, everybody will be shouting "fear women", "Nigerian women are terrible", etc. Point is, his quote should be about Regina and not Nigerian women. We don't say Nigerian men are terrible when we read the robbery and rape cases we see everyday on the front page. Even when it's mostly men tarnishing our image in the cyberspace, we still say 'Nigerians' instead of singling out men. But if it were mostly ladies, that's when you'd hear how devilish Nigerian women are. Let's stop the gender bias |
pheelhip:Lol MisterFelix1:You guys barely need any motivation to start bashing Nigerian women. Regardless of what the title says, you'd still find a way to make it about Nigerian women. Does this this make you feel more manly? Do you even realise how childish it is? Funny thing is that most of you have never left Nigeria before to know what other women are like. |
I don't follow BBN (I actually intended to follow it this year but can't access it) but I think the the viewers outside the house are the ones painting a terrible image of the show with all the dirty headlines they put up just to get traffic, followers or comments. Of all the activities that take place in the house, it's such split-of-a-second posture that's worth writing about. If someone walks, it'll be termed "moving ass", if someone sits close to another, it'll be termed "romance", etc.. The show is overly sexualised by content writers who constitute the source of information for those not following the show. While in reality, the show doesn't have nearly as much dirty language nor nudity as our music videos we're all proud of. Just an observation. Good Morning. |
Drake is from Canada, not the US. This song was released 10 years ago. |
Can someone please take this poor boy to a psychiatric hospital? ![]() |
You should probably take this to the rap battle section. |
Ibrahimmrfish:I know, I read the write-up. I'm only suggesting you add it to the title for clarity sake. |
OP, you might need to add currency to your title to better send your message. I think you forgot that. |
Kranediggy:Are we really going to act as if we don't know why you prescribed that as a remedy for masturbation? Otherwise, how does specifically having a girlfriend/boyfriend (as against just friends) stop you from masturbating? Anyway, it's a nice writeup, thanks. |
Nice one OP but is getting a boyfriend/girlfriend really a Christian solution to masturbation? What will they do? Help the individual with sexual relief? I'm not an advocate of masturbation but it's really confusing when religious people prescribe getting a boyfriend/girlfriend as a way of tackling the habit. I mean, the suggestion is not necessarily bad but if you're going to use it, there's probably no need mentioning God in the entire writeup. We can't be using religion to select sins that appeal to us. Nice one. |
Juliusmomoh:Let's not get overly religious over things that require practical steps. That he's on NL doesn't mean he's not praying, they are not mutually exclusive. Some people perform better when they feel accountable. This is a proven strategy used by therapists. By sharing this here, he somehow gets himself to be accountable to anyone following his thread and the thought of reporting progress here and possibly getting encouraged would serve as a reward (somewhat countering the pleasure reward offered by masturbation). The action-reward cycle that leads to addiction is exactly what is employed to get rid of it. OP, good luck and better don't come back here with "sorry guys, I failed" cause I'll personally kick your as.s! |
yuswrld20:Tell me more about this. |
pocohantas:Wow!!! I love this! Lol |
Wow... I like how these guys go extra lengths to refine their knowledge about nature |
iTearHerToto:If you read my post (or any of my posts), you'd know I don't engage people like you in any form of conversation. Lack of civility irritates me. Enjoy yourself. |
Cydsessions7:I've seen someone who wanted to kill themselves cause of minor things like failing an exam and Nigerians on SN rained insults on them for being so weak minded and even called out their parents for bringing up such a spoilt child. However, the fact that someone decides to take his life cause of such a minor thing only suggests that such a person already has a high suicide tendency which could be as a result of many factors. The exam was just a trigger and anything else could also trigger it. Such a person needs help and not insults. Nigerians are always quick to remind you that your problem is too little but they fail to realize that mental health has little to do with the immediate problem (this is just a trigger) but the state of mind of the individual. We take pride in being harsh. |
Until you learn to treat people individually based on their personalities and not collectively based on their gender, you might just keep running in circles. If you meet your girl somewhere in the world and decide not to treat her nicely because some girl on social media who is "one of them" has said so, you'll have yourself to hold responsible for whatever turn your relationship takes. You are celebrating this post cause it is from one of them but the numerous posts from many of them that say you should treat them nicely are forgotten. Fact is, you only picked this cause it appeals to your already structured line of thought. If you're not nice, you're not. If you're nice, you won't think about it before being nice to your lover. If your being nice sends her away, thank your stars and look for someone receptive of your nice nature. And if you're not nice, someone who likes un-nice guys will gladly take you. Just don't claim you're doing it for the ladies, you are who you are. |
Because Nigerians blame people for having mental health challenges. Even if you kill yourself, they'd still curse your dead body. |
The fact that you have blamed everyone but yourself for your own mistakes simply shows nothing has changed. |
I'm only interested in the secret of her agelessness |
Beverlyjean: ![]() Laugh wan kill me! |
Icelandicboy:The guy you quoted meant "non venomous". He has edited his post. Now you're on your own. ![]() |
DuBLINGreenb:Bro, this hate speech is not necessary even as a joke. You could have ignored the thread if you didn't feel like wishing her a happy birthday. Mocking her and her baby for the shape of their noses is not different from those who mock us for the colour of our skin. The baby most certainly doesn't deserve that. |
What have you all been doing to save your kids and yourself from the dirty music videos/lyrics of Nigerian and foreign artists alike? How many times do the so-called dirty things (splash of breast or under the sheet movement) occur in the entire show? |
Do you realize there's no verb in your title? |
Bloggers nawa o. The poor guy needs help and someone in the comfort of his house is cooking up stories for him instead. |
Blabbermouth:A new set. This one is actually vague and would lead to a lot of questions, I'm sorry. The distinction between "plan" and "want" in this particular context appears like an effort to push this supreme being as infallible against all odds cause I was meant to understand that whenever he wants something, he gets it. But then I'm sure I'm the one not getting it. So to clarify, are you saying that sometimes he wants some things but doesn't really plan for them and as a result, he doesn't get them (since only what he plans for is sure to happen)? If he really wants those things why doesn't he plan for them to happen? He just 'wants' some while he 'plans' for others. And which one is his "will", the plan or the want? |
Blabbermouth:Thank you. I'll work with this. You've given two cases in which things might not go as planned: 1) Senerio One is if I have no total control; as a man, I have no total control so things may not go as I have planned. That's clear. But a supernatural being, he's got total control so this case doesn't affect him. 2) Scenerio Two is if I allowed the thing I created to orchestrate; as a supreme being, he has total control but sadly, he's a victim of this case two (he permitted man to orchestrate things) and as a result, things may also not go as he planned (which was the case with Adam). Notice that I only elaborated on the premise you built yourself. This is because whether it's case one or case two above does not really matter, what matters is that there's a case/scenario in which things might not go as he planned and you have succeeded in pointing out that case yourself. And that clearly answers my question. However, I'll be excited to see if there's another twist. Meanwhile, using the analogy of a father allowing a kid to hurt a little in order to teach him a lesson to describe what happens between the supreme being and man is actually very reductive and makes a mockery of the 'reality' but it's fine. |
Blabbermouth:I actually knew you would say this and that is why I stated in my response that your analogy should assume no difference between the supreme being and man in that context. Otherwise, there was nothing practical about the question anymore because regardless of my response, you'd still use the infallibility of the supreme being as a soft landing. But it's fine. I will work with that. I assume he created the earth with the will of having a happy environment (this equivalent to the plan of switching off the phone in your analogy) and like you said, he is very much in total control of his plans so how come man sinned (something happened to the phone) and the whole plan went downhill (the phone refused to go off)? Did he lose control at some point? Please, I'm only respectfully picking on your knowledge so you don't have to come up with any convenient theory just to sell the supreme being, as understood by man, as all mighty. I know no one knows it all. |
tatatar:Just curious, have those gays turned straight now? |
