osamz007:Do you need to be with your phone to get an sms? Does the phone even need to be on for an sms to arrive? |
ajbf:Text messages are stored and can be read at any time. The woman didn't say it's too late but could have come earlier. It's death we're talking about. |
ajbf:When you lose a loved one, you're advised not to pick calls for a few days. That aside, let's say that for whatever reason, a bereaved person doesn't pick your call, do you need an oracle to tell you what next to do? We all know how how this plays out. Protocol or not, anything worth doing is worth doing well. If you want to reach out, do it properly, otherwise, don't bother |
ajbf:Coming there was a good thing. But you, my dear friend, wouldn't wait till the day you'd come to express condolences, would you? Like I said earlier they have issues but that doesn't make her discontent illogical. What I see here is woman who doesn't want to play the usual political mind games. |
ajbf:The person with the phone might have been told not to pick up unsaved numbers. For goodness sake, a lot of things might have transpired. The ideal was for the DG to send a text if he really cared to reach out. When you call a bereaved friend and she doesn't pick up for any reason, the common thing to do is to send an SMS. That's common sense. Formal or informal manner, her outburst reflected the state of her heart. What you call formal manner was just a face value discussion that does not go beyond the mouth. |
ajbf:Like I said earlier, she said he should have sent a message because insisting he didn't call would be tantamount to calling him a leit and that would have been disrespectful. If you call a morning friend and she doesn't pick what do you do? I'm not saying there was no beef between the DG and her husband but if the man didn't properly reach out to her just because of the beef with the husband, let him stop pretending to care now. It's obvious the woman is not in for fake smiles. And please, we're not fighting. It's just a discussion. |
ajbf:The only take away from that was that she didn't pick any call from the deputy. If she had insisted the deputy didn't call, it would have been meant she was calling him a liar and that would have been extremely disrespectful. An sms is not hard to type. How many morning windows pick calls a few days after they lost their husbands? Bro, a simple sms would have done just fine. |
osamz007:She would expect and pick multiple calls from saved contacts. Bereaved or not, there's no way she'll open herself up to strange numbers, bros. Besides, like someone already pointedly out, phones are normally taken away from mourning wives. That's the norm in many places. There's nothing that stop the deputy governor from sending an sms. Let's call a spade a spade. |
Mylovelife:She's my serial killer queen!!! |
osamz007:Oga, she's right. In her position, you would know not to pick calls from strange numbers. She's a public figure with enemies, her words could easily be recorded and misconstrued for malicious reasons. No public figure, not even the Pope, would go picking calls from random numbers. A text message would have sufficed. Even if you were fighting with her husband, it's only fair at this time to show a little compassion to the family! |
Gentle0wavez:Dan Brown Mary Higgins Clark Daniel Steel Sidney Sheldon |
sureteeboy:The Duke guy should go and work hard. The DJ's handle is verified for a reason! |
Jesusloveyou:I totally understand this. You mustn't necessarily suppose PDP. But you're also not obliged to support someone you've professed to be very corrupt just to spite PDP. If you know someone is corrupt and still support the person, what does that make you? |
Congrats, OP. This child will bring you nothing but joy! I've seen all your threads and I've noticed how you ignore insults from NL boys who type as if they're from broken homes. From all indications, you're indeed a family man. Hope you wake up at night to help with the baby shaa ![]() |
Let us rally for him. Maybe this is our opportunity to tell APC and PDP that our collective voice matters since they've decided to sideline the people. |
Openbusiness:Lol... It's not necessarily an error. NL database has an auto-correct source table of about two columns, one column contains the source word and the other, the target word. Any super admin can update this table from the admin page. The team deliberately recently entered a new row with "dullàrdinho" as the source word and "Buhari" (and later "President Buhari" as the target word. The aim is to counter the rate of insult the president gets on this forum by not allowing people call him a dullard. ![]() |
President Buhari Oh wow! |
Of course, it is. Religion is the believe in a supernatural supreme being. Anyone who says Christianity is not a religion is either uneducated or just proving those that say religion obliterates education right. I think what such people are trying to say is that, unlike some religions, Christianity is not ritualistic or rule based. They argue that all is required of you is to do good and accept Christ as your personal lord and saviour. Well, that's another discussion entirely but saying Christianity is not a religion is simply ridiculous cause even religion itself is a lifestyle. |
DEROX:I don't understand some people in this politics section. By holding onto federal might as a source of hope, you clearly acknowledge the fact that it is not the people's votes that matter but the rigging competence of the backing power. How you don't see the ra.pe of democracy as a major source of concern is mind boggling and the fact that you're even celebrating it is alarming. These guys are indirectly disenfranchising us and the situation is detoriating everyday. |
Jesusloveyou:I'm not very much into politics but I've seen your post categorically stating how corrupt this pastor is and suddenly, you're campaigning for him. It's confusing, why do you let these politicians play you around like this? |
aolawale025:I wish you were right, brother. But just watch and see how people will immediately forget and start following him like sheep. |
olamirewaju6190:I knew people would easily get emotional and deviate from the question. The OP didn't ask which one would win in a fight. The OP asked which would be a better security dog. And rott is definitely better as it's far more territorial than a pitbull. Rotts are guard dogs. About fighting: People will come here to defend either their preferd dog, the one they have or the one they've seen in action. It's possible to see a pitbull win in a fight, it's also possible to see a rott win. But generally, rotts are bigger dogs and so they have the size advantage while pitbulls have much better agility. |
JOACHINpedro:Lol... this one doesn't know anything about birds. |
Hahaha... the amount of energy guys on NL spend on girls matter is mind blowing. Years back, girls used to gather to discuss men. Now, the reverse is the case. Every minute, someone somewyere is creating a thread on women. Nawa o. OP, god revealed to you how to get a woman? Nice. |
rawpadgin:He needed to start from somewhere. You don't know his competence more than himself. All this while he was supposedly idle, no one remembered that our all time greatest goal tender was idle. Now he's making a move, you're saying it's not enough. He was our best but at the global stage, the competition is stiff. The most important thing is that he's moving forward. |
rawpadgin:Ok. Does that also count as a coaching experience? |
This is nostalgic. Good old days of "who wore it better?". ![]() People will not complain now cause they are not ladies or celebs from the entertainment industry. Lol. Awon hypocrites. ![]() |
rawpadgin:Did his badges when, where? When last did you hear of him? His experience is in goalkeeping and not coaching. He needs something to make reference to in order to attain his dream position. There are many ex players and keepers of his era that would be glad to be in that position. |
TheMainone:Are you saying Buhari should learn web development? ![]() |
rawpadgin:Dude, the guy is obviously building a profile. |
jawalis:You are a wicked person. Very wicked. Keep inflicting terror on fellow humans but know that nemesis will sure catch up with your and your kinds some day. |

. OP dem suppose to pay you N50m for discovering this error, or else you report them to Buhari
as the target word. The aim is to counter the rate of insult the president gets on this forum by not allowing people call him a dullard.
