This is probably a tribute to Ifeanyi. |
jeromestarks:Stop! Stop sexualizing women. Stop behaving like a dog on the internet. You guys are so embarrassing on this platform. |
I like this report. The person that wrote it thought deeply about the audience. They were able to carry non experts along without necessarily making it too basic for the experts. However, I hope when the investigations are over, they'd also tell us the origin of the vessel. Is it owned by some independent oil thief or is it a part of an organized syndicate/mafia? |
Osewa03:Can you just stop? You created a thread about the situation of things in Nigeria. I'd like to think that calls for a serious discussion, but you're here talking dirty. You guys should learn to allow women contribute to conversations without sexualizing them. Whatever you can't say to people in person, don't type it on the internet. |
Ballzproblem2:Must you guys always sexualize everything? |
Urheadmaster:He cannot turn a ganja queen into a prophetess? That would make him an author of confusion? So those prostitute and killer he turned into followers/preachers in the Bible made him what? |
HolyMan12:Must you guys always go dirty on everything? |
Finally, good news from this OP. |
Go wherever fits your lifestyle/skill set. If you'd make more money in the UK, don't let flimsy reasons keep you back. |
$40,000? I don't understand. Just $40k? Why would anyone leave the country for an amount that could make in few months? |

TakeNigeriaBack:You don't know what a database is. You don't send "database" on Nairaland. And no, redaction doesn't make it safe to let anyone see your data dictionary/schema. I'm not even going to have that discussion with you cause I figured was just your last resort to save face. Now, it's the authenticity of the letter. Anyway, I've said what I wanted to say to you. And I'm not going to degenerate to the name calling level with you cause that what y'all do when you don't have any other thing. You believe whatever you want to believe. Just think deeper before commenting next time. I'm done with you. |
TakeNigeriaBack:Can I provide you a sample of Deloitte's database?! I should provide you a sample of Deloitte USA database? Bro, did you really think this request through before making it? In what format, please? .bac or xml? I wouldn't want to be caught sounding condescending, so let me assume this is not your field and that's why you boldly made such a request. Databases are not just files you print out and share. And even if it was, how do you think anyone would ever share the DB schema of an organization with you? You think data is the only thing we protect in the DB? Sorry, I cannot give you any file. I'm not that eager to prove my credibility Tinubu said he got a direct offer (not third-party as you posited) from Deloitte. This means he was a direct employee. The management of Deloitte said they don't know him. If you don't believe the management, there is no way you'd believe me, a faceless user on Nairaland. So I didn't start this chat because I wanted you to believe he didn't work with Deloitte. You'll always believe what you want to believe anyway. Like I said, I quoted you cause of the way you abused a whole ethnicity even when you were saying something incorrect yourself. |
TakeNigeriaBack:Deloitte's SOP's from the days of Deloitte Haskin And Sells are all documented and when any business process or a policy changes, the documents are updated, a new record is added on the document history showing the date of modification, the nature of the modification, who did the modification and who reviewed/approved the modification. So any HR/IT employee that starts working in Deloitte US today can easily tell how things have progressed over the years. And there was never a time Deloitte would EVER on-board a project member or share any information with a third party employee without recording a substantial amount of information about the individual. Deloitte's HR policies in each country are in alignment with the local labor policies of the country. According to the United States Department of Labor, the employer is responsible for recording injuries and illnesses that occur at work even for third party employees. If you knew the way databases work, you'd know there's no way to record illness lines if there's no parent master data. You've moved from "they don't keep records of contractors" to "it depends on the organization" to "it's about the time". It's very clear you care more defending Tinubu than actually appreciating facts, and you'd say anything to defend him. However, his own words dismantle your defense strategy. Read the text in the image below. He said the offer was made to him directly.

TakeNigeriaBack:I wasn't speculating. I wasn't guessing. I know the nature of the company in question, and I know that Deloitte has the record of every single person that has worked there as a consultant regardless of the employment type. There's no contract that would ever deny Deloitte the right to do that because there is practically no way such a person can complete the project on-boarding process without it. Working for an organization that once did some job for Deloitte does not mean you consulted for Deloitte except you were actually part of the team that did the Deloitte job. And before Deloitte would on-board you, there's a due process. Not only will they maintain your record in the database, you'll also complete a compulsory compliance and security self-study training. So if you understood how things work in Deloitte, you'd have known your comment I quoted was totally wrong. I'm not here to prove or disprove Tinubu's guilt. I just chipped in my correction, so that next time you go abusing people and calling them dull, you should make sure you really know what you're saying yourself. |
TakeNigeriaBack:Just a little correction, all contractors' names are in Delloit's database with employment type "contract". Thier start and end dates are recorded as well the names of the parent organizations (if they're not independent contractors). That's the only way the HR and IT teams are able to give them thier ID cards and provide them access to the building/IT systems. In the US, the contractors are sometimes also asked to undergo the government secret clearance process before joining some project teams. Direct employee or not, they have the records of everyone that has ever worked in the organization. It is Delloit we're talking about not some mushroom business in Oshodi. Not even in your wildest imagination should you ever imagine that such an organization that deal on extremely sensitive data would not the record of a past employee on the basis of "he was not a direct employee". Only someone who hasn't worked with the big 4 or any other multinational organization would think that way. |
You said it's a "new town". And yet you say first time ever implying they've living without electricity for ages. |
highchief1:Do you guys even read the things you type. How can you be so gutter mouthed and empty headed that you can't engage people's points without attacking them personally? |
All these "a private" news though. No names or addresses? |
He decided to reassure her that with or without a child, she's the one. |
When you give someone a gift, whatever you gave to them becomes theirs to use however they like. You don't gift people and start monitoring how they use it except your plan is to use the gift to pin down thier loyalty and, therefore, you need the item to be there to constantly remind them they owe you. The essence of gifts is to bring pleasure physically, emotionally or otherwise. And since we don't usually first ask people what they want, we should at least, leave them to convert the gift to whatever they want. That way, they'd appreciate it even more. Besides, you don't expect a man who has other priorities to be driving a car, fueling it and paying the insurance. Or would you rather your gift became a burden instead of a source of pleasure? |
Oh... dear. We've been waiting for the pictures for ages. I just want to know, is it classic lasagna or lasagna bolognese? |
greenermodels:No doubt sanctions affect both parties. After all, it's business, and when there's no business, vendors and clients suffer. Vendors typically look for other clients, while clients typically look for other vendors. The power of sanction is only attained when there's a solidarity on one side. That is, either a group of clients collectively agreeing to reject one vendor or a group of vendors collectively agreeing to reject one client such that this rejected party cannot easily find alternatives. Though this comes with sacrifices, the more parties in the solidarity and the more they're able to satisfy each other's needs, the more powerful the sanction is. Russia was sanctioned by thier major business partners, but they still have some other partners to keep them going even if it's painstakingly. The West is also having a hard time satisfying one another. These two facts weakens the sanctions, and it became a game of waiting to see who yields first. |
greenermodels:OP said all sanctions. Netherlands gave some waivers to allow some crucial businesses, schools and humanitarian activities to continue. In other words, they made some exceptions here and there. Still waiting for OP's reliable source. |
Which types should they engage in? |
Those saying abroad based people are stingy will do worse when they start paying mortgage. |
You guys call out ladies for everything. If one lady does something, you find a way to rope in the entire gender. This woman wanted to kneel down, and so what? Does that mean women should now be kneeling for men like slaves? I still do not understand the burning desire for women to lay themselves on the floor like mats. Some of you complain that Nigerian girls are this and that, and I wonder, do you guys even know how you compare with foreign men? Your ego is extremely big and yet so fragile. |
There's a difference between "Crypto Is Not Just For Me" and "Crypto Is Just Not For Me". The first one means crypto is not for you alone, while the second one means crypto is simply not for you. |
How will this affect annual increment at work? Since it's controlled by inflation rate, will employers now do 0% increment? |
