I get you, but he didn't mention he saw the blue ticks. Besides, like I said, she could also be pranking him by putting on the incognito mode before viewing and commenting on the status and then putting it off immediately afterwards. This way, he'd still see the blue ticks when he replies.

I'm not saying that is what happened, I'm saying it's a possibility.

Again, to each thier own. Not everyone (regardless of gender) would want that kind of family system. Moreover, this lady had the resources to achieve that if that's what she wanted too. So it's either they both wanted to get married, or one of them did, and the other party is obliged to tag along.

So yeah, the man could have achieved that but maybe not with this particular lady. And seeing that this is the woman he wants to be the mother of his unborn children, that option is off the table for him. This also goes for the lady. It takes two to tango.

What is it about then? Do you think teenagers don't get married or in marriages already? why LABEL people teenagers in the first place? even though you frown at GENDER dichotomy as you put it.

Just remember to say SOME women just like you gave the men the courtesy of saying some men. That's all. These women you speak don't just run around to make things perfect on thier wedding day, they also do it on children's birthday celebrations, on thier wedding anniversaries, on thier child naming ceremonies, etc. It is naturally part of them to make sure food, decorations, etc are perfect whenever they're celebrating anything. On the other hand, they're women who would rather wed on a weekday and invite few guests. They are women satisfied with just court marriage. To each their own.

Asking why teenagers are labeled teenagers is like asking why octogenarians are called octogenarians or why elderly people are called elderly people. Again, I didn't say teenagers don't get married. I said gender dichotomy is something you should have outgrown after your teenage age.

You don't owe them a congratulatory message, but you owe them a reminder that one of a woman's greatest trophies is marriage, right? And when you're reminded that that same marriage is also one of men's greatest fulfillment, it then occurred to you to use the word "some" and that his reasons for getting married is unknown to you. However, the lady's reasons for getting married is very known to you. Smart pants.

Don't even try to make this about teenagers and thier intelligence or lack of thereof. I never criticized nor applauded them.

Having a family of his own is also most men's dream. Simply say congratulations and move on. All this gender dichotomy is for teenagers.

The services sector is getting overwhelmed and the country could start facing all the issues associated with high population density very soon. You guys' default reaction to everything is insult. He clearly said it's a good idea to go if you've got admission to study over there. He only cautioned those moving without any plan or through illegal channels. And he's right. Most of them end up living from hand to mouth out there or even constituting nuisance in the host communities. They waste 10 to 15 years and still return to Nigeria with nothing but hatred for the West.

This loneliness in Canada story is getting stale already. Most immigrants dont even make Canada their final destination anymore!

Where do they make thier final destination? Another western country? Africans are not lonely in Canada because there are no places to visit or nothing to do. They are lonely because of the cultural differences between Africa and the western word. In the West, people stick to thier well established circles created during school days. And considering the extent to which these westerners mind thier business, it's very difficult for one to penetrate these circles. Immigrants, therefore, look to other Immigrants for friendship.

Yes, the UK and some other European countries might have more Immigrants at the moment (and this implies more chances of making friends), but then the recent influx of Immigrants to Canada suggests that the the situation can only get better. Many Africans who graduated from UK universities this year moved to Canada via express entry. Salaries are higher in Canada, more so now that Europe is facing serious economic issues. I know it's not all about money, but that's the main reason most people leave Nigeria anyway.

Therefore, advising someone to leave Canada now for yet another western country because of the so-called loneliness is not a great idea in my opinion. You hear about the loneliness in Canada more often simply because Nigerians just recently made it a major destination, thanks to express entry.

Lol... In Isreal, everyone has to serve in the military at some point. When these students are home, they're obliged to go around with thier weapons not necessarily because they don't feel safe, but because there's a very severe punishment for losing one's weapon (and an even more severe one for using it indiscriminately). That's why you see people with guns in social gatherings (not just girls). Social media users mostly share pictures of the ladies because they find them more fascinating.

When I tell my non Nigerian friends about NYSC, they think it's similar to what is obtainable in Isreal and they start asking if I'm really trained to use guns. cool

Wow... Merely coming to this world cup tournament is already like a win for Canada. Not only have they been to the tournament just once, it was since 1986! The players were not even born then. Lol.. I believe the national football team will get better now that the country is full if immigrants.
