Doublecheck:The Myopic i used there meant nearsightedness. It wasnt meant to insult you. If you feel any story is a lie then share your own. If you claim that no one from another tribe has touched your life positively, then we know who the liar is |
Doublecheck:Well your opinion was based on a myopic outlook...the issue here about my landlord is not the amount or the size of my home. The issue is the level of understanding and patience the man showed us. Ask anyone Ojukwu got back his property in Lagos, Rivers state declared property as "Abandoned". Ikwerre Land owners are very brutal to Igbos but the Yoruba are not so. I am not saying they are perfect, but you cannot tell me that the Hausa and the Yoruba do not have a good side. I appreciate them and i am grateful |
keypad1:Kudos bro, i am really happy for this. Your story is inspiring and i am sure God has blessed your union for our people say if you say "yes" God agrees with you. sometimes we find Love in the most unlikely places |
The truth is that a lot of negative and distorted stories have been flying around. People tend to exaggerate negative events and downplay the good ones. I am in support of Biafra, the thought of a homogeneous nation, a people of similar origin, norm, laws, culture, religion and deposition to life is mouth watering; I don't think anyone will want to pass up such a chance. But lets get one thing straight the Yoruba and Hausa have been kind hosts to the best of their abilities. I am using this opportunity to celebrate the acts of kindness i have received from the various tribes in Nigeria. Not all marriages break up because the husband is evil, sometimes couples have "Irreconcilable differences" and this is the case of Nigeria, we are too different and if nothing is done to address our grievances; then a breakup is inevitable. I know for a fact that many of our Igbo heroes in the past in one time or another received a lot of help, training from other tribes in Nigeria. Ojukwu went to Kings college Lagos, Nnamdi Azikiwe's mentor Herbert Macaulay is a Yoruba man just to name a few. If you run a check into the lives of many Igbo people you will find out that some defining moments that shaped them to be better people were done by men/women from other tribes. I will go ahead and give some true scenarios where other tribes have really affected my life positively and i will relay my gratitude. My aim is to be at peace with them, even if i leave we are still friends and if i stay i want them to know that i appreciate them a lot. The Yoruba have been wonderful hosts i wont lie, a Yoruba man named Hakeem Ishola taught me how to drive. He was my mothers mechanic and i was quite young, he showed me the ropes on how to use the wheel and i am grateful to him I attended a secondary school in Yoruba land named Kings college Lagos and my housemaster Mr Oguniyi was a kind and considerate man, who tried his best to raise gentlemen that will build a better society. When i went for post ume at ABU Zaria a Hausa man named Bisan took me into his home not minding who i was. He showed me "Mi casa su casa" i will never forget his kindness for the cold weather of Kaduna can be unforgiving. Now that i am working of my 6 biggest clients 4 of them are Yorubas, this is understandable as i work in Lagos; but i am still grateful to them for they could have called any other firm but they chose us regardless of our tribe. My Landlord a Yoruba man was the most considerate man i ever knew, he never pressured my parents for rent and he took whatever they offered him. Though i was young then i did not understand but now i am a man i see that he is an angel, real men here know that an understanding Landlord that will even accept 10,000 when u tell him your condition is a saint. I am really grateful The Yoruba nation taught me how to party like a rock-star, they taught me their language and they showed me that Life is only lived once and that philosophy calms me down when life gets taut. You have to give it to the Yoruba nation no one does parties like them and telling me that i have to take visa to do "Mo gbo mo ya" is like punishing me. The Hausa nation is responsible for my salad and fruits, i know how their tomatoes, yam, carrots, onions, fura, kunu, burukutu, buruntashi has saved me on many occasions. Abokina nagode plenty albarika to you. Yes i do name checking cus it is funny to me but i will not join the bandwagon of war mongers or hate message spreaders. I will not deny that the Yorubas have been fantastic hosts. After the june 12 elections when Igbos ran out of Lagos, the Yorubas did not convert our property, they told us to come back and even Ojukwu got back his houses in Lagos. Rivers state our neighbor there were not as kind, that shows that sometimes relationship is not by physical proximity. I appreciate the Yorubas and i appreciate the Hausas, i call on other Nairalanders to share kind experiences they have had with people from other tribes. Enough of the hate, even if we are to break up it must not get ugly. |
When i saw NBM i thought it was Neo-Black Movement. well wayasay? |
chuksanambra:If you are not Maupe then how do u know that poster is an imposter? He might be maupe ooo dont judge HIM until u are very sure HE is not maupe of channels TV |
It is very funny to me when i hear that yorubas were in the forefront in the fight for democracy when i know the biggest party in west africa i.e the PDP was formed by an Igbo man. Making noise and writing articles is not fighting, it is called air pollution. the true warriors formed a political party even under abacha and they pushed for democracy, abeg make una let us hear word |
i heard the guy that was killed is an Afonja, named Ayo joshua. I have a funny feeling that this ultimatum in the North will not affect only Igbos. When the killings start ( and it will) some people will be collateral damage ooo |
Have you every heard the term "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". The desert town of Nevada has been turned to one of the worlds greatest tourist attraction site and it generates Billions of dollars. If i remember Floyd Mayweather and Manny fought their multi million dollar fight at Vegas. It is quite clear that Nigeria is heading towards the path of restructuring; Very soon each region will have to dig deep, use what they have to sustain its people. Yes i know Imo state has little oil, and some fertile land but no one can contest that Imo state has the best nightlife in Nigeria. No state can boast of as many hotels ( which are always fully booked), No state can boast of a higher number of beautiful women, and finally the cousine... Only Akwa ibom and Calabar can step up and challenge Imo when it comes to the Kitchen prowess. Not everyone is meant to farm, oil is good but imo cannot boast of the kind of of oil Rivers state or Delta state has. It is only a hypocrite and a fool that will hail Las Vegas but condemn Imo state when a body came out to sanitize prostitution over there. At Vegas gambling is legal, some drugs are allowed, Prostitution nko? that one na Kasaaa I have always seen Owerri as the Las vegas of Nigeria. people come from far and wide to blow their money fast in owerri (sheby naa there person use 7 million buy drink), the ladies are beautiful and they will ride you for your chucky cheese, the road network is fantastic and this makes driving at night fun and safe.. Imo state government should start thinking of replicating a full Vegas over there....Make gambling legal, Bet9ja, 1960 bet, Dog race etc has proven to me that Nigerians both christian, muslim or atheist love to gamble. Legalize and protect prostitution, register these ladies and sanitize the industry...we all know that women run the world, where the women go surely the men and the cash will follow, even Imo state should set up their porn industry. The porn industry is a multi billion dollar industry, even King Tblac hoc and Afro candy makes more money than many people here, so judge them at your peril. Imo state should make marriages very easy, just as Americans get easily wedded at Vegas (especially when drunk) this should be repeated here too I know many people will be irrationally judgmental of this post, but let us keep sentiments aside if there is any state that can reach Las vegas here in Nigeria it is Imo. Many Nigerians secretly crave this things but we come out to form "Saints" its high time we faced the truth " Man must Dobo" When restructuring happens and it will, Lagos and Ogun will have industry, Rivers, Delta, Akwa ibom will have oil and gas, Anambra, Abia will have trade, Kano, Jos, Niger, Kebbi, Benue, Ebonyi will have agriculture....Imo has to find a niche for itself, i want a future where Nigerians will say "What happens at Owerri, stays in Owerri" |
hannne:Please forward me your mail lets communicate further, abeg -Maybach $$ |
Afonja professor, i mean what else can we expect from the sophisticated ones |
gberra:Why are you so angry?, bro u need help |
Women can be very irritating. Once you are kind and passionate to them they start to think up ways to deceive and outsmart you. I remember a lady i wanted to help her pay for her hair dressing apprenticeship; collected list and was ready to pay only for me to find out that she stored my number as "Oponu" i think Oponu is an insult in yoruba or so meaning dunce. I am not too sure but that is what i think it means, some ladies dont deserve any good thing, best to to leave them to God that sees the heart. The guy should do thanksgiving oo, he dodged an atomic bomb |
nurex01:Bros hope you know the power to restructure the country starts with the senate. Saraki can call for the confab report, and with the help of the judiciary it can be passed to law. We have to practice true federalism and encourage regional competition. this will boost Nigeria's economy |
Saraki fails to see that a bigger issue is at hand, we have to restructure this country or else there will be no country to build. |
Well this is an Afonja issue, i have no say...maybe the person at ojuelegba will say something |
Trust Nigerians to look at this from a tribal point. Even if Ubah is guilty i dont think DSS should arrest him. The man posses no flight risk, this is a purely business matter and it is no threat to National security. What is the business of DSS in fuel and Kerosene matter? This country is just a mess, and one would wonder why some people want to leave this contraption called Niger Area |
Tinubu is a funny man, who will resist a coup de tat...When they were sharing money did they see me there The military can take over, i dont care; The Nigerian dream is dead anyway. If Jagaban thinks 1000 naira will push people to protest against coup as it pushed some women to do "Bring Back our Girls" then he is joking. Military go open fire and i am not dying for a democracy that has failed us |
To all those people accusing the OP of giving because he wants to get back i say Una Dey ****** Relationship is a two way street, it shouldnt be about one party taking, taking, taking and the other giving, giving, giving...haba is the guy a donkey? Many Nigerian Ladies are disgusting, the stinginess is so bad that they will load 1000 naira on their Phone but still flash you so you will call back. Their idea of gift to their bobo is singlet, Handkerchief and boxers...As atilogwu dancers wey we be na. I blame our men a lot on this issue, Nigerian women have copied 60% of western dating ethics but they smartly left out the giving part....they prefer expensive dinners to normal eateries, they refuse to be humble and submissive, they are very opinionated and dont give way when they make their decisions. Now the men on the other hand are still in the stone age, we have not moved with them and we are loosing badly. A case study of a guy that has placed his girl on monthly allowance and he still gives out money for hair, nails etc; But on her own side she will never keep to her word, breaking promises without any remorse. To come over na wahala;yet when she comes over she will not lift a finger to help out with house chores...even if she manages to cook na Indomie or Tea. The Era that girlfriends will prepare stew and soup and keep for boo in the refrigerator is fading fast. If you complain dem go say u never marry am u wan dey use am roughly. The idea of going "Dutch" on a date is an abomination to them, but we have no choice na the situation we find ourselves. A man can only bid his time and save his money, Adams Oshomole has taught me a great lesson; best thing is to cap it Foreign |
I dont know why this happens to me...Every time i hear news about beauty queens the first thing that comes to mind is LA CUCUMBER!! |
UDIOK: UDIOK: UDIOK:Fashola has failed in Power generation, distribution and he has also failed in Housing. I am yet to score him on works With all his chest beating that Power generation is a 6 months job, two years down the line and we are hearing stories. Unfortunately for Raji there are no chibok girls in Nepa or Missing monies he can use to distract attention from the fact that his performance has been the worst thing to happen to the country. Afonjas defend your brother with your generator charged phones and laptops. Mtcheew |

It is only an idiot that will say Igbos are hostile to visitors....We have "Ama Hausa" in douglas imo state dominated by Hausas. The trado medical field is dominated by Yorubas due to their wide knowledge of herbs and of course their fetish nature. It has never been recorded that irate youth attacked any foreign investment in the south east, we know how to settle and iron out issues without acting the fool. |
Mai suya, Mai suya na for Malu body...Nobody dey use better eye sell old property Unless na people wey dey do buy and sell anyhow i go wait till Psquare wan sell their banana island house na then i go cash in |
Omo this statement from Fashola deserves a great "Welldone sah" from Fallz In order to score cheap political points Fashola has chosen to be Economical with the truth, I refuse to believe that Fashola does not know the difference between Govt project, Job creation, Youth engagement and Youth Empowerment. What his ministry has done is just Govt projects...Though this could lead to youth engagement but it can never lead to Empowerment because after the road/ airport is completed it is to your tent o isreal. I know how these construction companies work, they get their payments from government very late and in order to save the govts face they have to keep working even though they havent been paid...so majority of the manpower used are under very bad contracts which are nothing to write home about. In the facet of youth empowerment this APC govt is scoring 33% which is an F. The npower scheme is so poorly implemented; They promised laptops and tablets but 6 months into the program these devices havent been given out, the youths are not trained and retrained it seems they have been abandoned. The ministry of finance and CBN are not in sync that is why one is talking expansion the other is increasing lending rate and playing politics with FOREX. Until the APC govt starts to look into indices like human capital development, multiplier effect projects, funding for SME and also fight the current brain drain i.e the mass movement of our professionals abroad for greener pastures; then can we say they mean business Well it is not easy sha i wish them the best |
Another huge lie is when a nigerian mum tells you "come here, i wont beat you" after you have done smething bad |
The level of hypocrisy on social media stinks to high heavens, some of the ladies supporting the girl do worse things to win a man's heart. To the Op you need counseling, the guy really needed to let you In..In as in into his heart, home and life but you messed up with a capital "M" Let me educate you guys that are well to do have something to loose, they dont eat anything a lady brings to them, i for one dont let female visitors cook for me, we all know ladies can be dangerous...When a man loves a woman she becomes his mother, and last i checked a mother feeds her son and not Tasty fried chicken. Well i agree from the picture you posted you are still young, time dey your side..and to all those shouting on the first date, if he had given her money will she refuse it because na first date? No woman has ever turned back money to me and told me "Eh this is our first meeting i cannot accept your money" but when other matters arise i hear that "First Date" balderdash..Abeg make una park well |
To the yoruba peeps in the house, is it true that if a guy sleeps with a twin snakes will be visiting his house abeg make person explain that issue to me mbok |
From the way APC keeps blaming Jonathan for their inadequacies, inefficiency and ineffectiveness; i am beginning to have second thoughts about the Devil. Man has systematically and stylishly passed down the blame of all his woes and weakness to the Devil and since the latter cannot defend himself, all the accusation sticks. APC has successfully equated Jonathan to Lucifer and what what was Jonathan's mistake?, He lost an election!! 2 years down the line APC makes most use of the slightest opportunity to drag Jonathan's name on every available mud they can find. Well if men were God Jonathan is going to hell no doubt, but hey we aren't. I know one day Lucifer will say his part, for i only heard one side of the story....Goodluck Nigeria |
i Remember when a snake came to my house, i was scared shittless. God knows if i had money i would have parked out the next day, i Hate snakes I repeat i Hate snakes |
Mine is "Whatever you know you wont eat, dont rub it on your nose" And the second one is Consistency pays, for a jack of all trade is master of none Then for ladies the best advice i got is "Make a girl feel intimidated, then you have a shortcut to her Kitty" |
This case is the major reason i hate teaching...Poor salary coupled with lots and lots of stress. Some children are gifts of God with Devilish casing, wahlahi when i tried teaching one little boy frustrated me so tey i hit my head on the wall. During our time those Ghanian teachers will call u names like "Basia" "Paaaa" etc and i turned out okay. Shout out to the teachers in private schools una dey try |
