Juliearth:Allow me to differ! Displaying toxicity to test a candidate's patience? C'mon! That interviewer displayed pure nonsense. Very unprofessional behaviour. An interview generally serves two purposes for both the interviewer and the candidate; 1. Is the candidate a right fit for the organisation? 2. Is the organisation a right fit for the candidate? 1. As an organisation you want to know what skills the candidate has that are relevant to the post. Do they have the relevant experience? If not, do they have transferable skills from their previous work experience? Are their salary and benefits expectations within your budget? What is their approach to tasks? Do they have a clue about what is required of them? Have they done their research about the organisation? Can they explain the gaps in their CVs? Are they switching careers? Are they switching industries/sectors? If so, try and find out why? Do they respect people's time (punctuality)? How do they communicate -- how do they pass across their points? Do they come across as abrasive? Unsure? Timid? Blunt? Diplomatic? Shallow? Intelligent? Level-headed? Are they the think-then-respond type? You also want to know what drives them? What motivates them?.....etc. 2. As a candidate you also want to get more than just a glimpse of your potential job and employer. Are you being interviewed for a new position? Is it a replacement? What is typical day like in that role? Is it an ambiguous role? Do they value people's time and money? Do they conduct themselves professionally, or do they conduct their affairs like agberos? Are they casual? What is their tone like? Do they weaponize fear? Do they display "muscles" during interviews? if yes, fear is probably a tool used to drive their organisation. What are their working hours? What are their working styles?.... I could go on and on. Any employer who uses bad behaviour to "test patience" needs to review their HR policies. I'm glad she turned them down. If someone shows you who they are, believe them. I am an example of somebody who walked out of a toxic work environment. Yes. I resigned. Let those who get turned on by toxic people seek them out. I have also turned down a job offer because they were dishonest about their renumeration. They displayed a particular juicy figure in their call for applications, only to turn around and tell me that the salary -- which they themselves announced -- does not fit into their budget. Those 1969 interview tactics administered by semi-illiterate village champions need to be completely eradicated from the face of the Earth (along with those long, fake fingernails that resemble miniature swords). |
Klass99:Let them keep deceiving themselves that they're not emotional. 🤣🤣🤣 |
BiGVEEN58:You don't get it. |
Pussykills:What do you need LOVE and FEELINGS for? LOGIC is all you need.

MadarasBlade:I don't see the relevance of your post to my submission. The dude I was responding to claimed that women are selfish and I was only clarifying to him that selfishness is a human trait, and not necessarily specific to women. To respond to your query, I guess the women get angry when men cheat for the same reason men get furious at paternity fraud. |
Creamypie:Human beings (in general) naturally pursue what benefits them, yourself included. |
In my culture the bride's family will shoulder that responsibility. |
BRATISLAVA:🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
folake4u:He also went through a lot I want to believe. E no easy to dey walk around as a man knowing you can't satisfy woman. It happened a long time ago though. I'm in another stage of my life. |
folake4u:Seemed like performance anxiety at first but when things got worse I knew it was time to end it quickly. I would always wonder why the man was so insecure. He never wanted to even see male acquaintances around me. He also wanted to "befriend" my small clique of friends so he could monitor me through them. I later came to understand the source of his insecurities. ![]() |
ednut1:So this is no longer a secret? ![]()
|
folake4u:It was terrible. |
folake4u:Erectile dysfunction. |
If I'm to be really honest about what killed my feelings for an ex I'll appear petty, as it was something beyond his control. ![]()

KnowledgePower7:May you heal from your hurts. |
godwon01:Nothing about him indicates a "proper" African man. ![]() |

Married boyfriend must exercise his polygamous by nature rights nau. ![]() |
Klass99:He's Nigerian. Oh yes! Yvonne too made to the finals. ![]() |
Klass99:Kanaga and Ebubu made it to the finals. |
lavylilly:Married men and women rarely seek each other out for financial benefits. A former married colleague once told me that he usually prefers to have illicit affairs with married women because they have realistic expectations, unlike single girls who will start pestering the man to divorce his wife or pressurise him into marriage with that "our culture allows polygamy" nonsense. And since logic dictates that he must be polygamous by nature, guess who he'll hit on? Another man's wife. ![]() |
lavylilly:And these men are just too helpless to reject the advances of these married women. Yes? |
JBoss25:BRATISLAVA, may I have your attention please? ![]() |
GloriousGbola:It angers me that I've been fooled 3 times today! Seun was the third person to fool me. ![]() |
Seun:

Come on Oluwaseun Osewa! ![]() |
Successfulben:I can assure you you're not. Nonetheless, being mature in age doesn't mean that you'll always be right. |
Nothing makes me angrier than filthy toilet and bathroom habits. I like to see clear water and a sparkling white toilet bowl before I use a toilet and I must leave it that way! How does one "forget" to flush the toilet? I don't know which one is worse -- not flushing the toilet or announcing her lack of proper toilet etiquette to the world. |
