Good day my fellow Nairalanders, I have a very serious problem which I so much believe that with your kind and generous advice, I might take the right step. I met this girl around April 2012 at my work place and since then we have been together after I proposed to her last year. The fact is I love her so much and I thought she also loves me.

I went down with her to her village around April 2014 to see her parents formally and they were so happy, her mum, dad, grand parents and even her siblings welcomed me wholeheartedly and I was so happy. I stayed with them for two weeks just to see if I can picture out any bad behavior but seriously, non was found.

The problem am having with her is that she has too much male friends and most of them are always sending her love messages both on 2go and Facebook. I once stumble on her Facebook inbox and I found a chat between her and another guy and he was just thanking her for coming to spend good time with him, bla bla bla and how he enjoyed her. I was so mad because during this period she went to the village alone and promised to return in a week but she didn't until after 3 weeks, this is what she always do, she travels like 4-5 times in a year and never return on time. When she returned, I confronted her and she said she is not the one that did that chat with the guy, I tried asking her who did but she never gave me a good answer.

Later that week, she gave me her phone to help her charge it in a barbing saloon, then a strange number called and I picked, the person hissed and cut the call, he later sent a message saying, "you're picking my wife's call and asking me who it is" I replied him that he should check the number that he might be wrong, he then mentioned her name. I went back home to ask my fiancee who own that number then she said its that guy I saw his chat and I should not worry, she will fix it.

Recently again, she has travelled and up till this moment, she is not back, she promised she won't stay upto 2 weeks but yesterday makes it 5 weeks. That same yesterday, my mum's pastor asked my mum to call me that he has a message for me which I later went, he greeted me and say, while he was praying for me because of my mums request, that he was shown that the lady I am planning of marrying is not mine alone, that if I go ahead to marry her, she will wreck me and leave me, he said she travelled now and I said yes, he said she was seeing someone else in the village, he said if I doubt him, I should go ahead.

It was then my mum now said, my younger sister told her of a dream she had, that I caught my fiancee with another guy and it leads to a fight which the said guy killed me. I myself have had such dreams too. The pastor gave me 3 days fasting and prayer. I am confused, despite all her cunning ways I still love her but what should I do and how do I go about leaving her. I will be 30 by 5th April, am not getting any younger. Please advice.

Pls what does CONMESS 2 translate to in normal grade lvls and I think work is underway to make it CONMESS 3 post NYSC. And d story abt ur aunt is another big lie. Please which lab are you talking about? Who are the personnel in the supposed lab? Except u r talking of a lab that I don't know of oo. But as far as I'm concerned even the CMD cannot open the lab during strike. Let alone fill the place with which stupid lab doctors. Come try am for FMC and see if you won't be lynched. Lab doctors my foot no such thing as that. The Laboratory is now solely for Medical Laboratory Scientist.

I'm a doctor and when I was working in the country there were several johesu strikes and none I repeat none paralysed the work in the hospitals. the house officers were given new responsibilities and even residents from pathology took over the blood bank and things were never better organised so don't kid ur selves. Only doctors can shut down hospitals!

well the answer is before you! you guys will go on strike and life will continue, when you see that the world is not coming down you will take to illegal actions like locking up important access points in the hospitals and denying access to th keys when these don't work you move on to barbarism by attacking doctors ( abeokuta 2013 June, Uniport sept2014 etc) when this also does not work you will start to intimidate pts u all so claim to love!

1.) Other health workers having been skipping gl 10,suddenly doctors began to complain bitterly. They wanted it 2 even if it wasn't in their scheme of service.
2)Mls wanted to establish a post graduate national college, but nma mobilised to the National Assembly to combat it.
3)pharmacist wanted to run a doctotate degree system, but nma vehemently opposed it and fought them, even dragging them to court. You complain that they are only dispensing drugs, but now they want to expand their scope of practice, u r against it. What exactly do you want?
4)JOHESU members wanted to get to the apex of their careers by being directors, as established in their scheme of service. Nma went on strike because of it.
Bottom line is you can take whatever you want, but you have no right to decide what others can or cannot get

Have Doctors not had reasons to seek redress on issues with hospital management on occasions?

For those who may not Understand, let me explain what JOHESU means to you.

The nurses(who spent three years in Nursing school. A few of them got part-time Bsc. )
The ward orderlies(in other words, messangers, secondary school leaving certificate holders)
Admin staff(who literally spend half of the day gossiping at their desks)
Technicians(who fix the bulbs and other hospital property)

but also,
the microbiologists, lab scientists, and the most pathetic of all, pharmacists.


Their agitation is that the Doctors get better paid than them. But, listen again, and think about it. Can all the afore mentioned people be paid the same amount of money?

Interestingly, pharmacists get paid almost as much as the Doctors. But the truth is that Doctors work all day long and as well do calls. whereas they shift their own services and what do Pharmacists do in hospitals? They DISPENSE drugs. Their mates in other countries manufacture drugs for the populace..but they ONLY dispense the drugs a Doctor must have prescribed for a patient. Most of these microbiologists and pharmacists chose medicine as their first choice courses but were given these courses of study. of course, logically there is a difference.

the level of expertise, the amount of mental input and the amount of workload have great effects. How can any of these, educated people not understand and think every managerial problem they have has to be against the Doctors.

Pharmacists forming a union with these other people irks me. they have thrown their profession to the dogs. and no, it is completely absurd for a ward orderly to want the same salary level as a Doctor and for pharmacists and lab workers to join in such ridiculous agitations.

These people are only trying to sabotage tthe Federal Government and should be dealt with accordingly.
