mymadam: That is NOT the issue buddy. Yes, CBN will accept less than 1M, BUT the individual banks determine the minimum they are ready to accept to bid on since their gain is minimal, (0.125% of face value!) to say the least. It has been said that Diamond Bank WILL accept to bid for as low as N100,000 for a customer. We'll soon find out whether that's true! It may be 1M minimum for any other bank. We're only trying to find out which bank is on the masses' side. Finito. Feelamong, where are you nah? This thread needs YOU NOW! Keep on investing folks. God bless Nigeria..
Seriously I doubt if any bank takes a little as N10,000. The documentation cost and the income receivable will not make sence to any bank to accept that!

Even most bankers dont like to do Tbills cos it does not add to their deposit target!

Most banks I have interacted with insist on N1M.... but then its been some time i did Tbills so I might not be able to give a recent info on this!

Been hustling in the NSE for now! so much money to be made than just 10% in 91 days Tbills!

valacious: @those asking if you can buy right issue of transcorp at N1 even though u never had shares there before, i say yes u can. Just ask your broker, there could be people who do not want to pick up their rights, so u just pay money to your broker account and they buy and do u a transfer, daz all! I think this is the best time for japaul now. Buy japaul now!
Guy... Japaulhuh not to me!!

Until they clean up their acts.. i wll not be touching Japaul or any of the so called penny stocks!

I only buy coys that have good management practice in place...Over time this has never failed me!

markets may go up and down but sound coys never stop returning good returns to its investors.. I recently called for Skye Bank and GSK purchase.. we all can see whats happening to these stocks now!

happy investing!!

I have just made an order for over twenty thousand units of May&Baker which was not even on my initial plan. Thanks to the eagle-eye of Stockbull.

Am not a fan of Penny stocks... but for those of us looking for a good penny stock; UBA CAPITAL is the stock to buy!!
pls note that I have just finished buying a few units so I might be biased sha!

Please pardon my question, are you Atuocha or Emma Ewumi in SMN? Same stock was recorded by one of them in SMN.
Am neither of them.. i do visit SMN but do not post!

I saw their recommendation.. did my own due diligence and it made some sence...but the fact that i do not usually buy non dividend paying stocks made me to wait a little to see if the price will fall first.. it did fall to 1.28 and i decided to stake a little cash here!

I pray the coy do not let us down by the time the Q2 result comes out!

Omexonomy: sincerely speaking i have rake in a lo of money since i join this forum. May God bless all of us Amen.
On topic.
Why is it that nobody is talking about mutual fund in this forum. I visited my fund manager today and i was impress by the increament of the unit price. What i dont understand is why they are keeping the price per unit secret.
Below are link to the appraisal of mutual fund in nigeria for those who will be intrested.

http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/markets/investor/52672-net-asset-value-of-49-mutual-funds-grows-to-n111859bnhttp://

check the link if you are interested. This is a not an advertisment for any fund manager.

www.nigeriaintel.com/2013/04/15/mutual-funds-hit-n109-8bn-on-investor-appetite-for-safety-roi/
I hate to say this.. but from experience Mutual Fund is for the lazy investor! For the past 5 years i have been buying just three stocks in my retirement fund and I have always beaten all the mutual funds and the market Index return.

Why would I give my money to a fund manager who will still go into the market to buy the same stocks i would have bought my self and then charge me a certain percentage on the money made for me?

All they buy are all the usual stocks many of us fear to buy by saying they are expensive! the Blue chips!!

About 1 month ago when i decided to start mopping up NAHCO after my earlier purchase at N8 plus went bad due to the poor 25k dividend declared.. many analyst and gurus here said i was doing the wrong thing.

I was convinced cos i knew i was buying a good and properly managed coy which is also a market leader in its sector.. i gradually brought my purchase price to N6.50k by buying at <10% daily...

Now the stock is no longer available and from what i heare the foreigh portfolio guys have put the stock in their radar!

I can only laugh now cos i wont sell until we get to the promised land!

Happy Investing!!

kalan: Apart from News, the market respond to the forces of supply and demand.
Volume and Deals tells us these forces.

Volume tells you what Sellers are doing. Deals tells you what Buyers are doing.

When deals are more than Volume, the bid cap is raised causing high demand and
prices goes up. if this continues it causes a bullish rally on that stock.
But watch it when volumes are down and deals are down even if prices are up.
It shows off-loading, that price will soon come crashing.

There are many relationships between them, which for space and time I can't show now.
However, these strategies is what Major players use to kill it in forex and stocks day-Trading.

But overall, make sure you research a company for say 5-7 days, following the volumes,
deals and price movement before taking a position.

There is a way you trade News on stocks. The strategy is FOLLOW THE LEADER.
I will post more on that next time.

Conclusively, nothing comes by luck, you NEED to know what you're doing, or
the market will sting you like a bee.

All the best in your investing.
Bros.. I dont want to diagree with you but I will not agree with you fully!

From experience it is best to only trade on technicals when you have done your due deligence on the foundamentals of the coy!

No matter how well you follow the so called "leaders" its always better to do your own research!

As they say, Foundamentals tell you what stocks to buy and Technicals tell you when you buy! but from experience we can

never really time the market! we all just try!! but then its better to be vaguely right than to be precisely wrong (John

Maynard Keynes also keep this in mind!

“The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.” - John Maynard Keynes
