stillme: One of the problems of nigerians is impatience. I see nothing wrong with giving something a trial. We should not condemn the new system yet,let us wait for the result this merger. The Governor's intention is for the good of the students not bad. He should be commended for that brave step.
Stupid a$$. Why don't you let them use your own children for experiment?

Bossforeva: This is a Flash Fiction that shouldn't be more than 300 words. I did the story for the average nigerian to understand and bring out the moral lesson which can be found on the last two paragraphs. If i am to write a complex story then give me space for that. By the time am through, i doubt if u will even stand it let alone judging the art. If people judged the late Chinua Achebe by that book 'Chike and the River', then you might as well say that Chinua Achebe's is an amateur writer without knowing that he had a purpose for that.
Thanks for your Negative Comment it made me Stronger!
Very good that you can gracefully accept criticism so I will tell you 3 basic things that make the story a disaster.
1. You have got all your tenses mixed up
2. There are at least a couple of non-words
3. It does really read like a primary school kid essay composition.
Sorry this is my honest view. I will advise that you review it if you still can.

Family › Re: Are You Enjoying Your Marriage? by felifeli: 7:29pm On Oct 10, 2013
kofsy: I just feel like asking this question from married folks cos these days, marriage scares the hell out of me. From stories about infidelity, physical/emotional abuse to incompatibility and family issues. I'm starting to feel it doesn't worth it. That institution called marriage looks overrated to me.

If you are married and you are reading this, in sincerity, are you enjoying your marriage? Do you think you'd pick the same partner if given the chance to start over. Are there lessons you feel unmarried folks should learn from your experience?
The success of your marriage depends entirely on YOU and not your partner. What are the issues you are afraid of?
infidelity - was he/she a virgin when you met? If you could forgive that then what is your point ?
physical/emotional abuse - this rarely happens without provocation , if you didn't marry your psychiatric patient.
incompatibility - you were compatible enough to think of getting married right?, but somehow you have a better job and you are suddenly incompatible ?
family issues - get this straight, if you can't make your spouse's siblings your friends , forget it you probably have ulterior motives and you may actually be too evil to be married.

For the second part of your question, no I didn't enjoy my marriage. I am not marriage material ... and I love myself that way. Okay?

Meanwhile if this was about Jonathan or any of his loyalists in the PDP, you'd all have a field day calling for their heads, regardless of the source.

Like I mentioned earlier, feel free to discredit the source if that makes you happy. The truth remains constant nonetheless.
I was in church and noticed that a lot of people where not paying attention and I noticed some odd things
1) Some pinging
2)Indecent dressing among ladies: I really thing ushers should do something about dis cause I saw a lot of cleavages dat wasn't meant for the church
3) Make up: the way some ladies make up and come to church as if its a beauty pageant even in pageants am sure gals don't dress like that
4) Gossiping: a lot of people use this precious time not to worship God but talk about other people in church mostly back benchers do this
5) Sagging: this is for the guys for real tho can't you just kip your trouser up just for an hour or two for God?
6) Love connection: during service you will see guys/ladies looking at demselves in a seductive way
7) Receiving of calls when the service is going on
If you have any please share yours
The log in your own eyes : Have you gone to church to observe lack of manners and report on Nairaland? Face your God and not the congregation undecided undecided undecided
Travel › Re: Pilot Makes Emergency Landing In Sokoto As Tyres Exploded After Take-off by felifeli: 1:15pm On Oct 05, 2013
dani1luv: https://cdn.dailypost.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Kabo-300x225.jpg

Another plane crash was averted this morning in Sokoko when a Saudi bound Kabo Air plane carrying 400 passengers from Kano made an emergency landing at the Sir Abubakar III international Airport when its tyres exploded immediately after take off.

The Boeing 747 jumbo jet, left Kano on Friday en route Saudi Arabia but had to divert to Sokoto when the incident happened.

DailyPost learnt that all the passengers aboard the airline had been successfully evacuated from the plane and lodged in a hotel in the state. This is coming barely 72 hours after an Embraer aircraft belonging to Associated Airlines with registration number, 5N-BIT crashed in Lagos shortly after take-off from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.

The 30-seater aircraft had 20 passengers on board including seven crew members on board and the remains of former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Agagu crashed about 9:30am, killing 13.

Fake news. If the tyres exploded after take off then how did it land in Sokoto ? Please stop peddling fear.

chaircover: interesting . . . .Then I need to take more time to go round the aisles and see what they have got.

Not too sure about the frozen stews though. I suppose bachelors will buy that cool

Reminds me of yesterday one guy came into our local supermarket and was asking for beef. I never knew they even sold the stuff. Anyway They pointed him to a freezer and he came back with a small package of meat that had the worst freezer burn ive ever seen and the beef was looking pale. He bought it for N600. I felt so sorry for the guy, I wanted to tell him to come to my house and eat proper food instead of this rubbish he is about to cook and eat . . . but he might get ideas and of course I have to think about my own safety.

Some bachelors are really trying . . . Guys dont use your wives as girlfriends ooooooooo lipsrsealed

chaircover: I didnt see them . . .but do they sell tatashe and ata rodo? I saw onions though. In short can I cook a pot of soup with ingredients that I pick up from shoprite or do i still have to get some things from the market?

I know they sell beef and its nice and clean and well packaged, but if I still have to enter the market to buy okro and iru I might as well just buy the whole stuff from the market. Are you getting me?
They sell everything you need. You can even buy frozen stews too like egusi stew ogbono stew and several other. I actually wish they had more imported stuff like frozen meals I used to pick up at Sainsburys in the night when I don't feel like cooking or chinese takeaways

Business › Re: Shoprite To Open Another Store In Ibadan by felifeli: 6:38am On Sep 29, 2013
publisher: Blackberry was operating at a loss but still went ahead to produce the z10.

The opening of a second Shoprite in Ibadan less than 5months after the first one simply shows that both malls were conceptualized at the same time-and construction was probably going on simultaneously.

If truly Bodija Mall has been experiencing low patronage,u dont expect the mgt of Shoprite to now abandon the Ring road Mall already advanced in construction.

As a business entity Shoprite can only hope that its visibility studies on Ibadan pays off on the longrun.

It's too early to praise or condemn Ibadan-however with its size and proximity to lagos, surely expectations should be very high.
Which one be Bodija mall? Shoprite is in Heritage Mall Dugbe. The building is not owned by Shoprite.
Which one be Visibility studies? Half education is a dangerous thing.

Swaginton: Yesterday was perhaps a historic day in the world of English football.am not just talking about the mauling of manchester united by their rivals, manchester city.

It was also the last day paulo di canio presided as sunderland's manager.poor canio*sighs.

Anyways,as I woke up to be greeted by the shocking yet expectant news of his sack while I was still recovering from d harsh reality of man u's game yesterday.

I began to wonder;why is the coach always the first to be blamed?.moyes himself is already under immense pressure.don't the players themselves have any sense of responsibility?.sometimes the manager isn't given as much financial backing as he wants cause the board is more concerned with profits yet they want instantenous success..I personally believe(I stand to be corrected though) that sometimes players put up underwhelming performances either to get their coaches sacked or to force their out of their clubs so why are the coaches always at the receiving end?
Why did he field incompetent players?
