I wonder how Baby calm down and Kiss Daniel Buga did not win any award
Calm down won so many awards both local n International.

Buga didn't do well outside the continent cos kiss Daniel didn't do any rmx with an International artist.

If you want your song to be global, create a hit, when it's hot......do a remix with an International artist. That's the trend now

Asake vs Her....lonely at the top

Wizkid Tems vs Justin Bieber ....Essence

Tiwa vs Brandy.....somebody son

Rema vs Selina gomez.....calm down

Fireboy vs edshreen.....Peru

babaYIBO:
Just saw a thread where a guy is complaining about his friend not telling him about the fact that he was building his house, and I see a lot of comments complaining condemning the said friend.

https://www.nairaland.com/7892469/he-completed-house-without-uttering

Funny how people exact same thing happened to me last year, this time it wasn’t a from a friend but a blood sister who I thought loved me the way I do for her.

This woman was building her house while pretending to everyone that she was broke.

Funniest thing is, few weeks to moving to us getting to know about the house, she was asking me to lend her 300k as she has plenty debts to pay. Almost sent her 100k, but then I remembered how she prefers to party with her women associates more than she’s willing to buy anything for my parents. This is someone that my dad built and opened shop for.

If a friend do this to me now, walahi I won’t be surprised.
It happens even among the siblings. That's how Nollywood has brainwashed us. A friend of mine got embarrassed seeing his family house renovated without being informed. He was angry with his parents and younger brother that renovated the house.

He said, felt like a stranger in their midst and stopped all form of communication with them

kkins25:
I've been thinking about this alot, and can't seem to understand what "submission" means.

What does it mean for a wife to submit to me? Also, can women provide what "to submit" means to them?

Is submitting to a man similar to submitting to God in the sense that man has the last and final say? Does this mean, the man's will should supersede that of the woman? Does submitting mean, taking care of? Please, explain it to me like I'm a dumb 5 year old.
You have to lover her first, and submission will come naturally.

The word submission entails a woman doing all within her power to pleased her man

I don't know if I should be angry or just smile and take it as it is. This is someone that I fed, I clothed despite us being closed friends since we were kids. He knows everything about me that my parents don't even know till dates..We could go to a gathering together and I will be the one ordering and paying for everything we bought even recently because I always acted like the big bro and he accepted I guess .. Just last week I saw it on his status about is house opening invite. I later got a dm from him that same evening telling me about it that I should come through.

It came as a surprise I admit, even though I know he was doing quite well for himself. I know some will call it entitlement mentality but since I considered we were close like a brother we even ate from same plate last 2weeks, I thought I should have known atleast.

Note: I noticed so many people will come in here to call me names, even some accusing me to be someone with bad motives and sort I smile. Not everyone has a evil mindset like you or some persons you know, It's just that when you expect so much from people you hold very close to your heart you might get disappointed and it hurts badly.

Especially when you know you can't do that same thing to that person. I only brought it out here because I wanted to know maybe I'm overreacting because I feel a deep level of betrayal but hey I am happy for him and I will attend the house opening tomorrow.

File Photo for Illustration
You are not overreacting, it just shows that he didn't see you the way you see him.

Some people are wired like that, just too secretive. My roomate travel to his village without telling me. He only called to tell me when he arrived

Abuja Woman Surprises Husband On Birthday With Rains Of Hard Currencies, Expensive Gifts

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq6UNIGya-M?si=hH9kTCzx7y4P3-AP

In celebration of his birthday, Lady Mrs. Gift Emmanuel has showered hard currencies on her husband, Amb. Dr. Lawrence Oloche Emmanuel (MON), who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Promiseland Estate, located in Abuja the nation's capital.

Amb. Emmanuel woke up to chains of surprises on Tuesday as his beautiful wife had "ambushed" him, along with their beautiful kids and some family members.

They all appeared in customized quality T-shirts bearing the image of the celebrant.

At the blaring of the sound of "happy birthday to you" from a saxophonist, the well prepared wife made it clear that she was out to surprise her lovely husband for the love he has shown her over the years.

She quickly reached out to properly packaged wads of cash, which include Pounds, Euro, Dollars and the local currency, all in packets and highest denominations.

She was not done yet, she also quickly reached out to her handbag where expensive ornaments have been laid, which includes golden necklace, expensive Jacob & Co wrist watch and many more.

While the crowd cheered, hailing her with a shout of "e choke", she started decorating her husband with the expensive gifts, as the surprised husband simply echoed with excitement, "I love what I'm seeing".

One of the visitors in the house shaded the women who were watching, urging them to emulate what their fellow woman has done.

A thanksgiving and reception was equally held on thesame day courtesy of the lovely wife too.

This comes as the husband unveils the humanitarian arm of his business, Promiseland Foundation with a whopping sum of N100m.
Nothing special, she returns the man's money in form of gift

Wakatumbit:
My wife is very insecure and it's making me tired.
She's always suspicious of everything, I can't go out, I can't answer calls.
The worst part is that she will be keeping malice with me cus she's suspecting me, she won't even say anything to me.

If a someone who I don't want to talk to calls me on my phone, and I decline the call, she will take offense. There was a day my mum was calling me and I didn't answer the call on time, she became mad that it was a woman calling and I don't want to answer the call.

If I tell her I'm going to the gym in the evening she will become suspicious. I can't even talk to my clients who are females in her presence because she Will be always jealous.

As I write this, she isn't talking to me cus I went to the gym yesterday evening.

I'm tired. She has never caught me cheating before because it's something I don't do

Hello family!
My future is posing so much threat to my mental well-being and calls for serious help.
I've always been of the school of thought that decisions burdening on one's future should be the product of the person's deep thinking and not advice on social media platforms. Alas I was wrong!

THIS IS MY SITUATION
I would be 34 by February next year. I am a graduate of Biochemistry and I have been working as a teacher in a state government owned secondary School for the past 3 years.
Growing up, I've been passionate about studying medicine but couldn't due to financial constraints.
When I got my present job in 2021, the passion started coming back gradually but I ignored it and opted for a side hustle in software engineering. Late last year I got enrolled into alx software engineering program. I'll be done by the 22nd of this month. I've learnt a lot and acquired a lot of skills as well.
Despite this, the passion still keeps staring at me.
The issue here is, at my age is:
1. Is it a great idea going back to school to study medicine?
2. Should I go for computer science so as to boost my chances in the field of software engineering?
3. Or should I settle for PGD in education, then masters, to encourage my career growth in my present job?

I NEED SERIOUS ADVICE PLEASE.
Why not do msc in the line of data science , cybersecurity or software development.

If you earn form 50k pounds downwards you pay only 20% tax

If you earn from 51k pounds to 125k pounds you pay 40% tax.

So you rather remain at 49k than accept 50/60k pounds salary.
Yes, the higher you earn....the more you give back to the government. That's even outside your regular tax. The system is designed to make you comfortable but enrich the government.
