Olodo24:
Is it normal that no one has ever gifted me anything on special occasions? I'm talking about Valentine, birthday and Christmas. I am 29, and since I became anything close to an adult, I've never had anyone care for me enough to show me love on these special days. Not from family, not from friends.

I am currently not dating and things are really rough for me right now, but I've gifted people in the past. I know some members here will say I'm feeling entitled to the outcome of other people's efforts, but that's really not the point. I just want to experience love and feel loved no matter how small. I can't ask for much.

Having people gift you things is a big flex. I'm not even talking about people coming through for one when one needs help because that one na long story.

So, guys, is this normal? Is it very much normal that feel unloved over this? I'm really over thinking it for sure, but I can't help it.

Family › Re: How Do We Avoid Future Chaos In The Family by femi4: 12:10pm On Dec 17, 2023
Scholace:
Good day all

My dad is from a nuclear family of eight. Seven boys and a girl. Their parents are late. My dad owned 8 rooms apartment in his village. He singlehandedly bought the land and raised the building. We reside in Lagos in a rented apartment. Obviously that was the only building owned by my dad. We hardly visit the village, but I've been there twice, likewise my other siblings. My mum and dad are the only ones that frequent there back then, and they're well known. My dad and the sixth child of their parents are the only ones that owned a house. The rest of them live in a rented apartment and had no house to their namew.

The house at the village wasn't occupied by anyone nor let out. Recently, one of the family members from their mother side at the village suggested to allow someone occupied the house. He brought in some people who i learnt were church people. Someone gave my dad info that they want to sell the house. My dad was surprised. We later got info that my dad elder brother claimed he owned the house.

My dad called his elder brother immediately he got the info to confirm what he heard. The so called brother asserted, and he was ruthlessly lashed by my dad. He was surprised by my dad's reaction. Two of my dad other siblings came around to apologise on behalf of their eldest brother outburst. I was around then, i overheard one of them saying it's a family's house. I was like, why are they fighting their eldest brother then?He claimed he owned the house while some claimed it's a family's house.

Apparently, my dad discussed this with two of his friends and they both advised he sell off the house and get a piece of land in Lagos or Ogun State and put up a small building on it. They told him if he didn't sell it, the family will take over the house when he kick the bucket, and his children and wife will be thoroughly dealt with if they attempt to be in loggerhead with them. He called one of his friend that reside at Ibadan, he said the same thing as suggested by his two other friends. He also added, if he can get a developer to take over the building because only 4 rooms had been roofed. By doing that, the developer will complete the building and write a will when to recoup their resources and the building taken back from them by we the children.

My mum suggested he sell it and start up a business, considering the fact that things aren't going well financially with him. My immediate younger brother may likely drop out of school due to finances. According to my dad he has really helped his siblings when things were going well for him. He financed his elder brother's wedding, sent his two siblings to school, put some in trade as mechanic and electrician. Sponsored two of his younger siblings wedding ceremony. He linked one of his younger brother's to my mum's brother who happened to be a staff at Mobil. By the grace of God, he got a job at Mobil. That my mum brother is late, he died 2016. After all the favour my dad has rendered to his siblings, the best way they could say thank you was to inherit his only house. None of them has ever given even our last born #100. I graduated from school and still in search of job, none of them had shown interest. Glory be to God, we've never had the course to call them that we're hungry. I wasn't surprised regarding the recent development from my dad's siblings. I was envisaging taking it to a radio station, but i got to realised I'd have to spend some money towards that. I was discussing with my brother and he suggested i put it up for wider view

Please what steps would you suggest my dad take inorder not to lose his property to his siblings.

Thank you.
Work hard n make money. Never depend on your Dad's or families properties. Pursue peace with all men cos at the end of the day, you ll all leave these stuff behind.

And in this mountain The Lord of hosts will make for all people A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees. Isaiah‬ ‭25:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is KING, the Great KING. He has made pleasant provisions available for any of His creatures willing to come near to attend His feastland. You can ascend the Lord's mountain every day to enjoy His feast and benefit from the endless possibilities embedded in His realm.

The "mountain" (the venue of the feast) is a prophetic portrait of the spiritual realm, specifically the glorious domain of God. In the Old Testament, a famous name of this large expanse of God's domain in the Spirit realm is "Mount Zion".

So, on Mount Zion, "the Lord of hosts will make for all people.." This feast is for anyone willing to ascend there. It doesn't matter where they are from, their gender, their past, their limitations, etc, as far as they are willing to ascend and will drop any baggage that disqualifies and hinders them from soaring, they will find themselves in God's domain, made possible through Christ Jesus.

When you get to the feastland, they will delight themselves in the abundance inherent therein. You will enjoy "A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees." This should give you the picture that God's realm is a domain of great advantages and benefits.

The things being offered by the LORD Himself for His guests at His feast make for fatness (you will be well fed with great quality stuff).

I'm sure you've seen the abundance of provisions available at parties thrown by the kings and notable people of this world. Now, imagine the LORD, the Great KING throwing a party!

Amazingly, you can always feast with the LORD every single day! You can always interact with His glory and presence every time, and you will always draw from the abundance in the unseen realm to exert dominion in the physical realm where you currently live. Hence, you enjoy an unlimited life above the restrictive systems put in place on earth by the mischievous powers.

Finally, at the LORD'S feast, everyone will be treated as kings and vips. Those that will be allowed to come must put on the garment of Kingship which can only be purchased on the altar of Priesthood. It starts with getting the legal permit to come to God - having faith in Christ Jesus and making Him your Lord and Savior.

If you want to submit to the Lordship of Jesus, simply pray:

LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."

https://www.instagram.com/p/C07GSbTolNq/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Why the distraction with your picture. It should be less of you and more of him. That's how Jesus operated in his days....always pointing people to the father

So after many decades of demonising, ostracising and sometimes disfellowshiping male members who opt to wear or keep their God given natural beards. The leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect has approved responsible male brothers to wear and keep beards if they choose in a recent update aired on jw broadcast dated December 15,2023.

On this update nos 8 they've agreed that is non scriptural to instruct Christians on how to look outwardly uniformly. They now accept that spirituality is the basis of Christianity not outward appearances or trying to appear or sound different from other competing religious organisations .

There's high and mixed emotions amongst the members now. Many are disappointed while few who has been scorned by elders and congregation leaders for trying to leave there beards to grow may be the only ones excited.

But personally they( Governing Body) needs to apologise to there members for trying to make them look like a cult. Cus is only a cult that that enforce a dress pattern or grooming for members from varying cultures and backgrounds all around the world

Hello nairalanders, please I need your advice on this. I work in a bank as a cleaner and I go on errands for bankers in the bank. Am 24 year old and I only have my school start with me. I have an ambition to further my education though.

So their is this lady banker I like so much. I do go on errands for her. She is in her youthful age too but might be a little older than I do. I love her but I don't know how to tell her. I fear she might cast me if I tell her my intentions or I might lose my self respect.

Moreover, I always feel lonely because I rarely socialize. I go on errands because of the tips I make from it. Nobody gives me money for not doing anything. I feel less cared for but I care more about my loved ones even though I only give to them. I feel lonely all the time cry

Please what should I do

robosky02:
Nigerian journalist claims Osimhen is now greater than Victor Osimhen

Following the CAF Men's Player of the Year triumph over Mohammed Salah and Achraf Hakimi, a renowned Nigerian journalist claimed Victor Osimhen has surpassed JJ Okocha's legacy in Nigerian football.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen ended Nigeria’s 24-year wait for a CAF Men’s Footballer of the Year Award, and this has prompted comparisons with other legends of the sport, more specifically Jay Jay Okocha, who, despite his tremendous efforts, never received the award.

Osimhen’s triumph
The APOTY gong rewarded an incredible year for the striker, which not many, if any, players from the country had ever attained.

As cannot be overemphasised, he led Napoli to their first scudetto triumph since Maradona called Naples home, doing it similarly to D10S by scoring the most goals in the league.

Osimhen picked up the Capoocanoniere alongside the league title in a season where he became the highest-scoring African in the entirety of Serie A’s history, and this, in tandem with being named the best player in the continent by CAF, has earned him high praise from a renowned Nigerian journalist.

.

Respected sports journalist Steve Dede, elated by Osimhen’s achievements, stated boldly that the striker had moved past the revered Okocha on the rankings of the greatest-ever players to have donned several shades of green for the Super Eagles.

“Victor Osimhen just moved past Okocha in the ranking of the greatest-ever Nigerian players,” Steve said on X.

Pressed further by Pulse Sports’ Senior Editor Solace Chukwu, who, on his list of the top ten greatest Nigerian footballers of all time, named Jay Jay at 10th, Steve Dede submitted that he was substituting Okocha on said ranking, with Osimhen making an entry at 10th.

CAF award isn't a yardstick. Besides, Osimhen hasn't won anything at the Senior level.

With all the balon dior won by Messi, he was not reckoned with in Argentine until he won the commobol n the World cup
