Your son fit come meet you for that same level after many years. |
Clean shave it always and start keeping your beards. Baldness combine with well grown thick beards will make you look attractive and masculine. Ask the ladies, they will tell you. |
OP is withholding certain information. I am not harsh and insensitive but note that there are companies that are very impatient with new hires, especially if you promised heaven and earth during the interview and your actual performance is below par. Companies could only give you time to grow if hired as a trainee, graduate or management trainee. But if you come in as an experienced hire, note that the expectations would be high and you need to up your game. As a new and experienced hire in any organisation, never relax, create the first good impression and continue to show where you have added value from what you met on ground. OP, ask them why you were sacked. I am sure it may not be far from job performance or adaptation related issues. |
The structure there are far better than some state universities in the South. My concern mainly is the quality of learning. School is not just the structures and buildings but the standard of teaching and learning. I served in Kano and saw fantastic public schools but the quality of teachers and students were far below sub standard sef. My father learned in a very small shanties and buildings in the 50s but they were tutored by seasoned teachers and missionaries as schools were in the hands of the Roman Catholic Church. |
For once, a new public building built with bricks. Bricks makes building look everlasting. Don't know why government hardly use bricks for their structures. Abroad, red bricks na de koko. |
Na so them go take sack Jurgen Klopp? ![]() |
See how the chains has disfigured her two hands. SE ehh! The kind things going on there, my mouth no fit talk am. Greed, envy, robbery, snitching, back biting, killings, etc |
I can only imagine what these kids had gone through, most likely waiting for death to take them. Poor people should be sterilised and made not to have kids. Most of them have kids they can't cater for and keep producing like rabbit without thinking about the future. Go to any nearest motor park or public places and see mal nourished kids moving up and down and you keep wondering where their parents are. Africans have continued to debase the prestige of humanity and things do not mean anything again. My 3 year old boy is on drip in one of the best hospitals in Lagos and looking at him and his situation would want to make cry talk more of these kids without proper care and food. Punish those women and those they work for. |
If Nigeria was truly buoyant politically and economically and very stable with good standards of living, all these small neighbouring countries like Benin republic, principe ans Sao tome, Equatorial Guinea, even Niger republic, Southern Cameroon and Chad will be asking to be part of the buoyant Nigeria, thus forming an African style Soviet Union |
Parents should stop forcing careers on their kids and people should stop choosing courses based on how lucrative the so called course might be or perceived to be. My seven year old daughter is average in her maths but exceptional in hand writing, phonetics and drawings in her montessori school. Always coming first in those subjects as the school gives their pupils positions on each subject. I bought the best of crayons for her, a mini drawing canvas and some art materials. I got the shock of my life when I came back in the evening and she presented me with the work, where she drew my wedding picture with my wife. Our wedding picture is hung in the wall in the living room and she brought her drawing kits and replicated the same. I was surprised with the effort and semblance of her work with the real picture. I downloaded some super kids drawing art works for her in her tablets to enable with her finishing jobs in drawing and learning. However, my wife is not buying the idea of drawing and art. She is engrossed in my "child will be a doctor" mentality. Her school did a career day and she was nominated to act as a doctor but I asked the proprietor if she could be given an art career role, which she agreed. I gave her the drawing kits and sowed a mini dress worn by architects and artists in their workshop. Guess work, she came up that beautiful Edo bronze art work, the legendary Queen Idia. Career is all about passion and not just money. I, myself, I was a Chartered and Management Accountant in an investment bank and abandoned it to take up consultancy in humanitarian and development sectors, which has been my passion. Passion will definitely bring you fulfilment and happiness but not wealth. |
I always sympathize with this kind of people. You will feel more sympathy when you get to understand the circumstances surrounding his birth. No parents, brother or sister. Just him in the street, existing without anybody to guide him. There are a lot of them in Lagos Island, Oshodi and indeed all parts of the country. |
Schooling in Nigeria is a nightmare. Some people were in the travel sections lambasting a guy that wanted to go to the University of Rwanda. My brother, University of Rwanda is better than the best of ours here in terms of decency, serenity, civility and sanity |
I like Soludo but hates APGA. They are full of deception. From that red long-cap wearing deceiver to APGA members, with their stupid picture of Governor or Ojukwu in their ankara. |
Nothing surprises me anymore under this government. The brazeness of their actions even surprises them by their own standards. |
Obadamisi:Relocating with your family to uncertainty is a big risk. Do you currently have a stable job in Nigeria or is your spouse meaningfully engaged in Nigeria? Students job in UK are difficult to come by and very competitive. Except if your spouse will be engaged in something meaningful on getting to UK. Most of these jobs are hourly paid jobs, which may not bring in much. Securing decent job after masters is also very difficult these days. It is always depressing to see yourself hustling for jobs after spending millions in UK for masters. COVID19 has worsened an already bad job market situation. So I ask again, do you have meaningful job you are doing in Nigeria? If yes, hold on to it and continue with the Canada route. |
Balkan:Use your common sense bro. Why must you bring politics to problem considered to be a national problem? The same killings happened under your beloved Jonathan. We should be concerned on how to solve our national problems and leave politics of bitterness. Nobody or tribe is the cause of the problems Nigeria is facing. We are all collectively guilty, including your own tribe. |
At least, they look relatively ok. With small support from others, they can handle the responsibilities unlike those Okada riders and forknizers with triplets. |
It is extremely difficult I must tell you, especially if you are black and a non resident. I remembered doing multiple interviews as a waiter while studying in Scotland. I was told privately by the lady that interviewed me that the hotel owner asked her to reject me because of my accent. Most whites are still not comfortable being served food by blacks. There are lots of black chefs and waiters overseas, but most are citizens and have adapted to the society, with "acceptable" accent. Keep trying, luck may smile at you. If hired, you may even be deployed to other areas of the hospitality industry that are not customer-facing. |
n3xt:Ok thank you. I am currently outside Lagos. I will ask my site caretaker to do the enquiry for me. |
I pity you. That's all I have to say. Marriage can make or mar a man. If you get it right, you live happily and if you get it wrong, it will affect your whole life, including your ability to be successful and think cognitively. Please for the sake of your sanity, go for someone that values you and for whom you are. As I said before, I pity you. |
n3xt:Ok, I will be expecting your response as the site is beside Cooperative Villas. The guy that did his in January last year said that he paid 250k to the same contractor to get to the required depth of clean water and the water is good. |
n3xt:And the man is calling 350k for Badore for us |
n3xt:What of Ajah/badore, Abraham Adesanya area? |
majamajic:I just couldn't stop laughing. The guy was practically shouting on top of his voice. See the fear in the shout sef! ![]() |
nuelsylves:My brother, you are right. I have been looking for madams contact. She has been in charge of the state since August last year. Obiano has disappeared. Do you have her number? ![]() |
Nigerian youths and stupidity. See responses above all because of ethnicity. Your leaders will continue to use you people, divide you guys and perpetually keep you in abject poverty if you don't learn. |
People are here lambasting her for simply answering a question that she was asked. She didn't come up with the Trump's thing in the first place. She was simply asked why she was opposed by Trump and people are here saying she could simply move on. She needed to answer. I know that most Nigerians, when you ask them question about certain things, they will just say, "it is God." |
fake picture - this is not Nigeria. This has been circulating in the internet for the past 5 years. This is somewhere in Darfur, present day Sudan |
The way you dey panic, I doubt if the guy na your friend. Wait, when he comes back, two of you will reason the matter together. I dey suspect say the guy na your boss and you come cruise him car with babe. |
slimjohn2k5:Nawao! But even shell and other oil companies do not pay same across countries. People in Aberdeen receives something different from Nigeria. A guy that was once in Norway, working for Statoil Hydro of Norway put in transfer to come to Nigeria. His pay in Nigeria is still good but lower than the pay in Norway. So, countries peculiarities are also considered in staff emoluments for multinationals. Someone is also with Reckitt benkiser in Nigeria but when he went to Greece on transfer, his pay in Greece was higher than in Nigeria. |
slawormiir:Oga, in as much as you are a comedian, please respect our women folks. These reasons mentioned here are the more reasons you should respect them. I found these comments so disgusting and disrespectful, yet you claimed to adore your sisters, being the only boy in your family. |
