And their political leaders, Umahi, Egwu and Anyim are busy fighting. Basic necessity are indeed not basic in this country. Our government are so ignorant of the challenges of the common man. The governor will visit that community and they will fall over themselves to shake his hands and snap pictures with him. People are just too suffering in the rural part of this country. Common borehole. We are just still far from civilization. More reason why guinea worm and cholera has killed more people in Ebonyi state than the whole of Southern Nigeria |
Nigerians no de wait to vent their anger on the innocent children of the elite and the politicians. ![]() |
paulolee:Yes, it will be better. Federal government colleges or catholic-owned schools. But definitely, not any of the private ones. |
See how everybody is bashing Nengi out of jealousy. Put Nengi and the Eradiri, most guys will still pick Nengi despite the educational achievement of the later. Who education epp? So far, Nengi has been behaving well and professional. No scandal at all. |
See the man backside sef - fully sagged pants - him go sabi fart well well! ![]() |
I was surprised when I saw the reduction in rate. What was the government thinking? Anyway, this country is designed to be import dependent. That is why unemployment is high. This has created poor middle class that can no longer afford newly assembled cars in Nigeria. South African middle class are still buying made in South Africa new cars, with funding provided by banks and insurance companies. |
Not even up to what a medium sized company in US makes. Anyway, na corruption go still chop the money. |
My concern is the location of the project. That area is den of robbers and kidnappers. Airport roads are usually highly secured but I doubt if the security of that airport road will be ok. People coming from the airport will be robbed big time along that axis. Going to onitsha, I will take Asaba airport than that Anambra airport because of close proximity. |
As for paid employment, there is none. She will struggle to get one. If she is loaded with cash, she should look into business to start, like importing fast moving consumer goods. She could as well discuss with some FCMG to act as distributor and wholesale dealer. I understand that this period may be a trying period for her. Divorce is bad, bitter and depressing if the separation was fraught with bitterness. Don't listen to those bashing Nigeria. The country may actually offer her the needed healing if her family members are here and she wants a new start in life. |
The level of savagery in this country is mind boggling. People are here supporting the act because of their hatred for Fulani. That's not the way to vent anger. The repercussions of this dastardly act may be severe. |
Nicoswit:Well, the visa policy during our time was tough then. The conservative government of David Cameron in 2009 made it extremely difficult for foreign students to secure a well paying job to apply for permanent leave to stay in the UK. I actually got full time job with NHS in St. Andrews but my gross income was lower than the minimum £25k then that would have qualified me. Luckily, an investment bank in Nigeria came calling and I boarded the ship back home. So far, so good. No regret yet. |
79733139:Bro, I got a job back in Nigeria. Moreover, I want to build my success here in Nigeria. Even in the midst of all the chaos and rudder less leadership, my hope is still high. My utmost prayer and concern is the insecurity. |
mayorlag:I was a lesser Christian living in Aberdeen and St. Andrews in 2009 My christianity received boost again after my return to Nigeria with all the wahalas in the country. I need God to help see me through. This tells you the reason why many Nigerians worship God and prays fervently here. There are many issues worrying us as Nigerians. |
nickvanilla:Very correct. we don't usually like where there are aggregation of Nigerians. Fraud and vices will be inevitable with all due respect. As a former student in UK, I avoided my countrymen in the library most times and hardly attended major Nigerian gatherings. Issues, in fighting and shouting matches usually happened there. |
My annoyance is that all the people that writes about migrating to Canada are actually resident there, holed up in Brampton or Calgary and be discouraging people from embarking on the same journey. It is already a well known fact that Nigerians abroad hates the idea of their fellow Nigerians trying to make the same immigration journey. I don't know why. Please leave people to make their decision. |
Nero2424:It is not. I thought of the idea before starting my project as I so much love bricks and natural stones as exterior wall rendering. If you have the money, fire on with the bricks. It makes the house everlasting and differentiates your build from the rest within the neighbourhood. |
sapphiere:Nne, don't worry, your own man is not far from now. keep the hope alive |
paulolee:Honestly, I don't know why they are not showing that. Just giving us something akin to live scores. See hospitals in other countries, showing health care workers in full gear, attending to patients in hospital. Here, we haven't seen any government hospitals, isolation centres, heath care workers attending to covid patients. Government's action is even contributing in fuelling the narrative that they whole thing is scam. |
J111333:Enter Sugarland for Houston, it is like Ire-akari estate or Ago palace way, Isolo, Lagos. One woman was jogging and making call, shouting in heavy Igbotic accent. Me and wife kukuma smiled and passed and she turned to us and busted into laughter. Next thing she said, laughing hysterically, na, "Kedu ka unu mere?" |
Not my type of design. Very grotesque. Please visit pinterest and see modern house designs. Our standards are still terribly low in this country. I am not hating o so don't insult me. |
gbadexy:It is becoming increasingly likely with the daft government we have now. The inflation rate in Nigeria tops the chat among the African economies according to Channels news this afternoon. I wonder what will happen when oil becomes less important. We have to be productive and export-oriented or else..... |
comshots:I wish you all the best bro. It is really tough out there. More success to your hustle. |
comshots:Banks do not finance shop hiring but they can finance importation of goods to be sold. Be creative again and present a bankable proposal. Your case is like asking a bank for a loan to pay for a house rent. |
I have lost all atom of pity for these kind of people. The hospital should ensure that she pays every kobo before she leaves that hospital. You already have five kids and struggling and you went ahead to conceive. Poor people should be thought family planning. There should be a deliberate policy to educate the masses, especially the poor on the importance of having a lean family. Just imagine, 5+4=9. I pity the kids and the society. Africans breeds like rabbit. There is a correlation between development and over population. |
I have come to understand that health is wealth. As a youth, take your health seriously. Without good health, you can't even work toward achieving your goals. |
Nawao. Young people are taking commanding lead and positions in sane countries. My previous comments still stands. For a young man of that age to achieve that fit here, he must have proven himself as a political thug, with verifiable experience in blood letting, kidnapping and murder under his belt. |
Dennis3D:My brother, I hardly understood architectural drawings. It is only the pictures or the artist designs (3d design) that I understand. If I see the way the building looks, I will be able to make decision. |
Uk and knife stabbing |
spyder880:Nice of you Spyder. I wished he was in Lagos. I would have engaged him when the time comes. Keep it up. It is good to encourage those that are determined and hungry for success. |
Dijita:I love this statement, Dijita. Michlins has now become a poster child of tenacity, sincerity, good works, iron and steel fabrication expert. It shows what resilience and self-belief could do. He was once bullied, his capacity doubted, even his mastery and efficient use of English as an artisan questioned. He didn't give up. He has shown utmost openness in the few works received via this forum. Well done Michllin. It is always good to allow your works to speak for you rather than your tongue. |
Just in 2017 when she graduated before this appointment while her mates in Nigeria are still job hunting. If it was here, before getting that appointment as a youth, you must have paid your dues as a thug, with blood and murder under your belt. |
Agbegbaorogboye:The rogues of these transactions may actually be the Oyibos, but will surely use Nigeria as the fall guy. There are lots of organised criminals, highly- sophisticated gangs in Europe and America, but Nigeria and Nigerians would always be used as scapegoat. |

I stopped praying that my car makes it out of the road with its shocks and bearings still in place, I stopped praying that the filling station close to my house should have fuel by the time I get home. I stopped praying that there should be light by the time I get home, I stopped praying that let no criminal follow me inside when i go outside midnight to switch off my generator. I stop praying that let my car not breakdown in traffic or Eko bridge where hoodlums will come and harass me. I stopped praying that my salary is paid on time this month so I can provide for my family, I stopped praying that let me not encounter police with issues as I go out, I can go on and on.....................
