utcheylee: The closing balance is not a factor that determines if an applicant is eligible to receive a visa; but the inflows and outflows in your account is a very important factor and how long the account has been in operation. Your husband should also submit his own documents regardless of his financial state. I have just created a separate thread different from the German Study visa. |

Adalapretty: Your company is paying FIRS and LIRS Taxes while your will be placed on the pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) through deduction from your salary by your employer. The pay slip is a requirement, but as a business owner and for smaller organisation your salary account should be sufficient. |

@greeners222 if your reason for visit is genuine and substantial, then go to the German Consulate with all the documents listed on their website. I got my Schengen business visa fours business days after the interview. 2 Likes |

@abnot Write a letter to support your application, asterisk all the inflows as shown on the statement of account sheet and briefly explain in details e.g. December salary, December bonus, business loan from XYZ etc. Make sure there are documents to back up your claims. |

Adalapretty: Pay slips validate that you are legitimately working for a company earning a standard amount of salary and showing your monthly tax deduction, but if your company does not issue pay slips, then you need not bother. So many factors are used to reach a visa decision e.g. proof of funds in your account, proof of employment, family ties etc. Apparently you work in a small organization hence the salary payment not well structured. The onus is on you to convince the ECO that your employment is substantial and qualifies as your employment ties to your home country. Approach your employer to write you a letter addressed to the Consulate, this should be sufficient, but not a guarantee. If you’re married with kids, add marriage certificate, birth certificates, wedding and family pictures. Good luck |

EggPlant: If you do not have cogent or compelling reasons to stay back in the UK for another two weeks, keep to the period of stay as stated in your application. Misuse may result in you being denied from obtaining visas in future application. Integrity is KEY. A visa is not a right but privilege, if you get into the consulate's black book, those advising you won't lend you shoulder to cry on. It's your cross, carry it wisely. |

I have been an ardent follower of this thread which apparently has been hijacked long ago by student applicants. Nice job you all are doing. More grease to our elbows. If I am permitted by @Justwise I can create another thread only for Tourist/Business visa applicants only. I received my package today from UPS at exactly 3:18pm. I was issued a business visa. My advice to other applicants is "do it yourself" and do it with all sincerity. Honesty remains the best policy. I submitted all the requested documents as listed on their website from a-z without leaving anyone out. Visa was issued under 4 working days. This is my first Schengen visa ever as I have never had any reason to apply for one. If you want I can share my visa interview transcript. It was time consuming about 30mins, in fact you are given ample time to explain everything in details after which your documents will be taken from you and visa payment made. The you'll be asked to wait for 10-14days to get a decision. This is the smoothest visa interview I'd ever attended. I just love the German consulate for their fair and transparent visa procedures. 1 Like 1 Share |

abnot: The documents so far listed are not convincing and does not represent strong economic and social ties to guarantee you a visa. Except you have the proof of funds from the other source mentioned, I don't see how it's going to help your application. It is not enough to submit all these documents without proper planning/budget. Do yourself a favour by doing a budget breakdown for analysis here. |

cantona2015: If you can pass a job interview as a qualified journalist, then a visa interview shouldn't be your problem. All you have to do is convince the VO, in fact I like to throw them off balance. Your purpose of travel and where you will stay must be valid. Your job responsibilities is also important and must be well defined, It can determine the outcome of your visa and most applicants get it wrong from here. Lots of qualified applicants get intimidated sighting the VO hence the rejection in many cases. You'll even see applicants twisting tongue (phonetic) just to sound like a white man. It's very wrong in my own opinion. Be natural and truthful because a VO can smell some lies from 500m. Comport yourself to the interview and explain concisely to the visa officer your intended date of arrival in the US which is different from what you have in your application. This is considered an honest mistake and not fraud or wilful misrepresentation. They have a way of correcting it in their system. Best of luck. 5 Likes |

Forwetinnah: How more than 20 people gained entrance into the tarmac without a boarding pass is my fear(point) and not about the passengers protest. I see someone close to the landing gear. This is considered breach of safety rules and evident that the aircraft has been compromised and cannot be approved to fly at that moment until it is completely examined. 3 Likes |

How they addressed their grievances is not my problem, but how they accessed the airport tarmac without a boarding pass is worrisome. This is a serious breach in security which shows how ineptitude our airport securities are. The aircraft is no longer safe because its safety has been compromised. Someone at the top must be held accountable for this show of shame and madness. 24 Likes 5 Shares |

OmoBendel24: Well I did a quick research and found out it's a K1 visa. You have no troubles opening the packet regardless of the instruction on it. This is considered an honest mistake due to anxiety. Contact the consulate, you'll be asked to return the packet to be resealed. But this usually takes a week from my findings. Merry Christmas. 1 Like |
