PoliticsRe: Sanusi’s Exposé On Buhari, APC Vindicates Us -PDP by fubsy: 6:48pm On Aug 19, 2021
Easternmind:
Yes,BMC's are the worst.
In spite of the obvious that Buhari's tenure is a disaster to this country, and people are wailing heavily, once election comes and APC doles out N1000 to voters, people will FOOLISHLY vote for the directionless APC, and wail more later. I hope I am wrong.
PoliticsRe: Photos From Obasanjo's Meeting With Uche Secondus by fubsy: 6:36pm On Aug 19, 2021
AlhajiBitcoin:
Obasanjo is the most enlightened leader Nigeria has ever had recently.

He is in the class of Zik of Africa..

The only person I wished was President for life. We wouldn't be in a national abyss today.
It would have been constitutionally illegal for OBJ to go for a third term and more, but at the moment, a perpetual term (assuming allowed by the constitution) for OBJ would have been preferable to Buhari, who in my opinion has failed on all the three things he promised us in 2015 - (1) fight and kill corruption; (2) secure the country; and (3) revive the economy. This is my opinion o!
PoliticsRe: Ali Yakubu Numan Jailed 30 Months For Calling Fintiri ‘Father Of All Thieves' by fubsy: 5:46pm On Aug 12, 2021
The courts need to do better. Politicians are rubbishing our judicial systems, and the courts are permitting them. Why imprison a person for a civil act?
EducationRe: Aggrieved Student Leaves ‘Sacrifice’ In Lecturer’s Office In Michael Okpara Univ by fubsy: 9:37am On Jul 31, 2021
If the note was written by a 400L student of a university, then there is need for him/her to visit his/her English Language lecturer for tutorials, and not to threaten lecturers.

True!!! Thank God there is no report of any accident. Obviously drivers were careful. Hope such does not repeat itself?
PoliticsRe: PDP Knocks President Buhari For Travelling To Attend A Virtual Meeting In London by fubsy: 9:15am On Jul 29, 2021
Will he be made to account for his stewardship when he is done in 2023? Will has government be audited after 2023? If he is found wanting for wastage, will he still be entitled to pensions from Nigeria?
Thinking deeply...... How can someone spend so much to attend a virtual meeting, if there is no ulterior motive?
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu's Trial: DSS Arrests Foreigners For Taking Pictures Of High Court by fubsy: 9:54am On Jul 26, 2021
Where are we heading to in this country? Constitutionally guaranteed open trial is now a victim of this government.
PoliticsRe: DSS Accredits Daily Post, Nine Others For Coverage Of Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial by fubsy: 6:19pm On Jul 25, 2021
Why should the prosecutor determine the persons to attend court and give report to those that can't attend court?
SportsRe: Athletes Representing Nigeria At Tokyo 2020 (Full List) by fubsy: 10:56pm On Jul 23, 2021
I wish them the best. May Nigeria's flag be flown and our national anthem sung during medal award periods.

I don't see any sense in that monorail.
PoliticsRe: Constituents Write Senator Ekwunife, Demand Explanation For Absence At Plenary by fubsy: 6:35pm On Jul 22, 2021
These supposed legislators play on our intelligence because we the people don't capitalise on the recall process. Otherwise, I don't see reasons why certain legislators in the Senate and the House of Representatives shouldn't be recalled by their constituents.
CelebritiesRe: Supporters Hail Bukola Saraki At Eid (Photos, Video) by fubsy: 7:07pm On Jul 20, 2021
When he was fighting for Nigerians as a Senate President, the people of Kwara decided to follow Lai Mohammed. Now their eyes are opened. With Saraki as a Senate President what is happening in the National Assembly, would not have happened.
Foreign AffairsRe: Youths In Ghana Reject Salah Rice Donated By A Member Of Parliament by fubsy: 6:35pm On Jul 20, 2021
These are youths that are no longer foolish. I am waiting for the time when Nigerian youths and voters in general will take off their foolishness and vote for genuinely concerned candidates. I say "foolishness" because anybody that accepts peanuts (e.g. N5,000, a plate of food, a small bag of rice, a branded wrapper, etc ) to vote for the candidate and indeed vote for that candidate thinks that the peanut will sustain him for four years. That person is foolish. He that knows that his political candidate is corrupt and of no good intention, but votes for him/her because of party allegiance is equally foolish.

Can some objective minds from Rivers State tell of other projects Wike has executed?
Wike has by his bridges brought some communities that hitherto seemed far from each other closer. Right now you may not know when you've left one community into another as you drive.
PoliticsRe: Igboho Surrendered Himself To Government, They Couldn’t Arrest Him – Lawyer by fubsy: 12:26pm On Jul 20, 2021
Instead of arresting people who agitate for self governance due to alleged bad governance in Nigeria, is it not better for the government of Nigeria to hear them out and ask people through referendum if they want self-governance? If the agitations are popular, the people in the respective regions will vote for them by referendum, and the Nigerian government will do the needful. But if the people through referendum say they like the current setting, the agitation fails and the agitators will know that they've tried their best, and Nigeria remains as is. Britain did it in Brexit. Czechoslovakia did it. Sudan did it. Why can't Nigeria do it?
PoliticsRe: Sunday Igboho May Be Paraded Today by fubsy: 12:12pm On Jul 20, 2021
Please what crime has he allegedly committed?

I just saw stockpiling of arms on another thread. OK, let's wait for the government.
PoliticsRe: NCC: We Don’t Have adequate Coverage For Electronic Transmission Of Results by fubsy: 2:27pm On Jul 16, 2021
Omooba77:
Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......
But people registered for PVC and details captured in a server. When suffering reach its peak, people will decide what they want......
True talk. Right now, the people are being used as pawns by those in government. Very soon, the people will realise and their senses will return. People go to ATMs everywhere. Do POS transactions everywhere. Have mobile phones with data everywhere. In fact, card readers work everywhere for elections. But when it is for transmission of results, no enough coverage. Shame!!

PoliticsRe: Senate Passes Bill Allowing Electronic Transmission Of INEC Results by fubsy: 2:55pm On Jul 15, 2021
Because left for zombies, they will be hailing their darling daddy even if this country is set ablaze. Very stupid set of idiots they are.

Sane Nigerians, let’s commend ourselves for this back to back victory.

Our two major projects have been achieved.

First was to make sure Lauretta ‘Palmwine drinker’ Onochie does not get cleared as INEC commissioner, we achieved it.

Second was to ensure that the Senate accept Electronic transfer of results to sanitize our electoral process, and we achieved it.

No street demonstrations, just social media bombardments.

Thank you sane Nigerians!

"Back to Back Victory" you say. Did you see the caveat about NCC? The caveat in my opinion is a deliberate inclusion to make the electronic transmission of result fail!!!
CrimeRe: Philip Udala Killed By Gunmen, His Convoy Set Ablaze In Anambra by fubsy: 1:23pm On Jul 15, 2021
The disrespect for human blood has taken another dimension in Nigeria. Brothers killing brothers for no known, concrete or justifiable cause. May God help Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: INEC: PDP Lauds Onochie’s Rejection, Urges Buhari Not To Re-Present Her by fubsy: 5:00pm On Jul 13, 2021
Seriously speaking, can this woman come out after an election as an INEC commissioner and say "we have conducted a free and fair election"? Will any well-meaning Nigerian take her seriously?

PoliticsRe: Lauretta Onochie Declared Membership Of APC In 2016 Not 2021 by fubsy: 4:20pm On Jul 12, 2021
The witness statement was made in 2016. But no matter what, being the person she is in Buhari's government, is it not honourable for her to decline the appointment? Is it even honourable for Buhari to appoint her as a Commissioner for INEC that ought to be an INDEPENDENT agency?
PoliticsRe: HURIWA To Buhari: Rename Finance Ministry To Foreign Loans, Debt Accumulation by fubsy: 4:01pm On Jul 09, 2021
I am tired of Buhari’s government. It is just heaping debt on the future generation of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Insecurity: We Can’t Afford To Disappoint Nigerians ― Buhari by fubsy: 10:26am On Jul 09, 2021
2023 election is closed, so APC cannot afford to lose after a colossal failure in governance from 2015 till date.
PoliticsRe: Profiles Of Technocrats Jostling To Govern Anambra State (Photos) by fubsy: 4:31pm On Jun 26, 2021
Wow! Anambra is blessed to have these aspirants. I hope at the end of the election, the winner will collaborate with the others to make Anambra aspire to be the best governed state in Nigeria. Hope other states will learn from Anambra? Not the ones that senior thugs will aspire to be governors and be supported by moneybags with stolen wealth.
PoliticsRe: President Buhari Off To London Friday For Medical Follow-up by fubsy: 6:53pm On Jun 24, 2021
When will the presidents of other countries come to Nigeria for their medical check up. Hmmm! Nigeria is now a phantom giant of Africa. Big shame and regrettable. In 2015 and 2019, I trekked kilometers to go and vote, I am not encouraged to do the same again except my vote will make a drastic difference.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Appoints Malami, Fashola, Others To Engage Twitter Over Ban [FULL LIST] by fubsy: 3:28pm On Jun 22, 2021
What is the negotiation about? For Twitter to register with the CAC and FIRS? For Twitter to monitor people's tweets and unilaterally bring down any tweet that says Buhari's government is bad? For Twitter to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu is banned on Twitter? For Twitter to allow Buhari have unhindered and uncensored tweets even if it is divisive?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Would You Advice Someone To Study Law, The Noble Profession In Nigeria ? by fubsy: 12:51pm On Jun 21, 2021
Under the leadership of Buhari, law has been bastardized, as the rule of law means nothing to the administration. The homes of justices were raided by the executive to intimidate the courts, decisions of courts were not respected and are still not respected by the executive, the executive determines what to pay the judges, the court premises and roads leading to court premises are in terrible state, judges are classified as third-class citizens in a country of supposed three equal arms of government, the Attorney General of the Federation, hmmm, Attorney General, make I keep quiet. Meanwhile, an Attorney General is supposed to be the chief law officer of a State, highly respected and knowledgeable in law. Then young lawyers are combing the streets of Nigeria looking for N40,000 salary employment just to survive. Before Buhari, N40,000 would have made sense, but now, forget it!!! I wonder how it will be going forward. So, will I advise someone to study law in Nigeria now? Unlikely, except things change and the rule of law takes its pride of place.

That's how the fool earned himself a disciplinary action for free, I wonder what makes a policeman so special that they won't want to pay for services they use, when you cant leave their station without bribing them....
Did you say bribe? I don't think money given to police generally is to bribe the officer. It is called extortion by the police, not bribe by the victim.

Government treating kidnapping with kid's gloves. Kidnapping is speedily becoming a norm. If drastic and decisive actions are not taken, it may become an occupation. May we not get to that point!!!
