This is what we get when we allow tugs and terrorist plunder our treasury.the question is not why they are bombing but who is sponsoring them. For those supporting NDA, it's important to note that every Geo political zone is an extension of our collective nationhood, if you are getting peanut from your state same will translate in a secession state. The problem of the Niger delta is not the north, it's her leadership. The same spillage we accused the gov n IOC's of is same parts our liberator are towing. |
The problem in the Niger delta is leadership, as much as I want resource control, the question begging to be answered is who controls the resources. The militant, the people, opportunist, or criminals? The people are first of all off the table and no development can occur without a translation of the people from poverty to prosperity. |
princey83:thanks for a detailed reply i'm educated. |
hello guys My wife and I are thinking of relocating to Canada thru applying for an msc. I would like to know what states have the most juicy job postings? I tend to see more of volunteer jobs as recent jobs on most peeps, is it that there are not so many jobs again? Is it easy schooling and supporting a family in Canada? What profession are in high demand? Is it advisable we both get an msc at the same time? |

Economies are like investments they take time to mature, the more you invest the more the growth the less you invest the closer to death. Yar adua n GEJ enjoyed the economic investments of OBJ but failed to build on it and now the OBJ investments have been spent and are tired n dey need rest and more investments to survive.T he only reason GEJ looked good was oil price, $100 if the oil market had crashed 18 months b4 he left office he would have been crucified like PMB. PMB knew the state of the economy and should have jumpstart it pending when investment reinforcement will arrive. To be frank there were a lot of things expected like the continuation of the adeshinas agriculture revolution. Secondly I'm disposed to the wisdom of the old folks but I would prefer the energy and idea of the youths, Adeshina proved that in GEJ admin, fresh ideas. Well let's buckle up it going to get tougher, if you don't know God as ur provider I suggest you do as this whole episode continue till next year the good news is things will start eaiseing out this time next year. Mr Reno I comment my reserve. |
Scholes007:We can't afford to patronise IVM simply because it's naija assembled ivm needs to do aggressive marketing. drive from ojota to VI how many adverts or sales point of ivm do you see? How many of kia or Nissan, or Toyota do you see? People buy what they see that's why companies run adverts on TV n bill boards. As we speak I don't know a location to purchase an ivm vehicle but I know of kia Peugeot Nissan n ford Benz. If ivm doesn't give the public a taste of what they have to offer no one will take them serious. |
oc2fish:My brother I feel ur pain, naija government does give a damn. Some people were sponsored by ptdf and mid way the pay stopped .You have to multitask I know people who worked their way through paying for living expenses tuition undergraduate to postgraduate studies, one in particular is doing phd now and they made decent grades. Working From sky call centre to stadium to factory to security. It wasn't easy bro but they made it. And the yeye schools don't hesitate to call UKBA. It is well |

plaetton:As much as I will want to reason with you, I can't help but think that you are merely giving facts from your head, I'll suggest you bring facts that can be referenced be it tabloid or NBS to educate the undecided on this issue |
This is a trend in Nigeria and it gets worse now that the economy is taking a break. In as much as I sympathise with the students the government can pay salaries of people at home not to talk of abroad with all our forex complexity. This same trend was what started the Yahoo Yahoo thingy during shagaris government. My advice to students is that they go and work I know a lot of people in UK who saw themselves through school working multiple jobs in the summer, holidays breaks, and 20hrs per week. The chances of tuition payment is slim in the present economic reality the sooner you get a job the better. |
No use crying over spilled milk, create measures and systems to motivate them. |
This just buttresses my point of view, having a president come from ones backyard does not mean massive development. for all other ethnic groups agitating for the presidential seat, be informed that the seat most likely won't change anything, development of a state starts with a visionary governors. |
Mr deputy senate president, you have been a senator for seventeen years what development have you attracted to Ndigbo? Charity should begin at home, don't flood the government with people who are interested in their stomachs and not the development of the SE. |
[quote author=anonimi post=44775715]Have you heard that he who comes to equity must come with CLEAN hands. Buhari is GUILTY of the same offence- INCOMPLETE declaration of assets. IF DullardPoo wants to be taken serious he shoud first FULLY declare his own assets and explain how he got the BILLIONS for his campaign, not so ![]() If PMB and his wife are guilty of fraud lets prove it and prosecute them, but because they are guilty doesn't exonerate me from a crime with proof. Let's pedal less on politics and go full throttle on what is right. Ever other persons time will come but let's not for the sake of political correctness deny a man his time else the future will be timeless |
I will make reference to Dangote who said the reason why he isn't really affected by the fx crunch is that 85% of what is required to run his cement factory are gotten in Nigeria the remaining 15 is used to pay foreign experts and buy rare raw materials. The present situation is meant to stimulate local content companies like Guinness need to create an oppounity stimuli for the raw materials they need locally thereby decreasing cost of production. Same goes to other coys they have been in Nigeria too long to be importing what we can produce locally that is one way to create jobs and when income earners generally increases there is increases customers, it's a win win for coys. Local content is key to growth. |
It's quite unfortunate we are treating the saraki saga with levity, I hear agreements like others stole too why is it only him and my answer is the cure to madness starts from one pill, persecution or not the man is a thief who has robbed not this generation but that yet unborn we got weak social amenities in Kwara, yet our medical doctor govonor owns mansions all over the world, we care not to ask what for of business appart for government is he involved in. I weep for posterity, how long will we fail to create a future for her. |

Our refineries are moribund and they need to be sold if there is to be any chance of product self sufficiency. History backed with Statistics has shown that government can't manage any production facility and we really need to work on policy sustainability cause OBJ sold the refineries n yaradua reversed it, sold to cronies or not the fact is that for the past nine years we have been stagnant, now same person he sold it to is building a refinery with a capacity of 29million litres of fuel daily come 2018. |
Simple solution set up a trust or foundation and direct people there. |
Fayose should give solutions enough of the criticism. Let him tell us how he has been able to liberate Ekiti from the present downturn, I sure hope he won't tell PMB to share rice to the whole country cos we will come back tomorrow. |
The problem is that banks are not making as much money as they did a year ago due to the downturn of the economy. So how do they pay their bills n salaries? they get dollars from CBN at Offical rates and sell at the Offical rate according to the books, but instead they sell at parallel market price the differential is what they use to supplement bills likes salaries and utilities. Are CBN aware of this development? Yes I believe so, but they choose to be silent because the books says Offical price and secondly they may have to choose between the present arrangement and the banks underperforming which will lead to flood of sack letters. You can get d dollar at Offical rate if you are bringing in stuffs that will enhance export like farm implement etc. |
There are companies in Abroad that only employ graduates from ivy league schools, what you should focus on is increasing your worth in the labour once you got all the stuff that employers need they will come crawling to your feet |
Hate him love him, he is a very good politician. Happy birthday Asiwaju. |
dubbiskelly:I sure will love you to educate me. |
In the Bible when the church faced persecution I never read that they prophesied but I read that they prayed. Enough of the dooms day talk let's all hit our knees in prayer. |
To be fair on fayose I've seen him commission a dualized road and some Street lights of late. Back to the rice sharing, fayose is a smart politician, with a mantra get the people's stomach you get their support thats why till date he is still the most loved govonor in ekiti unlike fayemi speaking big grammar to hungry stomach. By the way any state that replicates this project will be greeted by a mammoth followership. Do the ekiti people deserve better I think they do, how do they get better? I believe by flushing the we have the most educated individuals in the country down the toilet and birth the most educated and sofisticated people in the country. |
It's good to have foresight but not at the expense of survival, let our foresight solve are basic needs first, before the Americans and Russians went to space they had electricity, pipe borne water, good roads, bridges, security etc. If we want to be like them let's follow their steps also |
But I thought it was a 2014/2015 exercise? What has change got to do with that? |
hensben:It is only a dead man that lacks the capability to learn something new, patience is a virtue that can be learnt. Producing locally makes them more money as they can even export their products. |
mapet:It doesn't have to take them same time because we all see further by climbing on the shoulders of those who have gone ahead of us. A proof of this is the Igbo man with tomato paste factory, The only thing constant in development is change and all men have the capability to tow it's path. |
Tycoflu:Exactly sir, the reason dangote is not complaining of dollars is simply because over 70% of his raw material are locally sourced he doesn't need to import heavily. I believe my Igbo brothers can do better than him if they change their strategy. |
