PoliticsRe: Nigerian Twitter Reacts To NNPC Workers' Protest Of Unbundling Of NNPC by gabicon: 2:40pm On Mar 09, 2016
The fact is they have too many redundant employees, 50% of employees do nothing n collect salary n pension.
Case study are the refineries they haven't been working for years yet staffs are being paid.

I'm of the opinion that an organisation like nnpc should be a profit making entity Meaning remit the federations money, do business make money pay salaries declare profit back to the state. NTA should be next they cant just be collecting money from FG with the huge infrastructure they have, they need to fend for themselves and make profit for the state.

Their discussion will end in Mtn will pay the fine for the sake of face in the public and make same money back through some form of arrangement.
FamilyRe: Is It Polite For Husband To Seek Wife's Approval On This? by gabicon: 2:40pm On Mar 03, 2016
I hear a lot of submission here she ought to submit, but that's just a side of the coin, the other side says love your wife, if I love my wife will I bring someone into our home without her consent? Marriage is a partnership, how effective will a body be if the left side works against the right? So also must spouses work together.

Let's look at it this way wives submit to the love of your husband and husband's show love to the submission of your wife

I make decisions as head in the home that my wife builds. And by the way to love is a lot more difficult than to submit

Rev King and Pastor TB Joshua are both Nigerians
Their action both led to loss of human lives
Rev King was immediately arrested and remanded in prison
TB Joshua has failed to answer several court summons

I repeat, I don't have any say for justice neither am I worthy to stand in the presence of God due to my sins, but I will always say: what is good for the geese is good for the gander. Nobody should be treated higher than anybody in the face of the law.
The TB Joshua case by law is categorised as involuntary manslaughter rev king was outright murder cos he intended to cause bodily harm.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: No Jobs Or No Employable Graduates? by gabicon: 12:29am On Feb 25, 2016
we as a country have not been able to balance the quantity of graduates entering into the system withe the amount of jobs created by the system.
we have 2 million graduates yearly being produced by all institutions of learning, lets assume that this number has been constant for say 5 years, are we saying that our employment system has created 10 million jobs in 5 years or better still ten years? your guess is as good as mine.

Nigeria has failed to provide jobs for her citizens for years and it has equally failed to enlighten its citizens on the potentials of entrepreneurship to its growth, no basic social amenities to easy business, no laws that protect small businesses, dependence on foreign goods, poor infrastructural development. better put it is difficult for small businesses to survive and grow in Nigeria.

Are there a number or unemployable graduates in the system? Yes. Do they constitute up to 70% of the system? yes. are we able to provide 600, 000 jobs yearly for the employable graduates? No

I blame the government and parents for the state of the nation because they both were concentrating on themselves and the present that they forgot about the future. the british and our founding fathers created opportunities for them while they sat, complained and murmured for years now the chicken has come home to roost and once again they take the easy road our graduates are unemployable, I sometimes wonder how these same graduates hustle and go abroad and make a success of themselves. i guess the climate there turned them to employable.

the way forward, the average nigerian graduate does not think, and if one can't think he cant see opportunities. the reason for this is because a physiology or go to school get good grades and get a job has been implanted into our brains. this needs to be changed to go to school and make a difference in your society. No foreigner will create 2 million jobs for us we have to do it by ourselves by making sure that young people use their energy to create value for their society, 70% of america's economy is made up of SMEs, we need to replicate that here in Nigeria and steadily grow our exports.

I applaud the initiative, I just feel the numbers don't add up, $5billion with pumpkin leaves as the major cash crop doesn't make much sense. How many people or companies in the world consume or use pumkin leaves as raw material? Or better still who is the targeted market? If it were cassava as a major cash crop I would have believed it since it can be used to get starch and even alcohol. Good initiative by his Excellency at least he is doing something irrespective of if the numbers add up or not.
PoliticsRe: Solution to the Nigerian Economy by gabicon: 4:06pm On Jan 22, 2016
What we need is to stop the names calling and put our brains to work. I was born into a country with epileptic social infrastructure and my children are most likely going to be born in same state, this is an indication that I've existed but not lived to create a difference for my yet unborn generation.

The past is gone with its irresponsible leadership we are in today going to tomorrow and we can make a difference if we have the will and decide to work hard.

Firstly we need to cut government spending I suggest we the people initiate a 75% cut on political office spending, how will this be done? There is a call back clause for senators and honourables, if they refuse let's call them back home, when a few are called back the others know we mean business.

Secondly investing in agriculture each local government should have modern farming tools that can be rented to farmers to farm. And the products sold outside and inside the country. We can forces on cash crops to sell outside the country.

Investing in mining, we got too many natural resources wasting in the ground.

We also need to revamp our manufacturing sector to process all we mine and grow, there by adding value to raw material.

Deep sea fishing is also a lucrative venture.

This things take time to grow but best time to grow an apple tree is 10 years ago, the next best time is now. We cut cost, invest the cut, and gain profit in the future.
FamilyRe: Why I Don't Want My Brother To Get Married To Her by gabicon: 11:14pm On Jan 17, 2016
SSpeter:
I know this might not be totally right but at least it will make me feel great. Egbon wants to get married in march and automatically I will become the best Man. But I don't want him to get married to her. It is not because of her but the dad.

It all started back in 1998 my dad was having a court case with our supposed in-law over our house. The house was sold to my dad by the late late brother of our supposed in-law. That was even before my dad got married. We have lived in that house for more than 10yrs. My siblings and I were born there. After the death of the brother in 1998 he dragged my dad to court saying his brother was only a benefactor and does not have the legal right to sell the building and their late father made him the executor of His properties according to the late father's will. My parents were partners in business and their office was located at the ground floor of the building where we lived. Their goods were also stored there (plumbing equipment).

Prior to joining the plumbing business, my dad was into commercial inter-state transport services after suffering heavy losses he auctioned what was left and joined my mum in the plumbing business. A year later he was in court with our supposed in-law. The legal battle started in December. Egbon travelled with an aunt of mine who had won a visa lottery the previous year. My sisters were older than the guys. they were already in boarding school. I was the king of the house. My dad suffered many embarrassment at the hands of our supposed in-law. He dragged the case for some years money meant for business ended up in legal battles. My dad had to borrow to pay suppliers. He couldn't not order for new materials anymore and the business eventually collapsed. Extended families gave their support until 2003 when a lagos high court handed our supposed in-law victory undecided

My dad wanted to appeal the judgement but his lawyer told him to get an apartment with whatever he has left. Although my parents thought they hid everything from us. Perhaps my sisters didn't notice because they were not always home but I saw my mum cry severally. I saw the fears in my dad eyes. I listened to their whispering at night I knew we were doomed. Our supposed In-law sold the house to a bank. The bank gave two weeks to evacuate. But before the notice expired they brought sledge hammer and started destroying the building with our properties in it. My dad tried to protest but he was beaten and arrested. For the first time I saw our "Supposed In-law" that day ordering the boys to destroy everything. My dad was later released days after. I went to live with my cousins. My sisters also went to live with my other cousins.

In 2006 I wrote a mail to Egbon I narrated all that happened to him and he vowed he was going to ensure that they payed for it dearly. Few years later, I got admission into the university my parents embraced christ; But I still feel bitter. How time flies, my sisters are both married and it's just me preparing for the life of a bachelor; Until recently my brother told me his plans of getting married, I noticed it because he has visited us more than usual last year and had extensive discussions with my parents. But whenever He came back He still promised my dad that he will never forget all that happened. My dad told him that was in the past but I know what my brother was capable of doing as regards family.

He brought his supposed girl friend (I believe that is all she will ever be) to the house last christmas everyone welcomed her but immediately I set my eyes on her, she looked like the man that was giving orders to tear down our house. I asked her for her surname, when she said ****US, I knew she was the daughter of our long time enemy. When they left, my mum and dad begged me that I shouldn't say anything. That they have forgiven him. She invited my parents and I during the new year but I declined. I have also told my brother I can't be his best man. He thought am joking cos it was via mail. My brother had assured me severally whenever I told him what became of us after then that incident and he told me "I will give up anything to deal with the Man that messed with my family". I guess I will have to tell him the whole truth. But my parents keep calling me every single day to beg. "Saying I should not bring him misery. That they were happy he decided to bring home a cool headed lady".....But I just can't let it go. Unless my brother and I will decide not to be brothers anymore because I will never go to his house if he marries her. I will never associate myself with him or anything that has to do with him.

I have finished typing the truth I want to send the mail to him...I don't know why I am hesitating (I guess my parents will forgive me sooner or later) but he has to know the truth!!!!....i can't dine with my enemy!.....I don't want to see her dad face again....never...I hope am doing the right thing....i think I am.....perhaps I am...
You have to forgive my bro, and forgiveness means you letting go stop thinking and talking about it. Vengeance is Gods work not ours, God has been faithful in bringing your family out of such a big mess and he has blessed you it will only please him for you to extend the olive branch to your oppressor.
I think your brother has a right to know the truth, but as its popularly said what you want to say is not as important as how you say it, let your parents be the one to tell him and who knows life may just be trying to orchestrate a reconciliation of both families.
God has forgiven you so much therefore you have to forgive others and allow God heal your pain.
God bless you

This is the biggest corruption problems we have, when friends and family act ignorantly on truth. If the man is not an arms contractor/ security agent why should he be paid through that channel? Do doctors go collect their paycheck from a law chambers? I honestly think we need to appeal to our senses of morality and discernment on right and wrong. It is wrong to obtain money for a good job done through the wrong channel. The funny part is all of these accused try and pass the bulk on GEJ without proof, no document has so far indicted GEJ on the sharing of monies to these guys, the only document in circulation is the one that ask dasuki to obtain money to buy arms.

Olisa simply return our money, family in the future kindly probe the source of your patrons wealth. God bless us all as we make Nigeria work

She doesn't hesitate to remind me that she rented and furnished my ouse. Don't u think that's an eye-opener to what she will turn out to be when she has my ring on her finger?
Tell her how you feel man, abi don't you guys talk? Marriage is a partnership between two people and communication is key to the success of such partnership. Tell her you dont like how she talks to you, state your worries to her of why you are having second thoughts.

To have a successful relationship with a woman one has to communicate always, instead of buying intimacy gadgets he should have asked his wife what he needed to do to take their sex life to the next level or how to satisfy her maximally same should go for the wife. It's all about communication all she may want is six packs or get away adventure. Different taste for different women, and communication should be a continuum, just because she likes a today doesn't mean she will like it tomorrow.

chccho:
u condemn infidelity but, u feel that there is a justifiable reason it could have occurred!!! At the end of the day after u might have heard all sides nothing at all Justifies infidelity in marriage so pls what is your point here
I believe I used the word no moral right, infidelity is and should not be an option in marriage, But infidelity can be instigated by a partner. One of the needs of marriage is sex, if a partner is not meeting the needs of the other its only a matter of time that the latter finds fornication or fornication finds him.

I have audienced cases where a wife feels too holy for sex and the husband has be starve for months and fornication comes knocking and he falls everyone start pointing at the husband but the question is would the mess have occurred if the wife played her part as a partner? Most marriage cases are more complicated than we see and paraphrasing apostle Paul for the sake of sexual immorality every man should have a wife and visvisa and the spouse should render due benevolence to the husband and visvisa. If we don't render due benevolence to our spouses we are only a step away from immorality.
From the OP I can't say if he rendered his due benevolence or not I am simply pointing him to that direction to evaluate himself if he kept his own end of the bargain, if so consolidate on it if not make amends.

what kinda trashbare u spilling here so all u can say is its the OPs fault his wife cheated or whathuh Na pole like u dey always give false advice
Behave a little bit mature my dear, state your point and don't create a feud with names calling.

There are three sides to every matter OP's side, the wife's side, and the right side. We only heard OP's side it is only fair we hear the wife's side then we can decide on the right side. I condem infidelity in the strongest terms, infidelity can either be as a result of personal greed (long throat)/ selfishness or due neglect of a spouse needs.

FamilyRe: My Wife Slept With Another Man, What Should I Do? by gabicon: 12:07pm On Dec 16, 2015
Realwvn:
My wife and I had been married 15 years and we had been through some challenging times like most couples. Our sex life was regular but my wife was never really willing to explore things in the bedroom and whilst I desired her to be more adventurous l accepted it.

I had bought some toys but she seemed aghast at thought of using them. I received a promotion at work and the demands of the role meant longer hours at work and often compiling reports late into the night. During this time I noted my wife gradually spending more time on the computer on social media mainly with her group of close friends. Over a 6 month period she stayed up later and later and I would tell her to come to bed but eventually fall asleep. Not long after this she told me her and a friend were going to another state to visit a work colleague. Given l was busy at work l thought a good chance to catch up over the weekend. So the wife went and returned and said she had a great time and caught up with some old and new friends so l was happy for her. She soon returned to staying up late and noticeably seemed consumed by her mobile. this continued and a month or so later I had a conference out of town and asked if wife wanted to come for the few days but she said she would get bored. So this came and went and it appeared my wife was losing interest in sex.

One day out of curiosity l decided to check the home computer and in checking the history l found the previous night an adult web site had been accessed. I didn’t think much of it but a few days later same thing so I asked wife and she said it was prob just a pop up she may have accidentally accessed.

The history log was wiped from thereafter. I could never see my wife having an affair but it began to eat at me thus l downloaded some spyware. The results stunned me as l found my wife was . I accessed emails and pics and found my wife had spent a weekend not with a friend but with a guy who she spent all weekend sleeping with. Explicit pics showed her being a total dirty slut and the guy was very well endowed and noticeably much thicker than I. He had also travelled and slept with her in our bed whilst l was on the conference.

I love her so much, I have forgiven her but the thought of it can’t make me go near her again.. I don’t know what to do, I am scared of starting over with another woman again or being alone

http://www.naijanewsrave.com/my-wife-slept-with-another-man-what-should-i-do/
I think the problem is your conception on forgiveness. Forgiveness means you stop talking and thinking of the wrong done you. Secondly forgiveness is of the heart same way love is, your head will try to picture the episode over and over but you heart has to tell your head that you have forgiven your wife.

Your wife is venerable after you caught her and a vacuum of guilt is needing filling, the question is are you going to fill it or are you going to allow her lover fill it?

If possible take sometime off work check you and your wife in a hotel outside town and talk about how you feel to her and ask questions about her affair, and her sexual disposition and most importantly forgive yourselves. You may be surprised that the whole affair was your fault, yes she had no moral right to cheat but you also had no moral right to starve her of attention and sex.
