FamilyRe: Is My Dad Right ? by GboyegaD(m): 6:03pm On Nov 18, 2022
It is your home and the respect your parents have for you will determine if they choose to like your wife or otherwise. If your parents realize it is your home, they sure wouldn't have a choice other than liking your wife however, they will surely tell you their reservations which is for you to think if it is worth considering or not.
FamilyRe: My Uncle's New Wife Is Controlling Him. How She Embarassed Me. by GboyegaD(m): 6:00pm On Nov 18, 2022
I am not sure she is the reason because your uncle is an adult and can reason for himself. Truth is there may be more to what you see, and I wouldn't encourage you to investigate what isn't your business. Your uncle is okay with her actions otherwise, he would have reacted.

You see as you stingy reach.why you no share the advice make younger guys wey no get uncles learn.
In summary, you can achieve whatever you set your mind on. As for your parents, it might seem they are harsh and do not care about your feelings, they are only doing in their way what they think is best to guide your feeble heart. Some mistakes are best avoided and in all you do, remember the world is looking up to you. Also, in my final year, he told me not to rush to pick any job as once I start working, no one would try to help get me into a good place and if the pay is bad, I will be frustrated by month end when my various cousins look up to me. He said, "it is better you are not working and we all give you money by month end than you are working and squeezing face when your younger ones and cousins come to you."

In essence, it is what we all know, I think the difference was the fact that he made me see it in a better light. And since then, I had a steady N5k extra every month from him to add to my monthly allowance from my parents alongside my undergraduate Oil and Gas scholarship.

Who knows that may be because he has been giving signs for long that didn't pass the message enough so he decided to speak in the language that even a 2 year old can understand
It still doesn't make it right. When a child acts like one, an adult should act like an adult.

The senior bank executive that resigned to go and be cleaning oyinbo yansh in the UK, is probably one of the most foolish human being I have ever read about. Trust me that person is regretting that move despite any claims to the contrary, shows that despite the education and exposure the average African have been brainwashed beyond redemption.
Why not think for yourself instead of concluding for others?

Big name there was never a reason for migration if it isn’t about educating you and not enslaving you.

All other countries became a better place by migrating to be enlightened and coming back to build its economic value. And that’s what every human is, an economic value.

Imagine having over 30million Nigerians in diaspora (having super sanity and perfect mentality) not willing to come back because Boko haram is being funded by the countries housing these our diaspora people dem, Na reverse dey wound us back to back.
Where did you get your statistics from?

I know a lawyer here who had 4 cars and sold all his cars and relocated to the States. 10yrs after ,a friend who met him there said he is now a taxi driver. No be juju be that. He met him, infact,he was the driver that took him to his destination. His wife left him with the kids. He said the man told him that he is ashame to return to Nigeria
Na lie except he isn't diligent at his job. An average taxi driver makes good money weekly. It is likely the person who narrated the story tried sizing up the guy and had to find gory tales to keep you where you are.

This is the hypocrisy I am talking about. SEGUN AGBAJE studied in the US and WORKED THERE before relocating to Nigeria. Segun Agbaje is a dual citizen, if you like follow him.

He is a bloody hypocrite! He has not condemned the senseless killing of farmers in the country but opens his mouth waaaa to chant opportunities!
It is the oppressive mentality we have in Nigeria. Don't blame him, blame those who take him serious. Migration is a part of life and whoever doesn't believe it should leave it. We all complain about Indians making exploits, are they making it in their land or elsewhere?

He's forgotten the rot in the corporate world. In the past within 8-10 years in the bank, you become a Manager. Now, there are people with 15years who are far from becoming managers due to many new levels introduced and the banks not doing real banking thus, no real sector growth in the economy.
Same applies to the big 4 where now it takes 15-18 years to becoming a partner from 12years.
Worst is the drought in entry level position and the restrictions against many people in the few that are.

My brother being an uncle does not prevent a mean man from showcasing his character..OP totally missed the signs in my opinion

If I was to be in OP's shoes, I will never go there except on a life and death situation... I won't even drink water there again... I will take my own water bottle to avoid finishing their water during such invite..
I understand your point of view but there are better ways an uncle can talk to a nephew. I once had an encounter with an uncle on something not related however, he embarrassed me in the presence of my friends. I haven't seen him since then however, we had a telephone conversation last year because the son had a baby and I had to call in on the day of christening and he was there.

Everyone should always remember every man has an ego.

Yes, this is the best comment. Your sisters son, your children's nephew. That was way too condescending.

The uncle could have discussed with his wife and she would stylishly deny him food.
I am sure the guy wouldn't be less than 16 and to some extent, he's grown and reasonable. The uncle could even have discussion with him as a man. I have an uncle I respect till tomorrow because at some point during my teenage years when I was acting my normal teenager who is an undergrad, he had to invite me to his office so that we could have real talks. I did not cry but I did appreciate the words of advice. Did I apply everything, NO but the ones that resonated with me, really helped me in making my choices.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Lands In Imo For Meeting With The Private Sector (Photos) by GboyegaD(m): 3:46pm On Nov 17, 2022
FreeStuffsNG:
Asiwaju lokan! His feet always bring good tidings. With love from Lagos to our brothers and sisters in Imo.

So who is Asiwaju Tinubu to a True Lagosian like me?

Spare me few minutes to tell you how blessed we are in Lagos to have Sen Bola Tinubu as our Asiwaju in Lagos . Charity begins at home and Asiwaju Tinubu is a true Omoluabi.

Just to be clear, Asiwaju was my Senator in 1992 but I will only cite few of his stewardship I can recall now. So those I listed below is not exhaustive

As the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu recovered what is now called Eko Atlantic from the raging Atlantic ocean Lagos Bar beach coast line flooding (for decades that problem even some of the more developed nations explain away as climate change problems) defied all solutions by FG and the highbrow strategic Victoria Island was deteriorating fast with businesses, embassies, hotels etc exiting VI in droves. During that time, the Atlantic ocean flooding reach the fringes of Ozumba after the flood completely take over Adetokunbo Ademola. Lagos State Government under the brilliant , resourceful and hardworking Asiwaju Tinubu solved that herculean challenge and today, VI is back to its glory.

It was Asiwaju Tinubu that brought back the Lagos Central Business District and Broad street commercial nerve centre of Nigeria back to life after it was abandoned, it's Asiwaju Tinubu who built major roads from Oregun to Lawanson to Igando LASU to as far as Badagry etc.

Asiwaju Tinubu is the one who fixed the horrible waste problem we had in Lagos and that LASTMA and BRT you see were created by Asiwaju. Asiwaju Tinubu was the one who got Lagos State to be part of the owners of Econet and unlike Delta State where the shares were sold and funds pocketed, Lagos State Shares were warehoused with professional investors in the state investment agency called Ibile holdings.

Asiwaju Tinubu increased bursaries to students of Lagos State origin (NULASS) and made public schools free for all Lagosians regardless of your tribe, religion or political party affiliation after his administration had successfully returned missionary schools to their original owners( other states later copied Lagos) . It was during his tenure that Ikeja General Hospital became a teaching Hospital, upgraded most of the clinics to General Hospitals giving free health to the 5 years and below and Lagosians of 65 years and above age group. .

The fund that BRF used to quickly build infrastructures were the LGA funds withheld by Pa Obasanjo and despite that Asiwaju Tinubu never owed salaries.
When the purchase of FG refineries by Alhaji Dangote was cancelled by HE Yardua, Alhaji Aliko Dangote ran to Asiwaju Tinubu after most state governments and governors in the SS gave Dangote a cold shoulder. Today, through the assistance Asiwaju Tinubu gave Aliko Dangote, Dangote Refinery is taking off to help us stop the petrol subsidy killing our naira and public finances.

Asiwaju Tinubu is loyal to those who paid the ultimate price for our democracy and today heroes like Bagauda Kalto, Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Abraham Adesanya etc are immortalized in Lagos . One of the most memorable achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu for me was helping to stop the blood letting and recurring Hausa-Yoruba/OPC war in Idi Araba and Agege. Those hellish period of unrest defied even the effort of past military state administrators of Lagos but Asiwaju Tinubu was able to solve it.

That Lagos State Government civil service is regarded as the best in Nigeria is due to the hardwork Asiwaju Tinubu did to reform it, created Tutors-Generals offices, improved harmonized pay structure, best pension scheme for civil servants etc.
I can go on and on to educate you on the legacies of Asiwaju Tinubu still standing till today as my reasons for my confidence in Asiwaju Tinubu sir/ma
check my signature for free stuffs!
Apparently, you are a Wannabe Lagosian.

you need to start acting as a man,wtf man?your mother in-law shouldn't be calling the shots in your house in the first place, while you didn't have the courage to put the man in his place why won she humiliate you?step up man take charge of your family affairs,i cant believe what i just read, how dare you embarrass your self like that.why would i load my families luggage unto another mans car?to hell with being civil on this issue,it was wrong.
Different strokes for different folks. I wouldn't but some think it is the right thing to do culturally. If you are offering them a ride, you should load the vehicle with the goods. In addition, allowing the wife and kids go with the vehicle is the issue here. Most importantly, he should focus on his life and how he can get better economically.

While you were busy birthing kids like a rat and wallowing in poverty, young men your age are busy improving themselves and their circumstances ahead of marriage. Dont worry, soon your mother in law will arrange for the guy to meet your wife somewhere private and your wife's eyes will open to real "enjoyment". And the story will touch grin.

Better start thinking of how to improve yourself beyond living from hand to mouth. For instance, what do you plant in your farm? Is it at substance or commercial level? Are your crops/plants highly sort after? What else can you do? Etc. May God help you.....how much does it take to get a phone in naija? Christmas is coming, someone fit gift your wife o.....e fit be her dear mother that will gift her o.....e fit be someone will send the dear mother o.... grin
Why you dey mean to the young man like this na? He don wake up smell the coffee no add espresso join for am na.
How have you been?
FamilyRe: My Mother In Law Made Me CRY Like A Baby by GboyegaD(m): 6:13pm On Nov 16, 2022
This situation should challenge you to be better and give your children a better life and not trying to birth more children like you said in the past. You can express your disappointment to your wife first and notice her reaction. That will guide you on the best path to tow. In it all, if you sense your mother-in-law becoming a treat in your home, kindly send her back to her husband's house and do not allow her to destroy your home. I pray for wisdom in handling this for you.

What constitution states that a lady should be taken care of during courtship?
