The truth is when you put National interest first, this port was not necessary for Lagos state as at now, Lagos is very tight and congested causing a lot of pain and hardship on commuters with accidents of containers falling of trailers, this port would have been better utilised in other regions of the country in dire need of working ports to reduce the menace In Lagos and also open other regions to easy import and export.

It depends on the cue you look for. In all conversations/interrogations, there are suggestive cues to alert you if someone is truthful or not.

It's sad that southern Nigeria got to this. In every election cycle, candidates only put in efforts to win northern votes. It wasn't always like this. Buhari lost elections in the past even after winning the core north. Now we all accept that one must have the core north to win elections. Don't get me wrong, the northern votes are very important because all votes share equal value in an election. But Nigerians have unconsciously accepted that the north has the responsibility of deciding who our leader must be.

The northern rulers are taking advantage of it too. The other day, all the candidates where in Kaduna promising heaven on earth to the northerners. They all take the southern votes for granted because they'll get them anyway...

You must give it to these northerners. Even when they're not in power, they ensure they have a good control over whichever southerner becomes the president.

The South is very ignorant and we think we know too much when obviously we don't.

Should the food had been in the North, Atiku/Tinubu would have suspended their campaign because they value them but what do we have right now? Campaign is ongoing which should tell the South Tinubu/Atiku care more about the office than the people they want to govern. Horace, we have lost our reasoning ability a long time ago.

That's the right thing to do. The lives of the people should matter more than winning elections.

Boss , the emergence of Peter obi has changed the whole political calculation. the battle will be won in the north, now we have one candidate representing each region,Atiku for the north,tinubu for the west, and obi for the east. All Atiku needs to do now is to make sure he wins his region,the north is a one-way traffic engine, it is those in the south that think twice before voting, already many Yorubas will not vote for tinubu ,tinubu should even forget the east.
Ibos too will vote massively for obi. But there is no way PDP won't pick up votes in the west and east.
if it was northerner vs northerner, then maybe Atiku would have lost. the emergence of obi has broken the south for apc. people in the south would happily vote for either obi or Atiku, no one wants APC especially now that they have a dying candidate, if they had given the ticket to Osinbajo, then they would have had a very chance

I feel it is turn for the SE and what every party should have done is to let those from the region compete for the ticket. Whatever it is, I am just watching to see what Nigerians want in 2023.
