I think Nigerians in Asians are far more richer ...especially those In Japan, South Korea and Chinese these sets of Nigerians are core businessmen You can't compare a businessman with a man that is eating hourly wages Nigerians in China, Japan, South Korea or even Vietnam do more of business and are richer ! I know a guy in China that is always ringing his Chinese partners to Nigeria to do business and do importations....Just that Nigerians in these Asians countries don't make noise
A smart Nigerian will prefer Japanese ,North Korean visa to USA or UK cos of business opportunities these countries afford First, not everyone can be an entrepreneur as there are more employees than entrepreneurs in every part of the world. The US is the best place to thrive as a skilled black professional. Two, well, just as I am not too sure about Nigerians in the US being the wealthiest set of diasporans, you cannot be too sure with Nigerians in Asia being wealthier than their US' counterparts. But it is an interesting area to study. However, I want to bet that those in Asia are richer than those in Europe. |

There is a native black population in the US our people can immerse in such that they feel comfortable living in the US for generations to come without ever thinking of returning to Nigeria. Sucking the life blood out of these poor African countries while giving little or nothing in return. That has been the nature of the relationship between African countries and Europe/US from the very beginning.
Why didn't the US employ the same doctrine of "strategic objectives" when dealing with European countries and Israel? The US spent billions in rebuilding Europe after the devastating war started by European themselves. They created military alliance and spent trillions defending Europe from themselves. They do the same with Israel, spending billions of dollars protecting Israel and helping their economy. But when it comes to Africans countries they remember the doctrine of strategic objectives. Also, they spent money supporting Japan and South Korea. But they don't offer the same treatment to the Philippines. The way out is for us to be good negotiators. If the Russians cannot fulfil their side of the bargain, they get shown the exit door. How would the French say they are fighting against Islamists in the Sahel, YET they have not succeeded? At least, if these guys can defeat those Islamists once and for all, their farmers would cultivate in peace compared to Nigeria. |

sonnie10: When you say a man, I want to believe you mean those between 25- 35 years. The prime of marriageable age. For a man, lot of factors come into play when it comes to preparing to settle down, most of which would counter the other. Let’s look at just 3 aspects, Finance, education and Job. I will leave the moral and physical aspect because they are highly individualized. Education: A good education takes time and dedication. A man determined to do well won’t have the time for such relationship. All his energy and resources are dedicated to this course.
Job : Except you are highly connected or favored, getting a good job right out of school is not easy. A few that make it at that point are not really or immediately financially stable. At that point, their focus is on learning this new job environment and requirements.
Finance: This one is the real determinant of a guys stability. The lack of it transcends other areas . Building financial stability is a marathon not a race. At age 25-30, a young man is still learning the ropes, figuring out the paths to stability. Saving and investment is the goal when the money start coming in. They might not be considered attractive , especially when they are not living the lavish life style that most desire .
These is why you would hear that to be a man is not days job. No benefit of being a man. Being a man is a hard job! Sometimes, I look at myself and its history and ask: what if I did not have my parents to provide for me? Nna mehn. |

This thread reminds me of my comment on another thread which stated that marriage benefits women more than men. Apparently, judging from your sister's friend and her response. it does: Gerrard59: Well, the OP is largely correct as modern-day women are still hypergamous even though they now earn good money and have greater freedoms. The benefits most men would get have been reduced, with nothing to replace those lost benefits. You compete with women in the same school admissions and labour market, etc. There are some industries and roles men cannot even break into simply because women have occupied everywhere. So, women have reaped these benefits WHILE maintaining hypergamy - where as the man, you still have to be at the top of your game financially and societal status.
One would then ask himself, what is the benefit of being a man? Only wealthy men benefit from being men; other men don't share whatever so-called patriarchal benefits feminazis claim male folks enjoy.
In conclusion, the only benefit men derive from marriage is having children within a two-parent household, as wedlock does more harm to both genders and the greater society. Also, having children from different women whom you as the man are not married to is absolutely nonsensical and financially draining. No one should mention sex, as many married men don't even get sex from their wives, and when they do, it is timetable-based. Who makes this timetable? The woman. The reason married men patronise sex workers more than even single men, and I am willing to bet that sexually active married men get less sex while being married than single men who are equally sexually active.
So, where is the benefit? |

Negroid001: Me and my younger sister were having our usual afternoon gossips and gists and something came up. I asked after a close friend of hers whom i know to be very affluent and she erupted that i should stop asking after her that she doesn't As a man, I've set the standard of not getting involved with women below my economic class or earnings and i see nothing wrong with it. If women see marrying above one's class as normal, we men shouldn't accept anyone below par also.
Let's stop fooling ourselves with love shi. Marriages and relationships are transactional. It's an arrangement and one has to make the best of choices. What are you bringing to the table? Men, raise your standards! Well, at the end of the day, you would still marry a woman who earns less than you. That is the truth, especially for Nigerian men who are antsy about their wives out-earning them. It is hypergamy women always aspire to men higher than they (women). It is evolutionary and biologically. Heck, it is even economical, if not for gender equality which has reduced the number of jobs available to men. However, where you come top is when you get women interested in you as you earn well. You would be accused of cheating by your wife or serious girlfriend, but to me, you are merely exercising your options. As long as you provide for the family and don't carry diseases to madam, I say go ahead. You are enjoying your prime, just as she had hers. Life na turn by turn. P.S. My sister has told me the same and I laughed it off. Women are the same everywhere. In fact, Nigerian women's hypergamy is small. Swiss and Chinese Singaporean women's hypergamy are off the roof. |
Family › Re: Do not get deceived. Most Nigerian ladies are into Prostitution! by Gerrard59(m): 1:11pm On Apr 20, 2024 |
yemmit90: Naturally, women determine who to have sex with, that is why we called forceful sex a rape. That says, men don't have power to decide who to have sex with withiout approval of women. If women don't approve, men will back off because failure to do so will land them in trouble. Besides, men don't have natural ability to resist sexual advance when they are in the mood.
So, if women dont go into prostitution, men will only try to win their hearts with love/materials items and not casually offer money to take them to bed.
Women are the real culprits. Not the first time I see this line of argument. Here is your answer: If there is real discipline among the girls they will never accept any money for sex. Please understand that sex work is a business. If Girl A declines to sell, Girl B would agree. It is economics, not emotions. It is business. Na una still dey see am as mere sex. Gerrard59: I beg to disagree. It is men because men are the ones demanding for sex. No woman goes to force a man to sleep with her. It is men who seek out to get women. It is a global phenomenon which I illustrated. It is the reason governments cannot outlaw sex services. My stance is these men who wail daily to know that it is their fellow men, rich men, that fuel this demand. Women on their own don't like to fvck random men. It is biological as they are demisexual, but when there is an enormous demand for a service which only you can provide, economics says offer it provided it is legal.
If more men adopt this stance, the supply of women doing hookups will plummet. It is that simple. But as long as there are men who fork out 80K for sexual service rising, these women will continue to be in the business.
It is not the same dynamics because in all cases, economics trumps emotions. Australian politicians don't like Chinese politicians, but because their farmers have to sell their crop produce to China (a major consumer), they are appeasing the Chinese. I don't have to like you before I sell something to you. It is business. If I don't like him, but he offers good money, why not take it? It is the reason people study hard to get into tech. They don't like tech, but because it pays better than other professions, they learn it. Should the salaries of tech workers plummet to that of say teachers, nobody will want to enter the industry.
First, apple-to-oranges. The government can argue that there are alternatives to use, even though they might not be abundant or safe. In hookup's case, there is no natural alternative for a man who wants to fvck. In developed countries, there are suitable alternatives for those who don't have cars or want to drive, and they use them. Should keke become available in Tokyo, no one will use it because trains are ubiquitous and cheaper. Let there be a vast train network in Lagos, I bet you, no one will use an Okada. In return, Okadas will cease to exist. But Nigerian governments being who they are, put the cart before the horse.
Again, I disagree. The women don't sleep with themselves or ghosts. They sleep with fellow men like you and I. Also, I am not arguing it should stop because it cannot due to testosterone. I am not that idealistic. The average man globally likes to fvck.
I mentioned this - reduce poverty rates in Nigeria and most women will see reasons not to engage in hookup because there are plentiful alternatives to earning good money. Remember, they are demisexual. So an opportunity has been made available. Also, to create a functioning society depends on the men in that society, not the women. It is you who stated that "men create the society and women integrate into it". |
