Ilekokonit:Has to be oil and gas. That is the only industry right from the '90s that can give someone so much money and confidence to fork out £5K to an escort as a Nigerian who made his money from Nigeria. Private equity or investment banking or tech no fit do that one. No wonder women look down on guys on modest salaries when these money miss roads are spending money on them as if it is water. Those young men who spend money so that these women like them are foolish. No genuine desire, no expenditure. No money spent on the man by the woman, no relationship. |
lastkingsman:Any country with a strong research culture and array of good universities. There are too many options available regardless of background, but more so in sciences, for anyone to pay for a PhD. Drezinc:You have been given a bed to proceed with, yet you still request for pillow. No be so abroad be like o. No one gives or tells you everything. You have to do your research. |
canada123:That is a combination made in heaven. I sympathise with you man. E no dey easy. ![]() |
AntiZikist:And Akwa Ibom, too. Obong Victor Attah, an Ibibio man. Akpabio, an Annang man. I expected an Oro man to complete it, but nah, it went to another Ibibio man - Udom - although in the right senatorial district. Now, another Ibibio man is there - Umo Eno. Numerical supremacy of the Ibibios, just like the Igboid groups in Rivers state. Numbers mean a lot in every election. |
canada123:You are a rich man o. You need strong therapy and spiritual prayers as backup. Very strong one. I recommend Mountain of Fire Ministries. Go to the headquarters o. But sorry to inform you, you won't get regular sex from your wife, especially after childbirth and above two children. canada123:Which means you don't have a girlfriend in Canada. The question is: why? Since being in a committed relationship will reduce your "going outside" to satisfy yourself. |
canada123:LOL! As someone whose parents owns hotels, I laughed when I read that line. It is not possible. In fact, the major patrons of sex workers are MARRIED MEN. Yes, married men. Unfortunately, there is no data yet, but I want to bet sexually active bachelors have sexual intercourse more regularly than their married counterparts. Marriage doesn't guarantee constant sex. If God wants to punish you, you get married to one of those Twitter feminazis who will accuse you of marital rape kini kon and you get exposed by their goodness Uju Anya and Co. Canada has in abundance of such women. ![]() Bants aside, marriage does not guarantee frequent sex. Your wife will deny you sex several times thus leading to frustration on your side. See the lamentations of fellow Nairalanders: https://www.nairaland.com/6888695/dear-married-men-how-cope My advice? You need therapy or strong spiritual prayer to let go of this addiction. Then, redirect your energies to other activities such as your popular sport, travelling, reading, learning a new language, starting a business, investing etc. There are more than a thousand activities to indulge in which are mentally stimulating and even though might be expensive, they have a high return oin investment. Having sex with different women - different yansh shapes and breast sizes - is sweet as a man due to testosterone, but the ROI is low. That has been my issue with brosititution. |
No wonder Disstroy said all na performative activists. Every man for him belly. ![]() So based on this, Asue is Esan, am I correct? Where Olumide come from then? I guess one thing elites in Delta got right was sticking to the gentleman agreement by sharing power across the major ethnicities in the state. Unfortunately, that has not translated into development. But the rancour is less than Edo. Good luck to those involved. |
I watched the video on YabaLeftOnline and was slightgly shocked, especially at her confidence and insistence. She no say Nigerian men no too get money like that? Has she forgetttne the country that she is in? You see, these are the media content young men watch from their female contemporaries - implying that they (young men) don't deserve sex or love because they don't have money. But tomorrow, the same female contemporaries, when over 30 and are wives would then demand for the same men to be faithful and keep to one woman even after toiling to make "50M naira". Another reason I don't castigate men who "cheat" on their wives/partners. I believe a financially comfortable man has earned the right to "cheat". It is his choice to exercise that right or not. Any woman who doesn't like it has three options; - Marry a woman - Marry a man who is struggling financially - Remain single. The right to choose, not the right to dictate. |
Eunoiaa:Na the hypocrisy wey dey this world. In a country where sexual liberty is mocked at or frowned upon, it is expected that the women will charge or bill for access to their vaginas. Maybe if the country was as liberal as Southern African or Caribbean countries, but cultures and traditions no go gree. However, we cannot have it both ways - ease of having sex while slut-shaming the women. |
Then, she should date British men since she is culturally British. The Nigerian environment doesn't condone/forgive a man for being vulnerable. Become vulnerable, and that would be the stage of "see finish". Besides, men are not biologically supposed to be vulnerable (whatever she meant by that term). |
lastkingsman:Anyone who pays tuition fees for the bold needs to have his/her brain examined. The introduction was for MSc courses. saintkeppy:To me, it is not bad provided it is a STEM course, especially the one Eastern Europeans are good at (hardcore maths and physics). Whether a country is good depends on the person and priorities. |
drimzsmoke:Not surprised by the contents of that book. Testosterone - what makes a man who he is - fuels the desire to have sex with as many women as possible. Please, what is the name of the book? |
Sukovick:Not all studies route means study at a university. If you can afford 3 million yen as tuition fees and living expenses, I strongly recommend you apply to a Japanese language school, preferably outside the Kanto and Kansai regions. Once you enter and learn the language, you can then apply to technical colleges in Japan. There are scholarships to study there. Also, there are plenty of such jobs, but Japanese proficiency is mandatory. It is why you have to go through language school. Vietnamese, Chinese and Nepalese dominate those sectors as the Japanese government gives them preferential treatment. Don't worry about part-time jobs, there are a dime and a dozen. The aim is to pay the first year's tuition at the language school and provide hard evidence of being able to cater for living expenses (the reason you should avoid Kanto and Kansai regions). P.S. To qualify for entry to language schools as a fresh learner of Japanese, you must be below 30 years old. Two, it is your responsibility to search for the requirements of each language school. Please, don't ask me "What is Kanto region?" or "Which school do you recommend?" |
Pristine664:You mean when the economy was growing well, and the unemployment was low? You mean when the subsidy was to be removed (at the right time), but your ret@rds at APC kicked against it and shouted with their smelly mouths, "that there is nothing like subsidy"? If Nigeria was terribly bad 10 - 15 years ago, how come Buhari and Tinubu could not make it better rather than worse? P.S. I am not an Obidient as I knew he would not have won the election. |
Pristine664:Agbadorians and being mendacious. So, if there was nothing special about her, how come successive finance ministers couldn't improve the economy, fiscal and monetary, better than she did? |
ddippset:Nigeria was the sixth fastest-growing economy in the world when GEJ left office. Our debts were low, and NOI initiated policies to save money from crude oil sales, but Fashola, Amaechi and fogly-looking Oshiomole objected by screaming, "share the money". NOI and even Sanusi cried that subsidy should be removed, but APC (then ACN & CPC) countered it by organising "Occupy Nigeria" protests. The unemployment rate was remarkably low. Nigerians were returning enmass from the UK to find jobs. Nigerian students who studied in the UK didn't bother to work there as most GLADLY returned after their studies. There was nothing like POF because any bloke could afford his/her studies. Nigerians rarely went with their families to study in the UK, not today, where the ratio of dependants is 1:1. It is only Agbadorians who will deny that GEJ had a fruitful and prosperous economy than their incompetent leader, Buhari, who they gladly campaigned for and voted for in 2015. Gerrard59: |
Biggie225:Pinnacle in terms of birthing the next generation. That is why countries protect children and women FIRST before men during perilous times. Women contributed alot to what we are facing today in Nigeria.Big Fat Lie! Nigerian men wrecked the country. In cases where women "contributed", they learnt it from the men and even had male accomplices. Men build a country. Women follow their lead. Developed countries don't joke with their women.Reason is because they know what women brings to the society.Actually, a country can "joke" with their women as long as there is no war. However, developed countries were built and maintained by its men. In fact, the same UAE you applaud, how many times do you see their women in events and making public statements? Their women are seldom heard, but rarely seen. How many times you don see a foreign man touch an Emirati woman in such a manner? How many Emirati women do you know who heads a global organisation or work at a global level as NOI? Finally, Mr Biggie, I dare you, mention ONE developed country where women were at the forefront of its development, and I will deactivate this account of mine. Just ONE country, please. P.S.: No be today this debate has been held, it haff tey: https://www.nairaland.com/6643241/nigerian-men-failed-women |
saintkeppy:Poland is not bad, both as an EU member, strength of passport or economy. However, the ease of being issued the visa presently as a Nigerian is what my post is interested in. See the thread on Nairaland: https://www.nairaland.com/2272115/polish-student-visa/564 At a point last year, people were lamenting that they could not get visa appointments or even their relatives could not get issued a visa to attend their graduate ceremonies. As for Norway, ever since the tuition-free system was cancelled, it is a no-go zone as that country is prohibitely expensive. cc: Sweetvie |
saintkeppy:For unsuspecting readers, before you begin your japa plans. read through the threads of your interested countries and ask hard questions to know how it is to obtain a student visa, jobs and study there. It is extremely important. This would guide your way through. I was admitted into the University of Tartu, Estonia and with a scholarship, but declined the offer as there was no embassy in Nigeria, and applications had to be made from either Egypt or the UAE (the closest). From the Estonian thread, the total cost was a million naira (before COVID) to travel there and apply for the visa. I declined because the chances of being issued the visa to either Egypt or the UAE (tourist visa o) were low. Rather than spend such, I paid 150K as application fee to apply to another Japanese university. In summary, Poland is unrealistic as there is almost a zero chance of being issued a student's visa. Polish universities now steer clear from Nigerian students because almost none of the accepted students gets issued a visa. |
Vikalinda:So, the seller shouldn't have capital and eke a profit to purchase the next stock? The seller would not pay rent and staff? Who do Nigerians this thing of not understanding elementary economics for crying out loud?! |
Judolisco:Which means Nigeria is rich, ba? Could you please explain how Nigeria is rich? |
shepherd316:You mean the same ENDSARS where Igbos were accused of burning and ransacking the Oba of Lagos Palace? The same Igbos who were wrongly accused of "burning Lagos"? You suddenly want the "flat heads" to participate in the protests, yet you term the same people "my brothers"? Anyway, I am not surprised by the tribalism as humans are tribal. Just that when poor people are tribalistic, it looks disgusting to me. Nevertheless, I am glad Igbos, especially young ones and even woke ones, finally understand Nigeria for what it is RATHER than what they foolishly thought it was by staying off any protest. |
goodman023:For Nigerians, it is relatively easy to move from OPT to PR. The issue is getting a firm that would employ one on that visa. Some industries are now hard to enter because employers prefer PRs or citizens. And with the massive layoffs across many industries, there are more experienced Americans in the labour pool who are willing to accept lower salaries. It is only logical for firms to employ them as they have no baggage whatsoever and possess superior experience and education. |
flokii:Interesting to know that you did not blame Igbos this time. I wondered what changed. |
kikake:Good a thing there are people who know the genesis of Nigeria's present economic problems. And yes, it is painful that others suffer as a result of other Nigerians decisions. |
Meti99:Please mention ONE country where the government did the same thing you listed and what were the outcomes? Just ONE country, please. |
Just to add; - China has waived off 99% tariffs on agricultural products exported to the country from Africa. I did not see Nigeria being listed as one of such, but quite a handful of East and Southern African countries were mentioned as beneficiaries. So, as we can see, that is a market to cater to since the Europeans have closed theirs to African producers. They even do the same to their cousins in South America. Then, na we go gain access? Brazil eclipsed the US as the biggest soybean exporter to the US. South Africa exports a lot of wine and avocados to China. - It behooves on Africans, especially those in developed countries to put their money where their mouth is by moving to the continent to start businesses, which will transform the continent. Expecting foreigners, especially those who aren't blacks, to develop the continent is foolhardy. No one will develop your place, even when theirs is developed. It is the moral and economic duty of Africans to develop Africa. So, no point sitting in the abroad lamenting kini kon. An instance is cashew nuts: the major exporters in the raw form are African countries. However, the major exporters of the processed form are India and Vietnam. Who dominates the field of exporting cashew in its raw form from Africa? Indians and Vietnamese. Do you expect them to process those jobs in Ivory Coast while their people need those jobs in Hanoi and Mumbai? No. Question is: why cannot native Ivoriens in France and Belgium use the knowledge obtained while working in Paris and Ghent to start businesses to source and process these nuts before exporting them to richer countries? |
macklef:There is this belief that the route to work authorisation into the US labour market is straightforward and automatic just because one studied at and graduated from an institution in the US. That belief is entirely false. It is not automatic neither is it straightforward. The aim is to gain work authorisation into the US labour market, which is what the NIW is for. It is your responsibility to go through its requirements. Moving from the UK as a FOREIGN graduate to work in the US is the same if you were in Nigeria and the same for British citizens. There is no automatic route. The NIW is the preferred route. It might be faster in the UK, but the process is the same. |
ednut1:If so, it is possible, especially as there are many of such jobs in the US. Kudos to them for their sheer grit, notwithstanding the illegality. |
OkanlawonB:Doing well for themselves in non-black dominated societies. Why not in black-dominated regions? Which black-dominated country with a population of at least 5 million people is functioning and prosperous? Individually, there are black folks doing well, but collectively? No. As long as sub-Saharan Africa is what it is, the black man has failed, and woefully at that. |
goodman023:Sorry, but this is not feasible or even advisable for the US. POF rarely works in the US because where would you work as a part-time student to raise money for other expenses? If folks in the UK are finding it difficult to get student part-time jobs, how much more the US? |
goodman023:If your sponsors aren't very rich, it is pointless to study in the US. Better seek full funding from the department. Alternatively, if you have a BSc and five year work experience or BSc&MSc, apply for NIW. Studying in the US doesn't translate to the right to work in the country as that route is lottery dependent. Your target should be to gain the right to work in the US rather than study. Once that right is achieved, you play the long game to permanent residency and eventual citizenship. |
