Gd morning to you all,

This post was inspired by a guy a quoted on a thread. He was complaining about spending all his morning yesterday celebrating val and now he is broke.

Now to the issue at hand, does anyone else see d deception in all this days dat have been set up and hyped by retailers to offload their cheap wares on unsuspecting customers.

Did any of u even remember or know why or what valentine is all about while u were busy galavanting yesterday?

But u have managed to let ursef be manipulated into this spending spree dat u can hardly afford.

Pls let's receive sense this 2016, if a girl or guy leaves u be cos u did not spend on them for val, then it's good ridiance to bad rubbish.

And this includes Xmas, mothers day, etc. Don't put urselves in tight corners be cos some over zealous person decides u need to buy this or dat on a particular day.

My kids know everyday is Xmas, vals day mothers day etc in my home. I am under no pressure to buy some plastic racing car or barbie doll that will be used as a weapon wen they start fighting.

Dat dont mean i dont spend on them. We have a 3day
Holiday booked this week so they can experience boat riding , we have a 10day holiday book for Spain in April, I can afford all these be cos I have saved by not being used by retailers all year round.

Hope dis helps to reset someone's mentality on this issue.

Stay blessed.
wallaihi e remain small make u make sense. Even though i had to spend 12,000 naira out of d 21,000 in my acct, i tell u it worth it as long as it makes her happy.
And for d record, every minute with her was worth it.

CareerRe: Female Molestation In One Of The Big Companies In Lagos. Must Read by ghostwritter(m): 1:59pm On Feb 01, 2016
Vikkiboi:
This is not a fabricated story at all.

This is a true life story and someone is in a very tight situation and your comments, opinions and suggestion is highly welcomed.

A friend of mine started a 6 month I.T with a major company in lagos 3 months ago.

The company is one of the big fish in the country, I won't be wrong if I rate them as 'Big 3' in this country.

Everything was going quite fine for her until last week, friday to be precise when the unthinkable happened.

A boss in another department asked her to do something for him in which she did, she was later summoned by him to his office and the drama started.

He closed the door and came so close to her asking her to go out with him. Mind you, the boss is in his early 50.

After saying no to his request, he tried using a blank cheque and money to entice her.

When all these didn't work, he tried using force on her, his Manhood was already up and ready for some action.

He started touching her, struggling so hard with her, and it was almost leading to rape

As soon as she noticed there was nothing she could do at that moment since he was stronger, she request that they should go out and not do such in the office. The boss agreed and opened the door and told her to wait at d car park for his driver.

She just ran out of the office and went to somewhere he can't find her that day.

The boss later came to her office looking for her and told everyone he wants to send her on an errand.

After ignoring his calls, she got back to d office to hear d report of the boss looking for her...

Just got report that he has also been to her office this morning to look for her and he has called also.

Married man for that matter! What is happening to guys these days?

Ladies are suffering sha

What do you think is the best thing to do in this situation?

Please I need your suggestion.
wish i have a sexy female boss to do this to me....oh i wish.

This post is directed mostly at newbies on Nairaland.

For education purpose only.

Feel free to post a review/addition/correction etc.

1. NL abb. for Nairaland

2. NLer abb. for Nairalander. A member of the forum.

3. mods ➡ short for 'moderators'. Coordinate the activities of each section of the forum. Ensure orderliness and strict observance of rules by members.

4. Supermods ➡ short for 'supermoderators'. Mostly responsible for pushing post to the frontpage. Also hand out ban to defaulters. e.g. when you see lalasticlala, he's one.

5. Op abb. for 'opener of post'? refers to a member that opens a particular topic.

6. MT ➡ short for 'mention'. This shows when a member's moniker is mentioned in a post, or a post by a member is quoted.

7. L&S abb. for 'likes and shares'. Indicates your likes and shares for a post.

8. New ➡ This shows topics newly posted. Arranged in chronological order. If you want to be first to comment on a post, bookmark this page. grin

9. Recent ➡ This shows topics recently posted on different sections.

10. Trending ➡ This is like a 'second' frontpage. Whenever you get bored with the frontpage, this is a sure place to find exciting topics.

11. Fp ➡ short for frontpage. This is the first topic board (Homepage) you see immediately you enter the site.

12. Moniker ➡ (lol! sounds like 'monica'). This is simply another word for 'username'. It's a slang for nickname.

13. dp ➡ short for 'display picture'.

14. guest ➡ an unregistered member who is visiting the forum. Or a registered member who is yet to login.

15. pm ➡ short for 'private message'. Similar to dm (direct message) on twitter, only messages are sent to the email with which you register on the forum.

16. FTC abb. for 'first to comment'. it is said that members get excited when they are first to comment on a post. Reason for this is still not clear tho. Many believed it has to do with the number of likes & shares associated with first post on a topic.

17. Endtime slang used to describe a weird stuff. Even though the word itself is a/an noun/adverb. NLers somehow convert it to an adjective. e.g. an endtime topic. The slang was believed to be first used by a NLer called lasisi69. Tho this has not been verified.

18. ban ➡ This occurs when a member breaks certain forum rules. He/She will not be able to reply to a post or create a topic for the period of the ban. Ban duration can be from few hours to few days, depending on the nature of the offence.

19. Seun ➡ This is the moniker of the NL owner - Oluwaseun Osewa. He also serves as a supermod atimes when he's less occupied. You can call him the 'general overseer' (Daddy GO) of Nairaland••• grin

20. This list is not exhaustive... please feel free to add yours.

kelklein!
when a NLder quote a very long post, then u ar to say 'OTD' (Ori e Ti Daru) or u politely say 'B2BE' (Back 2 Back e-diot).
EducationRe: Things Life Will Teach Every Guy When He Leaves Campus by ghostwritter(m): 12:50am On Jan 09, 2016
Rapmoney:
So many undergraduates, including those in their final year in school erroneously think that life on campus and life outside campus are same thing. Far from it!!! Life outside campus could just be a sharp contrast to life on campus cool Foresight is better than hindsight...as Book of Proverbs says in the Holy Book, 'A wise man sees trouble on the way and hides himself but the foolish man sees it and walks into it'. The wise man will surely learn by foresight while the foolish man learns by hindsight...after he has entagled himself wink

Below are things life will teach you when you expire from the campus grin grin

1) Life will teach you that creating a romantic relationship with a responsible lady is no longer based on your looks or swaggz but how stable you are financially, emotionally and religiously wink In school, you had it easy in getting Kemi to fall over you, abi? huh You should even think like a grown man before you leave that Ivory Tower!

2) Life will teach you that it is good to work hard to get good grades but not putting all your hopes on degrees and being enterprising and creative is excellent!!! cheesy

3) Life will teach you that you should have the fun while it lasts but don't waste your precious time and future banking on relationships that might not see the light of the day after campus!

4) Life will teach you that those people you and your crew were referring to as 'dull and a nobody' might be very intelligent without you knowing. Don't be surprise when you see them in later years in enviable positions in their respective careers! The Ukwuani people of Delta State say, 'Chiosa'...it means that destinies differ! Just because you are close to some corrupt lecturers and they give out marks to you doesn't mean you should look down on everyone!!!

5) Life will teach you that your parents did a lot for you by sending you to school. If you allow heavy hips and water-melonic boobs (Abeg, whatever that means) to confuse, distract and mesmerize you, you are on your own grin To see a child through higher institution in Nigeria today nor be bread and Akara o! If na lie I lie, go ask your palee for house! grin

6) Life will teach you that you should never have compared your life with that of the female. They are and will always be ahead of you in emotional maturity! They might get married before you even think of rounding off your Youth Service Scheme!!! grin

7) Life will teach you that life, itself, has changed! grin If you feel you have been a salary earner by deceiving your parents for money back home with cooked-up stories, only to waste it on fruitless things, you will surely get the message vividly when you discover that the cash doesn't come again. You'd need to get up and do something.

8. Life will teach you that you dated some nice girls who you would want for a wife ...you just couldn't help losing them but you did because they are always readily available to be taken far more than you cheesy

You can add yours...

Good evening everyone!!!
Jeez!! Can't believe u forgot d most common part.
Life will teach u that swaggz don't pay the bills and that expensive phones are highly unneccessary.
I'm presently passing through same scenerio, I av got to work extra hard just to foot my bills in life.

(school politics was all war then) chai!, how time flies.

CelebritiesRe: Artistes Don Jazzy Dispute Ruined Their Career by ghostwritter(m): 3:51pm On Jan 02, 2016
Truth234:
Ikechukwu
Top on the list is Ikechukwu, when he had misunderstanding with the now Mavin boss that caused him a album deal after his hit song, Now is the time feat. Don Jazzy himself. According to Vanguard publication on October 21, 2011 "we had a few misunderstanding along the line and called off the album deal". Baba provoke, who dare the Don, those abs aren’t nothing.

Duncan Mighty
Duncan Mighty the king of South, Port-Harcourt first son, is another notable artist that the Mavin boss refused to sign because he jumpstart, announced the supposed deal before the boss himself, such action is punishable under the Don's rules. Baba J tear agreement paper immediately.

"We had a meeting and I wanted to sign him or do a promotion deal with him. And since he’s also a producer, maybe he’ll be as a sort of co-producer for my label to help reduce some work load. But now, the same thing that happened with Terry G at some point happened.", said Don Jazzy.

He further explained that "Because if it’s Mo’hits Records, everybody gets excited. We haven’t signed any deal and he went ahead to tell people that he’s been signed to Mo’Hits. I was in America when I read on the internet that Duncan Mighty has been signed to Mo’Hits Records".

In Mavin, people don't get excited until the boss says so. I mean how could Duncan Mighty, he is dealing with Don Jazzy mehn.

Terry G
Terry G situation was a perfect example of over excitement when he announced a deal before the boss, Don don't spare such act. Baba J cancel deal straight, even mentioned it in an interview. Untouchable Don Jazzy I salute.

Here is a link to Don Jazzy interview with Vanguard in 2011
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/10/why-i-cancelled-ikechukwu-duncan-mighty-deal-%E2%80%93-don-jazzy/

Dbanj
The biggest of them all is Dbanj, Eja Nla but not when the boss, Don Jazzy felt his partner not a signed artist oh was out shining him, a producer. Even though Dbanj was the one that elevated him to the Don status he now enjoy. He pulled the plug on him when he least expected, eja nla run from pillar to post, hehe, Don don’t renege or bargain, not even refund, every sales is final. The rest is history as we all know how Dbanj is now fighting for his career, let’s hope he wins this fight.

Wande Coal
Wande Coal is another amazing talent that crossed the boss path, a seemly smart artist that the boss thought he was a kid and could easily be put to rest with few tweets but mehn that guy talent is so huge that is light won't go off, though he is still fighting his own battle with his career after the boss called him out on twitter.

Olamide, Not ruined but fresh

The hottest of the hoties, Olamide, Baddo, Eyan Mayweather awon ti 50 cent sneh and Don Jazzy issue started when Olamide felt insulted when one of his artists, Lil Kesh, nominated for Headies next rated award failed to win but Don Jazzy up coming art, Reekado Bankz was awarded. Action Olamide deem fit to address (without mentioning Don baba) but Don won’t have non of those diplomatic nonsense, grab the mic called out Olamide on stage to come and take the car meant for the winner. Baba reiterated how big he is in case that street boy called Olamide has forgotten his place. Baba J said he can afford to buy another car for his artist. Hehe, that street boy called Olamide has been jumping up and down on twitter since then, insisting he is no Dbanj.

We are yet to see how this will play out but in case you are Olamide fan, go on your knees now and start praying.

Happy New Year.
ur level of joblessness is so high.
So what should i gain from this poo?
RomanceRe: How Do I Tell Her I Can No Longer Keep The Promise? by ghostwritter(m): 11:41pm On Jan 01, 2016
DY20:
Hi everyone, this matter has been one that have been giving sleepless night for over seven days now and I beg you to help me with it...
I have been dating her for over 2 years and some months now, my relationship with her is great, just few ups and downs. But there is one flaw in our relationship, I barely spend much time with her because I am a dependent, student, loner and to top it all, an Introvert (as people do tell me)
Her birthday is on the 5th of december, she told me she want to celebrate it, knowing that I can't afford even the cake, I told her not to hold the apart again because it shouldn't be our priority now (that's my excuse).
She got angry over it and I pretend not to care too. The next day she come back to me and say she won't hold it anymore. So she begged me that she did not want anything from me on her birthday, but all she want is for me to take her out.
I have never done that before, with her with anyone but I agreed anyway.
She was very happy, I can see it in her, she told all of her friends about it, she just can't stop talking about it anytime I'm around her.
I plan to take some money out of the sum my dad gave me to send to my sister (who is also a student) for project. She asked me to keep it for her till December ending so that she won't spend it. Knowing that I'm going to get back the money, I just keep assuring her of the promise I made.
Here is the problem, my sister called me lately that deadline for the project is now November ending. She begged me to send it and she is serious about it. My sister trusts me so much. Now I don't know how to tell my girlfriend that I can't keep the promise again.

I respect myself so much, of course I can't risk my sister's education over a promise to my girlfriend but I don't know how to tell her that.
Please help a brother, thanks.
why d stress?
just buy her lacasera 100 naira and gala 50 naira.....shikena!!

I seriously think you guys are just wasting your time. The admins won't listen to you. I think they want the section to rot and ooze slime. This section is a proof of the reading culture that's dying in the nation. The moderators don't give a damn about the Literature Section, the supermods don't...and, hell, Seun doesn't! I've sent him mails concerning this section but they were ignored. What makes you think he would listen to you this time around? This is basically another thread that would be swept under the rug, or damned into obscurity. However, if by some divine means, you are heard, I hope the nominated enthusiasts would show their mettle and recommend sensible topics for front page. We really don't want to soil the reputations of the great forum and the dying wonderful section. I've come across some stories so poorly written that they pose danger to the views of innocent readers.

Writers are advised to write stuff that are really frontpage-worthy. You can't honestly write something that leaves a ridiculous trail of grammatical blunders and still clamour for front page. Let's learn to write carefully.
