Romance › Re: Going To University In Nigeria Is The Most Useless Thing Ever.. by Ginomel(m): 1:41pm On May 24, 2020 |
ChizzyBuna: If there is one thing I thank Almighty God foris that my family could afford my university education in europe.
The amount of knowledge I gained was tremendous... And I realized why half of our youths back here in Nigeria today are VERY VERY DUMB
In Nigeria, We go to school just for going sake.. Nothing important is gained, we just waste years decieving ourselves. Reading subjects that we won't apply in our life.. No real knowledge, profs collecting sex and bribe to pass students..
You have students that graduate but can't even use the knowledge they acquired. Some didn't acquire any fucking knowledge. Just went to school because Daddy and Mummy force me to go to school..
Graduates that can't think outside the box No wonder y'all can't create anything for yourself. Always carrying certificate to look for who to slave for chicken change you call salary. What Skill did you learn apart from your useless certificate?? Can you send for yourself without slaving and hunting for jobs.. An illiterate can own a business and still hire you so called first class graduate and still pay you chicken change.. A word is enough for the wise If you still think In This Nigeria that going to University is sure way of making it. Then get ready to suffer for the rest of your life. Crap thread. You have a case to settle within you.It has nothing to do with schooling in Nigeria or abroad. We have outstanding individuals that schooled in Nigeria making waves in abroad and we also have illiterates that schooled abroad with nothing in their heads. It's about destiny, not about what you read. School is just there to expose you to challenges of life not actually to practise what you read. Schooling abroad does not make you a great achiever but what you have inside you no matter where you studied. Try and take your chill pill twice daily not once a week as you wrongly thought. |

matrixme: So you mean someone found a way to grow Indian hemp hydroponically in the city and also produces assorted oils as well as many other byproducts in a country without power and technical know how and the best we can do is to arrest him? NDLEA is a very funny agency. That oil has a lot of benefits as far as they managed the recreational part of the stuff. If only Nigeria will know the health importance of hemp and its strong positive impact on the economy where it could generate over 70billion dollars market . As far as the negative part of the product is well managed to avoid abuse and the resultant effect. Hemp should be legalized in Nigeria. |
Family › Re: My Mum Favours My Older Sister At Our Detriment, How Do I Deal With This? by Ginomel(m): 5:46pm On May 23, 2020 |
Please, retrace your step from what is happening, that is how siblings' rivalry starts.
Still consider her as the eldest daughter she is, with her regard and maximum respect.
The nearest you could do is to gently tell your mum that such lifestyle will affect the mum and your sister in future because she will not be good in anything at home. by extension in her husband's house.
As for your mum, she is really treading on a dangerous terrain that could backfire in future. This is the best time to train her daughter.
How about your dad?he has a big role to play here. But whatever happens don't hate your sister, just assume it is her luck. |

Canada, Canada,Canada .All they advise is move move ,move.
Nobody considers the fate of an immigrant to Canada.
Going to an organised society is good but is it really perfect as always assumed.
If only those in Canada can give unbiased account of life over there maybe the decision could be clearer but funny enough many folks here will be disappointed of their dear Canada. |

JewelStone: I'm not gonna lie...I miss Nigeria sometimes which makes me flirt with the idea of splitting my time there when my kids are older. I miss my family, my friends and the sense of community.
But then I remember lack of internet and electricity, horrific healthcare system, bad roads, bigotry, lack of value for human life, insecurity, police brutality, immense corruption, tribalism, crumbling or non-existent economy and a million other horrible things. This quickly resets my mind.
My solution which I'm currently working on is to bring my sisters and my best friend over to live in Sydney with me and make good living for themselves. Then I won't have any business with Nigeria anymore except to visit my parents every two years.
So to answer your question: no, nein, never!!! Most (Didn't say all) people that relocated abroad miss Nigeria a lot and struggle to suppress the feeling. Some go as far as condemning Nigeria as a shithole to justify the reason why they left and if possible console themselves how much they are missing Nigeria. No matter what you do if you like bring all your family members and friends, that feeling of missing Nigeria will always be there. You can only try to suppress it |

imagine the wife standing while the concubine is kneeling so annoying You got it right. I wonder when they will stop fighting the victim, face your partner he/she brought the person in. As far as it is a consented arrangement and not a rape, the husband is a fool confronting the man . You can only react if he argues with you despite the misdemeanour. |

A president being packaged and shielded from the citizens.
A president that can not face the journalists for on the spot media briefing. Something other presidents are doing every day.
Buhari is mentally weak to be a president but still being packaged.
Buhari can not even make a speech without reading from a script. Not even for a minute seriously indicating that he is mentally down
I know that one day, the truth will be open and Buhari will not die but will leave the stage for a good governance for the country.
Buhari is a wrong president and things will not move forward with him there. |

gidjah: We need this oil price to get to zero and then totally useless then regionals system of leadership Will come up then each region would wake up and become responsible.our leaders won't get to this unless the fuel becomes totally useless The effect of zero value of oil will be worse than the gains. Yes you might be right that our unfortunate leaders will not give serious attention to other sectors as far as oil is flowing. The leaders should be sensitized that we could have a positive restructuring despite the existence of oil . Every region develops what they have and pay a certain percentage to the central government. You can see that agriculture, mining, oil tourism etc, Will be undoubtedly developed and the federated economy prospers . The earlier this is done, the better for Nigeria. Till then we wait . |
Politics › Re: Oil Records Second Monthly Drop, Unsold Cargoes Increase by Ginomel(m): 8:17pm On May 15, 2020 |
wink2015: Let this your statement not wrongly mislead northerners.
Let them go and face Agriculture.
Niger delta region need true federalism.
Enough of northern exploitation and feeding bottle federalism. Not at all, every sector should be aggressively developed not just the oil sector . It is very foolish of the northerners to be wasting our resources in name of prospecting for oil in a non existing place. That's just wickedness and useless politics. My point is that oil is instrumental to world economy Dubai of today got their base through oil production. They developed other sectors like tourism but still seriously bent on oil production. So Nigeria should still intensify the production of the last drop of oil while still developing other sectors. |

Irrational and some traditions are very conflicting, tradition is part of us and by extension, learning English language can be assumed to be a strong vehicle for a consolidated tradition in a multi ethnic Society like Nigeria, so we must adhere to learning languages and checking Google for some words like interdenominationalism |
Politics › Re: Oil Records Second Monthly Drop, Unsold Cargoes Increase by Ginomel(m): 10:24am On May 15, 2020 |
No matter how awful it May sound, oil is very critical no matter how much diversification we do.
It moves the economy and other sectors indirectly rely on energy to progress.
No matter how lucrative Infotech and financial business is(Forex trading stocks etc) Oil sector moves them all till the last drop of oil is produced.
To diversify is good but special consideration must be given to oil sector until the new game changer. Funny enough the new energy game changer is gas, which is still oil sector related. |

PastorFire: His body language this evening where he hunged up on Seun Okinbaloye of Channel's tv for Ramadan may reveal he is also a fanatic. So, there is a collaboration of the story with his atitude this evening. The nation was pleased to meet him and know him. But he hunged up. The kind of embarrassment Seun Okinbaloye of Channels TV faced today I don't think he has experienced before. The new chief of staff refused to answer any questions and kept on emphasising that he is working for the president and no other person. He was very unfriendly, struggling to be polite and eventually he hung up on Seun. The body language is not a good sign of him. I pray he will not cause crisis and halt Buhari govt in a year. As already predicted, Buhari might not finish this tenure, though he won't die but will be mentally incapacited to continue as president. Either Vice president will finish his tenure or there will be an unusual political situation at Aso rock. |
