Business › Re: Lagos Assembly Orders Relocation Of Mile 12 And Owode Markets by Goke7: 1:16pm On Mar 08, 2016
as a matter of fact, the closure of that market gave me the perfect opportunity over the weekend to go and see my mother who lives in Ikorodu of which the traffic at mile 12 has always been my hindrance of seeing my mum regularly.

I support the relocation 100%, those who have concerns should also look at the big picture especially for workers who live in Ikorodu and must be in their offices 8am everyday, those workers are as important as those traders in mile 12. I seriously pity those who commute daily between Ikorodu and other parts of Lagos. Honestly I don't know how they are surviving that everyday traffic.
Politics › Re: Nigeria: The Economic Upside- Kemi Adeosun by Goke7: 10:27am On Mar 08, 2016
omohayek:
I thought the old complaint was that Kemi Adeosun wasn't communicating with the public about her plans for the future. Now that she is communicating, you're all asking her to keep quiet and just do her job? Why don't you come out and just admit that you dislike her for petty personal reasons, rather than for how well or poorly she's performing in a job she'd only had for 3 months?

It would be one thing if most of you could articulate policy reasons for thinking Adeosun unsuitable for her post - there are people who have done so and whose opinions I respect - but most of you here seem to be animated by nothing more than tribal animus, as the number of Nairalanders who have any grasp of economics can be counted on one hand.
well said, its all about bad belle, NOI cannot be finance minister forever yet some fellows can't just let us rest.

so Mr common sense is back after all the bashing he got for printing his books abroad lol but seriously ben bruce is beginning to change mouth o, he says he believes in buying naija but supports forex for education. Its high time ben bruce make up his mind where he truly belongs.

He's still a learner in the political game.
Politics › Re: FX Crisis: My Children Study Abroad Because I Can Afford It – Buhari by Goke7: 11:03am On Mar 07, 2016
na wa o. even if PMB goes to toilet today, it will still be a problem to some people. GEJ's fans are just too childish these days, crying over nothing. We saw the way GEJ lavished public funds those days and when people shouted, they were told to keep quiet cos he's the best thing to have ever happened on the face of the earth.

I even salute those who have the time to respond to their childish rants.

"I am angry too because the PDP won the last election in the state but was denied victory" - Agbaje

Meanwhile:

In his remarks, a former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Bode George, attributed
the defeat of the party in the last general elections to a former Minister of State for Defence,
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro

“We were defeated by the agent provocateurs within our ranks. We were defeated by political renegades who merely invested in their own greedy and selfish interests.
Exactly the point I made earlier, PDP is confused
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Replies Osinbajo's Road Assertion by Goke7: 9:08am On Mar 02, 2016
francizy:
APC and their supporters are just full of deciet and will never face their job of putting things in order in an already failing economy.

GEJ built universities, you complained that he left the old ones he should have upgraded to standard and built new ones. Now he rehabilitated old roads and completed abandoned projects but you all are looking for new roads.

Probably if he had spent all the money he used for new universities to upgrade existing ones, we'd still be hearing that no new universities were built in the last 17 years (yes we have to start counting the one year APC has taken already).

Then if he had abandoned previous road projects and dilapidated roads to build new ones, they'd still have said that GEJ instead of putting old and unusable roads in order, left them to build new ones.

You people complain here and there as if APC croonies were elected to come and complain. It's already a year without any single achievement to your name and you still find it easy to complain about previous administration.

The most annoying part is that you all bring these useless complain whenever it seems the incompetence, cluelessness and helplessness of this administration is about to stare us in the face or already staring us in the face. Imagine fuel scarcity that was not experienced more than once or twice in 5 years of the previous administration is now experienced 3 times within just a year into this administration. What a shame.

I'm stranded presently because of this fuel issue but yet someone somewhere, instead of addressing my troubles, decided to blame past administrator for "new" road construction. So I ask, what concerns the present fuel scarcity with "new" roads?

The economy is in a terrible shape, naira is in its most unstable state, Fulani herdsmen are still killing in hundreds and occupying territories, prices of food materials have skyrocketed, prices of other goods and services have doubled, power supply is next to zero in my area in Lagos, the president is still wasting our scarce resources on irrelevant junkets, etc, yet someone somewhere wants to cunningly take our minds of the present realities.

You guys should better plead with that dullard of a president to perform his duties because one year is almost gone. I leave you all with these comments:
you've made no point cos you are just too bitter, stick to the issue and answer the question that Reno tried but failed to answer too.
Politics › Re: 2015 Gov Bid Plunged Me Into Debt – Jimi Agbaje by Goke7: 7:36am On Mar 02, 2016
I see a contradiction here, Jimi is claiming that he won election while bode George says some folks in their party worked against them for their defeat at the polls.

PDP - papa deceiving pikin indeed grin
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Replies Osinbajo's Road Assertion by Goke7: 7:31am On Mar 02, 2016
Still no one even those who worked closely with GEJ can't say exactly which new roads were constructed. They have all resorted to abuse and insults on the VP.

Truly many folks will never recover from the electoral loss of GEJ. Its so glaring that they are too bitter.
Politics › Re: CCT Shifts Saraki’s Trial To March 11 by Goke7: 3:21pm On Mar 01, 2016
its confirmed, Daudu the so called SAN can never proceed to defend his client for any trial, he will always try to dodge it based on technicalities, now that the supreme court has cleared the way for trial to begin, daudu has to give way for another lawyer.

na wa o for a so called former chairman of NBA. Am sure he will soon give way for another lawyer for dasuki's case as the trial must go on grin

Politics › Re: Dear Nigerians, Sorry, President Buhari Is Not The Nigerian Dream by Goke7: 10:52am On Mar 01, 2016
dearpreye:
No single person can solve Nigeria's myriads of problems, despite the noise the APC and its supporters made and are making. We are struggling with serious structural issues as a nation; and until we change this weak structure and give overwhelming powers to the states, there's NO going forward.

Well, I didn't expect anything meaningful from a man who didn't upgrade even his SSCE during the last 34 years; he lacks the information and mindset for a 2016 Nigeria. APC was never the solution from the outset.
But you guys never raised these issues during the last administration, you were okay with all GEJ was doing as president.

Going back to those structural issues you have raised, when the structure was okay back in the 60s, we never appreciated it back then as some over zealous misguided young men destroyed that very beautiful structure. Sometimes its more difficult to get back what was destroyed unnecessarily, the aftermath of the foolish acts of those young men remains the major reason why we can't go back to what has been described as the best system of Government Nigeria ever had.

EKELEONU:
We have lots of players. Issac Success of Granada is great. Osimhen is great.Ighalo is great. Chikatara is great. Combination of these three can finish any defence. Sunday Mba has to be recalled because since his exclusion, we have not known peace

Sports › Re: Emenike Rejects Invitation Back To The Super Eagles Squad by Goke7: 9:15am On Mar 01, 2016
Walelavender:
Emenike! So funny! Common he isn't a match for the likes of Ighalo,Etebo,Iheanacho Akpom and Isaac Success. He isn't a technical player anymore. Relies so much on his strength. Football is played scientifically now, not with 'pari' grin
Well it's good Siasia made the move for reconciliation. We have better players scattered around the globe.
Just the magical touch of the coach needed.
And when did Ighalo last scored for his team? African football is based on strength, reason the likes of Drogba, Eto and Yaya toure shone like million stars. I respect Emenike's decision though.

May we never have a useless coach like Oliseh. We may continue to pay for some of his stupidity for some time even if a foreign coach arrives.

May the lives of those who employed Oliseh including the journalists who campaigned for him be managed like the way Oliseh managed the Eagles. Absolute nonsense. I de vex no be small
Politics › Re: Doyin Okupe Blasts Osinbajo:"You Lied In Church That Jonathan Built No Road'(pic by Goke7: 5:12pm On Feb 29, 2016
Its obvious from all the comments so far that no one including okupe himself has been able to knock down the points made by the VP.

And it seems many Nigerians cannot differentiate between a rehabilitated road from a newly constructed one. All I see here are children who lack understanding.

The VP was even lenient with his words. Truth is since Nigeria returned to democracy since 1999 no new road or bridge has been built by the federal government apart from the ones in Abuja city cos its the seat of Govt.

Osinbajo was right just as PMB was right not to devaluate the naira.

I think the u-23 success has given siasia another chance. I hope he succeeds this time with the super eagles and if he does pls nobody should mention foreign coach again o. This was how we distracted keshi despite doing well.

I wish siasia all the best.
Sports › Re: Why NFF Should Be Blamed For Oliseh's Resignation by Goke7: 4:37pm On Feb 26, 2016
Why are we hypocritical and people of double standards in Nigeria? The reasons oliseh gave for his resignation were the same things keshi was complaining of during his tenure yet we said he lack tactics and man management. We all pushed NFF to disgrace keshi now we are supporting oliseh despite all the personal flaws he had as a coach.

Well am happy the way oliseh disgraced himself and the NFF like the way NFF disgraced keshi.

The other day metuh called Jonathan's name into his case and still e no work, now Father Christmas Dauski de mention Buhari name.

These guys are just silly, am not surprised cos Daudu his lawyer already has a reputation in avoiding trial by all means by using technicalities.

They can't just believe its the same Nigeria where in the time past anything goes.

I tire o, the way some of our elites have been bashing PMB, shows they are indeed the major cause of our problems cos a lot of them benefit majorly from our importation based economy. They have to prophesy doom so PMB can easily cave in to their desires which is devaluation but God pass them.

Sports › Re: Oliseh Resigns As Super Eagles Coach! by Goke7: 8:33am On Feb 26, 2016
Oliseh is a baby, why resign when its just a month to a crucial game. Anyway some of us are not surprised as we saw it coming. From day one. Oliseh was a mistake causing all sorts of controversies from the way he disgraced Enyeama out of the team till his senseless rants on YouTube.

The lesson here is that great soccer analysts don't make great coaches, I hope Nff will not go and hire John Barnes now because he speaks good grammar on supersports.

Shame to the likes of Segun Odegbami and the sports journalists who hoodwinked nff to hire Oliseh. I say SHAME!!!!
