Peng12345: What of power steering fluid Omo u must change that one when it's due if not ur pump will start wining when u turn your steering wheels. Every 8 months for me depending on the color and viscous nature of the fluid but it can last 2 years. Though sometimes the fluid may be fine but steering would still be hard. Here's a trick that works though not all cars. Works for me. My truck used to be extra power steering when my dad used it so he had a hard time driving it then he called oga kazeem (local mechanic). Kazeem condemned the pump that it needs to be replaced. When dad handed the keys over to me if u never chop u no fit turn that steering cuz its a 1992 land cruiser. So I used my usual technique. I took the cap off, oil was fine and normal when sampled on white paper (it's how I checked clarity and viscous nature of oil) then I started the engine, took the cap off, sealed with masking tape the fill hole of the pump reservoir once it's sealed. Pierce a hole or 2 on the masking tape with a screwdriver(the reason for the tape is to prevent dirt from falling into the reservoir. Drive a few miles. Say 10 or 15 miles. You'll notice the difference. Mostly works if u changed your steering oil and steering is stiff. It's a form of bleeding air out the system. Ive been using the same pump for 2 years and even a 4 year old can handle my butter smooth steering wheel. Anytime ur steering wheel has stiffness try this technique. Works a lot. Just check ur front Tyres and make sure its not little deflation that's causing ur steering to be hard |

It's not really advisable to change your transmission oil if you've been using it for a long time. If it ain't dark don't touch it. If the transmission is fine don't change the oil. Otherwise you'll have transmission problems if u change it cuz it will start slipping.
If you haven't changed it for years and the color is not dark, and the transmission switches fine LEAVE IT ALONE OOO.
Every other oil can be changed but not the transmission |

Car Talk › Re: Does Repainting Your Car Devalue It? by gonkin(m): 6:44am On Oct 27, 2019 |
abatically: Yes repainting a car in Nigeria devalues the car and I have my reasons.
Paint jobs carried out in Nigeria are trash, even the so called oven baking. It will cost thousands of dollar to get a car painted to factory specs. Who in Nigeria is willing to pay that much just to respray a car? I had a slight accident with my car last march, i fixed it and decided to oven bake it with the sane color it came with. After 8 months there were scratches everywhere. Even dust dey cause the car to scratch. It is no way near the paint job that came with the car. OEM paint job can last as long as 15 years whearas Nigerian oven baking will barely last 1 year. U can't blame them though, u get what u pay for. U should see mine. Just a bent fender and it looks awful when it was resprayed. So im deciding to sticker bomb my car. The first set of stickers totally changed the look and people started asking who did it. That it looks really different |

gonkin: I've been using conoil golden super for my 1992 landcruiser for roughly 2 years now SAE40. So i decided to try an imported Valvoline Premium Blue GEO LA SAE 40 oil in my ENGINE. And i noticed its a lot quieter, i mean so quiet that sometimes if I don't look at my rpm at while idling. I wouldnt know the engine is running. Movement is alot smoother. U don't feel any jerks or load when it's switching to higher gears and even at high speed it doesn't roar like it used to.
The vehicle feels very smooth. So I'm just saying should I stick to the Valvoline Premium Blue GEO LA SAE40 or go back to my CONOIL GOLDEN SUPER SAE40.
Cuz i got the car using conoil so I couldn't tell how the real engine sound is like till I switched to valvoline. Can't even hear any tapping or clicking while the engine is running. I have an exhaust leak just after the catalyst converter and I dont hear that too. So is it ok? Its an inline 6 engine and I've done 1200miles since the last oil change and its still quiet as ever, engine temperature is a little below the previous level too. Still have vapours from the exhaust.
Please what's ur take and what do u think about my new oil. Though I've been using it on Gensets since last year and the Genset too operates quietly. Even friends I gave the oil demanded more. Over a year now no issues. So should I continue with it on my vehicle? Well? |
