forgiveness: Oba of Benin lied is what I deduced from your comment. It's possible but even he himself can't the fact that Oranmiyam was Benin first Oba. Like i said he is playing the political chess game of superiority battle Which started after 1914....... The Oba of benin have no historical ties with Yoruba or Oduduwa, all the forged historical ties happened after 1914 which was done for cultural unity The benin mibarch who agreed to this yoruba - false history is oba eweka 11 He used his name Eweka as the base for the historical lie, In the myth it was eweka1 https://www.nairaland.com/6340975/name-benin-origin-benin-ife-conspiracy#97619218You should also know that not all Yoruba are from ife most non Yoruba ife people accepted such history of Oduduwa ancestry for political and cultural unity Visit the various thread on my profile for more

nocomment2: Ok, I have had my fun with this scam artist named christistruth00. I am the person who actually found the historical document in question and posted it to nairalanda. Here is the actual translation:
"Captain Horseley called it Eco, and that is how the yebous refer to it; but it is not their land: it belongs to Benin, whom have named it Korame, you can recognise the Curamo from older Portuguese reports, just like Eko represents the Ichoo from Holland Hydrographs. Long ago Korame was linked to its metropolis by a very narrow piece of land contained between the great Laguna and the sea; but it has been a while since the Yebous have seazed that very narrow piece of land of which the eastern extremity was invaded by ouyo pirates; and Karamé remained isolated at the extremity of the great Laguna, while it continues to receive from Benin it's governor or political chief."
The document comes from a book: https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/bpt6k62093119/f11.image.r=Yebou
@ Areafada, Gregyboy, Samuk, Davidnazee.
Very obviously the metropolis being talked about is Benin ! Macof why are you such a liar ? For your info, "langue de terre" means : "very narrow piece of land". You don't speak French and your Google translation won't translate that, because it is an expression. While discussing history with you guys yoruba, it always comes down to this: you must lie ! But why ? It is history, it has already happened, why try to create your alternate reality ?
For readers who only want the truth, the text is here for you, don't be lazy, translate it.
Also, when you see expressions like "langue de terre" you have to first look at its meaning in a French dictionary ( just type the expression on Google, it should give you the meaning in french), then you translate the meaning (which would be words in french) into English. Don't believe me, just do the work and don't be lazy.
Also, as can be seen in the third caption, "ouyo" doesn't mean "oyo". Ouyo refers to a bunch of pirates whom were also called Jos. The ouyo pirates are most likely ijo people ! Gbam ! Lol, ogie' wa femwen, uyahe vbe d translation |

jneutron4000: Aworis, Ijebus Own Lagos 100%. Am just saying that even the so called Benin kingdom, the first [s]Oba of Benin which is Eweka, is a son of Oranmiyan from Ile Ife. Ile Ife Prince Oranmiyan lineage birth the so called Benin[/s] Empire and before Ashipa even stepped into Lagos, we already have the Dejo chiefs which are Elegushi, Aromire, Onitiwo, Olooto, Ijora etc, Edos knows Lagos is no their land, we just have some idiots in Yorubaland that spew trash at time just for stupid reasons . Lagos is surrounded by Ogun state within Nigeria and even by Yorubas in Benin Republic to the external border of Nigeria so how did the Benins passed Ijebus and Egbas to found Lagos? They are using names as references . Oshodi is not a Yoruba name but because a man from Tapa helped we the Yorubas to fight the British, Chief Oshodi Landuji was made Balogun by Oba Kosoko, Now there is nobody in Lagos state that do not know Oshodi even his generation are regarded in Lagos. Serene123: Please I will need your constructive opinion on this. Been battling with this thoughts for some time now.
I engaged my girl last year. Reason why I did engage her was because I saw her intent to be with me. I have seen her gave out her cash to help get somethings for our new apartment. She has even used her cash to buy some properties she wants in the house when we get married. She has stood and defended me to her family on why she is getting married to me. She has really earned my trust and never regretted engaging her. She is one girl that every man will like to have as wife
In the course of our relationship months back, I noticed there is this guy that call her. I questioned and she said is just a friend. I have told her I am not comfortable with the call. Yes I have listened to the calls and it doesn't sound serious On 25th Dec I place a call across to her phone and she wasn't picking. She later told me reason why she didn't pick. While we were together I noticed she didn't pick cos she went out with the same guy I have been complaining about. I got to know via a pic. She has insisted nothing serious is going on. I was so angry and I needed to take her phone and check up something. We struggled with the phone and she injured her nails.. She is saying I am a woman beater and I have anger issue. She started keeping to herself and phone and was bold to tell me that this action of mine has succeeded in killing the feelings she has for me.
She has asked for time to get her mental health back and for close to two weeks now we haven't been flowing well..
I have tried to talk to her so we fix this shit but she said she needs time.
I have decided to give her the time she needs while I focus on something else. Yes, I miss her
I won't lie, is emotional for me and someone is currently trying to fill her vacuum by being all nice. I am getting closer to her, but my heart still yearn for my fiance.
I don't know if I am doing the right thing by being close to another lady. I don't know if I should belivee her that she has lost feelings for me and move on. I need your advise.
Sorry for the lengthy thread Bro move dont be a simp to a lady, take your stance as a man, and walk out Welcome to reality bro, she lost feeling, you better start doing thesame |
