SportsRe: Nigeria's Amos Adamu Offer To Sell Fifa Hosting Rights For £500,000 by hackney(m): 2:17pm On Oct 18, 2010
Saw it on telly on the news.

No surprises there; that's how nigerians are.
Nigeria is hopelessly corrupt and should be a case study for foreign schools of thought.
It is endermic and genetic.

RomanceRe: How Should Men Overcome Womanizing? by hackney(m): 2:08pm On Oct 18, 2010
Some people argue that  an affair can help you keep your marriage in cases where its worth saving.
Especially when you are married to a lady that turns into a terrible woman.

It helps them take their focus off the nonsense that their wife has become.
Nagging endlessly about the slightest thing and purposely not pulling their weight around the house.

PoliticsRe: Goodbye America, Welcome Nigeria by hackney(m): 10:28am On Oct 18, 2010
I'd rather be racially discriminated  by someone that looks different than be slaughtered by
someone that looks like me.

Fortunately, in the west if you show proficiency in any skill, the racial lines seem to fade.
(also if you are a success in general; actually then they even want to marry you).

However in nigeria if you like have 1st class in alien future technology, the employer will just
employ his illiterate nephew in th job and off to the village you pop.

Maybe in 2000 yrs time nigeria in general will have acquired the right mindset.
By then a generation of people who all know what the fuxck other nations are doing would have emerged.

The zeal to go back home in this case is commendable but somewhat naive.
People do not realise the hopelessness of Nigeria.

The system is hopelessly corrupt.
With all your cutting edge ideas and exceptional plans to help import technology and even improve the
environment, any bodies you come in contact with be it govt or private bodies will just say:
Abeg later or come today ,come tomorrow.

They will even ask you if you brought some funds from wherever you came from so they can con you in some way.
Then you get home and walk into the embracing arms of armed robbers and terrible relatives.

Yea, im on my way.

PoliticsRe: Kidnapping: Soldiers Arrest Reverend Father by hackney(m): 10:40am On Oct 17, 2010
It is true that in nigeria, the must-get-a-scape-goat syndrome is rife.
As a result the priest may be completely innocent and has no idea of what he is being accused of.
The JTF may have wondered into the village and seen that the only person that will give them huge sums is the priest.

on the other hand:
Anything can happen in that devil's playground called nigera.
I dont trust anybody there.
after all  if most of the priests are screwing choir girls and married women, what stops them from aiding kidnapping?
(are some sins bigger than others in his eyes?)

We simply need to wait it out ,especially to hear what the priest has to say for himnself.

Most of all, in aba it's all about money, money, money.

its been a year since this man took over from yaradura. please tell me what he has done in a year, if he wanted people to take him seriously he should have accomplished something in a year. Even the disasters that happened under his watch flood, Jos, what leadership has he taken to fix those. There are so many little things he could have done, but he was lining his pocket and getting ready his presidential campaign.

So I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. Is not about being negative, is about Enough talking, do something already, show us you care by doing something. Stop talking and show it.

CareerRe: How Smart And Skilled Is The Nigerian Worker, Actually? by hackney(m): 5:52pm On Oct 14, 2010
AjanleKoko:
My dad practised HR for most of his working life. He tells me a lot about stuff he learned by interacting with people as a HR person, over the course of his working life. He says there are two myths about Nigerians:

1. That they are very intelligent: My dad thinks this is a lie. He believes Nigerians are mostly tough talkers, and can talk their way into anything.

2. That they are very hardworking: My dad also thinks this one is a fallacy. He believes we are only 'mouth' workers, and hardly focus on what we are hired to do.

What do you guys think, Nairalanders?
Your Dad got it a 100%

Majority are very unskilled, unsmart and also impolite if i might add.
They are better at local intelligence and decieving others.
also good at ways of blaming someone else and doing as little as possible.
i despise them.

CrimeRe: Opc Saves Twins From Kidnap In Lagos by hackney(m): 7:31pm On Oct 13, 2010
Mopol has displaced them from aba hence the migration.

I wonder what happens to kidnappers court-wise?
Kidnapping is a serious crime and the punishment should be severe but knowing nigeria,
the police or judge will just collect money months later and the ingrate is on the streets again.

I thought they lynched criminals in such situations? ?
Everything has changed in lagos.
(more civilised now? ok oo! )!
