dadaha: This should help https://www.nairaland.com/3159808/urgent-need-gun I read recently where it was posted that you can now apply online, you check the police portal or just google the subject. A certain category of officers either in the military or so will need to be your reference, but i think you can by pass all those with the right contacts, either in the police or firearm sellers. I had contact with both sources, nuff said. Modified By the way, i had an offer of N350k for a licence and a pump action....just to give you a fair idea of prices but this was 2 years ago |
Politics › Re: How Can One Legally Own Fire Arm In Nigeria? by hardbody: 5:32pm On Aug 29, 2016 |
Jakumo: This write up is a fascinating work of fiction that is totally incorrect, from the standpoint of ballistic reality. Clearly the writer of this factually erroneous description has never owned a real gun in his life, but hopes to impress similarly unenlightened readers by baffling them with bullchit accumulated from playing video games and watching old war movies.
A pump action SHOTGUN unleashes a horrific flesh-mangling blast at point-blank ranges within 20 yards, BUT, those pellets only possess a MAXIMUM lethal range of 50 yards at best. Any target beyond 50 yards that is hit by shotgun pellets has a very good chance of escaping with small pellet wounds, and at ranges beyond 100 yards, shotgun pellets may not even retain sufficient energy to penetrate clothing. As a hunter who has used a pump action shotgun to down quarry ranging from fast-flying birds to sprinting deer, I happen to know what I am talking about, from personal experience over many, many years.
A rifle projectile, on the other hand, is capable of blasting gaping holes in flesh, and shattering bone, all the way out to 1 kilometer downrange, depending on the caliber of the projectile fired. The venerable AK47, chambered with the 7.62x39mm cartridge, is a devastating weapon capable of precision fire out to ranges in the region of 80 yards, beyond which accuracy drops off significantly, unless of course the rifle is fitted with a telescopic sight that improves accuracy, such that 200 yard shots can be attempted by steady-handed shooters. My .308 caliber deer rifle, fitted with a high magnification telescopic sight, will make clean deer kills well out beyond 350 yards, when fired from a stable resting position.
Having thoroughly tested the accuracy of an AK47 rifle at the firing range where many crates of ammo were expended at paper targets, I can lay claim to a very deep familiarity with the AK, going beyond mere shooting, and into the realm of complete disassembly and reassembly, which I perform blindfolded with ease, meaning that my observations about this weapon ALSO derive from EXTENSIVE hands-on experience, and not wild, uninformed speculation.
Before taking to the internet to make outlandish claims about subjects one does not truly understand, it would be prudent to bear in mind that not everyone in the targeted audience is guaranteed to be as profoundly ignorant as the pontificating writer. Chisosssx@ the last paragraph. .... Take it easy bro. |

Please use google to educate yourself. And your point is? I fail to see it because you made none. If you were to comprehend my post in context, there will be no need to rant. You have no credibility here. EgunMogaji: The only thing that you showed is your continued self-gratification and indifference to fellow humans that may need your help.
Listen, like I told you before, I am not your typical audience that you can hood wink. I am superior to you on many levels.
Additionally, as long as I find materials that fits the purpose, and I stay within the TOS of this site then I will mention you and you will like it.
Remember that you mentioned me first, you don't get to decide who does what as far as I'm concerned.
What are you afraid of anyway? Someone that is showing your total ineptitude?
Pease is overrated. A discerning mind will notice that you could not and would not have been able to counter my logical reasoning and clearly articulated argument despite your acclaimed knowledge of my personal ineptitude. That alone is gratifying. What I am afraid of? Insult by or from anyone who does not hold a handle on a particular discussion at any material time but prefers to dance to gallery to justify a sense of peculiar self worth and notoriety. Mention me on matters that we can thrash out with logical arguments and i will always bow to superior reason, set out on a journey of insults to justify a self worth, i will leave you to wallow in your negative wisdom. I will remind you that where ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise. |

How do you like dem apples?
I am elated to see that there are men of honor and dedication to the oath amongst lawyers in Nigeria. I took quite some time contemplating on whether to respond to this or not. I weighed your motive and later decided that you needed some education to help you understand since it is obvious you quoted this out of ignorance. Law is broadly here divided into civil and criminal. Some guy in a previous post suggested that lawyers should take the matter up even when the man had not been charged. That could only happen at civil law and only the said claimant can institute such an action as the proper person, in law he is said to have locus standing. I did say that any lawyer that does that is ambulance chasing. Fast forward to when the man is being charged under a criminal setting as is being speculated. Where this happens, the matter is now criminal and lawyers can step in pro bono to defend. As a matter of fact, every lawyer in court at any time is an amicus curae in any matter that comes up while he is in court, the judge can actually invite you to adress it on points of law. Ambulance chasing and acting pro bono on a matter fall into civil or criminal trials. No one did the former, but tens of lawyers are willing to do the later. I hope I made myself clear. I have taken the pains and trouble to break it down so from your position above me, you may comprehend how it works. I have been very careful not to call you names, i have also requested before that you quit mentioning me especially in matters that you are an illiterate on. Please do me that favour and stop calling me out. When you last descended to the use of gutter language to insult and abuse me, i told you i was done with engaging with you. Here i feel a duty to clarify so others may have the benefit of this explanation, as for you, you will still argue, but again, i am done with this convo. Peace |

If it's not Ph.d or the American version, DBA, etc.....the rest come across as funny and not recognized in the academic community.

Got to kubwa, entered one-chance with two ladies... Thankful to God for sparing my life. Lessons learned: 1. Say no to night journey. I decided to travel back at all cost because I didn't want to incur the wrath of my supervisor who permitted me to travel without much ado. NB, if u die, someone else will be employed in your stead. 2. Heed salient warnings: My fiance and two other friends called to discourage me, I said no... the first vehicle I boarded, the tyre developed a fault... had to go back to Lkj and then board another vehicle... the vehicle was still there when I got another vehicle and passed it by 3. Use a blackberry phone: thieves don't trust blackberry owners because of the various security settings and backups on blackberry... mine was returned the moment I said I'm only taking it to the owner as I don't know d password... 4. In all things, thank God... coz if we think itz by our power that we have safe trips...then we lie.... Ancient of days I thank you! Dem beat you join? |
