Chances/Impact of Strikes over Fuel Prices As some of you may know my father lives and works in Nigeria, he is somewhat concerned about the emerging possibilities of strikes related to the increased fuel costs. This could mean that he is unable to return home for an extended period of time (as they say there's no place like home) due to threats of planes being grounded because of a lack of fuel (which is kind of stupid considering modern jet liners burn kerosene not the petrol you put in your car) So what's likely to happen and more importantly when. |
It depends, the base station near you may not be configured to allow access at this time (my carrier atm doesn't support gprs data transfer |
This story might be of interest to you guys interested in wimax. http://whirlpool.net.au/article.cfm/1535?show=replies |
I'm not entirely convinced that it's as bad as you say, I noticed no effects what so ever standing thirty metres away from a flare in Eket. I didn't see any water that had any soot in it either, corroded roof's are far more likely to be caused by the harsh environmental factors acting on houses (wet season and sea salt spray) |
g'day mate ![]() Hello (Australian English (Actually no-one but complete and utter morons really say this) |
Domain name's here are rigeorsly inforced, if any camping goes on an .com.au the original owner can reclaim it (obviously they investigate it) ![]() |
Today, It was my birthday too ![]() |
russia's army is now just a glimmer of what it used to be, perhaps with the help of china they can reconstuct it to it's former glory and hopefully America will relize that "they're not all powerful" ps in a training excerise an australian commando team managed have a 15:1 ratio of "deaths" against the US Numbers aren't everything, which is important to think about when looking at China's army. |
Problem is with comparing wages is that when they import it they still have to pay the same amount they would if they were buying it in another country, a retailer would be crazy to sell it at such a heavy loss wouldn't they? Price's I give are usually in AUD unless otherwise stated. ![]() |
Too big for me, I love my car too but it's not quite as expensive as you guy's cars ![]() |
Well, I beleive you can help google translate it into other languages, so go go go! |
still thats extremely cheap on a global scale, we pay $1.20 atm a litre for our fuel. |
heh those prices are cheaper than what we pay... |
Well if you were to do it, It makes more sense building off a already stable but somewhat unuser friendly base (eg debian, gentoo etc) |
I hope it's cheaper than importing your own ice cream, a litre tub cost $50 USD to import from South Africa. |
It's a bit confusing when you have as many people as I do on there list (178 - atm 58 online) ![]() |
Just knowing about it is a good start! |
Quite a few of the people involved are still alive to this day (obviously they would be very old but that is irrelevent) But we need to know to stop it from ever happening again! |
I wouldn't mind paying that for petrol, it costs us $1.20 a litre. |
surely you must of heard of what the russian's did when they went through poland? |
Hey guys, I have no problems in people adding me as contacts in MSN Messenger if they let me know who they are via PM or drop me a note when they first add me (I am on for a fair proportion of the time, else send me an email) Thanks, Hidden_Hunter |
I haven't really heard any of them being associated with Australia though, by far the worst were the russian's though. They killed far more than even the german's and japanese combined. |
Alot of what the Japanese did were war crimes... If your interested look up things like Changi and Burma Railway for Japanese War Crimes Here's a wikipedia link if you're interested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_war_crimes |
Today is an important day for all countries this side of the world as it marks the 60th anniversery of the Victory in the Pacific. Signelling the end of world war 2 Which was of special importance to Australia, as it was the first time we truely had to fear invasion and many crimes against humanity were commited by the Japanese against our captured soldiers. Respect for those who gave there lives and those who are still alive today. |
I would probably change my name to something cool sounding only to get sick of it a week later... |
It's actually a criminal offence here to prefix your name with a title that you're not. |
one other thing, remember the quality of naira is nowhere near the same standard of other bank notes. Reading it would be extremely difficult. |
No doubt in my mind that my parents favour my brother more than me, but it doesn't fuss me in the slightest. I know I can't live up to him anyway, so I don't try. |
then I guess you just have to tell him straight up you don't want a "yank tank" |
Tell him that petrol for that will cost you too much money... |
that movie sucks, but no I don't look a thing like him ![]() I'll look around and see if I can find an acceptable picture of me in it... (you might be waiting a while) |
