Hi people, I just graduated with a 2.2 in one of the sciences. (CGPA 3.3). I admit that was due to my carelessness. Recently, I have this strong ambition to become a university lecturer and rise to the peak of my career. Now, these are my concerns. What are the chances of getting a lecturing job (after I might have gotten my PhD) considering the 2.2 Bsc result? Or it doesn't matter once there are higher qualifications? Is it worthwhile to sit for JAMB again and start all afresh? I'm still in my mid twenties and the drive is high. I know I can do it, but is it necessary / worth it? |
mascot87:Education is not overrated. |
A very big congratulations to the winner. But it seems the Nigerian factor is here again. Which consumer laptop costs 700k? Essay writing doesn't suggest the need for graphic intensive laptop, we all know what happened there. |
hstar:I'm already on this path but I don't wanna push too hard else I'll lose out. In fact, I'm assuming she's gone, so that I'll be able to use my brain effectively and not necessarily emotions. She's the one putting more effort at the moment, but really, this moment made me realize there's so much more to life than relationships, especially for a youth in his twenties. Thanks for the concern bro, I appreciate you. |
hstar:Of course I learnt a lot. Trust your partner but reserve that little percentage of doubt, in case things go south, you won't cry. Never express the doubt anyway. As a man, be on top of the relationship. In my case, I was initially on top for over a year, she's always the one chasing me more than I chase her, gradually I felt I wasn't treating her like a queen... I started being too nice. started calling her more than she called me, sent money, pampered her, gifts, visiting her more than she visits me, and gradually she fell out of love. I wanted to create a perfect and balanced relationship but in reality, someone must be on the advantage. It's better the man is in control/advantage, God designed it that way because ladies can't quite manage their emotions. Treat her like a queen, but only once in a while. like......... almost rarely and unexpectedly. Let her pant for you, then give her the best you can. let her pant again....... then give her. Don't just keep loving and loving like a ful. don't say "I love you" every now and then, let your "I love you" be powerful/rare enough to make her night. Read the red pill on nairaland, it will help. Even with all these, even if you're rich enough, your relationship can still fail. Have that in mind and hope for the best! Cheers |
hstar:Na me f up jare. I been dey simp. I don learn now. |
Pre marital sex. |
Mr Adamu, how far? When will universities resume? Students are getting depressed at home o, seven month break from academics isn't even healthy. Please like my post for no reason, my girlfriend just broke my innocent heart. |
Bunch of hypocrites! There's no corona in Nigeria! |
xtremer:Guy, try dey use dis tin na |
Trustwallet:Did this two weeks ago. God has forgiven me |
This is why I stopped graphics designing |
kingemaker:We need to be careful before we advise everybody to break up their relationships because of every mistake. There's a high probability that this guy is using a consistently fake age for his education and career. The lady should reason along that line and find a subtle way to ask her boo (her reaction should be like "so that's what you can't tell me...all the best for you " . The guy will regret not telling her earlier and will trust her more. Nobody's perfect o |
No big deal here. Tell here you're here for her. ask her out, let her make her decision. |
WibusJaga:City's game will now be ending in double figures 12-1, 13-0, etc |
Well, it will make it easier for the ones in Nigeria to get good jobs. Doctors aren't treated badly abroad too, so it's a kind of win win for the profession. Just that it's bad for the nation. Brain drain is real. |
There are basically five ways to success. 1. Riding on the works of sponsors. (Rich parents and relative who are able, willing and ready to help you whether you are good enough or not) 2. Excellence. Even in this Naira country, excellence still gets rewarded. Study medicine and graduate, have a first class in a relevant course, be extremely good with your skills, etc. 3. Luck. Even if you do nothing, luck can still pick you. Examples abound. Someone got a scholarship abroad after a leaked seex tape. 4. Fraud. 5. Any combination of the aforementioned. Choose responsibly and don't forget that above any rule or convention, God has the final say. |
Sagefromtheeast:Modified: I hope the person who quoted me has seen the name and exact location of the said church. The Land was purchased. I don't know what you mean by "pray tell" |
The government is not in the position to oversee religious organizations financial income and expenditures. Every fund received at the church, whether first fruit or tithe or offering, donation or development "levy" is freewill. The payer pays based on his relationship with God and his conviction. How is this the government's concern? People shame churches all over the internet, yet, I've seen churches perform more charity than any other sect. Some churches print out their balance sheet at the end of every year, detailed, prepared by qualified professionals who has volunteered to do so. Even in the worst case scenario, like the time a church I used to attend back then asked all members to empty their accounts to procure land for the church, is still hot enough reason to allow government's oversight. I simply left the church (More than half of us left). No noise. Some stayed without paying, some donated half of their account balance, I know some who dropped everything they had. All good. I don't want to delve into the fact that the government in discussion is nothing to write home about. In fact, since it is coming from the "Nigerian Government" the whole agenda makes no sense. |
Bunch of fuus... this is not the time for strike... time is wasting |
Corruption is at an alarming level in Nigeria but this one wey op write na lie. |

Meteng:You're wrong. Our government is grossly irresponsible but no government will charge it's citizens for basics like vaccine. It's highly unlikely. |
dantewest:It's not free, it's just that in most situations, it's not the recipient that pays for it. |
KnightsTemplar:Don't mind then, many are not even in serious relationships, lots are definitely unmarried, lots are irresponsible. Don't just take what you see online serious if you want to remain sane. |
why do good men suffer?? |
Kobojunkie:Alaye calm down joor... |

Thanks to God for saying your life. BTW, any brand of phone would have done that (If your narrative is true, cos I have every reason not to believe it) |
Grass to mud actually |
OP, tell your boss to tell his boss to tell the management of Transsions to focus on the production of power banks, so that the battery you guys manage to produce can be put to better use. If it is about phones... Forget it, it's not your calling. |
