mikuz: Let's do this . . .
.
.
.
It all started two weeks back . . precisely. . /
I was at Uniport's World bank library . . /
My study was serious/
. . was reading for a test a visiting lecturer promised to give us/
The scene was typical . . with the trappings of library movements/
silent and filled with serious minded students/
some look nervous and tension soaked/
while others wore confidence gazing at their handwritten lecture notes/
I like silence . . but I could be a good noise freak/
cos I love engaging with loud arguments with ma football peeps/
Periodically . . I could distract myself to be able to just digest/ some of what I've read/
cos the contents in my note can leave any student bored to death!/
It seemed every line I read centered on Insolvency. . / Debts,liquidation,bankruptcy . . Oh Lord's Mercy . . /
. . With all that one could think Carlos Slim's wealth aint worth one Bentley. . !/
I raised ma head as a heard the librarian interrogating a guy . . who wasn't finding it easy to speak/
. . and this was when I saw this charming and elegantly dressed pretty chick!/
her steps got me truely
couldn't blink as she walked through the door/
She was fair like the mermaids that made ancient sailors wreck/
. . their ships againt great ice-bergs/
Omotola got hips . . but I like this one a bit better/
2face said her beauty could change his scenery . . but for me this beauty can change a theatre/
Her shape was sumtious . . he gait was flawless/
With her endownment . . I concluded that she was a goddess/
My eyes abrutly got litted/
moment she started moving to where I was sitted/
This chick was so lovely dressed . . the jean she wore was clear dark blue/
I couldn't see her feet . . cos the tables and chair obstructed ma view/
but with the way she wound her waist . . it was rather a fact/
. . that she cat-walked better than a cat/
Everyone got their books before their eyes/
with an exception of all the guys/
she was one hell of a stunning cutie/
so no real man would take his gaze off this beauty . . /
I closed my eyes and said a prayer . . not minding if it mattered/
but when I opened my eyes . . . the prayer was answered/
she must have heard God direct her to me . . cos in no time/
she decided to take a seat adjacent to mine/
I took time once more to perused her looks/
. . as she sat and opened her books/
My mind drifted from the test and ma preparation/
To hell with it . . Ill make up for it during examination/
cos it could take another lifetime to re-meet this kinda creation!/
Her elegance was a profound pride/
she had an oval face and she was brown eyed/
her skin was light . . and her nose was kinda round sized/
Her small mouth fitted with her face . . this lady was a rare being/
And the colour of her lipstick matched her fair skin/
On her head there was an attachment there/
Later I got to find out it was called Brazilian hair/
So many voices in my head saying "approach her . . You should thank your star"/
"If she says yes . . where is the money you'd use to take care of her?"/
The other says " Don't do it, shes not your class"/
. . and "shes too expensive . . she'd dry up your a$s!/
plus "You'd fall ya hands dating her . . shes bigger than you . . times two"/
. . ." can't you see the way shes looking at you . . she doesn't like you!"/
The voices kept on . . giving me all pieces of notions/
By this time my head was in real commotion/
I didn't know where I got the courage from . . I just popped up like shells/
. . I had an adrenaline rush from ma adrenal gland to my cells/
their effect was felt abrutly. ./
cos a need for me to take action came up suddenly . . !/
My eyes opened wider/
. . and my mouth moistured with saliva/
My hair stood still like they were a bit apart/
and they took the resemblance of a forest to a creature like an ant/
. . I do not like approaching a chick just like that . . Not that kinda fella/
without anything bringing us together . . /
but on this memorable occassion . . it goes without mention/
I was going to make an exception!!/

. . . To be continued.

At least two of them!!!

Until then, don't wanna hear this rubbish.

In order for Mikel to play that role, Mata has to leave.

Mata will not be covering him like Sunday Mba.

So take your pick.

The team played really well.

All I would say to Keshi is why take a striker with one goal for a nearly relegated team (Akpala) and leave out a striker with umpteen goals for Everton (Anichebe).

Please stop this funny bizniz. Your team is the best Super Eagles team in years but Akpala, Babatunde, Gambo and Ujeh have no business there.

A drowning man will take you down with him if you approach him from the front.

1995 I was playing with friends in Ipukulu branch of Amadi Creek when ma mate NGO started drowning after stepping across a dredged section of the river and being swept out by waves from a flying boat. I tried approach him from the back to put him in a half-nelson and swim us to land but somehow the ninja grabbed me in a state of panic and started using my body as leverage to keep his head above water. The net effect was me cycling my feet underwater with my head below water whilst he was climbed over me, enjoying the fresh air whilst I was the one now in trouble. Realising I was drowning, I started punching him and trying to throw him off me and subdue him. Just when ma energy was draining I managed to fling him off and grab hold of him from his back, quickly levered my arm under his armpit, put him in half-nelson and swam him to shore. Since that day, I promised to be extra careful when approaching any drowning person in the water.

Andre Uweh: Chelsea fans, what do you think of E. Cavani, should Chelsea go ahead and buy him Now that Man City are no longer interested in him?.
I prefer Lukaku

Chelsea need to stop this obsession with betting the whole house on strikers. From Shevchenko to Torres, Roman Abramovic's strikerphilia has caused untold damage to Chelsea. There are many other positions that are more critical to Chelsea right now.

If we are talking strength and pace which are Cavanis selling points, Lukaku is stronger and faster than Cavani. Finishing about the same. Personality and influence on teammates are the same. Only difference is first touch, but it's not like Cavani built his game on touch.

Why chase Cavani when you have Lukaku?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:56pm On Jun 21, 2013
nateevs: Ramires' surge and pace are great attributes. It's the intelligence in his play that's lacking. This causes him to make the wrong decisions more often than not. Mistakes and JM don't live in the same room.

That said, perhaps JM could find a new role for him. However with the talent on board and the number rumoured to be coming in, I don't see Ramires being a Chelsea player for much longer. I hope I am wrong though because he is very useful.
Seems JM is a Ramires fan.

I know JM would always find a role for a ninja with 5 lungs, a bit like Tiago who he brought with him in his first season, but Jose should know his limitations. Anyway I trust Jose fully. As long as he doesn't give too much inch to Emenalo's intransigence in trusting the current DMs, his tactical knowledge will never leave Chelsea exposed in midfield, even if that means dropping Mata so Chelsea can play deeper.

This is a nonsense result.

Chile under-20 team just beat Tahiti 7-0.

I am fully expecting Uruguay to beat them no less than 12-0.

This means a draw against Uruguay will see us eliminated assuming we both lose to Spain

Without our two most important players (Onazi and Emenike), I have little hope for these boys.

El Guapo: Seen both Lads stir at their respective clubs and they're good in what they do, haven't watched them play together in an Orange shirt though.

Strootman would do the dictating cos thats what his footie is all about, he sits right before the back four In the games ve watched him, not too the kind that loves to Join the attack and his nice Vision and calmness on the ball augurs well with his game {More like Carrick}. Ginkel is the Lampard kinda midfielder.

So u can always expect Ginkel to do more of the 'off-the-ball-runs' when he's featured alongside a player of Strootman's calibre.

Question should be, do we even need Ginkel - A CM?

Mikel could Join Gala soon, think we should be thinking of a DM who's got the brute force, agility and positioning to do the yeoman Job for us not tis Ginkel kid talks.

Think ur dude Capoue is a fit too, seen couple of the WOW effects he brings to the Tolouse team - Dont I Jxt love Paulinho too!

Ettienne Capoue is Mikel with better speed, more mobility and better covering of defenders. Exactly what we need.

Van Ginkel looks more like Oscar playing slightly deeper.

Paulinho has the physical profile but a bit unrefined. Would take him though for the same money, I prefer Wanyama who is a bit better on the ball with the same physicallity or even better than Paulinhos. Only question about Wanyama is African age factor if not I take him with ma eyes closed.

Capoue is simply the best man that fits the profile for Chelsea, combining both domination of possession with physicallity. We need two though as neither Mikel nor Ramires cut it, I'd say gimme Capoue + one other . . Koke of Atletico, Paulinho, Wanyama, Gonalons or whoever.

Two ninjas like this would give likes of Mata freedom to play and be consistently successful. I also think Oscar could play one of the two positions with a bit of coaching from JM if he puts his mind to it but I wouldn't take that chance immediately.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Hazard Vs Neymar Vs Gotze by Ibime(m): 9:18pm On Jun 15, 2013
Gotze is the best by far. He is younger, stronger, more rounded, harder working and more influential. Most importantly, he has better mentality. He is never shut out of a game as Neymar is so often, and he doesn't wait for others to fetch him the ball like Hazard. In short, he is the only one of the three with no weakness in his game and no liability in any area.

He was leading Dortmund to Bundesliga at age 18 and was the best player and team leader. He repeated the feat at 19, then took them to UCL final at 20. Like a famous German legend said, a player like Gotze only comes around every hundred years.

Ado the Royal King crowned by all Okrika is a full Wakirike blood.

It is not your concern if his successors have Igbo blood unless you are ignorant of the custom that all slaves are conferred full rıghts of a son when accepted into the family through process of ritual.

Ados successors have Igbo blood cos Ado was a trader bringing products from the Igbo markets to the coast.

After conferring Kingship on Ado, you are now arguing nonsense about the lineage of his house members in contradiction to custom that a former slave can become a Waridabo.

Joke of the matter is that many Koniju (fishermen) have been marrying Igbos and Tuboniju (traders) over the centuries so any Koniju claiming pure blood is most likely mistaken.

barcanista: boy don't say what you don't know. There are indigenous Okrikans and there are those who were brought from igboland as slaves. I am a full-blooded Okrikan.
Not every igboman who came to Okrika came as slave although granted majority came as such. There are those who were proficient in trade who were invited to join and given land to settle. Some of these even brought their own slaves with them. Example, Samuel Chukukere Ogan, founder of Ogan ama. There is no single Tuboniju who cannot point to an Igbo ancestor or full igbo origin within the last 5 generations, whether slave or trader/settler.

And what's this nonsense about full-blooded Okrikan you are spouting here? There is nothing like full-blood and Okrika does not differentiate on şuch nonsense as we are all settlers. Wakirike - We are not different. Our town was founded on these principles by settlers from different areas. There is no şuch thing as full blood. Learn your history and stop spouting ignorance. As an Okrika man, make I tell una.

Okrika had the biggest port in South-East Nigeria before the port in Port-Harcourt was built in 1912 and Calabar around the same period.

Till today we still have big ships falling into Okrika occasionally.

Okrika people would ferry these goods (mainly clothes) to the big Ikwerre markets like mgbuoshini and other markets upstream, hence when second hand clothes are landing, Okrika is on it's way. Of course a lot more was traded than clothes. Okrika would buy Palm Oil from the Ikwerre and in turn Ikwerre and other Igbo traders would purchase fish and Western goods from the Okrika traders, but the clothes thing is what stuck because that was the good most in demand.

It was this trade that turned Okrika from a population of a few thousand to a population of half a million today as many Igbos became Okrika men because of the trade opportunities the area offered.
