Poor Benfica! They lost the Portuguese Cup final in the dying minutes. A treble lost in the space of two weeks.

Wassup ma ninjas!!!

Una deserve this one die!

The best counterattacking team in Europe, the most physically dominant team in Europe and now boasting the best central midfield in Europe since the decline of Xavi. Schweinsteiger has always been my 2nd favourite player behind Xavi, but now he's no1.

Please let's take this celebration to Arsenal thread. 40boi has been rewarded instantly for supporting a winning team, meanwhile all those magans on Arsenal thread who've been arguing with Dayo for years should know now that khaki no be leather.

It is natural justice for una to win in our hometown after we cheekily robbed you in your hometown last year!

Bayern is one of the greatest by far! Congrats!!!

nateevs: Good question. We'll most likely win the league next season, do well in the CL, probably win back to back titles. However, with this comes the insane spending, siege mentality, bad press, even less chances for youngsters, dismantling of the youth football framework, to name a few.

Is this the way to go, I guess time will tell.
Forget about the insane spending. £225m has been spent in the last 2.5 years for guys to be hailing struggling to qualify for UCL as a success. £225m spent on creating the worst performing and most unbalanced team in the Abramovic era.

I would rather such money was in JMs hand than the current jokers. Even if JM is uber-wasteful, he cannot spend £225m to produce the nonsense team that Emenalo produced. Even if we allow £50m as an act of Abramovic, he who spent £175m and produced a team with such weaknesses is a disgrace. I prefer Mourinho anyday.

Some of us Chelsea fans hope for a return to the days where a 1-0 lead means the game is over.

Wetin concern Chelsea with throwing away 2-0 leads?

Gone are the days when Chelsea fans watch a match with no dramas,

Despite the fact that Jose is not my cup of tea due to his behaviour, lack of longevity, poor transfer record, lack of interest in building a club and his mercenary nature of holding clubs to ransom for new contracts after his first year of service, what is undeniable is that Chelsea will be competing for titles, not celebrating UCL qualification. Hello?!!!

Roman and his minions have shown worse performance in wasting money and short-term thinking. Let Jose come and do it for them. . . with promise of trophies and a balanced team attached!

Dis ninja keeps talking Emirate Cup tins.

Where is the UCL fantasy thread? Exactly!

Who would boast about a competition no one is interested in?

I was even leading the UCL fantasy league by 50 points this season then dumped the competition due to lack of interest.

Yet some trophyless folk keep boasting of winning Emirates Cup.

I'm sure he's gearing up for Confederations Cup this summer so he can come back next season and tell us he won a trophy when no one was looking.

Meanwhile 09/10 was the first season FPL exploded. Mubz was the first league winner whilst Ipukulu claimed the FA Cup. Sun of a beach was trophyless. Thats 4 years of trophylessness.

Negro stop talking of Emirates Cup tournaments we neither know nor care about.

You've been playing FPL for four seasons with no trophy.

Captain Amangala has one league and one FA Cup to his name not to mention two runner up positions in FA Cup which Champions don't talk about

I would like to welcome Azpekuliar and Indomitables to the Hall of Fame winners enclosure. Sun of a Beach is barred from entry.

How did Nathan Ake perform in the midfield?

As for all the talk of Cavani, boys should open eyes and realise that Lukaku brings exactly the same thing to the table as Cavani.
Ibime: Thanks for the post. I didn't realize the cost of living would be so low there...was expecting more like the equivalent of $400 per month for a good apartment.
400 is what they charge to tourists on short term stay.

Hit the ground first, then find the real prices. Don't book anything from the internet. Obviously living in expatriate areas might carry a premium but not compared to Western prices.
I'm considering moving there. Anyone know how much food/accommodation/transportation/etc is likely to cost for a single man per month? In a safe neighborhood where expats live, basically.
Cost of living in Kenya is insignificant.

£1 will feed you well for a meal

£100 per month will rent you a decent apartment

In terms of safety, nothing to worry.

My fellow halfki sister.

Moving abroad might feel like a big challenge, but many of us have done it before and experienced exactly the same as you.

Please don't enrol on any arts course. You are young, and can afford to give up a year of your life. I did the same as an A-Level student, repeating a year by moving cities from a place where I was lonely to London where I had many friends. It does make a big difference to your academic performance.

I must warn that Glemorgan is not a piece of cake either, but you will be closer to your family and closer to London where there are many of your kind. Don't settle for any arts course mi sister, do what you must, wash your eye and don't look back.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 5:54pm On May 16, 2013
Association trained spot is not the reason Moses was chosen and given spot on the team. Don't gimme that nonsense.

In terms of association spot we only need 4 and already had Cahill, Cole, Lampard, Sturridge, Bertrand, Turnbull

Moses was signed because they wanted a winger/pseudo-striker so Torres would not feel under any pressure and also because of green passport tings.

I'm trying to understand at what point these players stop developing. Lukaku they say is going back out on loan. Thomas Kalas is doing splendidly at right back at Vitesse but they'll probably loan him again. KDB is ripe for first team action yet they are talking of another loan/sale. I don't even know what the plan is for Cech/Courtois situation. Not forgetting Piazon and Van Aanholt who can pad up the squad but who I will say could still profit from a Premier League loan.

Abeg wetin be this yarns wey KDB dey yarn say him done agree terms with Dortmund.

I don't understand our development policy sha. Victor Moses walks straight into the team with two years Premier League experience whilst KDB a Belgian league winner and best player of his teams in both Belgium and Germany is still considered a development player.

thegoodjoehunt: When Lukaku came to Chelsea, many didn't know what he was worth. Those who really believed in Lukaku were those who watched him play at Belgium or watched his debut against Ajax. I being one of them.

I didn't call him a flop. I said many of Chelsea fans I know called him a flop.

I used to convince them that he is a great player being played off position. All I would like to know, what convinced you that he was good. Did you watch him play at Belgium or any of his Europa Games?

His games at Chelsea were poor because he was playing off position.
Thank you!

It's best Shymmex be quiet cos frankly he's talking a lot but making a lot of errors

(1.) You are right. AVB played Lukaku as a winger in most of the meagre appearances Lukaku made

(2.) Moses has never been a striker

(3.) Sturridge has always been a deadly striker, and even when played on the wing managed 13 goals in half a season in 2012/13

(4.) Anelka is a striker in his own right. I don't know what nonsense Shymmex is yarning. In the only season he played as point man (first half of 08/09), he won golden boot. What does it matter if he doesn't hammer shot. The great Ruud Van Nistelrooy once went a whole season without scoring from outside the box and 99% of his goals were not from hard shots.
