A very brilliant Nigerian boy has scored an incredible 9 A1s in his WASSCE and 332 in UTME but will not be admitted to university for a some reason.

When David Okorogheye of Starfield College, Fagba, Iju, Lagos was preparing for the May/June 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), there were high hopes that by October he would be in the university.

With the 2018 results of the May/June WASSCE and UTME out and his stellar performance, his classmates and school, parents as well as relations concluded he will secure automatic admission or be among the first on the merit list of the University of Lagos.

They were wrong. Despite his sterling performance in both examinations, the Delta State born lad was denied admission on account of his age.

He is 15 years old and a candidate must be 16 years before he/she can be offered admission into UNILAG and some other universities in the country.

His classmates, teachers and family members have resigned to fate that in the 2018/2019 admission exercise, David will not participate due to age barrier. In fact, he was not part of applicants that wrote UNILAG post UTME test recently.

Report reaching Igbere TV  has it that some unknown gunmen today intercepted an aide of Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, a 2019 governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at post office and snatched a polythene bag containing some money.

The governorship hopeful's aide was reported to be returning from the bank when the ugly incident occurred.

All efforts of Igbere TV to ascertain the amount of money snatched from him at the time of writing this report proved abortive.

The APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole has told Ebonyians that governor Nweze Umahi will apologize for denying them the right to use PA Ngele Oruta township for their mega rally today.

In his words ;

"I hope he will apologize for denying the Ebonyi people, the use of their own stadium. I have been a governor in opposition party before in Edo state but I didn't deny the people deceiving people, poverty development party the right to use the stadium in my state ".

" Anytime Jonathan was coming to Edo state, I rolled out the red carpet for him even though I'm going to insult the party the next day. Umahi should learn how to show respect ".

Oshiomhole also assured his party members that Umahi will be kicked out of power to serve as an example to other governors who have failed their people.

Those in attendance include, former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Minister of Science and technology and other prominent APC members in the state.

Igbere TV reports that the Mega Rally was a huge success as mammoth crowd came out for the event.

The Ogun State chapter of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) was today officially inaugurated at Press house, Iwe Iroyin in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The epoch making event was supervised and coordinated by the Deputy National President, Comrade Peter Jones in company of the Ogun State National Union of Journalists (NUJ) Chairman, Comrade Wole Shokunbi.

The host, Ogun NUJ chairman in his welcome address, congratulated all members and the newly sworn-in inaugural State excos of the association for the epoch making event while urging all members especially the newly inaugurated executive members to remain competent, united and transparent in all their dealings and professional activities in line with the goals of the professional body, especially in the state.

In his opening remarks, the Deputy National chairman of OMPAN, Comrade Peter Jones clarified that the association is loyal to the parent body NUJ, particularly in the state and urged all members to remain strictly professional in their activities devoid of personal interests and other political undertones.

He also congratulated the newly “electively – selected”steering committee as interim excos saddled with the responsibility of managing the affairs of the Association in the state for the next 12 months before another General election is to be held amongst the members.

Subsequently, in his inaugural speech, the state Exco chairman, Comrade Kayode Akin – Samuel representing Falcon Times, thanked the NUJ chairman and the Deputy National president of the association for officially constituting the body in the state while charging his fellow Executive members and other members present to be cooperative and work collectively as a team towards moving the association forward, especially in the state.

Other newly constituted State officials include:

2. Michael Adesanya (City Voice) – Vice Chairman

It is no longer news that political tsunami descended on APC today after 15 Senators, 36 House Of Reps Members shocked Buhari and Oshiomhole by dumping the party despite their effort to make sure that such didn’t happen.

Oshiomhole just like PDP said has indeed come to bury APC. You may ask how? From his utterances so far, it is crystal clear that Oshiomhole doesn’t know what it takes to be the Chairman of a political party. From attacking Ngige, to telling his party members not to worry about Kwankwaso, Melaye and others who dumped their party because they are just like big masquerades who can’t deliver their units. Like seriously?

Since these people cannot deliver their units, why did you beg them to stay? Why did you send DSS, EFCC to block Saraki and Ekweremadu from going to the Senate chamber today? Why did you make juicy offer to the Senate President, according to report?

One thing is certain if Oshiomhole continues this way, and you may ask what it is. Oshiomhole has indeed come to bury APC ahead of 2019 election and help PDP retain power.

As 2019 election draws near everyday, a lot of events keep unfolding. It is no longer news that father Mbaka recently attacked Buhari again after he said that Buhari was caged last few weeks.

However, this time around he didn’t say that Buhari is caged like he told Omoyele Sowore, a presidential aspirant who visited him last few weeks.

This time, he told his followers that Disaster is coming and angels are warming up for Buhari.

With due respect, permit me to quote him here,

He said, “when the disaster comes, President Buhari will cry. Buhari is like an egg.The sheep are crying while the shepherd is doing nothing. A shepherd is meant to empathic”

Although he said many other things which I can’t quote him for now.

But is Mbaka really a man of God?

Did God really reveal to him all he said against Jonathan during 2015 election?

Is it actually God that told him to tell Nigerians that Buhari is prayer answered and that Nigerians need to support him wholeheartedly?

Is a man of God suppose to involve into politics even to the extent of telling his followers in Igbo language that “Na owuliri Nduru nke Jonathan elu, O ekweghi felu ma na nke Buhari feluri elu”?

Now, one thing is, Mbaka needs to apologize to his followers for misleading them in 2015.

He told Nigerians that Buhari needed their support to succeed and Nigerians did but Buhari failed despite the perennial support given to him.

It is good Mbaka has realized that he made a mistake in 2015 and is doing his best to correct the mistake now.

The question still remains, Is Mbaka really a man of God? Did God tell him all the things he said in 2015?

Meditate on the questions and try to answer it by yourself with what Mbaka told his followers in 2015 and what he is telling them now while you watch out for the part 2 of this article.

ACID ATTACK - HEAR HER STORY

Miss Nkiruka Jane Nnaji who hails from Amorji Akpugo in Enugu State is a very pathetic one. She did not offend anyone, neither did she offend the god’s.

Jane graduated from the NNAMDI Azikiwe University Awka, in 2016 and was awaiting her youth service before she suffered the acid attack.

“It happened on April 11, 2017 in Portharcourt. After my graduation I went into cosmetic business; I got a very small shop where I was managing. I was coming back from my shop that fateful day, at about 8:00 pm; I was walking to the house when I started hearing a male voice calling ‘Chi-chi’. I thought it was somebody that wanted to toast me; I thought it was a way of attracting my attention.

“I didn’t really give him any attention. When he kept calling that name I felt it could be a way of taking my phone or robbing me so I put my phone in my bag and in less than three seconds somebody tapped me on the shoulder.”

That was the beginning of a life of agony and pain for a charming young school leaver.

“Immediately I turned, he poured the substance which was in a small container on me and I screamed. He ran away while I was screaming and shouting for help. People came out, poured me water and eventually they took me to the hospital that very night.

“I was in the hospital in Portharcourt there for two weeks before I was referred to National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu. When I went to Orthopaedic, the next day they went on strike; I went into coma because then the wound had already been infected because the hospital where they took me wasn’t a burns hospital. So they did not take proper care of the wound so it was bringing forth pus and was smelling.

“So I went into coma and was rushed to a private hospital, Hill-top; it was there I had two surgeries and stayed there for 35 days after paying over N1m.

“I was taken back to Orthopaedic, by then they had called off the strike; it was there that I had the remaining three surgeries. So altogether I have gone through 5 plastic surgeries in the cause of this acid attack.

“Eventually I lost the two ears; I still have a contracture on the neck, and then the left hand, and then the hair at the back.

“I was referred abroad for the remaining surgery; the ear reconstruction, hair transplant and then the contractual release. I wrote to some hospitals in the United Kingdom where they gave me a bill of N23m just for the ear reconstruction. I decided to forget about them and I contacted India and they gay me N10m for the reconstruction of the two ears, the hair transplant, contractual release and a complete plastic hair surgery.

“So they billed me N10m. When they sent me their mail and the bill involved it wasn’t something to be happy about because I cannot afford such amount. We have already spent so much; my aunt had to go borrowing; she took loans and now she is not earning salary as they are taking back the money. All in her effort to make sure that I survive this attack.”

Jane’s parents are also not financially capable to pay the bills. Her parents live in Jos; her father is a retired soldier and is not working while the mum is doing nanny work in a nursery school.

Who could have done this to her?

I don’t know because I never quarreled with anyone. If I had quarreled with anyone may be by now I may have arrested the person. So I don’t really know. I take this to be a mistaken identity because the name he was calling wasn’t my name. My name is not Chi, or Chinyere or anything related to that. And the person didn’t wait to see the face of the Chinyere he was calling. So maybe he took me to be Chinyere and poured me that substance.

The suspect was caught.

Even that very night they say they caught the person. But they thought he stole my phone because they heard me screaming. They saw him with an android phone and they confronted him accusing him of having snatched the phone from the girl that was screaming. He said no it’s his phone. They said ok, if it’s your phone, call the number. They dialed the number and it rang and they gave him back the phone and he left. So it was while I was in the hospital the person brought the number to me. I called the police and gave my statement but they asked me to pay N70,000 to track the number alongside other expenses. I didn’t have much money and I needed even more for my treatment so couldn’t raise the money. After my statement they left and I didn’t hear from them again till today.

Upon her condition, Jane has refused to question God. “I know my God has a reason for whatever happens. He is still my God and has seen me through even when doctors gave me 30% chances of survival. I am grateful to Him for keeping me alive.”

She pleads for financial assistance:

I am soliciting for funds. I am begging the public and the government in any way they can assist me so that I can be able to go for this surgery. This surgery is just my life. I know I will not be ok, but at least after the surgery I will be near normal. I will be able to have my ears back and the stiff neck will be released. At least I can have myself back and then know what to do with my life. All I am pleading is just a way of helping me. I am really pleading and soliciting for this fund so that I will be able to go for the surgery in India.”

A bike man was hit by an unknown car and fled the scene another man driving say the man lying there still alive, he took the man to the hospital where he eventually died. The families of the man accused the good Samaritan of hitting the victim and asked him to fund the burial. So its not only the police, its all of Nigeria.

Another case is an accident victim was pull out of his car struggling for life and people were just standing there looking at him. A man that's a qualified first aid came to give him first aid then from no where he heard a voice speaking "if the man die na u we go hold" on hearing that he took his first aid kit and left. So u see its all of Nigeria. We have no the detectives. Even the police is shoot first and lie later. Normally you have no to shoot an unarmed man. But naija once they see u with dada, na shoot.
