@OP, He couldn't have being a woman. He had to be a man born of a woman to represent MANkind/huMANity. He had to be the last Adam, not the last Eve.

Lasinoh, quite an interesting fellow already. Watch that prison attitude, you definitely need more education, are you in school?
There's what's called friendship evangelism in church parlance. It involves a male becoming friends with another male, or a female becoming friends with another female, with an aim of preaching God's love and repentance to them.

Lasinoh, take it easy o, you're close to prison already without even grasping what the OP's said.
OP, it depends on many things, though chiefly on how the Holy Spirit leads you during the evangelism. The sinner MAY not be 'ready for harvest', he may need to be revisited, his case may need to be taken up by a male so as to make friends with, comfort, help, then preach to the sinner.
Christianity Etc › Re: Should I Always Expect Blessings Each Time I Give To God? by Image123(m): 10:26am On Jan 28, 2012
OP, I think yemisolar has answered your questions. Just to add that, it's okay to expect to receive when you give. You would receive when you give, either to God, man or dog. It's a 'principle/law' abi what do those talkers call it. Even Jesus said "give, and it shall be given to you". So when you give, either to God(as you said) or man, it will be given to you one way or the other. BUT, don't give just because you want to receive, that attitude is not spirikocolly correct. Give because God is a giver, and giving therefore is godly.

I think it's a poor way of trying to tell us that the story of rich man and lazarus is a parable, instead of real event. Sorry if that hurts the typist and his research. I find no big deal or truth revealed as claimed.

As a christian we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes you will be led to eat with thanksgiving, other times to abstain. There is no hard and fast rule. Just use your God-given wisdom and common sense always remembering to keep honor for God & love/respect for the other person as the only absolutes. Cheers.

Christianity Etc › Prophet T.b Joshua Versus Matthew 6v1,2? Really? by Image123(op): 12:47pm On Jan 14, 2012
Maybe it's the dearth of threads or the pollution of the religion section with so many muslin threads that's making the section look so boring to me. Anyways to fresh or neglected issues to talk about.
I don't regard T.B Josh as a true prophet of God, i think he's an hypocrite. But why does he seem to accurate fit Jesus' description of an hypocrite in the passage below? Please, maybe those his fans here can correct him, thanks.

"Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. " (Matthew 6:1,2).
Does he not want a reward from God, or is God not truly his Father?

His utterances are against scriptures . We don't attack rulers as Christians .

Exodus 22:28
Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

Romans 13:1
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Thanks for the reply and scriptures quoted. Shows am not the only one seeing this, i'm on the look out for 'interesting views' on this clear scripture passages.

At least Tunde Bakare is siding with the masses though one can't say he is poor and unable to afford their prices for new products, but what need is it to jack up the prices and embezzle the proceeds? MLK didn't wait for the other black Pastors to act before he did in the 60s did he?
And what has this got to do with the thread? Can you concentrate?

Can't really quote him verbatim. But among other things i've heard him say things like Jonathan would not sleep well. Maybe he's said worse but i recall that, and expect him as a bible student to show more maturity in his approach and criticisms. Even some so called unbelievers are protesting without inciting, swearing or cursing.

I don't spite Bakare, just like i don't spite the other pastors, G.Os and MOGs. But for years, i look at Bakare and look at the scriptures, and i'm continuously like "can't he see this?" OR "am i the only one seeing this?"
Compare his utterances, for instance, in the last few days of civil protests, in the light of the scripture passage below, are his utterances defensible?

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; " (Matthew 5:44).

Every human being loves himself, and that's not bad. What's bad is loving yourself more than others OR loving others more than yourself. The command is still love your neighbour AS yourself. All worshippers worship either because they don't want to get hurt, or they want something. All humans are born worshippers, there's that natural crave and instinct to worship. Fulfilment is in worship. Non-worshippers deny their nature and will never be fulfilled,Amen. True worshippers worship Jehovah.

Are there Mathematicians in the house? If FG loose #320bn daily due to this Strike, that means in 5days the strike started tomorrow FG would have lost #1.6 Trillion Naira.

Mathematically  #320billion X 5 Days = #1.6 Trillion Naira

If FG can afford to loose 1.6 Trillion Naira in just 5 Days, then why the Subsidy? I don't understand why FG have to cut off a head because of headache, instead they should prosecute the Cabals who are not bigger than Nigeria and wants the masses to suffer for their Fraud.

Our Voice must be heard for once. #65 or Nothing.
PapaBrowne:
No the FG wasn't loosing 320 Billion daily!
If there were any losses, and the figure is true, it is the Nigerian people that lost that amount daily.
The FG gets majority of its money from oil production and not from personel taxes, hence the impact on the F's finances is almost Nil.

So, how much does the government  make daily. What numerical impact does the strike have on the nation's economy(i guess that's one of the things fg's trying to save). Who is the cabal?(i'm guessing it's the populace here).

I don't get the logic please. Price per litre is 141, and the government was paying subsidy, populace paid 65. Now, in an attempt to punish 'the cabal'(and turn nigeria to heaven as a plus), populace now pay 141. As a common man, how does that punish 'the cabal'? Am i the cabal?
How does 1.3trillion made from selling to the nigerian populace in a year solve all nigeria's problems, when nigeria makes more than 1.3trillion in a week selling to the world/exporting?
