Career › Re: Berger Paints Sacks All Staff by InvertedHammer: 2:57pm On Jun 19, 2017

https://i0.wp.com/www.primebazemedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Berger-Paints-allegedly-sacks-all-staff-1.jpg

All staff of Berger Paints have been dismissed. Information has it that, The staffs are said to have been on strike for the past 2 weeks because of the new living wage implemented by the company.

The new wage stops gratuity payment and adds the money to staff’s monthly salary, so that upon retirement, you get no gratuity. The new policy was said to have been implemented in 2015, which was used to create an impression of Salary increment.

Reports also has it that the management didn’t consult the staff on the matter before its implementation.

The staffs got to know about the policy recently this 2017, and then proceeded with the strike.

They have now been sacked and told to reapply if they are still interested in working for the company.

I don't get it. If the gratuity is added to their salaries, couldn't they take the money and invest/save the fund themselves? Did they consider the plight of the ones that retired in Nigeria and cannot access their gratuity/pension? I think the strike was unnecessary.

Please that guy is a NURTW chairman at best, no sane igbo person take him seriously!!
In democracy, the majority carries the vote.
The okada riders are the ones living the Nigerian life not the oga in his air-conditioned office in Abuja. The same ogas you continued to vote in that have made your existence in this world a miserable experience just because they walk and talk polished. They steal you blind but you hail them. But the dejected okada riders you hate will get a " tire and matches" treatment because you consider them subhumans.

You need your head checked.

1) Can't Evan say something like... "I won't talk till I see my lawyer?"

Maybe he can't, because they must have tortured him a lot.

Look at his left eyes, you could see the blood patch there.

What is the difference between that and Jungle Justice??

or because he isn't dead yet?
Someone that only stopped at JSS2 cannot reason up to that level. I will be surprised if he can spell his names correctly.

Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu Not A South East Leader Of Thought- Presidency by InvertedHammer: 8:41am On Jun 19, 2017
Only the people can choose their leader.

Historically any time a government picked stooges as representatives of the masses, it'd always ended badly. Eg. Boko Haram chose Buhari as their negotiator. But FG chose the ones they preferred to be BH negotiators. Then the carnage continued. Biafrans decided they will follow Kanu. But FG prefer to negotiate with contractors and politicians. Some of the politicians cannot even win a fair election in their wards. Yet they are picked to represent the interests of a whole tribe.

I disagree. She petitions for a divorce and serves him through a process server. If the process server cannot locate him, she will publish the summon in a newspaper and that is acceptable as the last resort. If he fails to respond after a designated period, the judge will sign the divorce paper. His signature is not needed. The only thing that matters is the signature of the judge. Abandonment alone is a ground for divorce. If she wants a divorce, she should know how to get it.

The ex-wife is just seeking for an attention.

Phones › Re: Why I'll Never Use A Memory Card In My Life Again by InvertedHammer: 8:38am On Jun 18, 2017
Osaki07:
2 simple reasons I stopped using an sd card

Sd card (aka "memory card) also known as external memory, of course is a common possession among Nigerians but such is not the same with other countries as they use modern features such as "Cloud storage" it's like..unfortunately Nigeria is still a bit far from adapting this trend.
So in this post, I'm gonna explain to you the bads of using an sd card and hopefully convince you in using other easy storage option such as Cloud storage
so first I'm gonna start with the disadvantages of an sd card.

1. It makes your phone lag..
Have you ever notice or have ever tried comparing your phone startup speed? (that is the time it takes to power on or off??)
..well if you have ever tried it, you'll notice that you phone boots(startup) faster without sd card especially those with bigger memory size such as 64,128,256GB..that's why flagship such as the Xiaomi mi6 and even the upcoming Essential PH-1 are been released without sd card slot.. so the whole point here is to tell you that, an sd card could cause your phone to lag or probably hang..also take note that it might not be noticeable in some phones with advance and the latest processors such as those with "snapdragon SoC" or recent "mediatek chipsets series".

2. virus attacks
Of course almost everyone is aware of this ugly fact..sd card are very prone to virus and the only solution is to format it and in the process you tend to lose all your valuable data such as music, videos, pictures, e. t. c

so, yeah..that's all for now I hope you were a bit convinced
p. s :I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a memory card, all I'm trying to say is that..next time when getting a new device, go for those with big internal memory so that you can avoid the stress of buying an sd card and also the consequences that comes with it.
Until the cloud get hacked...

Everyone is talking about $1m ransom. Some victims paid N400m and N200m which at the N150/$ rate back then would be equivalent to $2.7m and $1.3m respectively.

OP so what you are trying to tell me is that this man wearing native made of cheap Okene brocade can afford $1.2million??

I refuse to believe that sir.
If you see real wealth you will never believe it because you are used to seeing noisemakers in tokunbo SUVs and gold chains.
For example: if Dangote, Peter Obi, Zuckerberg, Bill Gates walk around in your street (assuming you have never seen their pictures), you will definitely mistake them for some Joe-six-packs.

Because it will die a premature death.

I feel so bad.
Nigeria as a whole doesn't have premium Gas.
It's a disgrace.
Ghana has premium

@autojoshng
How did you arrive at your figure that this car costs 240million.
The Bentayga in the picture looks stock with a mansory body kit

A brand new 2018 Bentley Bentayga with zero zero mileage can be purchased for $215,000 and above.
Let's say you buy the one in the picture for
$217,200 x 370(dollar rate) = 80,364,000
Container Shipping $5,000 x 370 = 1,850,000
Full Import duty Highest 40million naira. = 40,000,000
Total of = 122,214,000 million Naira. 122M

And am %70 sure the owner of the one in the picture didn't even pay full duty.
Of course the N240m is an exaggeration but not unexpected from Nigerians that know how to blow "cost" out of proportion.

But then, because the list price says $216k does not mean that you go to the dealership and write a check of $216k and the car is yours. Tax, delivery charge, etc will definitely add a big chunk to the final price.

Compared to Mercedes GLE and BMW X6, the Bentayga is a waste of money. The owner is just driving a label and Nigerian roads/okada/danfo will make him/her regret the purchase. The dude that recorded it almost got the Nigerian stamping (aka dents) started.

Load up on US dollars. The Feds has signalled that it stands willing to raise interest rate as US economy improves. Today it was 1/4% interest rate increase.

Also, crude oil price is back below $50 / barrel. CBN will run out of funds for interventions soon.

CBN will learn the hard way. Interventions in the currency markets are usually temporary relief. Russia, Japan, Switzerland and even US tried it and failed woefully. It is either the FG wants to fix the economic fundamentals that undermine the naira or they will continue throwing money after bad money.

Yes.

Because the employer will have access to all their details remotely stored in a database. Install a keylogger in the systems and the employers need not bother anymore about employees' secrets.

Using a company's system is like asking an employee: If an employer gives you a loaded gun, will you shoot yourself?
