AtlanticBreeze:Black people's brains are wired to emotions and not logic. Why do you think that no black nation is developed in the real sense of it? |
I don't know what MMM is but I will say this: Since it is a short-term loan, play to make money. It seems like a big risk that sounds good but will fail when saturated. It sounds very good just as CDO, subprime mortgage, Wonder banks, etc did a few years back before crashing. Get what you can out of it while it still exists. But... 1. Don't be greedy. 2. Play with money you can afford to lose. Goodluck! |
It comes down to what I said. Everyone in Nigeria wants to own a hotel. Go to Owerri and Enugu. Every street has a hotel. Government should encourage factories and industries. That's how a nation grows. / |
kilokeys:/ You hang out with goons? \ |
/ The biggest obstacle to saving and investing money is that you don't have it. \ |
/ The funny thing is that the sucker couldn't understand google's definition of Jeep as a brand. \ |
rhymaster:/ Just acknowledge that you don't know anything about motor vehicles. A good start will be to go online and type " x users/owners review". Replace x with any vehicle brand and model of your choice. You will read a litany of woes about every class of vehicles some even a few weeks/months on the road. Forget about reviews from PR/marketers like Motor Trend, J.D Powers, etc. The worst hit are usually European and American vehicles because of electrical/electronics and gear boxes respectively. Why do you think Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar and other high end vehicles depreciate so fast? Because off the lots, users find out the hype they bought and cannot wait to dump it on the next unsuspecting buyer at give away prices. Like I always say, cars are pain in the bvtt. Any vehicle driven on Nigeria roads for 2 years with minimal fault deserves an A+ rating. \ |
Ken4Christ:/ The problem is not with blaming the past government. The issue people have with PMB government is that they blame yet they fail to arrest, prosecute and incarcerate. It makes mockery of the whole exercise. Arrests and bails are not effective ways of fighting crime. They must be followed up with prosecution and incarceration. What happened to graft cases against FFK, Metuh, Dasuki, etc? As a President, Buhari was elected on the promise that he will act decisively. Instead he is still campaigning after winning the election. Take a look at the new President of Phillipines. He is equally old but his actions are speaking louder than his voice--no room for political correctness. \ |
No big deal. Nigerians live for the moment and on hope. Paying N290k for a phone is idealistic as a typical Nigerian is not expected to plan life beyond one year. |
/ I heard that it has more to with unrealistic expectations than career and hook ups. They are waiting for the perfect man with foreign accent, billions in account and at least 6ft in height. They snub potential mates only to fall for the giggolos who understand the game and "pose right" culminating in "stories that touch the heart" in a few years down the line. \ |
/ That's normal. We are talking about savages and BT-1000s. They live for nothing and die for anything. Rule #1: Don't be caught lacking or they will smoke on your pack. \ |
/ I still don't get what is it about black people showing off money they have. Does showing it make any difference? \ |
Look at your dad and grandfather. It is hereditary. Ever considered hair transplant surgery? You may resort to clean cut (bald) to make it even. \ |
vivaciousvivi:LOL |
Simple. Switzerland should tell Nigeria to go collect the money and wash her hands off. As a sovereign nation, Nigeria should find ways to secure her funds and not asking Switzerland to do her dirty jobs after the deed is done. Switzerland should make it a policy to confiscate any funds lodged illegally into her banks. Then the money will be gone for good. Falana should know that Nigeria cannot expect to be treated like an adult when she keeps behaving like a child. Switzerland gave the conditions because they mean well. Past experience shows that if not in Switzerland, the fund will be domiciled in private accounts in a different country after repatriation to Nigeria. \ |
The fact is that Nigeria is overpopulated. There is not enough money to go around or take care of 180m people. I guess that's why ebola was introduced to burn through the population but was thwarted. Suckers won't stop procreating. |
vivaciousvivi:You really know the pricing. What is a fair rate in your estimation or experience? |
Sonsofbitches:/ Nigerians are psychologically conditioned to see military men as superhumans short of robots. In an altercation, mention military and your opponent will immediately cower in defeat. Semper fi! \ |
/ Good for her. But joining US Army is an easy way out. There are recruiters all over campuses enticing students. Sign the dotted line and you are in. \ |
/ Lifetime salaries to a 95-years old? Interesting! \ |
Dr. Omalu got it wrong. A plausible explanation is that Clinton's uncles in the village are fanning her destiny in a calabash. \ |
/ I am surprised that they still have jobs. Two options-- massive sack or drastic salaries cut. It is inevitable. \ |
Sack all of them. Federal employment is a huge drain in the economy. It is a reward process whereby relatives of people in power are offered positions where they have no meaningful input but keep drawing huge monthly salaries. The FG should embark on creating jobs in manufacturing, farming, etc that produce tangible products. Hiring folks to just sleep in different ministries is counterproductive. If in doubt, take a walk into Ministries in Nigeria as early as 10am. It will seem like there is a sleeping competition going on. Why? Because there are no duties/responsibilities for them. They are just filling the quota system. \ |
NOI has nothing to offer Nigeria. Nigeria's economy is the easiest to manage. Sell oil, get the proceed, use some and embezzle the rest. How hard is that? Low oil price has made the masquerade dance naked in the market square. The economy is in recession because the leaders have no slightest clue on what a real economy is. Thus they are resorting to trial and error with the hope that something will work somehow. This macabre dance of shame will continue until oil price goes up and we are back to business as usual. Put Okonjo back in as the Minister of Finance and nothing will change. \ |
/ It is not your fault. The issue is that when she looks at you, she gets mad at herself because you were her second choice. But you don't know it. \ |
knightsTempler:/ Jail and death couldn't deter drug barons. Do you think preaching will? As long as the demand is there, someone will always think they can outsmart Drug Enforcement agencies. \ |
/ There is nothing spectacular about it. I went for a test-drive in one. There is no significant difference between Marcan and Cayenne. The Cayenne is a little bigger. The interior and exterior are pretty much the same. But of course, motor trend magazines will hype it up until people catch up to their antics like they did in the useless Land Rover evogue whose main saving grace is the aesthetic appeals. \ |
For you aspiring criminals, learn a thing or two from Pablo Escobar, El Chappo, Kashamu, Christopher Coke, and other drug lords...the first attribute is to be a philanthropist. |
/ I believe the man can get someone else to do the marketing for N5000 per deal. I think once your school resumes, he will do so. He may even do the marketing by himself since you have already "watered" the ground for him. By next semester, he will tell you "No job". Then you can get your own premises, deliver the lectures and pocket all the N30k. \ |
/ I love the fact that it seems that Buhari is chasing SE/SW/SS looters. If Jonathan or OBJ had chased NE/NW/N Central looters, Nigeria would have been in a better position. If it is a witch-hunt, let it continue. The southerners misused their opportunities to develop the south. Their problems! Nobody is fighting for the masses. Rather the masses are saying, "They protected your looting, so you should protect their looting. If you intend to chase looters, chase all looters". Too bad the world doesn't work like that. Buhari is not there to fight the war your cowardly southern Presidents refused to fight. The world is not utopia. The fact that the SS/SE/SW are still defending the losers from their ends that acted as Presidents for 14years goaded by the few profiteers in their midst is mind-numbing. OBJ couldn't fix Lagos-Ibadan ecpressway in his backyard. Atleast GEJ finished the Benin-Ore freeway. A typical Igbo man will stand in traffic for hours crossing the rickety River Niger bridge, then proceed through the hell called Enugu-Osha expressway yet continue to shout "GEJ hero" because the likes of Arthur Ezeh, Peter Obi, Uba clan, Achike Udenwa, Iwuanyanwu, etc (all profiteers) convinced them to say so even when facts on the ground are pointing otherwise. Buhari needs to tighten the belt more. I now believe that Buhari is a God-sent President to reset the brains of Nigerians. Most people usually learn the hard way. A bag of rice at N100,000? That will be awesome! \ \ |
Sermwell:/ Your partner is a good man. \ |
