bigtt76:/ It is not going to get better any time soon. Nigerians are busy pursuing rats while their houses are burning. I can't wait for the elections to be over with so that reality will sink in. Then all the goodies must have been exhausted and shouts of Sai Buhari or GEJ2019 fail to bring food to the table. Nobody is keen on asking important questions to the candidates. My take? Why bother. Na as you make your bed na so you go lay on it. To protest or carry placards for fuel price increase, unemployment, strikes, etc. will be a little too late then. |
PhockPhockMan:/ This is the best you could do? LOL. Did you hear that APGA is threatening fire and brimstone because GEJ is not campaigning in the SE like he did in the SW recently? I laughed out loud on the naivety of Igbo people. Igbo people pledged unalloyed and "unconditional" support for GEJ. Thus they are inconsequential. They intend to give out their votes for free in Nigeria. The Yoruba people held off until GEJ went down with bags of dollars to beg for their support. Will they vote for GEJ? No one can guarantee that but at least they got something out of it. Now Igbo people in the SE are salivating for dollars. It ain't gonna happen. It is like a woman who gives it out for free demanding respect. By the way, igbo people will never smell the presidency in the next one hundred years because they are political infants. Power is never handed out for free. They are expecting a situation where all the other tribes will come together and hand it out to them because it is the turn of Igbo people. Dream on! And what's with igbo people berating their fellow Igbo people for joining any political party of their choice? SMH. The lot of ever-gullible Igbo people remains same in Nigeria no matter the political affiliation. The fact remains that every tribe in Nigeria loves money equally as the Igbo people, the only difference is that others know when and how to use such pecuniary love as bargaining chips. But Igbo people are willing to settle for peanuts or worse, unfulfillable promises like the ones made to a prostitute during the deed. There are more than ten political parties in Nigeria. So how does lack of support for GEJ automatically equate to love for GMB? Igbo people are phony politically. There you have it. |
/ THANK YOU FR.MBAKA. ...FOR SPEAKING UP AND PUSHING JONATHAN TO ACTION. ...WAITING FOR ENUGU-ONITSHA EXPRESSWAY TO BE DONE TOO. \ |
AllNaijaBlogger:/ I don't have any problem with it. Any fellow who can gather people together and convince them to part with their hard-earned money under the pretext of reserving a space in heaven (which actual existence no one can confirm) deserves all the luxury he can afford. Do you see me worried? No! The pastor can drive and fly whatever he/she Likes. For one, I know my money is not involved. A big fish has to.swallow small ones to remain big. Givers...continue to give because your rewards are in heaven. But the pastors prefer their rewards here on earth because they don't believe what they are selling. SMH \ |
PDPwayoo:/ I just had to google it. It is sad how a First Lady was turned into a sexual toy by ranks and files of CDI's army. She let her ambition ruin her. She thought her people are mumu. If the same people that chanted for Jesus into Jerusalem could turn around and ask for his crucifixion, who do these people think they are? This election saga may not end well. \ |
/ If good leadership relies on physical rather than mental capacities, Dick Tiger and Power Mike would have been presidents of Nigeria at some point. All these window-dressings would have been avoided if GEJ had leveled with the citizens. If GMB wins this election, it is not because he is any better than GEJ. Rather it will be from spiteful votes against GEJ. The greatest enemy of GEJ is not GMB but Patience Jonathan. She is one crude lady everyone loves to hate. \ |
/ Elections bring out the worst in all. \ |
/ No advice needed especially for someone referred to as a nigger. \ |
9jatriot:/ Then he is a bad business man because if the government changes and his opponent wins, knowing Nigeria and her peculiar issues, DAARs Communications will cease to exist. OBJ and ElRufai played such dirty politics well through demolition Derby in Abuja. \ \ |
/ By mere looking at the picture, any Aruba kid will know that the content of the pot is not secured. Raise the chain a little bit...slide out the cover...gel yourself....replace cover. Finish and form sleep with one eye open, the cane is coming! Don't ask me how I know. \ |
/ Life in Nigeria is the primary evidence to prove the existence of God. Otherwise, how people survive some catastrophic events amazes me. No Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Basic Life Support algorithm initiated, yet the victim may survive. \ |
/ Any rebuilding that does not start with safe return of the girls is deceptive and condemnable. You cannot put the cart before the horse. No encomiums necessary and proper for this government at this time. \ |
/ Fix the roads, repair the refineries, pay workers when due, fix the power problem. Ensure the law enforcement officers live up to their responsibilities, etc. If success depends on certificates, Bill Gates and Zuckerbergs of this world will be janitors because they don't have college degrees. A lot of Igbo billionaires and millionaires for example went through informal education by doing "boi boi" for oga and getting settled after years of services. You cannot match their management acumen no matter the multiple MBAs you have. They built something from nothing. We keep hampering on certificates without asking the reason why the law was made. GEJ has Ph.D, yet he cannot differentiate left from right. Up until recent months, his actions and flip-floppy positions from FIFA ban, BH crisis, to any vital decision you can think of did not help matters. A good leader takes decisive actions no matter how unpopular. At this juncture, Nigeria does not need oratory prowess, we need action. Ezeife had Ph.D from Havard and could not turn the fortunes of Anambra State. It took the arrival of Ngige to bring the change. The former governor of Enugu paraded high towering degrees and was a colossal failure until Gov. Chime came in. Take a look at Fani Kayode, has he done anything laudable with all his degrees acquired with money looted by his father? Some of you lounging around in NL has multiple degrees and have nothing to show for it because you fail to think about the box. Yeah! So much for degrees and certificates. Herd followers are bound to fail. We need Nigeria to be revamped as a matter of urgency. If it will take a monkey to do it, I will vote it. |
/ Who go test the soup first? Just to make sure mama Iya Kareem no garnish am with "forget-me-not"? \ |
Buy Nokia 3310 and leave your SIM in it. Leave it wherever is convenient for you for business only. Then get a new line for your main phone. If your boss doesn't know your new number, how is he going to perform his tracking magic on you? And I mean the word "magic" in every sense of it. There you have it. |
I think when one acts in a certain one, the lady should try to ascertain why before jumping into conclusions. A person may decide to stay from his/her family for some stories that touch. Ex. The Nanka dude that killed his brother. If the brother had stayed away from the killer younger brother, does that make him bad for marriage? I think some of these lists are personal opinions and should be presented as such especially knowing that there are quiet a lot of young people on NL that may need guidance in life. There you have it. / |
/ So what's all the fuss about? It is either the list is incomplete or people are embellishing the cost of marrying from Mbaise. I even heard that a suitor must distribute motorcycles and grinding machines to every woman of the bride's kindred. Mbaise people need to take some actions to counter the negative impressions people have about marriage in that zone. / |
/ The documentary is an indictment of GEJ. It shows that Tinubu is very corrupt and GEJ as a president who condones corruption is allowing him move freely in the society when there is enough evidence to prosecute him. GEJ's handlers are getting away with all these blunders only in Nigeria. \ |
2sExy1:/ Thanks a lot. That's exactly what I am looking for. I will look him/her up. \ |
CityNG:/ Do you mind sharing some pictures of your findings in.Ibadan? \ |
/ I am in a serious dilemma. Each time I see houses in Nigeria, they follow a predictable pattern and style. That is POP, Stone-coated roofing, round pillars, etc. It seems that everyone builds with any style that is en vogue and run with it just like we had round-cornered houses, long-span,etc. Remarkably, I have been to houses where it seems that whoever did the POP work was partially blind--irregular arcs, crooked lines, etc. Coming to my dilemma, I want to build a house but I want a style that is unique--something modern and unique like the picture shown below. Can one get builders who can do it well especially in the East ( notorious for bad workmanship)? \ cc: Spyder880, CityNG, mufutau55, FastShipping. I started work on the fence on a 2 plots of land last month. I intend to use marble on the fence. Currently, the wall has been raised to 10 coaches above ground and the gate has been mounted this week. I will send in pictures by next week as soon as I get updated picture.

/ There is no need apportioning blame. US dollar is up against a basket of currencies. Euro is not fairing any better. It could be 1:1 for Euro vs. US dollar in the nearest future. Some countries may get hit harder than others especially poor nations like Nigeria (one-eyed man among the blind--Africa's biggest economy indeed). It is what it is. CBN intervention will only make it worse. Let naira float in the open market because Nigeria does not have the financial prowess to intervene effectively. The most CBN should do is verbal interventions to shake out speculators until they call its bluff and then it will intervene--surprise factor. After few months of this cat and mouse game, speculators will let go and naira will start to appreciate. And talking about Okonjo Iweala and the statistics of her imagination, I quote ipsissima verba, "Facts are stubborn things, but statistics are more pliable[flexible].”― Mark Twain. “There are three types of lies -- lies, damn lies, and statistics.”― Benjamin Disraeli There you have it \ |
erico2k2:/ Really? Do you think the diploma he earned from the military college in USA is equivalent, less or more than WASC? Do not forget to factor the phrase "minimum requirement" in your consideration and answer. In all the noise about certificate, Nigerians have forgotten the essence of the minimum requirement and what it is intended to achieve. There you have it. \ |
Read the article again and the statement is very noticeable "Nigeria is projected to expand by 4.9% this year". It is a prediction which is as accurate as the yearly predictions we get from pastors at the beginning of every year. Nothing about the statement should be celebrated. That's all. \ |
erico2k2:/ They did. If GMB attended military college in USA, that is a proof that WASC is a non issue unless it can be established that he forged the certificate he used in gaining admission to the college. This should be the least of the problems facing Nigeria. It is diversionary. \ |
/ If they are being owed salaries in arrears and the work place is not very accommodating, the victim of their frustration will be patients. Perhaps that's what is happening in the industry. \ |
nationwide1:/ Do you understand the meaning of "minimum"? The requirement is "minimum of WASC or its equivalent". If I need the minimum of $100 to qualify for an event and it has been established that I have $1000, why would you dwell on insisting that I show you a $100 bill to prove that I have $1000? This WASC issue is becoming stale, nauseating and childish. \ |
KoloOyinbo:/ Roger that. Thanks \ |
/ So you are telling me that the interstate and international boundaries are very distinct at night from up there as depicted in this picture? I don't believe it. \ |
Everyone is talking as if oil has bottomed. What if oil ever goes to $30/barrel? The good thing is that everyone shall live with the decision he/she makes. Sai Buhari or Sai GEJ on top one bag of rice? Ok. Person wey dey dash you rice no be father Christmas o! All expenses must be recouped. / |
Raise some money and have your husband start a side business. Or one of you can relocate first to test the environment. Immigration documents wahala will make getting a job very difficult. In less time, desperation will set in and you regret your life. Do you think the amount you realize from the sale of your asset will be enough to foot your education bills and living expenses? I don't think so. All the money you will spend on this trip should be enough to start a thriving business if your husband is industrious. As per forex, he is wasting his money. In broker's lingo, they call it 90:90:90---90% of traders will lose 90% of their funds in the first 90 days. Some people want to live in denial and that's the fact. God forbid he uses an unscrupulous broker that will disappear with traders' fund. I don't think you are financially stable enough to embark on this journey. \ |
