How is it possible to share nigeria along the lines of religion? i can't understand that because we have enough christains in the north and enough muslims in the south too. how do you seperate the muslims in the south and the christains in the north? How do you do with the yoruba people that have christians and muslims in almost each family? You can only share nigeria on the basis of tribe/region which will not even stop the fighting and corruption we are experiencing, and not on the basis of religion, it won't just work.

i dont care wat u say, Middle Belt my backside, they are all tryna cut themselves off now, before they were all clingin to the North,

HAUSA PEOPLE ARE the downfall of NAIJA, grin grin grin
Guy, you are correct. They are just trying to cut themselves off now because the core hausas have turned against them too. Danjuma was among those who killed Aguiyi Ironsi; Danjuma was among those who killed so many igbo officers during the 1966 counter coup and mutiny; and somebody is trying to call another person a slowpoke for referring to TY Danjuma as a northerner or hausa man. Danjuma was among those that spearheaded the civil war where millions of igbos were killed. Gowon, Danjuma, Damkat Bali, Joe Garba, Buhari, IBB, Abdulsalam, Shagaya, Victor Malu, David Mark, etc are the same people, AREWA.

See RAF guys, very neat and smart. But our Nigerian Air Force guys are like sick cows where ever you see them in their shabby uniforms like boys scout.

PoliticsRe: What Utter Madness - Civil Defence Corps Now To Carry Arms by ishmael(m): 1:47pm On Mar 02, 2010
Why arm civil defence? that means they are no longer civil defence but soldiers. na wa for nigeria. Very soon boys scout and boys brigade will be carrying arms in nigeria. May God help us.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Hnd Holder Vs 3rd Class Bsc Holder, Who Has More Advantage To Secure A Job? by ishmael(m): 12:30pm On Feb 24, 2010
In terms of getting a job, it depends on what the employer wants. In Nigeria preference is given to Bsc holders with 2.1 and 2.2 against HND holders, but people with 3rd classdon't get that preference.

Devonian:
Are you aware that with the same SSCE results which qualified you to enrol on a 2-Year OND programme in Nigeria, you will enrol directly on a 2-Year HND programme in the UK, and it will take you only 2 years to gain your HND without necessarily spending 2 years studying for OND and another one year doing IT. The reality is this: red bricks universities in the UK wouldn’t accept HND, on its own merit, as equivalent of BSc. This is because 2 years studies after GCSE gets you HND if you go vocational route or GCE Advanced Level if you go down the academic route. Typically, after your A Level you spend 3 further years to get your BA/BSc, longer for courses in Engineering, Dentistry, Architecture, Medicine, etc. Normally, HND holders enrol on top-up courses in order to gain their BA/BSc. Surely, if HND equals BA/BSc, there wouldn’t be any need to go on top-up courses in order to gain bachelor’s degrees. If you're applying to UK, US and CANADIAN universities which says minimum requirement to gain entry unto a PG course is 2.1 BA/BSc, I doubt, you'll ever get in with your HND with Distinction. Besides, BA/BSc First Class can enter PhD programmes, HND with distinction wouldn't be allowed to take such a leap.

The problem with Nigeria is that the British came and instituted systems/structures, half-a-century after, we're still operating the same systems/structures in Nigeria when the British had long dispensed with such systems/structures. GOOD LUCK.
HND in Nigeria is quite different from HND in the UK, so also is Nigerian Bsc different from Uk Bsc. HND in in Nigeria is a 2-year program. You can be admitted into it only if you have a 2-year ND pls 1 year Industrial training. A Bsc in Nigeria is a 4-year program. You are admitted into it with O' levels credits in GCE or you spend 3 years if you are admitted with A'levels. whereas in the UK it is 3 years you spend to get a Bsc.
PoliticsRe: No Data Record In Nigeria by ishmael(m): 7:04pm On Feb 23, 2010
It's so sad that the government of nigeria don't even know the significance of taking and keeping statistics. some of the staff in the bureau of statistics are not qualified to be there in the first place so how do you expect them to even know what to come out with? Nigeria is just like a a blind man being led by a blind man. No statistics , no proper planning, and no proper planning no development, that is it.

my view is that north is north.arewa is arewa.that middlebelt thing is bullsh**t.apart from benue, the rest of the north want igbos wiped from earth.adekunle was acting out what his northern lords ordered him.gowon needs to be tried for war crime.

you are very wrong here man! Benue people killed igbo people most during the civil war. Igbos who had escaped death from the core north were killed in makurdi, oturkpo and utonkon railway stations, few kilometers to their homes in the east. Benue people enlisted more into the Nigerian Army at that time and were used to fight the war.

Guy they are still part of Arewa, so don't exhonorate them here. Are you from Benue?

PoliticsRe: Acting President Goodluck Jonathan Addresses The Nation by ishmael(m): 8:40am On Feb 10, 2010
The first thing he should do for me is to remove the FCT minister and put a new person from the south-south or south-east there. Have you ever asked yourself why is FCT ministry always headed by a fulani? is it part of their caliphate? Must the minister always come from the north? After they will say one nigeria!!.
PoliticsRe: Middle Belt Youth To Yar’adua: Hand Over To Jonathan by ishmael(m): 6:37pm On Feb 09, 2010
You are not getting me well. i mean the fulanis really need the middle-belters so much for economic purposes and as such it will be hard to seperate the fulanis from the middle-belt. can you remove hausa/fulani completely from plateau? can you remove them from nassarawa? can you remove them from adamawa, taraba and niger? can you remove them from the southern part of kaduna? can you remove fulanis frm kwara? are those hausa/fulani people there not part of the middle belt too?

Whether southerners trust middle o, whether them no trust them o that is not my problem. My own is, hausa people should look inward like others are doing and know it is not going to be business as usual. If the River Niger and Benue bridges are blown today and every man has to fend for himself, where hausa man go run go my brothers ? Please think before it is too late. I hope the problem called Nigeria can be fixed without bloodshed but if that is the necessary evil, then undecided
Have you also wondered how the so-called middle belt would look like or be if that should happen?? Any way they still belong to Arewa forum, so they can still live with the fulanis; but not with the igbos and other southerners.

Middle belt people shey ?
Yes o, guy i wonder what they were thinking then when they were calling themselves arewa and killing igbos? now the same hausa/fulani they formed alliance with in 1966 have suddenly become their arch enemy. now they prefer to be called middle belt and not arewa again, abi??

^^^ haha lmfao
i see dis divide and conquer! They dont want to be hausa so dont force them.
Why were they hausas in 1966?, killing igbos everywhere from kano down to benue state.

Just the same way ijaw, ikwerre, ibibio, efik and delta igbo people have stopped being igbo abi?
PoliticsRe: Middle Belt Youth To Yar’adua: Hand Over To Jonathan by ishmael(m): 7:43pm On Feb 08, 2010
What is middle belt? Are they not the minority northerners that supported the hausa/fulani in 1966 - 1970? They are even worse than the core hausa/fulani, especially the Benue people. They are the ones that brutally murdered several igbos who have escaped death in the hands of the hausas in the core north and met it a few kilometers to igbo land by rail. Let them shut up. Na now dem know say dem no be hausa abi?

CareerRe: How Lucrative Is Sas(statistical Analysis Software) In Nigeria by ishmael(m): 3:50pm On Feb 02, 2010
gbemiady:
Hi House,

Am planning picking a career in SAS(Statistical Analysis Software), a friend introduced me to the software. I will like to know how lucrative is it pcking up career in it. My friend told me is used by GTbank, Skye Bank, First Bank and some other big firm in Nigeria. He also told me that just 10 people are certified in Nigeria as at 1 month ago and checking on line for job abroad is quite lucrative, imagine the salary scale of $80,000-$100,000 per annum.
That Nigerian Banks and big firms use it? What do they do with it? I doubt if nigerian banks believe in using such packages to achieve what they want (profit). American and European banks and businesses use it a lot for business analyses; but nigeria, i doubt; no body wants to follow the right path, they believe even without it they can still make their profits.

Just learn it on your own and add to your cv.

@HND-holder
I copied this from http:\\www.nate-ng.org. Has it been implemented after the Uyo 2009 NCE meeting??

The Office of Head of Service of the Federation should proceed to issue implementation circular letter without further delay after the 34th meeting of NCE scheduled to hold in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State in 2009.

Why are HND holders still employed as level 07 and Bsc holders as level 08 officers in some ministries like interior ministry??

Why the difference between HND and Bsc holders in NNPC and DPR??
