I think the little resources Anambra got during Obi's tenure wasn't managed well.Management of resources in a state is not by saving.He might have used the money to provide legacy infrastructures in Anambra state, entering into PPP projects in the state and don't let us forget how he stiffled democracy in the state because no elected local government officials for 7 years plus during his tenure.

This same VC enjoyed federal subsidies from primary to his post-graduate years.
He never complained of low fees then.

While he was in office, he admitted a record number of students per session even though he knew
the government was broke and fewer students should have been admitted. He didn't care then because
he was benefitting.

When the federal government wanted to senselessly create new federal universities as political rewards,
this VC was one of those lobbying for one of it to be sited in his hometown. He knew then
that the government was broke but he didn't care. He never opposed the plan even though it
would place more strain on the educational budget.

Now that he is out of the system, he can comfortably be objective.

I am no fan of almost total government subsidy in universities. But the problem would not have arise
in the first place if each university only admitted students they can cater for.

If we are to adjust tertiary education system based on current government earnings, various colleges
students population may drop by up to 70%.

The reason both governments even thought about it was because this extension of the rail line from Katsina to Maradi has always been a part of the railway modernisation masterplan which was designed since the OBJ days. OBJ signed contracts and MOUs for this, GEJ signed contracts and MOUs, and now Buhari is doing same, but somehow the nozzle of your gun is pointed at Buhari alone cos he applied of a loan for it?

But do you know or underestimate the power of verbal agreement or memo signed even if they're not agreement?
