mathskill: Deceit. You are all full of deceit.Take a close look at the title of your post. You already judged and sentenced without a trial and you follow it with a "i am not going to make assumptions".What else can I add. When people clearly leave reasoning behind them, and choose to criticise and hate the religion of Allah, even when it is glaring that is the right path. What else can one do?? A culture that allows Women to be used as objects of advertisement and amusement by exploiting their sexuality is termed freedom; a culture that tries to restrict that is called barbaric. The true Muslim woman would always dress modestly, no one is forcing her too, but for her fear in her lord. Maryam (Mary) is a perfect example for discerning Christians to follow; remnants of her traditions are still found among the Catholic sisters. How do they dress?? Just like the Muslim woman with a Hijab. Islam truly honours women and protects them, so much that a woman is not allowed under normal circumstances to travel without a Mah'ram (Brother, Father, Husband that can protect her from danger). Islam forbids that a woman loses her identity because of marriage, hence in Islamic countries a woman continues to bear her Father's name even after marriage. But really many of the critics don't care about this, they just hate because it is Islam, not because they think it is bad. |
I am glad Lagos State Government is not towing the path of stupidity. Hijab is a religious mode of dressing mandatory for Muslim ladies. It is a religious right and it shouldn't be infringed upon. I find it difficult to see what arm it would cause if Muslim girls wore a matching Hijab on their School uniforms, it shouldn't even be a matter for discussion. |
I would be really stunned if this turns out to be true. That would be a total disrespect to Muslims. Islam shouldn't be looked at from the point of view of Christianity. Mode of dressing is a core part of Islamic belief; a matured girl dressing without her Hijab, is sinning from the Islamic perspective. This is the Islamic belief it doesn't need to be agreed upon by any other belief. Forcing Muslims to abandon their religious teachings in a public school is a gross violation of their rights by any standards. This should be resisted by every good means possible; we all should be sincere and fair in our minds, I wonder if all those applauding this decision would feel the same way if schools in Kano were to force all students to put on Hijab as part of their School uniforms. |
I knew she was full of shit from day one. Anyone can pretend this is a modern world; but this is no different from a common prostitute hanging around Allen, VI waiting for the highest bidder to sell her body to. That's exactly what this naive girl has done, she sold her body, her privacy to some dirty media publications for money. She shouldn't be a role model to anyone's daughter. |
alnaijiri: State of Emergency in the North is a codeword for restricting democracy and autonomy of the Muslim North and subjugate Muslims under this Xtian Crusader government. We know this is what the South wants. Maybe they're bankrolling BH and other "Islamic" groups all along to get what they want.Bros.lets stop being in denial. Boko-Haram exists for real, they are not hidden, Boko-Haram membership is openly and confidently professed in Yobe, Borno. This is a problem from the Northern Muslim Ummah,we shouldn't be shy or too ashamed to come to terms with it. so lets face it and tackle it instead of trying comfort ourselves in unfounded theories. |
In adamawa I am surprised about that one...As for Borno and Yobe it is long over due. |
ROSYL: So awful for her at only 37 years of age to have to do that. But she is still a very attractive looking lady and life is more important than physical appearance. In an era when so many women and so-called celebrities are obsessed with having bigger and bigger breasts purely because of vanity and the need to be famous for having huge breasts, this is inspiring to hear on a number of levels. For those whom might be mistaken; are breast are not gone... I am almost sure they would have been reconstructed to look even better than the original. So in terms of appearance she has very little to lose. BUT WHAT STRUCK ME IN THE WHOLE STORY IS THE EXISTENCE OF SUCH A PROCEDURE THAT COULD HELP ESTIMATE PEOPLE'S CHANCES OF HAVING A CANCER AND MOST WORRISOME FOR ME IS THE FEAR THAT SUCH PROCEDURE MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE IN NIGERIA YET. I THINK THE CALL FOR US NOW SHOULD BE THAT GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO MAKE SUCH PROCEDURES MORE AVAILABLE TO NIGERIANS. |
Gbawe: Of course he is. One may not like Anenih but only fools will think the longevity of his kind is down to anything other the fact that they know how to play the game and play Nigerians better than most. At the end of the day, Anenih knows the score and has seen it all unlike the clueless rabble-rousers on this forum and their emptily garrulous mentors like Okupe, Metuh, Tukur et al.I do believe the Party merger may help make the political terrain more competitive and hence aid better Governance. PDP, surely needs to have her wings cut; an elephant like APC may provide the political presence and clout that would help reduce the effectiveness of the PDP rigging machinery. However, in as much as APC should strongly contest for the Presidential seat, i think it should pay more attention to winning as many Governor-seats and House-Assembly seats as possible, the revolution of APC needs to be gradual and not totally hinged on the Presidential seat. It is also very important that APC's cause shouldn't be viewed as the Northern cause. If APC can overcome and downplay the North's quest for the presidency by 2015 by presenting a non-Northerner as their Presidential candidate then PDP is really going to shiver. |
Yujin: I have warned before and I will warn again. The forceful islamization agendum of the people of the middle belt(minority christians) is on going. Only those minorities who willingly accept will be spared those who resist are earmarked for destruction. The tale of subjugation has been going on from the past 20yrs in Kaduna, Bauchi, Plateau, Yobe and of recent Nassarawa state. Taraba is feeling the heat now while Adamawa and Gombe will still join the gory performance. It is the resistance put up by the indigenous christians in their respective states that is resulting in all this squabbles. Its only Kogi and Benue states that such crises will be rarely found and it is for a reason. The elderstatesmen from these indigenous christians in their blind pursuance of a phantom political fraternity with their killers keep mum while their people perish. For instance, Yakubu Gowon of Plateau. T. Y Danjuma's home town- Takum is just some few kilometres from Wukari but he will never comment on this bloodshed. He is more interested in owning oil wells. Honestly, the bravely but costly resistance of the Plateau and Southern Kaduna peoples to the Hausa/Fulani domination in their own fathers' soil have emboldened other indigenous christians to rise up and challenge the usurpers of their God given rights and privileges. This is why it resonates and will still vibrate throughout where indigenous christians in the middlebelt have been reduced to data members in states they have appreciable strength. May God help the peace loving christians of the middlebelt and the entire north from the hands of their oppressors. AmenI pray people with twisted minds such as yours continue to diminish in this country. What wrongs have the Hausa/Fulani people committed in Kaduna, Plateau, Bauchi etc ? Is it a crime for an Hausa/Fulani to lawfully own lands in plateau We need to be sincere to ourselves; the reasoning of the people of Jos is despicable. These Hausa/Fulani worked and earned whatever properties they have in Plateau, rather than being jealous of their achievements, the people of plateau should work harder so as to achieve their own growth too. If the population of hausas have grown so much in Jos North that they can now win elections there, why should Beroms be so bitter about that![]() You talk of Kaduna, did the Hausas put a gun on the head of Southern Kadunas before they won elections Elections were conducted and Hausas won; why is that so hard to understand. It is true the Hausas are not the first settlers in Kaduna, but over the years they have grown in population and perhaps become the majority. Since when did that become a crime![]() |
kishimi8: you are funny in all the crises that happen in wukari who instigates it,., yesterdays crises on (friday) i was in wukari i barely managed to escape from the mosque i was praying my friday prayers,. we were just about to start praying when gun shots started outside the mosque,. we were attacked ,., all our houses burnt before we could even get to our homes,.,. i bare managed to get to abuja this morning .,, after hitching a ride on the outskirts of the accursed hometown of mineThat is what is particularly worrisome for me. The partisanship of Nigerian journalist in their reportage; if it was the other way round i.e Mulim youths attacking Christians in Kano, the media would have painted a very graphic picture of the scenario and no one would have been in doubt of who the aggressors are. The situation in Wukari is that the Muslims are by far the minority; the Christians in Wukari have taken advantage of that and launched a murderous attack on them. That is the true news, and what I expect is condemnation from posters, condemnation of those Christian youths that committed these atrocities. We need to be sincere and honest in our posts, when Muslims get it wrong condemn them and when Christians also get it wrong do the same. |
Symphony007: The apc nominating buhari to me is a missed opportunity on their part. Many niger deltans and igbo's are quite disappionted in jonathan and would'nt mind a change but the taught of a radical like buhari in aso rock will just push them back to jonathan. If the apc wants a shot at the presidency, they should nominate someone that can relate to every region of this country..they better rethink, the next election is still about 23 months.Do you think an APC that would be led by Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be so naive to nominate Buhari as their Presidential candidate come 2015 I doubt that very much. This does not imply that Buhari is a bad person but Buhari is terribly unpopular in the south (although mainly for sentimental reasons and unfounded rumors).Any party that pitches Buhari against Jonathan is just plain stupid; it takes more than the core-north to win elections, it is going to take the whole of Nigeria to beat a sitting President no matter how "mumu" that sitting President is. The only chance APC has got is to present a Southern Candidate against GEJ, that is the only realistic chance that they have got. Pitch an Amaechi or Oshomole against GEJ and He would shit in his pant. The success of APC would be determined by "How much patience and wisdom, the northern leaders have"? |
Men, I am actually shocked that someone in GLO would organise a "surprise party" for Mike Adenuga. Everyone knows the kind of personality He is; He hates publicity and I guess He hates too much familiarization too. I have it on reliable authority that Glo staff and Glo contractors were warned on one of his birthdays not to extend any greetings to him through the media houses. How many times have anyone seen Mike Adenuga on TV I can remember seeing Dangote a couple of times but Mike!!!, He just loves live in his own world. |
shymexx: I'm going to give them the next two world cups...I hope my country people can take a lesson from that instead sacking and hiring coaches every time. We need to invest in soccer academies that would identify and develop talent. Germany spent about 152 million dollars (24.3 billion naira) on soccer academies over the last 10 years |
Limaoscar: Definitely need a good Goalie as well. A keeper like Valdes is what we called "Waste-pipe" in my days in secondary schoolBros. I think Valdes is still one of the best in the World. And He is still very good. What they need again is another play maker that can give what XAVI HERNANDEZ once gave and may be a striker in the mold of falcao |
Gbenge 77: To be honest,PSG should have seen Barca off in the quarters but for a fortuitous Barca win. Now,againsta formidable opponent,Barca are being annihilated.Nothing lasts forever, an era of dominance by Barca is withering away; they now need to build another team, one that won't be too dependent on Messi. They need recruit better defenders. |
I said it last year, that the only team Barca didn't stand a chance against was Bayern Munich; they have everything that makes games very difficult for Barca. Defensively they are extra ordinary and they are very good with aerial balls. I am not surprised they are beating Barca home and away; it is only the margin that shocked me. |
bola4dprec: The prohibition of pork in Islam is derived from the following verse of the Glorious Qur’an:I think it is time for Christians to really tell us the source of the religion they practice, they mostly violate the dictates of the Bible and yet keep claiming that it is their holy book, especially Pentecostalism, I think those ones just follow the whims and caprices of their self-acclaimed pastors. |
Find Out!:Don't bother yourself trying to convince them about the evils of eating pig, they wouldn't bulge not because what you have said doesn't make sense to them but simply because the source of the instruction is from Islam; Allah has described the unbelievers as people who turn themselves away from the truth. Just to say: The reasons Allah instructed Muslims not to eat pigs isn't exactly clear, it may be for health reasons and it may be for other reasons beyond our comprehension. The important thing is that you adhere to what Allah has commanded of you. |
PapaBrowne: Obviously, CPC is not a wise party. A party that should be working hard to erase the perception that it is a Sharia Party would be wise not to single out the main Christain body for unnecesary attacks.Men, you just hit the nail on the head. The CPC often irritates me with the manner they handle issues. It is just plain obvious that they lack it. First, it was Buhari whom stupidly chose to support amnesty openly after He refused to openly show resentment or even appeal to the Boko-Haram group. Initially, I thought He was avoiding a trap, obviously set for him by the FG, but now I see that He is just unclever. I am more inclined to believe that GEJ had something to do with that Jet, but this is not a crusade for CPC to fight, they stand more to lose than to gain in this battle. |
Abel202: My people, Let's give honor to whom honor is due. I notice that some people are keen on jumping into lampooning president GEJ when he makes a faux pas, but the same people become deaf and dumb when GEJ scores a goal. That is not fair. As a people we should be giving constructive criticism when the need arises and should also be lavish in our praise when the need also arises. As we all can see GEJ is doing well in this Benin-Ore road reconstruction, therefore I say kudos to Mr president. We urge Mr president to keep up the good work and also hasten to make the second Niger bridge a reality. Even if the haters do everything to rubish his name, his name will be written in Gold in the history of Nigeria should he concretise this second Niger bridge. The Rails rehabilitation, the steel meels, the elctricity reforms, the new universities, the airport refurbishing etc all attest to great steps in the right direction. I will keep on giving you lavish praise when you do good (although its what you are elected to do in the first place), but I will also be among the first to criticise you when you make a silly mistake like the ill-advised pardoning of Alamesia which was an error of judgement. This is exactly where I stand. GEJ great job in this regard |
All I can say is that the state of the Abuja Stadium is a factual, undeniable evidence of how inept and corrupt the Federal Government of this country have been. Really, how hard can it be to maintain just one National Stadium. The one in Lagos, Surulere has already been abandoned but the only one right under their nostrils they watched it deteriorate into this shameful state!!! . Men, these guys(PDP Politicians) are psychopaths. |
This is what I call over experimenting. Since when did Ike Uche become so poor a striker that He can't even make the bench of the eagles?? The same goes for Yobo, He doesn't have to start games, but He is definitely good enough for the bench. Keshi, needs to understand that when preparing for a competition like the confederations cup, you need to have a very strong bench too, and not just a bench of rookies. I am sure He would be thought a few lessons in the upcoming friendlies and perhaps realise before it is too late. |
Electing a good candidate into the Presidential office isn't about the personality of the presidential candidate alone but about the personality of those who surround him or make up his party. Buhari as a person is a good man, but I am not too such of others whom are in his party. This was my major reason for not voting GEJ, because I knew from day one, that a vote for GEJ, is a vote for "continuity in the same direction we have been facing since the emergence of PDP...". Nigeria needs to break way from the bondage of PDP, hardly will anything good come out from that party, because it is an association of wealth seeking politicians, whom have only one mission: Milk Nigeria to the fullest. Forgive me for derailing; I will not vote for Buhari because I have come to realise He is not a presidential material, It would be best if a Buhari headed EFCC instead. We need someone with the charisma and well-roundness of Fashola to rule this country. Well, the exception is if Buhari is contesting mainly against a GEJ, and I had to vote; then I would vote for Buhari. |
Quran 3: 145: Nor can a soul die except by Allah's leave, the term being fixed as by writing. If any do desire a reward in this life, We shall give it to him; and if any do desire a reward in the Hereafter, We shall give it to him. And swiftly shall We reward those that (serve us with) gratitude |
May Allah shower his mercy and forgiveness on her; and continue to guide her into the path of light |
donroxy: There are extremists in every religion .......there are people who has used the name of God to commit atrocities...... For Jesus said not everyone who call me lord, lord shall enter the kingdom of God........So many people have used the holy name of Jesus to commit atrocities but really, are these fraudsters those that were referred to CHRIST-LIKEN (Christian) in Antioch.......NO,NO,NO!!!It is quite unfortunate that Islam continues to be painted in bad light. the press have continued to script the headlines in such a manner as to slander Islam. People often talk about what is happening in Mali like a terrorist invasion. I think that is rather unfair; firstly majority of Malians are Muslims; and some Malian tribes are Arab-like (Touaregs) and they are seeking for independence, in their manifesto they want their constitution to guided by the Shariah law. How has this made them terrorist or out rightly bad people. It is understandable that most country want to remain united and hence would fight to remain united, but never is quest to break away looked at as evil. I read an headline on ChannelsTV about fighting involving Burmese Muslims, the headline deliberately intended to place Muslims in conflict stories, it never mentioned the inhumane treatment internationally acknowledged that is being meted out to Burmese Muslims, they re treated as second-class citizens in their own country; they have next to no right; and when this people revolt; the news will read "Islamic Insurgency...." The fact that Iraq and Saddam Hussein, never possessed any weapons of Mass destruction but Iraq was invaded on the whims and caprices of George Bush remains under-reported in the media; hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died today because of this invasion and yet the media keeps painting Iraq as a terrorist nation. What an unfair world we live in, a world where Israel is forced on Palestines and the middle-east; and when they resist you call them terrorist; Israel has nuclear weapons so as to keep threatening their neighbors and yet it is a sacrilege for Iran to possess Nuclear weapon. I have no intention of denying the existence of extremist-Muslim groups mostly fighting for political reasons rather than religious reasons like the press would want us to believe. There is a lot of fighting and killings going on in Iraq between Sunni and Shia Muslims; it isn't anyway religious but tribal and political; but the Press prefers to taint it with religion; the same situation we have in Syria, Egypt and a number of Arab nations. There is obviously more to Boko-Haram than meets the ordinary eye, some day God will expose the main characters behind it. It is quite naive to think some Northern elders are scheming to be blowing up their own people everyday. I wondered how the northern ruling class is benefiting from the Boko-Haram scourge ![]() It may appear like Muslims are causing trouble everywhere!!; I tell you; that is because the press wants you to perceive it that way |
Afolabs101: I believe that this is quite possibly the Presidency's plan as its the usual tricks and nothing new, but I find it hard to believe that they would be this bold as to document it like that.Obviously Afolabi; any discerning person would easily see that there is no way in the World the President would release an official memo directing officials to carry out outright illegalities. If He needs to carry out some dirty jobs there are many hatchet men out there to carry out covert operations for him; why would He ever need to issue an official directive for that. Poor crap; this is obviously not from the president. |
daraxz: To best time to have told your sis was when she first told you about the guy and you knew he was the one. Telling her now puts you in a compromised situation where she sees you as want to cause her pain and still having affection for her man. Eight years has passed he could be worst or better now, that your sisters call to make not yours. She loves him then support her. Loose the attitude. Look him in the eye and smile. If you have sleepless night because of this then ask him if he told her and why? You can judge him by his answer;but is tricky its only if you aren't jealous of her or want payback at him or any other alterior motive. If you still feel that awaiting your sis is a life of misery then tell her and free your conscience. Know this you might loose her friendship but you did the right thing. Good luckI agree with most of your Points. I would advice she should never tell her. Forget it, put it behind you like it never happened. If you and the guy are matured, then you should be able to put it behind you. Many people slept with their cousins during their youthful days, you just put those things behind you and pretend it never happened. |
JaaizTech: PDP - Nothing Good can come out from this Party |
PDP - Nothing Good can come out from this Party APC - Fashola, Sanusi (CBN Governor), Nuhu Ribadu, Okorocha. |
Wiz-Prince:Your post is quite misleading; you failed to mention that a lot of criticisms trailed some of the silly pardons granted by Clinton. President Clinton was also mischievous, by choosing to grant the pardons in the last days of his presidency, knowing fully well He would be immensely unpopular after his actions. There is no doubt that Clinton acted inappropriately, but to now choose to judge Jonathan on the yardstick of an "improper conduct by Clinton" is even more atrocious. In order to put the reactions that trailed the "Pardongate" by Clinton in proper perspective I pulled an article from breakingnews.ie (http://www.breakingnews.ie/world/clintons-are-isolated-after-pardongate-4912.html) " Bill and Hillary Clinton have received no public support over the "Pardongate" scandal. No-one has come forward to defend the former president after he granted 140 pardons on his last day in office. In an opinion poll, Americans now view Mr Clinton as negatively as at any time during his presidency. Mrs Clinton is under scrutiny after her brother received a £250,000 pay-off for soliciting pardons from Mr Clinton." So unlike you, many people were after Clinton's neck after is unjustifiable act of clemency, so don't blame us if we are just being sane by criticising President Jonathan |

I am surprised about that one...
