nissparts: What most Lagosians do not realize is that 17mpg for lagos city driving on our quality of fuel and engine oils is more than adequate for a 4 banger and you will not get better than that until you take a long trip on a highway.

If you buy a brand new Hyundai today for example, you will enjoy between 18-19mpg city driving depending on your route.
At 1000km you will have to take the vehicle in for the first service. Immediately after that service, your mpg will drop to 14-15mpg on the same route. Why? Quality of engine oil used.
@nissan, do you happen to sell Techron fuel injector cleaner

Freddieyankee: This remains me of someone in Nigeria asking me to get him a 2010 Nissan versa and have it shipped to Nigeria for 900k naira.
Such people you don't waste your time with. And like my big boss Fhemmy said some customers pushes the dealer to cheat on them.
Asking to get Toyota Camry 2008, low mileage, leather seat full option and shipped to Nigeria for 1.2 million
I disagree, what some customers want is the truth, in fact what many customers want is just the truth, sit the guy down and tell him, in plain English, if u want XYZ this is d cost, if u want ABC, this is the cost. If you already had a honest reputation, people will believe you. Many customers whom have access to purchase cars in US, on their own, buy over 200k miles for themselves, all they do is verify the condition and take a chance on the car.
Car TalkRe: Nigerians Dont Care About High Mileage? - Is It True by JaaizTech: 5:29pm On Jul 26, 2013
I think what is paramount here is that we have become a "people of falsehood", perhaps we would rank top amongst the most untrustworthy people on earth.
I have fallen victim of the same thing before, I bought a 2003 car displaying a mileage of about 78k, on querying the VIN i discovered the car had over 208k on it.
We keep complaining of corrupt leaders, but the truth is that we ourselves are a corrupt people, hence the probability that one ends up with corrupt politician or pathetic liar sales man is 9 out of 10.

Thanks. that is a whole new perspective to it. The quality of petrol is questionable, the weight of oil is also a problem, in my case the closest to the recommended 5-20W, i could find is Total's 5-40W.

why do human beings not learnhuh, Allah has shown you that you are nothing, He took you from being the 2nd most powerful person in this country to the level of a common criminal, and kept you in prison for 15years, yet you refuse to take heed.
Surely, the praise singers and psycophants whom are only after your loot are really deceiving you. I say to you Al Mustapha, you probably deserve to die, but you have been given a 2nd chance, and this time round, you shall see the ultimate consequences of evil.

Well, I think I have made some progress on the P0420 code, now I want to figure out how to deal with my poor mpg issue. The car currently does about 16 - 17 miles per gallon on city driving . The car has over 200k miles on it, still drives strong except for a noticeable loss of power when on a/c. IT has no check engine light on at the moment. Accord 2003. Any help is welcomed.

sultaan: Did you have the cat cleaned in soap as advised?

You need to be sure its not clogged and the core materials can do their job, if you do anything else like remove the material then you no longer have a cat and your o2 will still read funny.
My P0420 code have disappeared for over 2 weeks now; this happened after I refilled my tank with Petrol and added a Mobil Injector Cleaner (Mobil power), when I noticed it the first time, I refilled my tank again when it was half-full adding another bottle of the injector cleaner (Mobil power). The code is yet to re-appear since then.

I remember in one of the videos, that the mechanic advised you empty about a gallon of "thinner" into your tank first before deciding to remove it for a wash. Perhaps the Mobil power just did the thinner's job. I will keep you guys posted if it shows up again.
SportsRe: Nigerian Players Banned For Life For Match-fixing Scandal by JaaizTech: 4:38pm On Jul 23, 2013
Okija_juju:
MAYOWAAK:
The intention is most welcome development and applauded. But let me say this, frankly specially i see no sense whatsoever to ban for life these footballers. This is no justice at all. It's unthinkable to do this to innocent soccer players who are owned and dictated to by the club managements. Yet you ban them for life and punish these clubs and their officials in what i will call peanut justice. This is totally a miscarriage of justice, and it ends up to be even more damaging and disappointing than the criminal act itself, if you really consider the defense i am making for this poor players. This is similar to what happens in the Armed Forces where officers are given less penalty because they were simply obeying orders from the above. I think the President of NFF Alhaji Maigari should try as much as possible and ask these people to have a rethink. Else this is an embarrassing discharge of justice.
So let me explain my stand...

The players deserve to be punished.. Banned for like 5 years. lets all remember that these are atheletes and 5 years is a very long time in a footballers life. The players definitely had a part in this fiasco. They cant feign not being aware of the fraud. Reports had it that they were at some point scoring so many own goals. I even learnt that when a goal was scored, the ball boys just threw in another ball and left the other in the post. So the players definitely deserve to be punished..

The clubs on the other hand should get the 10year to life ban. They can be barred from ever contesting for qualification for the next 50yrs. That is a well deserved punishment.

The management of the clubs, coaches and also the officiating referees are the real culprits here and should be totally banned from football for life..

I really think its silly to throw the blame squarely on the players... This is like taking away their only source of livelihood. Without football, some of these players have nothing else to fall back on. Im not in support of this ruling..
This is exactly my point, I am so disappointed to see sports Journalist celebrating this ruling. I see no reason why the players of the team that was doing the scoring should be so severely punished. Was it their fault that the opposing team was willing to let them score so many goalshuh.
This thing was obviously arranged at the management level, the players were simply instructed to allow in as many goals, how and why should the opposing team that was scoring the goals be held accountable for that. This is not justice by any yardstick.
I didn't hear any mention of the coaches nor the top officials of the club being banned, they deserve it more and far more than the players. this is definitely not justice.

The story sounds far-fetched, but let me just say, had the President been a Muslim Northerner, many of those antagonizing saharareporters on this story, would be believing it like a script that fell from heaven. I don't believe it but I know many don't believe just because they are GEJ's apologists and not because it is irrational.

Last bullet======> what on earth would attract a man of 50 years to a little girl of 14?
OK, now it is about the age of the man she's getting married tohuh Colomentalism at it's highest order, now simply because America has cropped up, you can now accept early marriage as long as the bridegroom is of close age!!!, infact let me say as long as it is in the American way. Before no reasoning or argument made sense, until America came up, infact the day America comes out and says marriage is a violation of the fundamental human right of a lady, many of you here, will be justifying it.

MiloRambaldi: Seems there's no Islamic/Quranic basis for your 3 conditions. Do these conditions really exist in Islam or you just created them?
Check out islamqa.com, just Google underage marriage including islamqa as keyword. you will find your answers there, if you truly you are seeking an answer.
Islam permits early marriage and in fact encourages early marriage, By marriage I mean marriage soon after puberty, also Islam considers the physical and general well-being of the girl before marriage can be consummated. These are the Islamic point of view, they apply to Muslims and Muslims only, you may not like it, but we are satisfied with the guidance ofAllah. Islam did not bring early marriage, early marriage was the common practice either at the time of the prophet or before his time, Islam has only come to encourage early marriage as a means of preventing the girl child from falling into the evil of fornication. The same applies to a boy, Men are advised to marry as soon as they have their means to and have attained the age of puberty.
Foreign AffairsRe: An 11-year-old Yemeni Girl On Child Marriage by JaaizTech: 5:19pm On Jul 22, 2013
As Southerners we tend to view early marriage in a horrifying manner, because perhaps it is strange, to our culture. However, for us whom live in the north and see it being practised know that it isn't horrendous as it is being painted, there are instances where the culture is abused to the detriment of the girl child but this does not imply that is always the case.
My neighbour married his wife at 15, she has 3 kids now and she is currently in school for her NCE. Aliyu my other neighbour likely married his wife around that age too, they have one boy and she is also in school studying to become a nurse. Getting married early, doesn't imply abuse, some husbands do take care of their wives even better than their parents!; we should take note that the Hausa 13 year old is far much prepared for marriage than our own 18 year old. That a culture contradicts western ideals doesn't make it inferior. Many of those screaming against this do not really give a damn about those Hausa girls, for them it just an opportunity to insult Islam, that is what they are excited about.

PoliticsRe: Marriageable Age Of Places Around The World by JaaizTech: 3:42pm On Jul 21, 2013
Marriage is a cultural issue and also a personal issue, I sincerely believe that if not for the intent of antagonising one and other, this won't be generating so much controversy.
My intent is to first state the Islamic point view. Islam does not stipulate an age for a girl to get married, but what Islam says is that when a girl attains the age of puberty, the parents should hasten to Marry her to a suitable person. The age of puberty varies and hence no particular age is stipulated. in the past whether in European, African or Arabian culture marriage was contracted early, sometimes below 10. Did this practice in itself mean an end of the world for the girls, did it make them lesser human beings or immensely detrimental to their well-being is the question to be asked. If Hausa culture encourages early marriage I think we should all respect that, none of us love those girls being married out early more than their parents, so let us stop pretending we care that much.
Marriage is not a death sentence or an end of the road, for anyone. I am married with 2 kids and my wife is still schooling, so also are many people that I know. if truly, we care about the age of the girl, then why are our girls so sexually active at JSS level, I remember vividly, Sandra and Eniola, they were between 13 - 15, even though fully grown, when boys (university boys ) were already after them, they had no intentions of marrying them but to just have fun. These are things we should show disgust at, why not ask for a legislation against fornication, if truly we are sincere.

It is so sad, that we are still so far behind even many african countries are better of these days. My wife has delivered twice with no issues except for the tear. But i have to say Nigerian nurses have a terrible character, they are so rude, that you feel like throwing up on them. They show next to no emotions, they treat pregnant women like whining spoilt brats. Honestly, something needs to be done about Nigerian nurses. The other issue that worries me is the theatre rooms and patient wards, some of the theatre rooms are so unkempt that you fear you are in a slaughter room. They are usually dull looking with dirty floor, in fact sometimes they smell.

SportsRe: Uruguay Vs Nigeria - U20 World Cup (2 - 1) On 2nd July 2013 by JaaizTech: 10:08pm On Jul 02, 2013
COOLDUN: That is my own suggestion too, Obu never played a modern football, we have many players who played in modern day scientific football that can handle our junior teams perfectly.

Obuh, have tried but he should be relieved of his duty and try another competent coach, from the beginning of the match i knew that Nigeria will not win the match when they were playing the same pattern with a team which the players are taller than them, instead of holding the ball and make them run with accurate passes.

The repetition of the game against South Korea would have won them the match perfectly, Uruguay miraculously qualified for the second by winning only one game against Uzbekistan , they watched our game and knew that they can't match us skill by skill and that was why they played frustrating football, sadly Nigeria players followed them and lost the match.

When Nigeria equalized through Kayode, they would have continued to make faster moves with ball, while their opponent make the defending, but they relaxed as if the game would be played till tomorrow. Anyway they tried but let another modern player coach the next team which is supposed to begin immediately and not 6 months before the tournament.

Obuh, should go and take care of his family, his job as a coach in Nigeria should not be any National team, if he still wants to be a coach.
(
posts like this ones really make me sad for Nigeria. We just keep finding fault where there is none. This is an age group competition for God sake, you can't win all the time; Mourinho didn't win a single trophy last season, Vincente de Bosque of spanish senior side got flogged disgracefully by Brazil, a few days back. These are the World best coaches...

this is embarassing. We are such an immature people and really under-developed in our reasoning and this is not just about maigari, many people of echoed the same views on this forum.
We think we are wiser and smarter than the rest of World but we are not, even though I agree Keshi may have made better decisions with his player selections, but I don't thimk that is why we crashed out early.
Whom are these so called professionals, that keshi could have invited, outside Yobo and Ike Uche, that are at least good enough for the SE bench; i see no other player that was worthy.
Keshi actually should be praised, 3 of our star players were out- Moses, Emeneke and Onazi and to add to his woes Oduamadi got injured early in the 2nd game; and yet with all these challenges we still put a good show. Let me also add that Anichebe turned down an opportunity to be invited to play.
This team has a lot of promise, what the coach needs is support and not media criticism.
