You're the seating governor, this statement is expected of you, because being a governor means you've pledged your allegiance to the zoo government.

But for the mere fact that you're the governor, doesn't mean you can take a decision for the whole people of Ebonyi. Give Ebonyians referendum now, and see them leave your sorry ass for Biafra then you and your family can continue in your one zoogeria.
You people only seem to be united online but in reality you people are not. Biafra is a pipe dream that can never come to be because igbos can hardly agree on anything and speak with one voice like the Hausas and fulanis. Y'all just destroying your region and wasting the lives of your youths for nothing
CrimeRe: I Regretted My Actions. Please Help Me! by jadyclem(m): 9:14pm On Jan 12, 2022
Noah9:
Good morning nairalanders. Pls I'll go straight to point.

My wife and I have been married for 3 years, God has blessed our matrimony with a beautiful daughter. My wife is so decent, caring and beautiful inside out. I have been a great husband and father to my pretty daughter. I have never cheated on my wife since we got married.

Recently, she barely give me sex. Infact it would take a whole month before I could see Just the color of her undies and I wasn't happy about it.

Last week Wednesday, I committed an unspeakable abuse, I'm so ashamed of myself. I Raped my wife and I hate myself since that incident.

Honestly, I don't know what came over me that particular day, I tried to make advances towards her, she refused and she pushed my hand away. Out of anger I slapped her on her face (she bled from her mouth), I overpowered her and forcefully had my way through. She cried all through that night.

I regretted my actions, I feel remorse, I hate my Life cry. I have begged her seriously to forgive me but she haven't said a word to me for over 5 days now. She cook for just herself and my daughter, she no longer sleep in our matrimonial bed, she would rather sleep in my daughter's room or the visitor's room, she no longer greets me anymore.

I have never abused, beat or raised my hands on my wife or any woman before. Last week was my first time I did such an abominable act in my Life sad. What If any one notice we're having issues now, how will I explain to them what actually happened?

I don't even want my little daughter to know we're having issues. I don't know who to talk to. It's a faceless forum that's why I'm sharing my pain here cry. Pls how do I restore back happiness in my home, I need my wife to forgive me. I'm truly sorry from the depth of my heart and I promise it will never happen again.

Please Help Me.
You goofed big time by hitting her and forcefully having your way with her, but that woman you call your wife doesn't actually love you or give a fvck about you. What's love if you can't put your partner's need into consideration and do the barest minimum thing that is expected of you as a wife to please him? You've given your wife the power to hold you to ransom and continue to do as she pleases by your actions. I don't see your marriage working out because from this point she has the power to manipulate you as she pleases and you're certainly going to get frustrated some day because you just losed your say in your home by your action. So sad! The deed has already been done, so I'll suggest you stop pleading and allow her to be for some time. If after a while you try to get close and she keeps withdrawing, know that your marriage has ended and think of your next course of action. But you really fvcked up sha!

Good morning, I'm not lying, infact I have no gain lying ok, there are some homes in Nigeria that have about 8 or more AC, 4/5 fridges/freezer, washing machine etc. I know a family friend, they spend over 100k per month. Many ppl now resort to solar though we do have constant power supply. Please don't use your area to generalize okay, thank you.
Constant power supply in Nigeria? Abeg, which part of Nigeria is that? Because down here where I reside we keep paying for darkness and they've made the prepaid meter inaccessible.

Hmmm!!! Some people using prepaid metre spend 50k and above on monthly basis. Before, we receive an estimated bill around 30/32k per month but during lockdown, prepaid metre was shared and in 7 days, 15k was used, now we spend approximately 72k per month on prepaid metre.
Will u stop lying! Trying very hard to justify high estimated billing of phcn. Prepaid meter is the best that's why phcn is hoarding it from the masses because they know with the way they distribute power it will affect their monthly turnover greatly. So stop lying en!

Guest2008:
How Can I Help My Brother Out Of This Mess

Good afternoon nairalanders. As I'm typing this, my mum is not herself and she's been crying since morning because she caught my younger one smoking in his room..

He locked himself in the room for a very long time and my mum decided to go check on him. After a while, he sprayed his room and opened the door.

The room was filled with this hard drug smell, she called me and we decided to check the room even though he denied ever smoking.. We saw a light brown paper that he probably tears from, a nylon containing something like sand and a lighter behind the toilet seat. Despite all this, he still denied it claiming the smell is probably from the next compound.
My brother just clocked 16 and he's in SS2..

How can I advise and help him stop because I believe he was actually smoking even though he denied it?
This is an example of what happens when you fail to bring up your child in the way of the lord and instill the fear of God in his/her heart from an early age. Your brother may hardly stop smoking if it's really true that he's taken getting high as his hobby.
Your mum talking to him will make the matter worse, all you need to do is to sit him down and find out what he wants from life and make him understand how disastrous the part he's about to take is for him should he decide to travel such part. Be calm with him and talk to him as a guy man talking to a fellow guy man. If im heart neva cake, e go fit listen to you and retrace his steps. Also, always keep an eye on him and watch the company he keeps too.

Smoking is not part of growing up! A teenager getting himself or herself entangled in social vices is not part of growing up. Such behaviour reflect lack of proper parental guidance or negative influence from peers. People don't outgrow negative behaviours, they sink deeper into it unless they are helped and they truly desire to stop it

Yahaya Bello as president means we will have youths as ministers for Sports, Communication and effective security.
The earlier we realise this the better for us.
Is it just to have youth in the helm of affairs or to have people with vision and developmental blueprints that can steer the country in the right direction and give her people hope for a better nation and future? Nigeria ...The Journey to a Secured Nation is still Far ....

What do you think ?
The commercialization of terrorism by the ogas at the top is the only reason why they have not been defeated yet. It's the same old weapons that goodluck regime used to chase bokoharam out of the Nigerian territories they were occupying then in less than a month when they knew it would affect the election. So until the government and the military ogas at the top see the need to expel those terrorists out of our territories forever, they'll keep commercializing it.

BusinessRe: My Horrible Experience Opening A Gtbank Domiciliary Account by jadyclem(m): 7:21pm On Nov 22, 2021
Amaechi5:
Hello everyone, please I need to know if anyone of you has ever faced this situation with gtbank domiciliary account.

I opened this account since the month of August 18th 2021 and which the bank sent me an account number requesting that I should fund the account in order to activate it.

I did as the bank stated but this happens to be the biggest mistake I made this year. I funded the account since 22nd of August and upon going to the bank to withdraw the money I found out that the bank has placed a restriction on my domiciliary account.

I inquired the reason for the restriction and was told that one of the referees was rejected.

The worst part is that I've submitted four extra referees (Reference forms) and they were all rejected for just no reason or they weren't suitable. Since August till now which is November (three months) gtbank is still restricting my account and kept on rejecting my referees even though these referees comply with gtbank domiciliary account requirements.

The only problem is that they are not gtbank current account holders and I don't know where to get anyone with gtbank current account.

My question is why would gtbank send me an account number when they probably knew the account isn't fully functional?

Why didn't gtbank explain to me that these referees weren't suitable before going ahead to give me an account number?

Why would gtbank request that I fund the account in order to activate it whilst the account is being restricted from debit transaction?

All I needed from gtbank is to give me my money and take their account along with their dollar debit card which they even collected the fees from my gtbank savings account.

Guys please I would love to hear your experience opening a domiciliary account in gtbank and mod please if possible please I'm begging move this to front page cause I'm getting sick over this issue.

Thank you.
To open a dom account with gtb or any other bank, your referees must be current account holders with the said bank. The only way for you to get the restriction removed from the account is to look for a gtb current account holder to sign for you else your money will be stuck there.

And who tells you it is a norm that if you ask a lady out the first time her answer must be a yes?

If what you feel for her is true and not just a urge to get into her pants then you have to work at changing her mind in many a different way. The day she sees true love in you, I can bet she’ll yield.
No guy should ever attempt what this man is suggesting. This is a recipe for self-fooling. The moment any lady you're interested in tells you that she's not interested in being in a relationship at the moment or isn't giving you a positive vibe that she's feeling you after letting her know your feelings for her, please move on.

Don't allow anyone to make a fool of you as a guy because you're the "real price" in the equation. If she's into you, she would never turn you down. She may not give you an outright 'yes' but she would give you a vibe that would make you know she's feeling you and just acting like a lady so you wouldn't tag her as 'cheap'

Those that made the e-naira are very clueless. When I heard that cbn is creating an e-currency I thought it's going to be on a blockchain and that they're going to pair it with some major crypto so as to allow Nigerians trade cryptos easily and they'll also have the opportunity to monitor everything, but they made a digital currency with no use case. What a brilliant stupidity!
CBN made something that should have been an awesome idea and provide them the opportunity to monitor cash inflow and outflow into the crypto industry and other online biz to seem useless. Bad leadership is the worst thing that can happen to any organization!

FamilyRe: Her Parents Sponsored Our Wedding, Should I Be Worried. by jadyclem(m): 4:24pm On Nov 14, 2021
Tonero5200:
Hi.

Honestly speaking am really worried, have dated my fiance for sometime now. So we finally decided to tie the knot.
She suggested we do it this year November and I concurred, so we've been saving towards it ever since.

Last 2 months I made my intentions known to her family, that I will like to marry their daughter. Due to the conversations I had With her parents, I told them I wanted it small.. because am not financialy buoyant.

But To my surprise, her dad said I shouldn't worry about it, they are going to support me ( which is most likely Normal)

(They gave me traditional rite's, which I sorted out by myself)

With the traditional right drawing close, last month I learnt from my fiancee..her parents are planning to buy 2 cow for the traditional and white wedding. (I was surprised)

The following week, the hall she choosed for the reception of the white wedding, has already been paid for by her dad which was about 500k excluding the decorations which they also took care of ( even though I opted we could have done the reception in the church)

But my fiancee told me her dad is inviting alot of well-wishers home and abroad to come celebrate with us.both his fellow staffs and all.

* I bought 2 bag of rice and groundnut oils

* We paid for the cakes

* We paid for drinks

* We sorted things out (invitation cards, pre shoot photos)

But was surprised 2 days to the traditional marriage, more expensive drinks were rolling in.

On the d day of the white wedding, I realised, they cooked more than 8 bags of rice ( coconut, jollof, banga and fried) meats were surplused.
Alot of people came from her family's, while my own families were just there.. they did get the message.

Someone even said it to my mom face. THAT THIS GIRL PAPA TRY O.

please, I don't want to sound like am a bad person or I don't know good.
Offcus I appreciate her parents efforts, but am just a little bit worried.

As a man, won't this come to haunt me in the future?
Why are you worried? You are marrying into a family that is welcoming you whole-heartily and you want to spoil it with your insecurity. Oh, because her family is not one of those hungry families that will give you a list of over 1million Nair na im make you no wan get sense en? Bros, no let devil use you o!

The Koko of the traditional marriage be say you paid the pride price yourself and with that you have no cause for alarm. Do the one wey your power reach and if her family wan support you be happy about it but don't behave sheepish before them because of the help. Let them know you're grateful for whatever assistance they're giving you, but remain the man that you are I.e, no be their puppet incase them go wan use that one to start controlling you.

One year, in my Uni days, this girl so won my heart over that I couldn't get over it.

We were different in every way you can imagine. I was poor, rough, bearded, smoker, atheist, olodo student and older. She was cute, small, very churchy, booky, from a rich home and such a nice person generally.

She always said no, but in such a pleasant way that I couldn't go. My chase was for 4 full semesters plus all of the holidays in between! I drifted off when she eventually got this pastor boyfriend from a wealthy home too.

As life goes, I can't even rem her name today and may not recognize her if she stands right in front of me. We all move on in life eventually!!!
The moral of your story is simply : don't continue chasing anyone that hasn't shown you she wants to be with you. The loss in the end is much painful than if you have walked away and forgotten about her after the first negative response from your first or second try.

ethicallyright:
Those who are afraid of court marriages (Marriage under the Act) in Nigeria are scared because of the dilemma of male divorcees in foreign countries.

In Nigeria, you have nothing to worry about. The Nigerian Court will never ask a Dangote to pay as much as 10 million naira (less than $20,000) to his estranged wife. Alimony figures in Nigeria favour husbands.

However, women in Nigeria actually opt for court marriage to give their children access to their fathers' estates if their fathers' die intestate.

Put differently, statutory marriage is the best way a man who loves his children can ensure that they inherit his property if he dies early without writing his will. A wife who is married in court and her kids do not have to worry about wicked in-laws , uncles and aunties because the Matrimonial Causes Act has got them covered.

I think for now, marriage in court registry or registered place of worship favours both men and women who want a better future for their kids. Maybe my position will change in future when ridiculously high alimony figures are ordered by the court grin
That is you're saying in a nutshell that court marriage has no benefit to the man in anyway since the only benefits your talked about revolved around the woman and the children gotten from the marriage. I see!

All these burning of houses and villages when a security personnel is killed by unknown persons can only happen in the south because the leaders and the people are allowing it. You see what bandits are doing to the military in the north and no village or community is has been overran by the military. There is nothing you can do or say to make me give up. Do or say what you want and I will say or do what I want. We don’t have to agree but we can stay respectful of each other.

The wealth or poverty of a nation is created by the citizens. Instead of just complaining about everything, ask yourself what you have done to increase the wealth or poverty of your country.
The wealth of a nation is created by her citizens under a conducive environment created by the government. But what do you do when everything the government does is aimed at bringing the citizens down and subjecting them to pain and misery?
No country can grow or progress without good governance. Fix Nigeria's leadership problem and see majority of Nigerians soaring to greater heights in this same country that our leaders are turning to a hell-hole. Good leadership/governance is the foundation of a prosperous nation, without it majority of the creaive minds in that nation would seem like a dumbo as in the case of Nigeria.

Nigerian military is only ruthless in the south because the people are allowing them. Imagine the military saying they called the criminal bandits for negotiation with the villagers. They even said the bandits attacked them one time and they lost two of their colleagues as a result of such attack and they did nothing. While in the south here hoodlums would mistakenly gun down one of them and they would reinforce to go and burn down the nearest town or village closest to where such an event occurred, molest their women and kill their youths. What a double standard! Sometimes I wonder if the Nigerian military should not be called "northern Nigerian military"
