big-t:You really are a confused bloke |
ciphoenix: they'll use same hardware, but upgraded. just like they overclocked the CPU in the Note2But it doesn't change the fact that by the time it's out, the S5 will be a few months away which will even be a much higher upgrade. You see, the rumours never stop coming but for now, the S4 is the peak. |
caukerzee: You are really underrating the abilities of the 'S pen'. I dont know if the S pen of the note 2 is the same with that of the Note 10.1 tho, but just do some research on the tricks and tweaks of the S pen and you would be wowed. It has alot of tricks just like on the Note 10.1 but in everyday use I hardly use it. But then, I haven't used the Note II extensively. |
ciphoenix: whatever features are included in the S4 will be improved in the Note3Well... that's not true. The next Note will basically be the S4 with a larger screen and battery plus a few software updates which would mainly rely on the Notes larger screen. But then, Samsung might decide to debut a new hardware feature. |
pawn89: and now, rumor has it that samsung is trying to pack an S4 that is water resistance.Do you really think that Samsung will release a water resistant S4 few months after the release of the original S4? They would rather have that in S5 or the next Note. |
ciphoenix: my love for the note is due to it's size and the S PenWell... to every man his choice. I can't remember when last I used the pen on the Note 10.1 |
All u peeps shouting Note 3 should know that it would most likely be a marginal improvement over the S4 in accordance with Samsungs tradition. The next major upgrade would come with the S5. Major manufacturers do not undercut their flagships so soon except for a reason. Also, another caveat is that Note 3 would most likely come with a bigger screen. Rumours have put it at 6 or 6.2'' which I consider too big for a phone. But then people have their preferences and should go with what they prefer. |
Lagusta: no no no no no no no!!!!What!!! Man I'm really beginning to question your authenticity. Did you pull these values out of thin air? Well for starters, most hospitals would give a contract job of 6-7 for residency in almost all departments. Funny enough, most fresh surgeons I know of are within the range of 29 - 33 years and in no way spent 10 years in training. Lastly, if you were really in touch with things in Nigeria, you would know that paediatrics is one of the more tasking areas of specialization not necessarily because of the book work, but mainly because most of the examiners are really tough. |
Lagusta: ^^^^^^ i refer to your first post...There are alot of things wrong with not just your statement but more importantly your mindset. It's not a matter of what you think you can do but what you've been adequately trained to do. In as much as I don't want to generalize, but you can walk into any Teaching Hospital and see the havoc done by some GP's with this your mindset. Bizarre complications arising just because someone thought there was no need to refer this 'easy' procedure he was not adequately trained to perform. I cannot imagine taking any relative in need of a surgery to a GP. Infact a woman who is more likely to be delivered via caesarean section should attend her ANC under a consultant-led unit. Like it or not, this jack of all trade mentality always brings more harm than good. |
BashToks: As in. I try to educate them buh I end up looking arrogant which am not. It's like a whole world waiting to be explored but the bandwagon effect wouldn't allow them see. Technology is mad now and you're still stickin to yer Blackberry? You're the ignorant one here. |
all4naija: What does jailbreaking iPhone legality got to do with music's? Jeez! Please, explain why jailbreak is legal so that we can better understand it.Well like I said I'm not in the business of spoon-feeding no one. I wouldn't do for you what you should do for yourself. But perhaps if you still feel like displaying your ignorance, then you can start by stating why you think it's illegal. |
all4naija: You are the dumb man. You go about making assertions expecting me to use common sense without proofs. Jeez! Please, explain to me why it is legal to jailbreak iPhone!Don't worry I would also explain to you why it's legal to listen to music on your iPhone or even use it to take pictures. |

all4naija: Hehehe... Your comment is laughable. I would be interested in your source that says it is legal to jailbreak iPhones not this game-playing attempt.!It might not be illegal in US but in other countries it can be.You should stop displaying your gross ignorance. It's ridiculous asking me to give you a link to something that is common knowledge. It's just like asking for a link to show if the iPhone is a smartphone or if lumias are made by Nokia or if it's illegal to stand on your phone. Next time use google before asking really really dumb questions that make you look quite dumb. |
all4naija: Explain why it is not illegal when it infringes on the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.Millions of things will infringe on those and still not be illegal. Well... to clear your doubts, a simple google search will do. |
caukerzee: For the records, Jailbreaking is illegal. Not true |
rainmaker12: Software oriented, s3 Hardware s still uptodate. to hell s4. mayb s5 ll bring smetin meaningful..I see.... Just one more question for you. When did you get your S3? |
And what exactly do all those things you mentioned have to do with hardware? What I'm trying to say is that if I follow your skewed logic, then I can easily say that the differences between GS and GS2, or GS2 and GS3 are all negligible which of course is false. |
@mavetrevor and rainmaker I still don't know why it's so hard for you guys to specifically list the differences the 'average user' will notice between the S2 and S3. It's not so hard you know. At least we can start dissecting your rubbish from there. |
. |
mavtrevor: Most of you are talking as tech heads and i understand your positions, but how will an average mobile phone user understand the differences? someone spent some money less than a year ago to buy an S3 and now there is an S4 with no major difference and soon there will be an S5 lolz, most of the differences are software-based and if its so i wont be surprised when the S4 features will be ported into S3. In the article i didn't mention S2 because S2 and S4 are worlds apart but S4 is not that far with S3.Not many people jump from flagship to flagship and most S3 users will wait for the S5 but like I said, the S4 is still a much better device. Even a blind man would notice the hardware differences between the S3 and S4. Perhaps you decided to jump the list above. Samsung has added considerably to most hardware features of the S3. Like I asked the person above, do you really think that people would notice the differences between the S2 and the S3 or between the S1 and the S2? |
rainmaker12: wit all These so called Suppliments, Wat is d significant changes in speed n camera? Sensor no sensor, cpu no cpu, GPU no gpu, camera no camera, screen no screen, are these changes major? U cant even distinguise between them, if Not screen size. These changes arent enormores so abandon s3 4 s4. xcept u want it 4 luxry. S2 to s3 we saw big difference. Yes! its worth d upgrade..... Major Feature arent drastically upgraded. Wich s processor, camera, ppi nd overall physical look. If u cant tell speed diff. nd camera quality, y d upgrade. s4 camera Feature r just dere to confuse d public. We take better pics wit our s3 too witout dose features, so..... y waste d cash............ If Not for TRENDS. ('IM using d latest'), notin more.I just don't understand you. You haven't used the S4 so how do you know that the difference in hardware wouldn't be noticeable? Samsung made almost all aspects of the hardware better and you call all those gimmicks. What you don't understand is that the S4 is not meant to make the S3 obsolete. The S3 is still an awesome device but the S4 is much more better. If S3 users choose to upgrade, then that's their choice but you don't expect Samsung to wait for all S3 users to get tired before they release the S4. If you still have problems getting it, why not state the huge difference you saw between the S2 and the S3 and you would see that all those and many more apply to the S4. I'm beginning to see you as someone who bought the S3 a month or two ago without doing your research and now you feel ripped-off and try to convince yourself against facts. |
@op what you don't get is that the S4 was not necessarily made for S3 users. Most people use their phones for about 2 years. This is mainly targeted ar S2 users. However, it's still a solid upgrade to the S3 if you're looking to upgrade. Also, I don't see why you're surprised at the timing of its release when you should have been expecting it. Most flagships are upgraded yearly around specific times and this fits into its schedule just like the note 3 and a new iPhone are being expected later this year. Lastly, you shouldn't be asking for hardware differences between the two. If you add the fact that the S4 has a better design and added sensors for temperature and pressure to texs list, your question should be: CONSIDERING THE HARDWARE, IN WHAT WAYS HAS THE S4 NOT SURPASSED THE S3? |
Most of the responses on this thread are really surprising. It got me wondering- if educated Nigerians with access to the internet can think like this, then what about the uneducated ones? I now see why some doctors or rogue pharmaceutical companies make millions off Nigerians all in the name of washing their blood' or giving them drugs to that effect. |
Segzy23: They could have put 3100mAh battery in it to give it more battery life, but they didn't want to compromise on the size and weight as you mentioned. Rather they gave people the choice, if you want something bigger with more battery life, then go for the Samsung galaxy noteThe larger battery on the note does not necessarily mean the note would last better because it has a larger screen. I just want consumers and OEMs to put more focus into battery life. |
A nice phone I must say, just as expected. Except for one or two drawbacks mainly in design, it ticks most boxes and should be a market hit. Also, I think upcoming smarphones should easily give at least 2 days of battery life with moderate - heavy use. Sadly, this is an area most OEMs are not pushing for. Instead it's a race for thinner and lighter (which is also not bad) |
luluosas: OK. Here are your details. Good luck. Thanks but it didn't work |

Just like that of Airtel, I can't see the amount of data allotted to each of the plans. |
Nice move by the NCC. They have been doing quite well lately with the reduction in SMS price, putting a stop to useless promos e.t.c. I think what is left now is for them to drastically reduce mobile data prices and improve quality of services offered. |
