What do you guys think?

Personally, I think it's a bit expensive considering Samsung has always launched their flagships especially those of last year between 90 and 100k. It looks as if they are beginning to increase prices as they become a more dominant force. But then, this comes with at least 32GB storage unlike previous models.

Samsung galaxy note III is set to hit Nigerian stores on October 1st.
The Pre-order page with a countdown is already up. The note III goes for N115,000 and the Gear smartwatch for N50,000

The note III comes with a 5.7" Full HD Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, 32/64GB ROM, an octacore processor, a 13MP camera, the capacitive S-pen and a 3200 mAh removable battery.

Funny enough, I was thinking on getting a lumia but I guess I'm gonna jump ship to Samsung (Note III on my mind).

The issue about back-date is synonymous to nokia (don't even try to argue this fact). Check my previous threads on this section as at 2010 through my other i.d and you'll see I was once a die hard symbian fan. I could list tens of symbian app that requires the back dating stuff.. Guys had to boy-cout normal procedures just to enjoy some apps.

Back dating is not synonymous with Nokia. It was used on older symbian devices to circumvent expired certificates which relied on system time.
This is forward dating (not back) and it can be used on any device to force this update.
Is that so hard for you to understand?

Talking about boycotting,the fact that android has alot of pirated apps should tell you that its not limited to any OS. Back or forward dating is just a hack for processes dependent on system time- something most developers have since learnt to stop using.
Yes, the process may change but the result doesn't.

Seeing you're still finding it difficult to understand, let me bring it down to kindergarten level.

Simply put, updates like this do not roll out to everyone at once. This is not dependent on the OS you use. It usually rolls out to devices in batches to avoid overloading the system.
One way to circumvent this is by forward dating to trick the system into believing the time for your device has reached or by simply waiting for it to get to your device.

If you had been attentive, you would have noticed some people got it yesterday even before the official announcement, some today and maybe some later today or tomorrow.
You see the OS didn't play any part here



P.S. I would advice you to remain in the romance section where you wouldn't have so much problem understanding basic stuff.

You should know that worldwide services like this take time to roll out across devices. Forward dating simply makes it easier.
FYI, I saw that tip on an android site and it works on all devices be it BB, iOS, android e.t.c

Yes they would get treated not because the doctor pays for it, but because a system has been set to cater for that and retrieve the funds later.

Like I keep saying, no country in the world offers free services at the cost of the doctor.

I am not supporting the situation of things in Nigeria, but I am against those who think a doctor should bear the financial burden of the care he offers and go on to mention the NHS as an example. I always ask them, how many NHS doctors have treated people and still go on to bear the cost because as far as offering free treatment (by will or by force) is concerned, you would be hard pressed to see those doing that better than our Nigerian doctors.

Where are the people (especially forsbel and co) who always insult Nigerian doctors for not giving patients free treatment?

The iPhone is the most successful smarphone for a reason- more than any android device. They wouldn't be selling millions if they weren't doing something right.

1. price
2. value for money
3. basic quality
4. functionality

Take a look at his first post on this thread where he said anyone using an iPhone is stvpid. Those people wouldn't even touch a Tecno phone with a long stick.

You see the problem I have with most of you people who have used java phones all your life and for the first time just used a very low-end android phone and you are ejaculating all over yourself.
Those features that amaze you about the N3 are things people got tired of using several years ago and have moved on.

Lastly, one thing you should not forget to ask yourself is that why is the iPhone the most successful smarphone to date?
Also hope you know that when iPhone 5 launched in China (a country where you would see cheap and higher quality androids than your Tecno), it sold over 2 million devices in just 3 days?

Your whole problem lies in the fact that you don't know who determines the legality of a process. Apple just like any tech company do not have that power. So if Apple says I should not use my phone at work, then according to your reasoning it becomes illegal.

Seeing that the best phone you've used in your life is the Tecno N3, you should keep shut and take notes when tech is being discussed.

You use the lowest grade android phone and you call one of the best phones out there trash.

If you have ever come across an iOS device, you would realise how naive you sound. Personally, I will pick a secondhand iPhone 5 over a dozen new Tecno N3s

Just like anything iOS, it looks very neat and polished. Though I should add that not all features are novel, kudos to them for making so much changes and still keeping it polished.

Have you ever thought that iOS was never meant to be android?

They are both different OSes and should act and feel different. That not withstanding, there is always room for improvement and new features are always welcome. We should however not forget that they are meant to be different.

Just stop all this and use what suits you.
