peteofi: RIP ma. She was among the trailblazers in NTA.
Nope.
She was second wave, with Siene Rezak-Lawal, Cyril Stober and the rest.
The trailblazers include names like John Momoh (CEO Channels) l, Sola Omole, Ruth Benamasia-Opia, Yinka Craig, Hameed Audio, Hauwa Baba-Ahmed, and Ronke Ayuba.
Is PMS not one of the most volatile fractions of peteoleum?
People, during the refining process, PMS is one of the earliest products to distill over, while DPK and AGO, being heavier, collect lower in the tower and mostly after PMS is completely removed because PMS vaporises at lower temperatures.
So, WHY THE DELAY IN PETROL PRODUCTION?!?!?
Even physical processes are turned upside-down because this is Nigeria!
aswani: Your post is the funniest on this thread because despite rightfully acknowledging the news as fake, you are still treating it as real by calling non existent Jamil an Idiot.
Nope....that award belongs to the person celebrating the fictitious "baller" like he would if he were real.
eliwa47: Ekeremadu ( sorry for the spelling) on my mind right now, I don't know who the hell on earth advised him to go abroad and to worsen it UK for that matter o, for his daughters Kidney Transplant, when he can easily get it done here in Nigeria. I pray they will be release soon. If you ask me the choice is yours to either give your kidney out for 1m and have health issues or die young or live longer and healthier but suffering! Cos of the economic situation of this blady fok**n kwantry.
1m is nothing but if someone beg you to release it for like 100m, I think it's a fair deal
Nigerian politicians don't trust the system they are charged with protecting and developing.
They will rather fly to the UK for headache.
Imagine going to a restaurant and the owner/chef is eating Chicken Republic takeout! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
immortalcrown: [sup][/sup]Is suicide not a sin? Is suicide an evangelism? Anyways, you are not alive to answer the question.
May your soul rest in peace.
But God didn't fail you. You failed to understand that God's ways are not the ways of human.
I'm not sure suicide is sin in that religion.
Let the Alfas come and correct me if I'm wrong sha, I will accept.
All I know is, suicide bombers believe they are serving their god and he will welcome them with bevies of beautiful girls when they're done blowing themselves (and others) up.
QuotaSystem: Aside from the 650,000 barrels per day it will refine, Dangote’s Petrochemical Plant will also produce 1 million and 3 million metric tones of Polypropylene and Urea Fertilizer respectively for our consumption and export.
BUA’s Akwa Ibom refinery when completed will further drive competition in the downstream oil industry which will benefit the consumers through pricing and availability. Aliko Dangote is truly an industrial collosus, a true African giant.
Patriotic Nigerians are proud of you 🇳🇬
modified:
What is not certain, is the extent to which Dangote’s refinery will reduce petrol prices in Nigeria.
What is certain however, is that the laws of economics dictate that a reduced cost of production is likely to reflect in reduced prices.
Our present pump prices are not dictated solely by the international price of crude, but by the landing cost of imported PMS. The components of this landing cost includes product cost, traders and insurance margin, shipping, charges by government agencies, financing & banking charges and storage charges.
You will agree that the elimination of shipping and govt port charges, and a possible reduced product cost in exchange for discounted supply terms or tax incentives, will definitely result in a lower total cost of production and consequently, lower prices at the pump. Some might say Dangote needs to repay loans, pay good wages, pay taxes, maintenance etc. but news flash! The foreign refineries we are currenty importing from also have these overhead costs embedded in their product prices.
Furthermore, with the eventual completion of Abdulsamad Rabiu's 250k bpd BUA refinery in Akwa Ibom, and the Waltersmith 10k bpd modular refinery in Imo among others; we are looking at a combined total capacity of nearly 1m bpd supply of refined petroleum (compared to our current 427.7k bpd/68 million litres daily imported petrol consumption), and the resultant boost in supply is expected to further drive down prices over time.
Other benefits of the refinery include: - Over 100,000 jobs created - Saved Forex spent daily on importation (reducing demand pressure on USD) - Adequate local supply of PMS, AGO, DPK & Jet A1 fuels. - Increased competition in deregulated downstream sector in favor of Nigerians. - Increase in FG Revenue from earnings from dividends (20% investment in refinery), taxes and other levies. - Creation of allied industries and appreciation in real estate value around the refinery. -Nigeria sheds the embarrassing label and internationally acclaimed, disgraceful paradox of being a major crude oil producer that still imports its fuel. My humble two cents.
After all this long story, if pump price no go down, weting you go tok den?
I'm pretty sure you heard that the NNPCL GMD told legislators that refineries are not built to reduce cost of fuel!
Imagine!
How will anyone explain that petroleum refined overseas, bought with FOREX, shipped with FOREX and not subsidised by FG anymore will be the same price as Nigerian crude refined locally?
It seems impossible to explain, right? Well, guess what? They will try to explain.
Rebuker: A masquerade was filmed being punished by the Nigerian army. In the video, the masquerade was seen kneeling down while one of the soldiers asked, "How is your morale?" Receiving heavy punches from the soldier, the masquerade responded, "My morale is high, sir”.
After a while, the soldiers played music, and the masquerade was asked to dance to it. He was filmed dancing to the music.
Thereafter, the masquerade was seen clearing grasses under the supervision of the soldiers, with his costume hanging on his legs.
One of the soldiers repeatedly called him "masquerade," to which he repeatedly answered, "Sir."
Then the soldier said to the masquerade, "By the time you leave here, tell your friends who ran away what your eyes witnessed." The masquerade was asked to say, "Thank God," and he responded, "Thank God, sir."
It's not clear what offense the masquerade committed at the time of posting this video, but we hope to provide the full details once we find out.

GYBABA: Country hard and food is expensive and as of now, I personally think beans is one food item that I get to eat which fills me up for long and at the same time, not to expensive. I normally cook 1 and a half cup & it's more than enough to fill me the whole day. For this reason, I've been eating beans frequently. It's about #1400 to #1500 per Congo here in Ibadan for Oloyin beans. Some other varieties are sold as low as 1k per Congo. This method would save your gas or kerosene & it's not for people in a hurry. I tried it after reading about it online. I think it's called "Dry Cooking Method".
So this morning, I decided to cook beans. I cooked Oloyin beans in particular and I cooked it in just about 32 minutes without using Potash (Kaun) or whatever it is most of you use. I know the next question on your minds is the "How?". LFG!
1. The steps matter. 2. I used a thick pot to retain heat (there's a reason for this). 3. I cooked at high flame levels. 4. The cover of the pot has to fit the pot so well, so tightly that the heat won't escape. 5. This will only work when cooking small quantity of beans. Mine is 2 cups. It will take longer when cooking in large quantity. This method is for students & single people who cook for just themselves. Family people, sorry you hear? So I'll head to the steps now.
Whether you're using gas or stove, all the time the beans is on fire, the flame level should be high.
I first made sure the beans boiled. Took about 10 minutes at high flame level, then I switched off the gas & allowed the beans soak in hot water for about 1 hour still inside that same pot. I used a thick pot as it retains heat more than light pots so this kept the water hot within the 1 hour period & it was covered throughout so the heat won't escape.
After 1 hour, the beans had gotten a bit soft. I switched on the gas & turned on the flame to be high. Within 15 minutes, it was already soft after which I added the remaining ingredients apart from onions. I added onions immediately after the 1 hour break.
The remaining 7 minutes was to let the ingredients seep in. Took me exactly 32 minutes with high flames.
There you go fam! Na hard economy make me discover this even though I'm sure some of you here know a faster way even without using extra resources or pressure cooker. If you do it please share, I'm still trying to discover how to cook beans within 5 minutes 😂 Oga Tinubu, you do this one. Na you motivate me. Thank you sir!
FreeStuffsNG: Despite being the largest economy in Africa, we are barely indebted to IMF. This is impressive. I reckon this was the forex support we got from the IMF during the covid 19 pandemic but today our economy is in surplus and our GDP keeps increasing quarter on quarter.
Below is the current data on Nigerian economy, Q3, 2023 as shared by Statisense
✅Q3 2023 GDP growth rate at 2.54%.
✅The Oil Sector had it best growth in Q3 2023 since Q1 2020 when it grew by 5.06%.
✅Improved Oil Production capacity, achieving the best output in Sept at 1.390 mbpd.
✅Achieved Trade surplus of ₦1.89 trillion in Q3 2023 and ₦3.52 trillion in 9months, Exports > Imports.
✅Stock Market performance of +38.1% Year Till Date.
✅FG surpassed its Revenue target of ₦8.283 trillion as at Sept 2023, achieving ₦8.653 trillion, a 4.5% above expectation.
✅Effective tax collection with CIT at +121% of its target and VAT at +11% (2023).
The naysayers, unpatriotic elements, criminal defamers, cyberbullies and liars will not see these milestones nor benefit from the progress we are making.
Ghana and Egypt no try at all. Ghana is particularly a very bad case given that 56% of her total debt were forgiven around 2002, it's today back in serious debt, economic quagmire and even unable to pay its debt. It's now offering to pay debt with gold and cocoa.
Nigeria is in great, steady, competent and patriotic hands. Dangote Refinery is to start production soon, dry farming to ramp up our wheat, massive electricity projects on going, subsidy off, end to the use of our hard earned forex to defend a USD being overvalued by the street/unpatriotic speculators and a brilliant team headed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu!
All the enemies of Nigeria ti keran and will lose las las. They always lose.God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
Christianoir: I’ve been writing exam since i haven’t gotten any carryover…Just had one today God [u] I feel disgusted and ashamed.. since I started writing exams since Monday all my grade have been A throughout It cbt exam once you finish writing you will see your score
I wrote and score 40/100 which is F (carryover) The course wasn’t that hard..I read it, it was time 60 questions to answer 20min too small.
I don’t know what to do….this is my first This is my first carryover course since It breaking me down
I don’t even have to zeal to read for next course again
When I was graduating, I sat down to chat with a friend a few years behind me.
He said he hadn't had any carryover up to that point. I congratulated him. He now added: "but I haven't had any A, either".
I told him, "Bro, I've had ALL grades, A, B, C, D, E and F. More importantly, I had one F, one E, one D, few Cs. I had over 30 Bs and about 15 As".
So, yeah. I had a carryover. Big deal!
My other grades overwhelmed it and I finished with a very high 2:1.
If your goal is not to have a carryover, you may not realise it. I didn't.
If your goal is to have a high CGPA, you can realise it. I did.
Even so, real life begins after Uni, you know.....I've had employers and bosses who're not as smart as me, but that's life, isn't it?
All I'm saying is, a single carryover defining your life is just not real.
Misterone: for one, you can be a pilot in the air force because your height will not fit into the cockpit of their training aircraft
All creature comforts are made to fit the normal (i.e. average) demographic.
In the case of height, it will be nigh impossible to get a lot of things off-the-shelf if you're either too tall or too short, from clothes to shoes to beds/mattresses to things we all take for granted like toilet seats and shower heads!
Most things need to be specially made/bespoke, for you to enjoy them.
Still, too tall is waaaay better than being a dwarf or hobbit type of person.
However, it's the health issues that are scary. There's a reason why most really old people are "little, old men" or "little old ladies".
As a person of average income and average daily activity, it's better to have a compact body than too long or too short. The extremes both have their issues.
I'm 5-11 and sometimes, as I hit middle age, I wish I was smaller than I am. Young people enjoying their height, wait till you hit 50 and above......and pray you don't gain any weight.
Gamesmart: It is not completely nonsensical. I included it when I said ".....enjoying Quota System with their family".
The point is that, the Core North has a far larger proportion of poor and mentality that limits them and directs them more to Arab/Islam.
Northerners don't train their kids. Only a few top Northerners do. A large fraction end up with Almajiri .............and now we are seeing bandits biting them for not developing their people.
By the way, MC Oluomo's kids are in USA to study. That is agbero family going to the USA.
1. They do not have the prerequisite educational levels (many Nigerians leave via education route) 2. They are not great at the language of the West (They start of learning Arabic more than English) 3. The religion is number one and everything to them; even more than self and familial well-being (Hence, would not want to mix with infidels in power; they would rather head for a Muslim nation) 4. They are poor and cannot afford travelling (Northerners are the poorest in Nigeria). 5. Poor education and strong hierarchical systems leads to accepting fate of being at the bottom and destitute (only few are the top are enlightened and enjoying like Kings; including enjoying Quota System with their family)
Are the agberos of Lagos going to the US?
Are the touts of Nkpor going?
Take a chill pill, man!
Even if what I wrote appears nonsense to you, can I argue that it's not completely nonsensical, at least?
The poor of all tribes are rarely able to leave Nigeria. It's the relatively well-off who do. Now, you see even the rich Hausa-Fulani? They don't go anywhere. They have all they need here, to the detriment of everyone else.
How many rich Yorubas do you know who don't have a family member in Europe or North America?
We love sending our kids there to study and excel. The Northerners will train their kids and ensure they are well-placed right here with jobs, contracts, etc. After all, the system favours them.
Babangidapikin: Can't they use 🐐 goat why always human being ...I think Government needs to seat and do a research on this issue, why must human blood be sacrifice..m
It's a spiritual law that even the devil knows.
Why do you think in Christianity, Jesus had to do the sacrifice once and for all?
Well, Chriatians accept that, but others certainly prefer the devil's method because it gives them what THEY want.
Christianity teaches us to do what GOD wants after we are set free by His sacrifice.
I wish the true, simple message can be preached once more, instead of these "big men of God" speaking big grammar upandan.
Mcslize: The lady did well. But from the tone of the write up, and if you can think critically just like me, it all appeared as eye service from the part of the lady because the guy hold if you know what I mean.
If it was to be a poor guy, the story won't be the same. She wouldn't have stood by him. Ladies like putting their heads where there is money. Who wouldn't care for a man that has money who is sick? She knows what she was doing.
Every lady will actually pretend to care for a rich man cuz they see it as them investing which might end up yielding fruits along the line which actually happened. That's the weak point of many men. Any little care from a lady will make them fall in love, whether the love is genuine or not.
To me, any care a lady shows to a guy who is rich, I don't see it as a genuine care.
Please note, I am not in any way trying to down play the good gesture of the lady but then, we can see through the story that it's because the guy has money that was why she cared for him. Let the guy be a poor guy let's see if she will do all of that.
In essence, if you have money as a guy, trust me even lovepedler will show you some unusual care to you that will blow your imagination. Who wouldn't care for a rich guy!
Hmmmm....I've seen at least a woman leave her husband when he was seriously sick. The husband is my friend. She couldn't come back again after he got better. She even left her baby with him and ran away.
Maybe you think it's the money, but I can assure you, even ladies who have rich husbands are sore pressed to care for them when they are sick.
Kidney stones are no joke, Bro....no be malaria or headache.
