Max soften that movie heart girl . . . Legally Blonde may not be anything close to oscar material but it was hella funny! thoroughly entertaining.Regardless of how convincing the acting may have been in Brokeback, the very foundation on which the storyline is built is one of sand . . . so in my humblest of opinions it cannot stand. Or maybe its becos it was a 'love story' . . . I've already said 'love stories' just don't do much for me . . . they never have and never will. Look at Vesc spitting cinematic theology and philosophy lol. I feel you brother . . . I on the other hand prefer more dialogue in my movies. I get the whole 'get in the painting' 'fill in the blanks' 'carried by emotion not talking' type of pictures, but different strokes for different folks. You really hit the nail on the head though . . . I didn't fancy Memento or Fightclub much either - I guess we see a pattern forming here ![]() and I'll probably get ripped for this one but whatever, I was severely upset at the critically acclaimed "There will be blood" *rolls her eyes* warreva mayne. I feel like sometimes hollywood tells us a movie is great, it is hyped, packaged and delivered as great, shoved down our throats as great - but in reality it just honestly and truthfully isn't. |
Ebumowa, did you listen to this link? http://thecfrn.com/osnap/about.html (under the "Intresting Stuff" section, click on the "My testimony" play button, its not a long audio clip). I'm intrested in hearing your response. Thanks. |
I mean I didn't expect a TD-fest but still the game was incredibly boring which is what you get with two powerful defenses unfortunately lacking an equally dynamic offensive side. |
iice:Anytime you see two men especially kissing no matter the context - is nasty . And nah haven't seen Milk. and I couldn't resist, here's a youtube video of the famous country singer Willie Nelson's song "Ain't going down on brokeback mountain" (yes I listen to country music) I apologize about the language but it is just toooo fuunnnny! [flash=200,200]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/HyF93_kwGeI[/flash] iice:No way . . . what the documentary style of filming? |
justkunmi:Ehen I told you before now didn't I? So.wat.old.movie.u.have.in.mind?The Matrix Series . . . everyone has watched them. and yes yes I did make a promise I will fulfil soon enough.Gamine:You hit the nail right on the head. "District 9" is a game-changer, and like all game changers no subsequent knock-offs ever match the brilliance of the original. I'm certain we'll see a second installment though . . . |
justkunmi:I've actually seen Brokeback . . . if you can stomach the nastiness it is a so-so movie. Not sure what all the oscar talk was about. Madam.JeSoulJK forget now! . . . my imaginary cat ate the remote and I haven't been able to uhm . . . watch uhm. . . anything lately . . . except stuff I am actually intrested inShould.we.do.old.movies.?. Really?I promise! @topichehe . . . told ya it was well worth it. Were you mad about the Nigerian part? |
wow all these conspiracies . . . I want to be surprised but somehow I'm not. -Pres-elect & Cap28 believe it was Bush and Cheney etc, -Richy thinks they aren't smart enough to do it, -Ezeagu thinks they did it indirectly, -McCloud speculates it could've been some 'secret societies', -Blackspade says it was Isreal and worldwide Zionists, I see all the points of speculation but by no means are they cohesive enough to stand as a solid arguement that the Bush Administration planned 9/11. I've watched those youtube videos and documentaries (one was even on the Discovery channel last week) but still I think none of them hold any water. |
I pray sincerely that the Titans - Steelers opener last night is not a foreshadow of the season to come . . . what a bore! I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter and woke up somewhere in the OT and went to bed. Well the Titans have shown promise sha. |
hehe perhaps for Norbit . . . but I'm saving those stars for 'Legally Blonde' Max I like your suggestions. Lets do The Matrix series! pretty please? I love pt 1 but have some scathing remarks for the rest of the trinity. |
Is there? any 9/11 Truthers? As the Anniversary rolls around tomorrow the conspiracy theorists are out in full force . . . I don't buy any of it. |
Lol . . . oya Dayo tell us what did Britian/the British do to you now? ![]() |
another one of the airheads on Capitol Hill obviously unaware or uneducated (I'm inclined towards the latter) on how to conduct oneself in a public setting. |
Lol . . . you will be apologizing to Prophetess Jesoul in a few months ![]() |
Nope. Haven't seen any Basterds lately How about we take a trip down the lane and 'review' some older movies? |
Gamine:You should go see it, it's a refresher of a movie. I enjoyed it much. There're a couple of reviews on the Movie Club thread: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-262653.384.html#msg4452170 and as for your Ryan Reynolds crush? . . . no comment I very much liked his sarcastic self in Blade Trinity. |
RuuDie:Of course now, he was savoring every moment of it ![]() Maybe JeSoul should give Nadal a chance to prove his potence. . . . she'd pro'lly be clutching quadruplets after 1 roundLol . . . god forbid bad thing. Now if it had been another one of those proper drop dead undeniable stud of a fella that is on tour . . . ![]() |
dayokanu:ROTFLOL eya e kpele sir tubabie:and nobody thought skinny miss Sharapova could thrash and totally upset Serena couple yrs ago . . . Go Wozniacki! Clijsters is no jjc, I expect a grueling 3 setter btw her and Serena leaving Serena too tired to power her way through Woz. |
@ topic did anyone catch Obama's speech yesterday? Cant wait to see how all this wraps up.
Yeah I caught a good chunk of it and I thought it was a well written and delivered speech. As 'nice' as it sounded, I don't think too many Americans were listening/watching last night. Congress looked like a bunch of bratty 5yr olds the way it was split with democrats giving a standing ovation every other minute and republicans all seated with annoyed disgusted looks . . . and these are our lawmakers? My default position on all political matters including healthcare is that they are all lying (dem and rep alike) we just have to figure out who's lying less to us. |
bawomolo:Kai! see how far a star has fallen, how low the mighty have stooped all because of pride dude swallow your pride and go and play second fiddle to championship contender, it is not a death sentence. |
By the way I like that Wozniacki girl. She's got some serious potential and her game is not boring like some other ladies on the tour who shall remain nameless. I hope she goes all the way to the final and takes it. |
dayokanu:Gbam! How many fellas on the tour wear their ![]() |
Year-long Purely Baseless, Emotionally Fueled Comments/Predictions NY Giants - Don't make the playoffs, they will forever pay for denying the Pats a perfect season Detroit Lions - *cough cough* Make the playoffs, I'd like that kid Stafford to do well. Cincy Bengals - For the sake of Chad please please please stop wasting your potential! Pittsburgh Steelers - Solid all around, very likely to make a run back to the SB Houston Texans - will continue to stink Indianapolis Colts - only a shadow of what they used to be and it will show. I hope they don't smell playoffs Tennesse Titans - Can they repeat the run from last yr? Hope so Miami Dolphins - Abeg carry go! there can be only 1 AFC east dominant team and it is not you. Denver Broncos - I hope (against all evidence) that the absence of that spoilt diva at qb will leave them better off SD Chargers - If not for the stud Philip Rivers I would have assigned them to irrelevance. GB Packers - Go Rodgers go!!! wipe Bratt Favre out of the memories of Packer fans. Minnesota Vikings - To put it simply, I hope Bratt breaks his own record for INT's NO Saints - I dunno . . . I don't think the Reggie Bush experiment will work afterall. Dallas Cowboys - I am already overcome with laughter, Romo will be exposed even further for the weakling that he is Philadelphia Eagles - For the sake of saving Vick from lunatic, fanatic, murdering philly fans please succeed! Chicago Bears - Hehe I can see the headlines already . . . . "Urlacher sucker punches Cutler after he throws INT Losing The Playoff Deciding Game" NE Patriots - simply said "SUPER BOWL CHAMPS 2010!!!" Brady coming off the best qbing season ever will return to form and restore the NE glory. Amen ![]() Disclaimer: the above 'predictions' are subject to change at any moment and for any reason at the sole discretion of the author |
Hell to tha yeah! Now to smoke out Rikkygenerator, Onyinye, Ochocinco, stubborn Dolphin supporter Millico etc . . . lol lets see, what inciendiary comment can I make to bring them out? A-40 can you now let Moonstone resume her online duties? jeez . . .By the way I didn't pay my respects to Teddy Bruschi ![]() |
Don't worry, I have already sat down and talked with Federer he must never allow himself to be disgraced like that again. You refering to Monfils? that kid must have been on something illegal . . . the way he was twitching and fidgeting and talking aggressively to himself . . . scary , but nevertheless entertaining stuff. |
ThiefOfHearts:When he showed up on the scene feeling like a wanna be trendsetter wearing those hideous abominable capris that hugged this skinny behind tighter than my jeans, and he was pulling out his wedgie after every point on international tv leaving unfortunate viewers like myself traumatized it was dislike at first sight. Then he beat my boy Federer couple majors straight he must pay a heavy price for that. Like Jaybee said he has no finesse, no fine touch, no charm, na so so muscle and a constantly squeezed face like say everything na fight. |
I'm not suprised but impressed Clijsters has made it this far . . . a successful comeback so far. Taking out Serena will be a tall order though. . . . and can one of these fellas do quick and oust that creature called Nadal it will be better to spare him the heartache FedEx will deliver to him should they meet. As for Murray lol . . . it will be another 100yrs before a brit holds a GS trophy - they have been cursed. |
iice:lol Thank you jare ThiefOfHearts:You must be mistaking me with Max Gamine:Josh Duhamel - Hottest! ![]() |
Gamine which woodwork did you just crawl out from? or in other words, its good to see you! iice, please confirm that I am not the only one silently wondering "what are these girls seeing in |
Welcome to the fun Agera ![]() |
Well done guys, I have been following the discussion behind the scenes. At this point I thought I would pop in especially because of Ebumowa. Your story is not uncommon & I wanted to share this with you. It's the story of an acquaintance of mine who was gay for over 10 years, her story is powerful! please do me the incredible favor taking a few minutes to listen to it. http://thecfrn.com/osnap/about.html Powerful powerful! please listen to it! (under the "Intresting Stuff" section, click on the "My testimony" play button) http://theyuinon.com/articles/gay2.htm also here are some more stories of previously gay christians telling their equally incredible stories. |
Spiked there's no need to be ashamed of your 12 year age girl . . . youth is a good good thing ![]() iice:Nah didn't see the pics I'm going to look now but the commercials are on every other second on tv. I was wondering about the new face . . . she's an addition? hope she's not there to bite on Olivia's shine but if her intentions are noble then she's more than welcome to the freak show ![]() |
ThiefOfHearts:. . . . uhm yeah, and you refused to give us a review. lol. I think 12-year old Spiked may have as well? iice, 8 days until the season premiere of Fringe ![]() |
